Hello house, could you please help me out with my budget for my uk visa. I earn 259k each month and spend 40k as expenses every month. Please what reasonable budget can I present for a 6 days visit to the Uk. Pls put hotel Hotel reservation into consideration and this is my first application. Abeg help a brother. I am confuse

Your monthly salary is about 518 pounds as at today.

Except for the effect of Covid-19 14 days quarantine, you could plan a 2 week tourism with GBP1k budget. However, this is almost double your monthly salary and it is a risk factor. If you have someone that can invite you so you don't have to pay for accommodation, your budget can come down to about 700 Pounds.

If no one is inviting you, i'd suggest you find an affordable hostel in/or outside London. Keeping your budget low but reasonable will be helpful.

Please house I need an urgent response to this. I want to apply for a tourist visa for myself and my youngest child (2yrs). Do i need to pay for his visa too or will mine cover his?

Kaampe7

You need to pay your child and yourself even if the child is 1 day old.

Hello TheExalted,

Please check out the following link, it answers your question

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students.html

Since his classes can hold fully online, he’ll have to convince the border control why his coming to Canada is necessary. The ability to enter depends on if the border control officer is convinced plus his institution must have a covid-19 readiness plan.

Best wishes

Thank you so much, I appreciate.

Good day everyone I will really appreciate if someone can please give me a clue of this refusal cuz I'm a lil bit confused.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status

It means that they're not convinced that you will leave Canada because you didn't substantiate that
you have enough assets and/or enough funds for the trip. Is this a student visa?

Hello gurus in the house. My son got a student visa to Canada but the school just announced that January classes will be done online. Will he be allowed in into Canada despite the online classes.

I'd be glad to hear for the you. Thank you.

I read here on this thread, some people who did biometric in Lagos 15 September received collection email on Friday 02 October

A friend went with his wife on Sep 15th, he got collection email on Friday Oct 2nd but the wife's own is not yet ready. Wife was denied entry to UK due to using work visa for tourist. Perhaps reason it's taking long. Anyone has a clue why? My friend collected his visa yesterday at Ikeja.

twojul:
Hello everyone,

I'd just like some advice before i finalize my application. I will be applying and getting my biometrics done at ikeja. I'll be spending a month in the UK in December and i'll be spending £2k pounds on this trip. (Is that too much or too little?)

Here is a list of my supporting documents:
1. Invitation letter from my friend who is a citizen.
2. My friend's passport data page.
3. My admission letter (i do not school in nigeria) showing date of admission and duration of course but not date of course completion. (However due to some reasons it's taking me longer to get my degree. Would this be an issue? If they calculate and see that i should have graduated last year although my uni has given my a letter addressed to whom it may concern saying i'm still a student – See number 4)
4. Letter from my uni saying I'm currently enrolled as a student.
5. A copy of my student visa expiring summer 2021.
6. Bank statement showing 2,600,000N. (This is my bank statement from my savings account and the money started accumulating from 350k at the beginning of lockdown and took 6 months to reach this amount. My parents decided to still give me my monthly student upkeep money even though i was in Nigeria. I didn't spend it because i was living free with them cos lockdown didn't let me go back to school. I hope this is okay and they won't want an explanation for these funds.)
7. Itinerary.
8. Birth certificate.
9. On a previous application for a study visa, i explained in my additional information that although my study was for 2 months, i had applied for other courses at other institutions and i would stay back to do those courses if i got accepted while in the UK but i obviously would not stay longer than the duration of my visa. I was granted the study visa and i'm assuming they read that clause in my application. I'm including the acceptance letters from those institutions in this current application to prove i was actually busy and not wasting time in the UK. I've now mentioned this previous study period and the clause i said again on my current application and also stated that i supported myself with funds from my parents whose bank statement i provided as supporting document on that study visa application. MY QUESTION NOW IS: Should i include those acceptance letters as documents in this current application and remind them of what i said when i applied for that study visa or i should just forget it because i didn't overstay that study visa.

Sorry for the long story and thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I would plan to spend GBP1200 instead. of GBP2,000.

Hello my people, I am new here and will need your wise counsel.

I want to apply for a UK Visitor visa and will need your guide on below concerns.

1. Is it safe to indicate that i'll spend GBP1200 during my visit? Note: i earn 500k after deductions, self sponsored with a statement of about 6m and also have my own firm which is additional source of income BUT not a steady one.

2. I wish to stay for a week max (Is this safe or should i state 2 weeks instead) so it doesnt look false.

3. Will there be a conflict if i indicate that i am employed and self employed(own my own firm) at same time??

4. Will it make any difference to include a landed property and, my daughter as ties in my application? (Or will someone think i am trying too hard to prove ties?)

5. Do i need an invite from the UK or can I just apply as a tourist intending to stay in a hotel/hostel? Which will give more credibility to my application?

Your response will be HIGHLY appreciated as i am TOTALLY clueless about the decision process.

1200 is okay but it is more than your monthly income. I'd suggest you stay within your monthly net income which is around GBP1,000 at today's Oandas rate.

good day house, pls i want to make an enquiry.

I applied for settlement visa on march 10, 2020 and awaiting decision. uptill now have not seen any email for collection.

pls, should i go there or still wait for collection email?

thanks so much

I would make the inquiry by sending e-mail. Going there will amount to a waste of time. Let TLS confirm that your passport is ready for pick-up before going. I understand the feeling of waiting anxiously, sending a mail is the better option here. My thoughts.

Hello gurus in the house, submitted early September, got a mail 20th of Sep, trying not to panic, has anyone received such message and got approved? Below is the message:

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

please i need little help , i printed my statement of account today but i wont be able to submit tomorrow can i be able to use it on monday ? or i need to reprint tomorrow or monday morning ? someone told me i am supposed to print my statement a day to submission .

You can use it like that, it's only one day apart. However, if you want to be perfectionist, statement of account is not expensive, around 25 naira per page depending on the bank.

Hello Guys

Please I need someone to confirm the actual website for online visa application. Is it the visa4uk.fco.gov.uk or the gov.uk? Though I filled the form on the other website (.gov.uk) After I got the link on TLS website but my Naira debit card was declined. I am paying for 10 year renewal and I would like to know if they accept regular Naira debit card for payment. I have asked this question because on the visa4uk site, you are being directed to the new site for standard visitor's visa. Is it the actual site or I should use the visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. Appreciate any helpful response.

You may need to contact your bank as the amount you're trying to pay is most likely above your daily USD transaction limit. A pre-authorization of the transaction with you bank may help.
