I’m hoping you are just saying this for the likes and that you didn’t watch the video of Him kneeling on Floyd’s kneck - for at least 9 of the 9 9+ minutes of murder by kneeling
NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

This sentence is an overkill by the judge.
He is apparently trying to seem politically correct to the black community.

Considering that Derek was a Law enforcement officer who had sacrificed his time and skills to help keep Minneapolis safe, they should have just sentenced him to 2-years imprisonment considering that he never intended to kill Big George.

How in the world was Derek to know that the same guy who could fvck for over 30minutes straight in his porn videos could not withstand a few minutes' knee-hold.

Foreign Affairs › Re: President Cyril Ramaphosa's Ipad 'Stolen' On Live TV by TheGift: 9:56am On Jun 23, 2021
This is what South Africa has turned to, a place where TV reporter and crew are robbed of their phones and other stuff on live TV. The president cannot even trust people around Him, He was so sure I pad had been stolen. And so confused because without His written speech, He doesn't really have anything coherent or meaningful to say. Lol

I think they stole my iPad’: Ramaphosa puzzled as gadget goes Awol

President Cyril Ramaphosa briefly misplaced his iPad before making an important announcement. File photo.
President Cyril Ramaphosa briefly misplaced his iPad before making an important announcement.

Moments before delivering an important announcement in Cape Town on Tuesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is a stickler for time, had a moment of panic when he could not locate his iPad.

His announcement that the National Ports Authority was now an independent subsidiary of Transnet was briefly delayed because he was unable to find the device which contained his speech, bringing comic relief into the room.

After being introduced to the podium by acting presidency spokesperson Tyrone Seale, Ramaphosa said in jest: “I am looking for my iPad. Somebody stole my iPad.

“Somebody decided they want to dispossess me of my iPad, so I want that. Can I have my iPad please? They stole it.”

Ramaphosa, who looked genuinely puzzled, then said: “I had my iPad.”

Holding the microphone and looking sideways, he asked Seale: “Do you know where they took my iPad to?

“This is the problem of always handing your gadgets to other people. It is always best that I should keep all these things with me all the time.”

Looking at Seale, a seemingly confused Ramaphosa said: “I had my iPad. I had it in my hand. It’s gone. I have lost it, it seems.”

The president rarely deviates from his written speeches.

Seale asked Ramaphosa to take a seat while officials tried to locate the device.

Seale later reintroduced the guests and invited Ramaphosa back to the podium. With his iPad in hand, the president thanked guests for their patience and made his announcement.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Can I Be Employed As A Full Time Staff With A 3rd Class Degree? by TheGift: 9:22am On Jun 23, 2021
Your internal GP is what is most important. I know many 3rd class graduates who have risen to heights in their careers by virtue of what they can actually do. Focus on your strengths, downplay your weaknesses. Never mention your 3rd class except if/when asked. And come up with a solid reason why it doesn't matter. All the best.

I work with a one of the major company in the paint sector...
I have been working there as a contract staff for 3 years but now i applied for a vacant post in the same company for a full staff role....

My question is will I be considered for a full staff role even with a 3rd class?

I have done written interview and i passed
I have done one on one interview too but I'm expecting the reply....
I'm only scared if my 3rd class certificate will be considered....
And also....I am almost through with my post graduate degree

Pls advice

You've already said it. Linked in is a website for professional networking. Posting of wedding pictures began as younger people started coming on to the platform with their facebook, instagram and tiktok orientation.

p.S. The idea of linkedin is not for you to feel tension but to get inspiration and find motivation.

I've noticed over time that I'm a huge fan of graphic images. Anytime I see a post on nairaland where "graphic image" is, I rush to view it so I can see the graphic images. Romance › Re: What's Your Thought On Tall Girls Getting Married To Tall Guys? by TheGift: 10:45am On Jun 19, 2021
What makes their suggestion worrisome is that as in many other examples, they have moved beyond your love, compatibility and mutual companionship with one another to children that you have not even had , yet.
Mabella18:
It's not a new thing that whenever a girl is tall, she's told by people not to get married to a tall guy so that they don't birth overly tall children.

I'll take myself for example, I've had several encounters of such. The recent one was yesterday at my workplace, just walked in to get something and what lead to the discussion is what I don't know, I'm about 1.79m tall.....and they were like I shouldn't marry a tall man o, that we'll give birth to children that'll be too tall, that I should marry a short man and I was like what are these people saying ......my partner will either be the same height with me or a bit taller than me, you guys should allow me worry about my children biko.

Have you ever encountered this? Both as a lady/guy, What was your response?

Career › Re: Considering The Situation Of Nigeria, How Are You Coping Without A Job? by TheGift: 7:46pm On Jun 17, 2021
You need to first understand and agree that unemployment is first of all a choice. I had this mind set before I graduated from school and I have never really seen myself as unemployed. If i was not working full time somewhere I always had a skill that I was using to generate income.

Even if you get or have a stable source of income now, you still need to think of other options, as job security is low and food insecurity and inflation are on the high side.
Leece:
Reminiscing, after a couple of years, i finally understand the grievances of millions of the unemployed. i mean one can literally feel the sting as soon as you are thrusted into the cold waters of reality after service.

Some people advocated saving allowee for the rainy days. Without mincing words, having obligations and being the sole facilitator of your well-being comes at a price of never having the privilege of having your money to yourself.

So then, what do you do? you graduated with the right honors and somewhat deemed intelligent but the course you seem to be charting has no longitude & latitude.

It is easy to be poetic about joblessness and talk about the mess we are in with the present Nigeria while some wallow in depression, constantly doubting their ability.

Prices have doubled, Food is for the rich.

it is as bad as it gets, is your faith waning or you remain staunch in your faith of a bright future? How do you pay bills?

How do you cope with the depression and seeing friends well on their way to that which you covet yourself?

Do you feel things or its just me, myself and my thoughts.

share your thoughts...........
