OK. rohr's experience is showing now
I love that.
I don't think any Nigerian local coach would have done worst than this white overpaid boy.

But you guys will still go on to replace him by another useless white boy

So are all the white coaches that have gone to Nigerian. They have not lived up to expectations but you haven't been spending billions on them

which team has okocha coached that makes him fit to head the national team.
Experience is needed in this regard .
Which team did Claude Leroy before taking over Cameroun in 1988

As I have said earlier African will always come up with BS to prevent their own from having their chance

apart from Stephen keshi who proved himself that he is worthy of that position, who else have done so?

siasia, amodu, and the one that replace rohr, were given opportunities and they failed.

truth is we lack technical know how among Nigeria couches.
Those ex players have to prove that they deserve that position. They can start from coaching local leagues.
Keshi used to coach either Benin or Togo and he did well there and he was called to coach Nigeria and did well.

You talked about they not being given opportunities. You don't wait for opportunities to come before you prepare you prepare. You prepare while waiting for the opportunities. Start small and who will be noticed eventually.

tell me one Nigeria couch that can replace rohr at the moment?
I am African and not a Nigerian.
My question to all African federations is why not finding someone on the African continent instead of resorting to a European coach. In other words, If you think no one in Nigeria has the qualification to coach the super Eagles, can you try to find a coach in a different African country instead of running to Europe?

I truly don't see what is spectacular with Rohr for you to conclude that there is no Nigerian who can do better

i disagree with you
Do you mean there is no one on the African continent who went to coaching schools for all those African nations to hire white coaches?

Did he go to coaching school? you can't just wake up and be a coach.
And what is the point of him going to coaching school if no one will give him a chance. Did Michel Platini go to coaching school when he took over France after retirement.
Africans will always come up with b.s. reasons to prevent their own kind from succeding.
You have been hiring white who went to coaching school, so what is a results?

It is inferiority complex and tribalism that is responsible for this disgrace. Nigerians feel inferior to white people. So, our people are sold on these "if it's not white it's not right" attitude. So we bring all these failures to coach our team because they are white, and these are people that their own country don't even allow to go near their teams.

It is this same reason why road contracts, for example, are given to white-skinned people, even when these people are dubious characters in their own country. History tells us that Super Eagles was most successful during the time of Steven Keshi as the team's couch.

But sadly, inferiority syndrome and tribalism does not allow the most competent former players to coach the team. The Yorubas feel they should dominate the NFA and that everything should be located in Lagos.

So, if they cannot be the coach or if the most competent coach is from another ethnic group, they prefer to give the position to an incompetent white person. If we don't stop this ethnic nonsense in this country and run a merit-based system, we will continue to fail.

The National Assembly should enact a law that bans foreigners from coaching any of our national teams. In that law, they should also stipulate that competent and highly successful former players form the pool upon which our coaches shall be chosen from, to avoid tribalism, zoning or the disgraceful turn-by-turn mindset that has, literally, destroyed our country.

Enough with a white coach!
This should have been in front page.

That's it ny friend, instead of these guys going to coaching school, they prefer being ambassadors to betting site, posting irrelevant things on social media while their European counterparts breaking records as managers of their respective countries nd clubs.
Even if they go to coaching schools, you will stll be looking for European to hire.
There are many Africans who went to coaching schools and no one in Africa would give them a chance.

And who selected those useless players?
Isn't it a useless overpaid foreign coach?

I meant the goal keepers we took to the world cup.
I have raised this issue before the world cup.
Some dude on Nairaland was promoting a Nigeria goalkeeper who was playing in the Swiss third division. According to him, this keeper was someone who could be used for the Super Eagle in the future.
I reacted and said that was an insult to all the keepers in the Nigeria local league.
I was called all kind of names. Because I am not Nigerian, some people said I had no right to make any comment on the Super Eagle. But, those same folks have the right to comments on the British league. SMH ...

Someone was saying trash about this Tunisian goal keeper. This guy is a third choice goal keeper, yet he's better than all our goal keepers combined.
He is better than all your abroad based goalkeepers.
I am sure that the Nigeria local league has better goal keepers.

Ezenwa made the list and he is the best GK we have In that team from my point of view. But Rohr seem to prefer foreign based players.

The own goal we conceded and the second goal we conceded during our friendly game with England could have been stopped by the keeper.
That is my point.
I am convince that the Nigeria Local league have players who can do better than some of the one who went to the world cup.
But, given that the local league players live in Africa, no one is willing to give them a chance.
A very shitty mentality that we would need to get rid of if we ever went to achieve something tangible.

the problem is our home league ,we dont seem to have a very good standard home league ,most north african players dont go abroad , they are been paid well in their league and the facilities are there . if we continue rellying on foreign based players we will continue to have problems ,imagine not a single home based player made our team list, i may be wrong though
So, what has been achieved with foreign based players? Absolutely nothing. And if a single home based player didn't make the team, it is just because people have this bias that whatever comes from the West if better than what is in Africa.
I am sure, the Nigerian local league players could have done a better job than your foreign based players who are good for nothing.

It is funny that those African foreign based players are only good for AFCON and completely useless in the world cup.
Maybe we should try players from the African local leagues in the world cup. We did it before and it worked.

Yes, but the fact remain the same. Those African foreign based players are good for nothing in the world cup. Maybe it is time to focus on players from local leagues.

Why you guys are always focusing on foreign based players instead of players from the local leagues.
Back in the days, African teams were doing better in the world cup with players from their local leagues. Take a look on the game Cameroun England of the world cup 1990. Nothing to compere with Tunisia England

Am afraid all Africa teams will not succeed to round 16. it quite glaring
African teams were doing fine in the world cup with players from local leagues. With each edition of the world cup, we were getting closer and closer to win the trophy. 1982, 1986 and 1990

Starting 1994, African teams started to select only foreign based players and we haven't made any further progress from what was achieved in 1990.
