Leke Adeboye is the real GOAT, mainly because there is no biblical basis for that statement. I dare Him to show me just one scripture that supports such an egotistic statement.

This is how I get my rice colored like and tasting like fried rice in 4 easy steps

1. Pre- parboil the rice for like 5 minutes in hot water to get out the starch

2. Parboil with Fresh green peas and a mix of blended green bell pepper (the big ones) , fresh “black” pepper , (i.e like the regular small red pepper but the green ones) with some curry in chicken stock. This will give it the fried rice color , even before you fry the rice. By this time the rice is 80% cooked.

3. In the following order , in vegetable oil, fry a mix of onions, diced liver, carrots, green beans, green pepper, spring onions (all diced) and some sweet corn, seasoned with salt, knorr chicken cubes, thyme (or rosemary leaves) and some extra curry.

4. Stir fry (not boil ) the parboiled (almost cooked) rice into the mix until everything is evenly mixed- on low heat (That’s why it’s called fried rice, and this is way it lasts longer). Do this for about 5-10 minutes until you are satisfied with the outcome.

You cannot have expectations of parents living in a system as damaging as what we see in Nigeria.

There is no proper maternity leave in Nigeria. In Germany, they give 12-month maternity leaves, in China, they are set to give same.

Labour laws and general laws favour some of these things. In Nigeria, such things are not even considered.

The problem here is the country, the people are just victims of a messed up system

If the system doesn’t work then take full responsibility for your child’s education and development. They don’t have to go to school because everyone else is going to school.

I know many kids that were fully or partially home schooled and they are doing very well as older teenagers and adults.

I went to enrol my son at a toddler community. They said they resume at 8. I told them that is about the time He wakes up, so I was thinking of Him coming at 10am, it’s just 2 buildings from my house. They say there are some learning activities they do together at 8. I told them my son getting His full sleep was more important to me, they should let me know what they are learning from 8-10am and I will find a way to get him to learn it. At least until I can reorganize His bed time to a much earlier time.

There are cheaper and less stressful ways around these things if we think outside the box.

Norway has achieved a remarkable educational system. Adult literacy exceeds 99 percent, and school expectancy for a five-year-old in Norway was 17.7 years in 1998, one of the highest school expectancy rates of any country.

Yet their children don’t start any form of formal education until 6 years old. Before then, all they do is play well, eat well and sleep well. That is how children develop.

In Lagos 2 year old children are waking up at 4:30am to join their parents on a long ride to school. How will they develop? Sad.

First things first, your child does not have a problem. He is not different from many His age, just like your mum implied.,

Stop trying to force fit him into a box. Especially the box of education. The school system is not perfect for every child.

Parents need to take charge of their children’s development.

If He acts up when the light is flickering then there might be a condition. This is why it would be good for Him to get medically checked. That your wife doesn’t want it, is not enough reason to not get Him checked.

As per His not being focused , except for things like His PS5. You can make doing the things He likes a reward for doing the things He doesn’t like. E.g “if you participate in football practice this morning , you can play PS5 in the evening”

You need to be careful not to give in to His every whim. Children need discipline. The trick is to not do it from a place of frustration and anger, but with grace and hope.

I was awake for hours last night trying to figure out what the married enjoys that the single people do not.

I couldn't come up with anything logical or cogent points at all.

I now understand the reason why a lot of persons have chosen to stay single for as long as possible without plans of getting married.

It only makes sense when you find the right one. It will feel like coming home. The difference between a Wife and baby mama is the avowed commitments. But this generations no longer values vows and commitment.

The purpose of marriage is companionship. As you grow older you will understand the value of a committed companionship with someone who gets you, who you get. Who accepts you as you are, and as you do them. It is possible to achieve this without marriage, but how seriously will it be taken, if it has not been declared before Men & God ( assuming one believes in God)?

I would like to know what time you usually turn on and off your Generator set during this massive heat and fuel scarcity period, mine is turned on around 9 p.m and switched off by 12:00 p.m on the dot.

If there is no light at all:

On week days it comes on at 8am. Rests for one hour at 7pm (during this time I use rechargeable fans and lamps.) Re-starts at 8pm and runs till about 6am, to start at 8am and repeat the cycle again.

On weekends, I put it on as needed during the day, otherwise rechargeable fans, power bank & ups. But it comes up at 6pm till 6am.

Note all of this is for when there is no light at all.

I switch between diesel and petrol gen, depending on load requirements. My 10 kva petrol gen can carry between 5-6 inverter ACs with fridge , freezer, water dispenser, water pumping machine and microwave oven.

I am working on getting solar inverters.
