If it’s “pay”, Are you paying for Her loyalty?

If it’s “give”, why is it paining you?

If you can answer these questions , I will take my time to respond to your post.

What's all these obsession about the Russian-Ukraine war?
We have alot to bring to light in this country like kidnapping, banditry and other social vices....
Let's stop this inferiority complex and focus on our country.
It is for the sake of our country we should be concerned about this war. It is already affecting us. And we need to strategize around it without neglecting our other problems.

Klass99:
I really hope this happens. I have imagined all sorts of scenarios in my head towards Putin, like assassination, mutiny and nothing good.

It has been painful to watch international news on Al Jazeera, BBC & CNN because of this war. It is the only thing dominating the news and the footage from Ukraine, fleeing refugees, hospitalized Ukrainians etc makes me grateful for Nigeria even if some people think it is a shit hole.

Is there a reason why other nations have stood by and abstained from joining forces with Ukraine to fight the Russians? Like they did during Hitler's era and the holocaust? I just don't understand, someone should pls enlighten me on this.

Wouldn't it have been easier or better to band together and repel the mad man in Russia? Not through sanctions alone, but sending forces to support Ukraine long before the invasion.
As per “
Is there a reason why other nations have stood by and abstained from joining forces with Ukraine to fight the Russians? ”

Other nations are standing by Ukraine by supplying them with defensive (note: not offensive) weaponry

As per “ Wouldn't it have been easier or better to band together and repel the mad man in Russia?”

Even if it is better it will certainly not be easier.

That they are not repelling Putin in the way you are proposing doesn’t mean they are not banded together.

It is best for all that the west don’t get directly involved . For the same reason they are sending defensive (not offensive) weapons. Putin is looking for a reason to say the West is warring against Him. They are not going to make it easy for Him to do that.

At this rate, the people who will take down Putin are His own people.

“3/ At the same time, sanctions are taking effect and can change public opinion in Russia. It can lead to protests, destabilisation, and regime change. Sanctions also lead to international isolation. The last allies of Russia - India and China - will leave Russia.”

This is exactly what I have been telling those who care to listen. It is clear that Putin miscalculated and He is being publicly humiliated and if He continues , will become the most hated, not only by the world but by His own people.

They were both in the same university, the same level and the same class.
This guy happened to be in a relationship with someone else, but when he set his eyes on this other bae, he gave up the relationship and started dating this new girl.

Everything seems to be moving really fast they were already in final year in school, they seem to be in love with each other, she really wanted to be engaged in her final year, you know how it feels when you graduate with a husband and a certificate that was her goal.

Oh boy watsaap. ... this dude wasn't making any move towards engagement because he likes to do things on his terms, he felt he wasn't ready for that sort of commitment.

Months rolled by, and nothing happened except the usual hangout, chit chat, partying, so she got an idea to get pregnant for this dude which she did. Little did she know that that was her undoing because he was already making plans to leave the country which he did two months into her pregnancy to get his master's.

What can she do.

Career › Re: Wife's Phone Searched & All Contacts Deleted By Her Boss, Can I Sue Or Not? by TheGift: 12:09am On Mar 07, 2022
If you can Sue , it will most likely be based on the principle of “Unity of Spouses “. And that will only apply if you guys got married under Common Law, ( Court wedding).

If you have only done traditional marriage, (native law and custom) , then it would depend on whether the action is contrary and repugnant to natural law and justice.

White wedding is a Christian thing , with no real basis in Common Law, so no real grounds for suing.

Health › Re: Please Help! I Forget Things Easily, Do I Have A Medical Condition? by TheGift: 3:38pm On Mar 04, 2022
Wow! This is major.

First of all, sorry for your experience.

Several medical conditions could cause forgetfulness, the worst of which is Alzheimer’s disease.

Forgetfulness can arise from stress, depression, lack of sleep or thyroid problems. Other causes include side effects from certain medicines, an unhealthy diet or not having enough fluids in your body (dehydration). Taking care of these underlying causes may help resolve your memory problems.

It is interesting that you have a high cgpa, that may also be a factor in that you are so focused and giving your best to one thing that you are forgetting other things.

Albert Einstein's memory was notoriously poor. He was unable to remember dates and could not remember his own phone number. As a student, one of his teachers claimed that he had a memory like a sieve. So you are in good company. (Autistic folks and Savants have similar tendencies.)

Now what can you do to help it:

1. Continue keeping a diary as you have started doing

2. 1. Include physical activity in your daily routine

Physical activity increases blood flow to your whole body, including your brain. This might help keep your memory sharp.

2. Stay mentally active

Just as physical activity helps keep your body in shape, mentally stimulating activities help keep your brain in shape — and might keep memory loss at bay. Do crossword puzzles. Play bridge. Take alternate routes when driving. Learn to play a musical instrument. Volunteer at a local school or community organization.

3. Socialize regularly

Social interaction helps ward off depression and stress, both of which can contribute to memory loss. Look for opportunities to get together with loved ones, friends and others — especially if you live alone.

4. Get organized

You're more likely to forget things if your home is cluttered and your notes are in disarray. Jot down tasks, appointments and other events in a special notebook, calendar or electronic planner. I guess you are already doing some of these.

You might even repeat each entry out loud as you jot it down to help cement it in your memory. Keep to-do lists current and check off items you've completed. Set aside a place for your wallet, keys, glasses and other essentials.

Limit distractions and don't do too many things at once. If you focus on the information that you're trying to retain, you're more likely to recall it later. It might also help to connect what you're trying to retain to a favorite song or another familiar concept.

5. Sleep well

Sleep plays an important role in helping you consolidate your memories, so you can recall them down the road. Make getting enough sleep a priority. Most adults need seven to nine hours of sleep a day.

6. Eat a healthy diet

A healthy diet might be as good for your brain as it is for your heart. Eat fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Choose low-fat protein sources, such as fish, beans and skinless poultry. What you drink counts, too. Too much alcohol can lead to confusion and memory loss. So can drug use.

7. Speak to your Doctor to Manage chronic conditions

Follow your doctor's treatment recommendations for medical conditions, such as depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity and hearing loss. The better you take care of yourself, the better your memory is likely to be. In addition, if you are on meds, review your them with your doctor regularly. Various medications can affect memory.

8. Last but not least , learn to meditate and become a more conscious being, that way you can learn to transcend the limits of your mind and “remember” things which you never even knew before.

Wishing you the very best.

Respect yourself and people will respect you.

A 100 sheep led by a lion will do more than a 100 lions led by a sheep.

Toughness begins in the mind.

Stop whining about how wicked people are and focus on dealing with the wickedness in your own soul.

Being strong is not about aggressive physicality.

The Christ said , be gentle as doves but wise as serpents” I.e. Be soft in your heart and tough in your mind.

May God help you and guide you to a Woman who understands you.

Did the whole world come for anyone when Gaddafi died

Did thousands of US soldiers not die in Viet Nam Iraq or Afghanistan?

It is not impossible to invade another country without paying a price.

I continue to advocate objectivity as a Nigerian . I am not a Putin apologist. I just do not see that the West have the moral authority to criticize him because they do a lot worse. So do not ask me to be a spokesman for Putin.
And why would you think this is personal for me?

And why do you think I am not advocating objectivity here? What was not objective about what I said?

I am not speaking based on the morality of Russia’s actions but on the reality of the outcomes, which we are all seeing.

I hope this has not become personal for you.

Ukraine cannot survive it .
Not even with the help of the embedded CIA and NATO forces already in Ukraine
They will be overwhelmed

That is the bitter truth

It is now a question of what the civilian toll will be
No doubt Russia will pay a price but I am sure they have included that in their calculus

They lost 24 million men in WW II

MORE than Germany , Europe and the US combined. So losing men is part of their psychology

Many Russian forces speak Ukraine and they too are likely to be on ground as sleeper cells .

If as expected today's talks yield nothing I do not expect Zelensky to remain in Kiev for another week
He cannot survive
“ No doubt Russia will pay a price but I am sure they have included that in their calculus”

Were you saying that Russia will pay a price at the beginning of the invasion or did you think Russia will completely over run them? Say the truth.
Also , did you not read that even high ranking officials were not fully aware of Putin’s plan, and you say they have included loss of Russian lives on their calculus?

Can you not tell that Putin is deluded by His weaponry and Megalomania fuelled by His Stalinist views of Russia’s role in the new global order.

Even Russians are without fear protesting their country’s war in Ukraine. Do you know more than them about what is at stake?

Even if , and especially if, Zelensky is killed , will not translate to a victory for Russia. Infact, it Putin still has some sense, He should ensure Zelensky doesn’t die, otherwise, the whole world will come for Him.

Right now , Zelensky is seen as a hero while Putin is viewed by most as being a tyrannical bully.

Mark my words, even if Russia survives this, Putin will not survive this irrational and largely unpopular action.
