FamilyRe: What Will You Do In A Marriage Like Mine? by thedio(m): 1:43pm On Jan 20, 2021
VanDerWaalforces:
May God restore the peace that once existed in your home. Amen! Madam, I advice you take your time and decipher the remote cause of your husband's behaviour and see what you can do to address it. More importantly, couple must learn to reach a compromise on every issue in their home; but it seems your husband is ignorance of this. I suggest you both meet a councillor who would help educate him and council both of you approximately. Please, make sure you remain submissive to him and remind him that it is his duty to love and cherish you. Good luck!
I can tell u from that write up that op has been dominating that man for long and he refused to let her have the final say on this issue. Op did not tell us her action when her husband say no.Her action changed that man totally. The issue of herbalist, she want to tag that man bad.
Her husband is enjoying d moment at least he can live his life now. Op should calm down and allow that man to lead

Madam u r the architect of ur problem. From ur words I can see that u were dominating him and pushed him to wall when u told him ur mum should come. It was suppose to be his mum to take take of the kid and not ur mum.

On the issue of native doctor,i will say u r exaggerating it so that everyone here will see him as a bad person.
That man can not endure ur excessiveness anymore, he is enjoying the moment cos he whatever He want.

Instead of asking why the price of cement is so high in Nigeria
You people are asking what is the cost...what a wasted nation

Just because one man called Dangote is holding everybody by the neck
The price of cement is at the whims and caprices of the MONOPOLIST
increasing prices at his beck and call

But thank GOD that the GHANANIANS were wiser than we do
They refused such exploitation and the company folded up!

Let us bring back the price control board
Until this is done, everybody is in trouble ooo!
. Some pple can lie for africa. Oh sorry that is why they r importing cement from Nigeria

CrimeReps Consider Deadlines For Courts On Criminal, Civil Cases by thedio(op): 4:21pm On Dec 10, 2020
A bill seeking to set timeframes for various categories of courts in Nigeria within which they must dispense justice in criminal and civil cases before them has passed second reading at the House of Representatives.

“This bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, to set time within which civil and criminal cases and matters are heard and determined at trial and appellate courts in order to eliminate unnecessary delay in justice administration and delivery,” the explanatory memorandum on the legislation reads.

Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary, Mr Onofiok Luke, who sponsored the bill, said when the proposal becomes law, it “will entirely change the face of justice in Nigeria for the good of all.”

Leading debate on the bill, Luke said in part, “It is more pleasing that this proposal is made in this particular legislative house which is known to be pro-people. The pace of justice delivery in Nigeria is alarmingly slow. On average, cases stay a minimum of five to 15 years before determination and judgment. The snail-like pace of justice delivery has caused great discomfort, inconveniences, and hopelessness to litigants, investors, and businesses.

“People only know the date they approach the court but they do not know when their matters will get determined. The inability of our judicial system to deliver justice to the people within reasonable time has occasioned great frustration on the part of the people and has caused them to resort to self-help. Slow justice delivery serves as a stumbling block to Nigeria’s industrialisation drive and foreign investment.”

The lawmaker also noted that there are so many suspects in criminal cases who are “wasting away,” leading to the congestion of correctional centres and case lists in our courtrooms.

The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, who noted that the bill had some issues that needed to be addressed, said the House Committee on the Review of the Constitution headed by the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, would scrutinise the proposal.

The bill, which passed first reading at the House on September 29, 2020, particularly seeks to amend Chapter VII, Part IV of the Principal Act by inserting a new Subsection ‘A’ in Section 287.

Superior courts are to deliver their judgment between 270 and 330 days, while the junior courts deliver between 210 and 270 days.

FamilyRe: Help: My Younger Brother Disrespects Me Alot by thedio(m): 12:18pm On Dec 08, 2020
kenwills:
Hello Nairalanders,
Ever since I came back from school due to the pandemic and ASUU's strike, my younger brother has never shown me an iota of respect. I discovered he is into internet scam, and I cautioned him seriously to desist from such but he never listened.

He mocks me indirectly to my hearing, gathers little children in the neighborhood, tells them all sorts of defamatory things to say about me. Whenever this children see me around the compound, they start making jest of me and calling me all sort of unprintable names.
I warned him sternly to stop all of that else he would regret it. But the more I speak the worse he becomes in disrespecting and defaming my personality in the neighborhood.

I have been emotionally down for some days now due to this issue, but I refused to use violence on him out of anger.

Pls help me what can I do?
r u guys orphans

How We Killed A Big And Powerful Python Last Night With TEREX (picture)

It was around 7:30pm yesterday, I was going to my duty post and was inside TEREX with my colleague when we sited the big snake.

We called the attention of the operator to it ,he said we should not worry that he saw it trying to cross the road.It was caught in the glare of headlight,it could not turn back and any attempts to move forward is suicidal then it stopped.

The operator swerved to the road side and ran over it. He reversed for us to carry it but we were surprised when we saw it moving and trying to escape.we came out of the cabin, held the rail and directed the operator to pin it down with tyre.

We steeped down from the machine and started throwing stones but as the stones were hitting it,they bounced off. We decided to move closer and aim its head.we hit the head like three time with big stones before we looked for a rope and stick. We knot the rope, raised it head up with stick and put the rope. We dragged it up and tied it to the TEREX.
I never see a life big snake like that in my life.

SportsWho Is Your Deadliest Number 9 Ever by thedio(op): 3:30pm On Sep 11, 2020
It is over two decades now that I have been following the game of soccer and I have seen a lot of deadly strikers with unique skills, instinct, stregth and speed.

I am talking about traditional number 9,the one we used to call standing 9.

With the way football is evolving the role is becoming easier,as the pressure from 5&6 has reduced drastically with the support of attackers from both left and right who are capable of shaking the net.Besides emphasis is now on speed, off ball movement and positioning.

Personally I prefer all round goal poacher both inside and outside the box with good skills and ruggedity. I will pick Ronaldo Luis Nazario Delima, the fat Rinaldo according to Sir Alex Ferguson.

A goal scoring machine he was, blessed with physical attributes, skills, gun speed and explosive shot on both feet. If Ronaldo beat a defender outside his 18yard box, all he needs to do is to relax and read R O N A L D O 9 at the back of his jersey. His presence in the box made many coaches and goalkeepers pee in pant
