DeathParade: A Turkish company handles the maintenance of all Air India Boeing 787. So, even if investigation reveals maintenance issue to be the cause, it won't be because "India is a third world country" like you are suggesting.
Your suggestion that India has a culture of shoddy aircraft maintenance due to India being a third world country is disproven by the fact that such air crashes aren't common in India despite India being the world's third largest aviation market AND it is also the world's fastest growing aviation market. I saw a video online where someone that flew on the plane two hours before said the AC wasn't working (passengers had to resort to hand fans), and their in-flight entertainment screens were frozen. |

IG na just longer tiktok. How many times do you think they are debating indepth politics on Tiktok or IG?
Twitter yes they do
NL has been around for 20yrs but its mainly for Nigerians. Tiktok and IG forces you to open an account to even get a chance to view, that was what made many people like me even open accounts
NL you dont have to open an account yet get to consume the content
You will also agree that it takes some level of confidence to comment on some topics on NL. I know many people who read NL but do not comment because they cant keep up with gbasgbos or have deep knowledge of the topic
Its also easier to relate to the cheesy light hearted content of Tiktok an IG vs debating Tinubus budget Tiktok now allows for long-form videos...not sure how long sha, but I watch videos of over 5 mins there. |

diggz: N4billion must be a joke to you!
It’s not like they walked into your living room to steal your TV or made away with your iPhone.
These guys didn’t steal N100k, or N1 million, or even N100 million. They stole N4 billion—from a company that hasn’t even declared profit yet and is still drowning in over $2 billion in debt, not to mention what other investors have put in.
And you want to downplay that as just simple theft?
Bro, you seriously need prayers.😂😂 I asked a simple question, at what point did it go from being plain theft to becoming sabotage, and how did you arrive at that...no lamba. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 9:22pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
diggz: How would you know their intentions? Did any of them come to you to explain why they chose to steal N4 billion—or are you related to one of the people who took the money?
We all saw how Dangote was practically crying every day last year over the issues he had with NNPC. The man was also neck-deep in debt—dealing with what he owed Nigerian banks and other investors.
In the middle of all that, a group of people still had the audacity to steal N4 billion worth of product—while he was struggling to meet demand.
But somehow, you want us to believe it’s just theft and not sabotage?
If you’re the standard of what microbiology graduates produce, then honestly, maybe Odumeje has been right all along.
It’s honestly wild that, even with the help of ChatGPT, your brain still struggles to process the simple fact that stealing N4 billion from a company is sabotage.
Now tell me—those boys who vandalise pipelines, are they just stealing, or are they sabotaging the economy?
While ChatGPT is a useful tool, it shouldn’t replace our ability to think for ourselves.
Because of people like you, I’ve decided—no child of mine will waste my money studying organisms in university. I’m not about to sponsor anyone just to come out reasoning with half a brain. At what point did the money they stole cross from being plain theft to becoming sabotage, and how did you arrive at the number? |

diggz: TheFlint na my guy, but sometimes him dey go off point.
Take this for example: A few days ago, someone posted our padded budget, and almost everyone here was lamenting over it.
So, are we going to say the politicians are merely stealing—or are they actually sabotaging the progress of the nation?
Or let’s look at NITEL, NIPOST, Nigerian Railways, Nigerian Airways, and the rest. The people who diverted funds from those institutions—were they just stealing, or were they actively sabotaging the institutions and, by extension, the country? You still don't get it? We can hold our corrupt politicians responsible for any and everything, from murder, low litetracy rate, and even pre-mature ejaculation in the populace, and stretched that far we won't be wrong, but in a strict sense, na theft we fit hold them for, even a judge trying their cases won't hold them responsible for anything more than theft...bad as e bad, all things considered e go slam dem with the maximum allowable sentence for their crime. You've still not brought where you saw sabotage as a synonym for theft...when will you provide that? |

diggz: “By their fruits, we shall know them.” Or better yet, “by their reasoning, we shall know them.”
It’s not my fault that you spent your university years cramming the names of organisms without developing even a single atom of critical thinking or the ability to reason your way to a logical conclusion. That’s not on me.
In that same ChatGPT you consulted, it literally gave you an example of sabotage. For your sake, let me quote it verbatim:
“Vandalizing machinery to prevent production, planting malware in a system to disrupt operations, or intentionally breaking equipment to delay a project.”
Since you apparently can’t use the brain God gave you and need everything spoon-fed, I had to simplify it further using this:
“Stealing a company’s product—thereby preventing it from making a profit, threatening its sustainability, or stopping it from fulfilling orders to paying customers—doesn’t count as sabotage.”
Yet, here you are, still doing cho cho cho.
Instead of looking down on Odumeje, maybe you should take a moment to learn how he managed to get where he is today. ChatGPT won’t give you that answer, and clearly, you can’t process or apply any information it hasn’t already handed to you directly.
By the way, I assume you must have N4 billion just lying around in your living room—that’s probably why you’re struggling to comprehend how a group of people stealing N4 billion from a company that’s still indebted to Nigerian banks to the tune of over $2 billion amounts to sabotage. The difference between plain theft and deliberate sabotage is the intention behind each...how is this still difficult for your non-Microbiology brain to comprehend? You can aspire to be the butt of jokes and clownery, that's up to you...it's a hard pass for me though. |

But according to ChatGPTTheFlint1, stealing a company’s product—thereby preventing it from making a profit, threatening its sustainability, or stopping it from fulfilling orders to paying customers—doesn’t count as sabotage.
Sorry, are you one of those so-called STEM graduates who studied animal science, microbiology, and the like in university?

diggz: Is this from ChatGPT or the actual person behind this moniker? Because honestly, it’s embarrassing that you have the nerve to keep arguing against basic common sense in this case. Then again, you’ve done this at least three times on different occasions—so maybe it’s just a you thing.
What’s truly alarming is that you’d think a group of people stealing N4 billion from the only functional refinery in the country doesn’t amount to sabotage.
Now that you’ve used ChatGPT to understand the difference between theft and sabotage, why not also use it to explore the consequences of consistently stealing N4 billion from a company like Dangote Refinery? Ask about the impact on the Federal Government, the banks, the Dangote Group, their workers—and by extension, the entire country—since applying logic seems to be a challenge for you.
Just so you know, I’m starting to see Kimbeast in you. I make sure to always reference ChatGPT when they're primary source What it amounts to is different from what was intended. For the person stealing, their goal is to enrich themselves, that Dangote refinery is ultimately sabotaged is secondary. Their actions would ultimately have the same effect as say indians that slipped into the staff of Dangote to cripple the company from inside, with the goal of keeping Nigeria energy dependent, but their intentions are different. That difference in intention is what differentiates theft and deliberate sabotage. |

one incident i witnessed where a dubious guy overseeing a project guy was over eating on a project and the final outcome of his eating was an incident that cost his employer over 400 million and which they are still paying off to this day . rather than buy new tanks for a project - he connived with a vendor to supply old tanks. then the tanks leaked and polluted the whole environment.
so is that simple theft?
ignorance of the outcomes of your petty theft does not mean it is not sabotage Let's say the actions result in the loss of 10 lives, will it be a manslaughter or murder charge across those 10 lives? |

You really can’t argue with that kind of lack of logic, man. With one sabotage is the intention, and with another sabotage is a by-product of what's actually intended. |

Dockie lol. My initial post wasn’t even a trap—it was just an honest question I asked the guy. Clearly, he lifted his core argument straight from ChatGPT. At least now I understand a bit more about the person behind the post—someone who sees a group of people stealing N4 billion as just “theft” and not sabotage. Lol, more like my core argument was validated by ChatGPT, maybe because the distinction between both terms is that obvious. That you feel theft of that magnitude should qualify as sabotage is probably valid and I might even agree with you sef...but my point was on the objective difference between both, and that objective difference exists. |

I see that you’re trying to draw a distinction between private wealth and public wealth in another post you made, but I still don’t quite understand why you believe stealing from Dangote’s refinery wouldn’t be considered sabotage. The intention differentiates both. So while a thief would ALWAYS use the things they steal to enrich themselves, someone committing sabotage might not...they could even steal from Dangote and destroy the items they stole, they're more committed to subverting the man's business through the theft than they are to enriching themselves. I understand why one could descibe both as same, but strictly speaking, they're distinct enough. |

Let's stay objective. You brought up dictionary definitions.
N4B is almost half the 2023 IGR of Taraba. One crime ring stole that from one company. If this happened in the public sector, many Nigerians will draw parallels to Xi's anti-corruption purge and the harsh punishments.
Employees would steal from a company until the owner shutters the doors. But hey, at no point was it sabotage because staff were not stealing because they intended to obtain political or military advantage. -Lord Sabotage and stealing have different definitions for a reason...that there's some overlap between stealing and sabotage doesn't mean they're necessarily the same thing. |

LordAdam16: The point is not that the terms stealing and corruption are interchangeable.
It is that it is a distinction without a difference.
Stealing from a company, particularly when the sum is that high, sabotages the company's operations. Why split hairs about definitions when thievery in the private sector and thievery in the public sector have the exact same effect on the two entities (the company and the government respectively). Nigerians often react furiously to the latter while simultaneously hand-waving the former.
It is fair to highlight the inconsistency.
-Lord Fair enough, maybe there is some inconsistency in how people respond to both, but that's sort of another discussion...and it's possible the difference in reaction to both situations is that while one is "private" wealth, the other is public wealth. |
