I have noticed men especially African men loose interest when a lady becomes interested in them even just a bit. I really don’t get it.

Do men expect women to hate them even when the men love the women? Cos I don’t understand if it should be mutual or not

Politics / Re: Nigeria To Repay IMF $3.4bn In 5 Years by thegloor: 9:21pm On May 01, 2020

Please borrow more Buhari and complete Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan-Ilorin-Kano Railway and the 2nd Niger Bridge which Goatluck Jonaddaft commissioned on the drawing board and name it Muhammadu Buhari 2nd Niger Bridge. Also start the Lagos-Calabar Eastern Corridor Railway.

When the next looter comes in as President, he will be paying the loans and there will be little to loot while Nigerians will be enjoying the infrastructure built with the loans.

It's good to dream

The only way to generate more cash flow and increase employment is to place ban on the 41 items. Which the Nigerian economy as done. And it's yielding effects on rice production already. Imf policy to remove those ban will only cause a ripple effect on what the Nigerian economy is trying to grow. Yes we need forex. But the only way is by generating more goods for export in which we have a superlative advantage.
For now, it's the oil.. But we have the population and population is power.
I advise the government to copy from China. We need a micro economy country where the power of the economy is on the small scale businesses.
The only way is by banks granting loans to small business owners. The cbn needs to check some of its monentry policies. And pull down the rigged method of borrowing money from the bank

They would rather copy China's law that chains people

Didn't you see the resistance by the populace to ordinary local rice production?

Is it the same set of retards you expect to embrace even more technologically savvy processes?

Romance / Re: A Male Friend Stopped Talking To Me Because I Have A Boyfriend by thegloor: 10:00pm On Apr 30, 2020
Suzzi23:
Hi guys. Please I need advice.

There is this guy in my department. Let's call him Joe. He is good looking and very intelligent. He also has this very nice voice and good vocabulary. Initially we were just normal casual classmates, we greet, exchange notes and all that, nothing serious. I've always found him attractive but have not found him special in any way because I've met lots of guys like him in my University.

But few months ago he started becoming more friendly towards me. We got talking and we realized we shared a lot in common. He asked me if I was single and I told him I was. This was the truth because I wasn't dating anyone then.

Few days after another guy I was very close to asked me to be his girlfriend and I agreed. I'm in love with this guy. He is very jovial, intelligent and he knows how to treat me well. I know he loves me because I've known him for a while and he has treated me with love, affection and respect. It's always fun being around him and I enjoy his company.

Despite now being in a relationship, I still continued spending time with Joe. We shared a lot of deep intimate info about ourselves with each other. I have never felt more comfortable talking to someone before. Talking to him always made me feel good. I felt I could be vulnerable with him. He was very honest and didn't hide the dark aspects of himself. He wasn't the type to pretend he was a good person. And he wasn't. He had done a lot of bad things in the past and he wasn't afraid to talk to me about them. And although this might sound weird I liked the fact that he wasn't the typical "moral individual" I was used to meeting. I liked the fact that he had a dark personality that only me knew about. He said things to me that made me begin to explore myself and my sexuality in ways I didn't even imagine that I could. He was always fond of teasing me and never hesitated to correct me if I did anything wrong. I loved that kind of honesty.

As we talked more Joe opened up to me that he was attracted to me and had feelings for me. He would flirt with me and I'd try my best not to flirt back but I enjoyed his flirting and I enjoyed his company. He asked me if I felt the same way about him and I was honest and I said I had feelings for him, because I did. He is an attractive guy and even though I have a boyfriend I can't help being attracted to him..

He then asked me to be his girlfriend and I told him I was already dating someone. He was surprised by my response. He told me he was under the impression that I was single and that's why he had gotten so close and intimate with me. But he didn't appear angry or sad. He even told me my bf was lucky to have me.

The problem now is that since that day he hasn't talked to me. When I see him in class, he doesn't even act like I exist. He doesn't reply my messages, doesn't pick up my calls and doesn't check up on me. Throughout this lockdown he hasn't even texted me once. This is unlike him. I feel very bad about the whole thing. It's almost like our relationship didn't mean anything to him and I didn't mean anything to him. I want to still be friends with him.

My type of guy.
I like him

He don start.

The curfew might be necessary to clean and disinfect general places before the next day.

Everything is not about human right, common sense can prevail at times.

Not all businesses would be allowed to open yet.

I am sure Government workers and schools are still closed. The time is also 9 - 6 meaning that no office will expect u to get to the office before 9.

In the speech, Buhari also made it clear that each state will handle their peculiar issues accordingly.

Cut him some slack. At least he did not advise citizens to drink disinfectants like the most powerful man in the world did. (Yes, plenty morons drank it in USA)

What useless economy is the lawyer talking about ? An economy that is practically 100% dependent on oil price will not listen to English or Law terminologies. Even better prepared countries are technically in recession. There is no miracle anybody can perform on Nigeria economy right now.

Things are not yet normal and should be seen that way for now.

How many places have you seen them disinfect?

I think it is time to hand over the NCDC to someone who can scale the organization to the size required to eradicate a fast-moving virus from a country with 190m residents. We are tired of listening to excuses as we waste away at home. Hand it over to someone who has experience with running a very large organization. I don’t even care if the person is an epidemiologist at this point. Just someone who can grasp the scope of the challenge and is willing and able to obtain and effectively utilize the massive resources needed to tackle it.

They will soon declare another extension

The thing is, a vaccine is useless against the disease.

An outright cure or dampening of the effects of the virus is what we need.

Before that can be achieved, no matter how much you lockdown, the virus will take a very very long time to run it's course.

At this point, I propose we go the way of Sweden albeit some interesting modifications.

What did they do?

You got wrong. Science and technology, as much as they have tried, are yet to find all solution to man's need, including your so called knowledge based economy.
But God still remains the ultimate power and source of all wisdom and knowledge, which he in bestows to men including the pastors.

Domdva

I don't know why people like you, love to take a swipe at the pastors, when they have not been given opportunity to demonstrates their God given power over Covid 19.
Pastors were asked to close down their churches, those who dare to open them are, harassed, arrested, taken to courts and are fined. So why blame and castigate them?
By the way, are there not medical conditions, that are beyond science, technology medication, that God by these lampooned pastors have healed in the past?

Did they stop the pastors from going to the isolation centres to pray?

very few people know that Nigeria is a poor country. Infact we are so poor that a drastic drop in oil price will affect everything that happens.
Being poor,we are also bedeviled with corrupt leaders who loot away the little money we make selling crude.
Even if corruption is eliminated, Nigeria will still remain poor if all we do is dig up crude and sell to get dollars.this is not how a proper country is run.
Nigeria at this moment cannot even afford to give every of it's citizens 100k for parliative.

Canada's budget this year is $355 billion for 24 million people.

Nigeria's budget this year is $26 billion for 200 million people.

And you expect Nigeria to give palliative of N626000 naira per person or per family?

Nigeria is a mess, but we are not up to Canada's level. Vote for governments who would make us an industrial nation, then we can talk.

To all those people cursing Nigeria up-thread...yes, we have had corrupt governments. But there is no way our government can afford to give stimulus of N626,000 naira to everyone. Not on our budget, without taking even more mega loans.

Modified

Even giving 100million Nigerians N50000 each a month would involve spending the equivalent of our budget for the year in one month.($26 Billion)

BUT less than 500 people are taking more than 600k for hardship, wardrobe and other allowance?
