izzou: 3 to 7 million for a one day event...I might be wrong. I agree, his average might be around that range, but I don't think getting 8 figure emcee gigs would be anything completely crazy for one of the top emcees in the country. Portable last fight with Carter Efe, he said he collected around 40M. To invite Portable come event, you fit dey hear around 1M or even more sef...these our celebs collect good money, na the lifestyle Dem dey live fit con make them still dey struggle. |

semid4lyfe: Hin sense of money dey confuse me
1. He said Frank earns eight figures for hosting events.
2. He also said there are schools on the Island that charge 10 - 45k per year.
How na? Theflint1, biko come and explain. 10K USD na about 14Million a year. Quite a number of schools dey Island wey dey collect that amount across a year (I'm talking those ones running British, French and American Curriculum). Charter House Lagos charges around that 45K yearly. |

izzou: 8 figures like 10,000,000 and above?
Odiegwu....
Impossicant I'm not sure when Frank and IK had this conversation, but I'm guessing it should be at least a decade ago. As at then Frank was charging 1.5M to emcee events. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:08pm On May 17 |
Lifestyle inflation is a real thing for these celebs.
Primary and secondary schools dey Island wey dem dey collect like 45K a year (the ones dem dey collect 10-15K too many sef), and I've seen quite a number of celebs that their kids attend these schools.
So while a guy like Frank could be pulling 6 figures in foreign currency yearly, the lifestyle he has his family living would have him struggling, same way a guy earning 500K a month and living above his means would struggle. |

No serious corporate organization will give Kiekie , AY, Rufus, Roby Ekpo, Rufai, Koffi, Reuben Abati, Seyilaw, Gordons or Dotun the kind of gig you would give Frank .
The only person that can rival Frank on ur List is Ebuka .
I’m telling u this because I was present at the event and I know what Frank delivered which none of those jokers on ur list can deliver . Would be surprised if he isn't getting 8 figures for events he hosts. |

raumdeuter: October last year. One uncle living abroad was talking to me about investing in housing and landed properties Nigeria
I gave him a 30mins mins lecture on how its an extremely stupid and braindead idea that shouldnt be entertained by supposed exposed and intelligent people
I broke it down into 5 categories Economic - Every money you send to Nigeria loses value Security - No need wasting talk on that Cultural - He started with our children wont know and connect to culture. I told him in 2026 Naija culture is all over every big city in the world. You left Naija decades ago. All your kids born abroad why will you base investment on the fact that kids who have zero connection to Naija will desire to live in a place alien to them,
All the political leaders in Nigeria ensure their kids live abroad or have dual citizenship whether its Tinubu Atiku or Obi to the level of senators. While you that your kids are abroad you want them to go in the other direction
And spent 5mins in each dishing out how stupid each point is.
I told him what's the distance from Kwara to Ogbomoso its a 30mins drive that time na Kwara news still full
He wanted to bring the racism angle into it that but in this abroad they are still racist... I asked him which one he will prefer a random oyinbo calling him nigga or Bandits flogging him in the bush
After that day I made it a point to spam his WhatsApp with activities of bandits around Kwara and he hasn't replied me since then. Yesterday I already sent him this news
I know people in Nigeria who wont travel out of Lagos for anything for security reasons E good as you advice am, the man go probably reason say na the way Nigeria dey pre-APC e take dey today. |

GloriousGbola: Right from time tinubu has had a thing for renaming. When he became governor he renamed multiple roads in Lagos state. It got to the point a cartoon mocked him for ' renaming keke marwa to keke tinubu' It's one thing to rename roads, and another thing entirely to replace a country's national anthem. What he did is akin to replacing the name Lagos with Lasgidi. |

GloriousGbola: You have said a lot without saying anything as expected.
If you think that is the way to run a campaign or a business good on you. Small wonder all you can do is hype on social media while knocking those who actually sacrificed their time and money for a cause they believed in
The least you can do as a decent human being is keep quiet, but since you have the obidient disease you are there dissing and insulting people who actually did more than cry and wail on nairaland. Your principal will continue as he has done, making donations to create the illusion of progress while neglecting the real hard work of building a party structure from the ground up.
Basically preparing ground for another empty noise making lawsuit. I donated 10 boreholes in a region where I have no party structure so therefore the election was stolen from me
Too lazy to put in the work, too defective in leadership to inspire, to weak in character to acknowledge sacrifice, but enough of a conman to beguile the simple minded.
Enjoy fellating your hero. It'd have been a lot easier to bring a list of persons he's owing. |

izzou: One of the misconceptions we make when comparing states with Lagos is that we use their capital as against Lagos.
When we look at Lagos, we look at the entire state .....(Ikeja, Eti-Osa, Alimosho, etc)
When we look at other states, we only look at the capital and one or two towns.
If you compare the entire state with Lagos, absolutely nothing dey there Exactly. There's no part of what constitutes Lagos that you won't feel government presence. Lagos is far ahead of most Nigerian states, but if other states are serious they can catch up and build much more livable and effective cities in even less than 20 years, that's assuming Lagos continues with its current style of governance. |

BlueRayDick: Are you really sure?
Attached is ChatGpt's result when I prompted for details of what Nigerian IG creators earn from meta for their contents posted on monetized account.
You sure say most of those content creators are not doing money laundry like GloriousGbola posited? I know FB, IG, Twitter and YouTube pays creators in Nigeria when their account is monetized. Only thing I can't say with certainty is how much it is per 1000 or 1M views. So while moetization payment might generally be poor across board, the top dawgs dem would be eating good. For a creator like VDM who arguably gets the most views per post on IG, I won't be surprised if he makes up to $10K each month. |

BlueRayDick: Are you sure about these figures you are mentioning and do the figures apply to naija creators as it applies to those in the US and other western countries?
I'm asking this because I learnt TikTok for example doesn't pay Nigerian creators unlike their US counterparts. So that's why you see most Nigerian creators begging for gifts during live shows and running adverts to make money off their creative efforts.
So I don't know if the figures you are calling for IG and YouTube also applies to naija creatives or you are just calling a generic figure. The figures sound too good to be true considering how Musical artists who enjoy high stream figures always complain that what music streaming platforms pay them per million streams isn't much to write home about. 1M views is a lot o, and those steaming platforms no get money reach these social media platforms, so there's that. I asked what payment was like for Nigerian creators. And music streaming Numbers is around $300-400 for 1 million streams from Nigeria. $200 for Nigerian content creators on IG doesn't sound too crazy. |

GloriousGbola: I don't follow naija content creators per se. But the people I follow always have a sponsor for their clip. So if a creator actually has those views and does not have sponsors I have to wonder.
That turtle neck guy is being sponsored by mtn
Some other dude was sponsored by Trarore.
What I am saying is I suspect some of them are doing money laundering packaged as content money
You will literally find click farms in China where phones are somehow set to view and like posts
We have heard same about davidos streams. Social media platforms pay creators who monetize their pages, and VDM's pages are monetized. Those guys you're referencing don't get close to VDMs type of views, definitely not on IG. |

BlueRayDick: How much do they pay per 1 million views?
Do those social media platform pay better than what music platforms like Apple music, Spotify, audio mack, etc pay artists for number of streams?
Like I want us to really put things into perspective. What those social media platforms pay, can it afford a creator to live large without rubbing advert gigs? In the month of April he had approximately 56.4M views on IG. Using $200 per 1M views, that'd come to like $11,280 from IG for the month of April. It most likely won't compute mathematically like that sha, and would likely be less, but I'm sure he makes some good sum from these social media platforms sha. With his views he by now should have made generational money if he was taking ads. Even our big pop stars no dey get views reach VDM...per post e go dey make like *20 wetin the likes of Instablog dey make. |

YouTube, Facebook and IG pays, TikTok doesn't. According to AI: Overall cross-platform average for typical creators: Roughly $500–$2,000 per million views, but this skews lower ($200–$1,000) for Nigeria-focused audiences and higher for those with strong Western viewership or premium niches (finance, tech). |

Understandable, though not sure how ethical this might be, especially given the people didn't give their monies to be invested in whatever it is he invested them in, and there's the possibility (however slight) that the money could be lost in the process of investing it.
