DissTroy: LOL Clown!
The defining moment for me was when TheFlint1 admitted he has no interest in contributing to societal development or righting anomalies beyond the direct concerns of his family members.
At that point, I knew I was dealing with unwilling armchair analysts who'd rather pile on pages complaining about everything wrong with society but withdraw to the rear when situations call for acting. I just knew we don't think the same. I'd rather act than talk. Doing something is better than doing nothing.
Now let me brag.
While you were hyperventilating about what Disstroy has been up to:
- He got awarded by his community for contributions which he had earlier stated in previous months.
- He got tasked with facilitating the registration of his community as an HCDT, heading the committee charged with doing so. He's begun the process.
- Earlier on in the month, he facilitated a workshop in related areas.
- By the end of this month, he'd be doing something similar.
- Same month, he got nominated into a 5-person committee to chronicle developmental strides in his community and beyond, shortlisting deserving persons who have facilitated development over the decades for official recognition and awards, and starting a fund which targets the indigent and spurring developments. Everything precipitates this November.
And in all that time he hasn't even bothered to check in on Nairaland (and barely tweeted even) while you've piled on 50(?) pages complaining about everything wrong with Nigeria.
You talk and complain, I act because I am tired of complaining. Only one of us in making a real difference and it's not you.
This is my joy. We don't think alike.
Now rant until when I remember to come on here, wasting away your time. You can keep living your illusion on Nairaland. I do my bit, just don't make it the focus of my every existence...for now my contribution to society is doing right by my loved ones. When leg don stand proper, I might extend myself. I'm not stealing public funds to be responsible to those I'm responsible for. Me demanding more from politicians responsible for our collective wealth is me performing a civic responsibility and if that alone is my contribution to society, it's something. |

It's obvious (as he has admitted) that Seun is not a regular user of Nairaland
What pictures or videos does Nairaland host that anyone will want to share externally? Nairaland is a text based site and simple copy of the URL is all that's needed if you want to copy a thread to a friend. Besides a key feature of Nairaland is anonymity which you lose by sharing posts
The owner of this site needs to open a burner account and use it regularly as a normal user ( not a mod) instead of abandoning it for Elon app. If he knew his user experience, I'm sure he will not make all these decisions we are seeing
Share externally ke, as if na video or picture Seun has been quite irresponsible in this regard, and the crazy thing is its something he shamelessly confesses to on Twitter |

The same number of clicks I'll use to copy the link of a post and share on Whatsapp, is the same I'll use if I click the Share button.
Who even told him we want to share any post on Telegram and Whatsapp?
Is that why we share on NL?[/color] I don't think it's a bad move, the share and like buttons seemed to overlap in function, and the ease of sharing posts outside Nairaland means people can introduce external traffic to the site a little more easily. |

raumdeuter: Nigerians were also migrating to every state including Anambra long before anyone was born. Now it got to Obis daughter she fled from the state her father governed because of insecurity And who told you there are no persons migrating to Anambra? Obi's daughter chose insecurity as her red flag, some other persons would choose quality of health facilities as reasons for migrating from Lagos (e.g Tinubu), and other's would cite traffic situation as reason for choosing other states outside of Lagos. Everybody with their respective reason for migration. |

TemporaryHansel: Great, so now you’ve downgraded your chef from 5-star to “he’s not 100%”—that’s the softest walk-back I’ve seen in a while.
Let’s break this down:
1. Tinubu lives and does business in Lagos? Congrats—so does half of Nigeria’s political class. You’re hyping geography like it's achievement. Meanwhile, the “Lagos he built” is so unreliable, he books flights for basic healthcare. That’s not governance. That’s escape.
2. So now we’re dragging Obi’s daughter into it? You said Tinubu’s not 100%, but want to disqualify Obi because his daughter isn’t based in Anambra? You're comparing a father’s personal health choices with a grown woman’s freedom to live where she wants?
3. Let’s talk insecurity. Tinubu ran Lagos for 8 years, and yet most of its residents still have to text “I’ve arrived” after every Uber ride. Your guy didn’t fix safety—he just sold PR. If Obi’s daughter avoiding Anambra is your disqualifier, then Tinubu flying abroad for his life should be your red flag.
4. You admit he’s not perfect but still defend him like a cultist. Let me help you out: you can support your fav without pretending he’s a demigod. But if you keep reaching like this, you’re just confirming what we already know—you’ve run out of points.
In short, your agenda is officially expired. Don’t spin it. Don’t sugarcoat it.
Your “chef” doesn’t trust his kitchen. Your “lion” hides in London and France. And your “victory” is built on excuses. Nigerian's were migrating to Lagos enmasse before Tinubu and would even after the man's no more in charge. I mean even Tinubu is essentially a migrant to Lagos. He likely has had no significant role in the migration pattern and residency choices of people that choose Lagos...simply a historical pattern playing out. |

TemporaryHansel: She’ll still vote for him again — Trust these people at your own peril. Nigerians dragged Buhari to hell and back during his first term, then turned around and handed him a second one. As if that wasn’t chaotic enough, they doubled down and elected Tinubu to continue the APC disaster. The only reason she's crying is the government didn't favor her the way it's favoring some of her colleagues in the movie industry. If she was among those with access to the center, she'd either have been doing her choppings quietly, or gaslighting people with audio achievements. Anybody that believed a candidate that couldn't articulate his plans for them (without it turning into some skit galore) had good plans in place was seriously deluded. There was no objective reason to vote Tinubu the first time, she'd most likely vote him again in 2027, or best case scenario she's at home election day. |

What is happening is ethnic cleansing, they believe Usman Dan Fodio gave them all the lands in the North, and inhabitants of those "christian enclaves" have to be replaced with their Fulani brothers from all around Africa. Olowunl01: Thanks for unilaterally moving me from being accused of being an Obidient to Tinubu fanboy, however my posting history on this board begs to differ.
So asking Alia to do what the likes of late Akeredolu did is now about protecting or supporting Tinubu for 2027?
If south west govs lead by Akeredolu could arm amotekun during bigot PMB regime? There's no excuse, haba you owe it to your people. The basis of what I said is littered in your post history on this issue, you can't be crying political machinations as reason for the attack, then say you don't care about the politics. You do, and that's okay. The battle father Alia is faced with is different from what other governors have had to deal with. Benue has historically been a hotspot for these sort of inter-tribal conflicts...the states you're drawing parallels with have no such history. And I can't for the life of me point to what a dunce like say Okphebolo is doing as regards security in Edo State (in fact he disbanded the state's vigilante) yet Edo State is relatively safe. Trying to make this issue simply one of an incompetent governor is far from the reality on ground...the issues the people of Benue face requires intervention from the arm of government that has control of police and armed forces funded by our collective wealth. |

We've had similar situations which other governors have managed to contain to some extent, If Alia is incapable let Tinubu declares SoE, cos it is an APC state nobody is gonna complain about Tinubu trying to hijack the state. Your suggestion that India has a culture of shoddy aircraft maintenance due to India being a third world country is disproven by the fact that such air crashes aren't common in India despite India being the world's third largest aviation market AND it is also the world's fastest growing aviation market. IG na just longer tiktok. How many times do you think they are debating indepth politics on Tiktok or IG?
Twitter yes they do
NL has been around for 20yrs but its mainly for Nigerians. Tiktok and IG forces you to open an account to even get a chance to view, that was what made many people like me even open accounts
NL you dont have to open an account yet get to consume the content
You will also agree that it takes some level of confidence to comment on some topics on NL. I know many people who read NL but do not comment because they cant keep up with gbasgbos or have deep knowledge of the topic
Its also easier to relate to the cheesy light hearted content of Tiktok an IG vs debating Tinubus budget Tiktok now allows for long-form videos...not sure how long sha, but I watch videos of over 5 mins there. |

diggz: N4billion must be a joke to you!
It’s not like they walked into your living room to steal your TV or made away with your iPhone.
These guys didn’t steal N100k, or N1 million, or even N100 million. They stole N4 billion—from a company that hasn’t even declared profit yet and is still drowning in over $2 billion in debt, not to mention what other investors have put in.
And you want to downplay that as just simple theft?
Bro, you seriously need prayers.😂😂 I asked a simple question, at what point did it go from being plain theft to becoming sabotage, and how did you arrive at that...no lamba. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 9:22pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
diggz: How would you know their intentions? Did any of them come to you to explain why they chose to steal N4 billion—or are you related to one of the people who took the money?
We all saw how Dangote was practically crying every day last year over the issues he had with NNPC. The man was also neck-deep in debt—dealing with what he owed Nigerian banks and other investors.
In the middle of all that, a group of people still had the audacity to steal N4 billion worth of product—while he was struggling to meet demand.
But somehow, you want us to believe it’s just theft and not sabotage?
If you’re the standard of what microbiology graduates produce, then honestly, maybe Odumeje has been right all along.
It’s honestly wild that, even with the help of ChatGPT, your brain still struggles to process the simple fact that stealing N4 billion from a company is sabotage.
Now tell me—those boys who vandalise pipelines, are they just stealing, or are they sabotaging the economy?
While ChatGPT is a useful tool, it shouldn’t replace our ability to think for ourselves.
Because of people like you, I’ve decided—no child of mine will waste my money studying organisms in university. I’m not about to sponsor anyone just to come out reasoning with half a brain. At what point did the money they stole cross from being plain theft to becoming sabotage, and how did you arrive at the number? |
