Kingosytex:Who decides what is sane and what is not? There are some things in your own culture that would be considered insane by another. Culture is dynamic and constantly evolving; one culture's sanity is another culture's insanity |
HacheNoire:Few? I don't think so. And even if, how does that affect the facts and issues on ground? Leave it for the tribunal, you say, exactly ! Yet that is exact the opposite of what you were suggesting, i.e they should accept defeat... Make up your mind son. |
simplesearch:It seems you have not heard of a word called "Nepotism" It refers to the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives, friends, or associates, especially by giving them jobs. But our brains and values have been so bastardized by impunity and mediocrity that we think it is ok. Na wa! |
HacheNoire:Its not easy to get over a fake defeat. e.g. when you are defeated by a cheat. |
TheRareGem1:Why not fix it before announcing full removal of Subsidy? Unserious people. |
Dialpad:Meaning, you did not read before commenting |
fabolouz1:With Remi Tinubu as the actual President? |
peekspot:I told you guys we will be seeing a lot of official portraits rather than actual pictures of Tinubu going forward. And, for now? no one can tell me that Remi is not in that room as well. |
kekakuz:If you can listen to Her without judging, but with love and understanding, then I think you will be fine. Not judging also includes not jumping to conclusions like reincarnation. Just take it as it is. And leave it at that. Get back to us when she is like seven. |
Maxwell4404:Foolish Mob. Some Of the most stupid are students, who protest "high school fees by burning the school library. |
Jostoman:Oh please, did you not read that one of their own was extra judicially killed by the police in that zone? Is such a community reaction so strange to you, in Nigeria? |
... |
chisomkachy:He tried, considering his ailing health and age., but it was still painful to watch Him struggle through that. I know that after today, we will hardly hear Tinubu talking again. Let's hope there will be action though and He will be kept alive until the next transition to power whether in a few months or years. |
ComptonGee:What makes you think it is hate? Why not see it as love , love for justice, that is not only done but is seen to be done. |
Reference:This is a logical and valid perspective, well said. |
yinkus6750:Going to court it not just about winning a case, it is also about keeping judicially verified records as well as ensure proper interpretations and lay sound precedents for posterity. For example, the courts can help us end the debate on if a candidate must win 2/3 in FCT or not. We can't really build a just society on injustice and a shaky moral foundation. But if Nigerians like me sincerely prayed and believe that God has answered , then I accept that God can use anything or anyone to achieve his purposes. |
Sorry bro. Thanks for taking responsibility for the child. |
aspabay:I don't understand ooo. It's like She wants the one that will be paid directly into Her account. |
okpas01:It is an ironic scam! |
nlfpmod:What other benefits ; in addition to the benefits that accrue to former presidents of which She and Her children also benefit? This Woman is so clueless she should do and go with Her husband. |
Britishpea:Trump had no logical reason to claim the elections were rigged, It was always His strategy if He lost. In the case of Hilary Clinton, everyone knew she won the popular vote, but she lost due to the electoral college votes, there was no rigging, just politicking. Coming back home to Nigeria, there has always been rigging, whether directly by the candidates or by their sponsors, as in the case of Yar Adura who admitted that the elections which brought Him to power were not free and fair. What makes the 2022 elections different from all the others was: 1. Many Nigerians got their voters card and came out to vote because they believed that for once, their votes will count due to the transparency that electronic voting/ transmission will bring and the assurance from INEC that it will be so, only to do the exact opposite. 2. The fact that INEC rushed to announce the results in the dead of night when there were reseaonable grievances on the table 3. The fact that INEC which is supposed to be an independent Neutral umpire is now acting as a partisan party in support of a particular candidate 4. The fact that the Person who was announced as winner didn't win in The key capital cities of Nigeria, including the state He governed and His original home state. 5. The fact that we currently have a youth population of 70% most of whom are unemployed , hungry, angry and disillusioned by this country , they are exposed to information and global standards so they know that what we have here in the name of Democracy and Justice is a joke. They really hoped that something different would happen and are now even more disillusioned. What all of the above point to is the fact that , unlike in other elections where justice was not done but it seemed to be done, in this case justice was not only NOT done but justice has als NOT been seen to be done. To honest and well meaning Nigerians to just accept it like that, is like telling someone who was raped to just forget about it and accept a marriage with their rapist. It means you expect us to stay stuck in toxicity and mediocrity . |
God1000:Was there ever any euphoria? |
nlfpmod:Square peg in a round hole. No wonder Nigerian University students spent endless months at home. |
saintbillion:While believers in Christ are not expressly forbidden from polygamy. Church leaders expressly are. 1 Tim 3:2 "Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach" |
Racoon:Sorry but your best was no where near good enough. |
You need to find a way to communicate this with your wife, without complaining. Just as a fact of your relationship, your expectations versus reality. Then ask Her what she wants feom you and if She is wants to make the relationship work. You will find your answer in Her answer. I wish you all the very best. |
iammo:The solution to what? a peaceful mentally healthy life where you are free to live out your God given talent without someone feeling the need to control you? Or the solution to maintaining the perception of a union where the two are not anywhere close to being one? Marriage is not meant to be perfect? Is that supposed to be an excuse for destructive behaviors that only harm And do not help anyone? What are your standards for a good marriage? Like seriously. Some of us accept mediocrity in marriage because we don't have any really purposeful or transcendent meaning behind it. We are just fulfilling societal expectations or getting moved by flimsy emotions. That is where the problems begin. |

StudyBarn:Did I tell you that I am from Ukraine? Just stating the facts. It's nothing personal or sentimental. Overall though, I still believe it is better to risk death for freedom than to embrace life as slaves to one Man's whims and caprices. As they say: He who fights and runs away , lives to fight another day. And even when alive a coward dies a thousand deaths.? The Ukrainians chose the part of bravery and dignity rather than cowardice and ignominy. Putin the paranoid tyrant , on the other hand, has lost His global leader legacy and will surely go down in infamy. However this War ends. |
That is what they said 15 months ago. Some EU leaders even predicted Ukraine will not hold for 72 hours at the start of the invasion. But 15 months Don Waka, we still dey carry go. That song actually just started playing, as I typed thIs. LOL |
fergie001:Better, because in my book you are competing for the most Rubber Stamping, certainly most uncharismatic and lack luster Senate Presidents. May we never see anything like you in that position again. |
