Religion / Miracles Abound Amongst Us On Earth. by TheLight2: 8:39pm On Jan 14, 2010
MIRACLES ABOUND AMONGST US ON EARTH.

In this life that we live in, certain events and occurrences are yet to be completely appreciated and comprehended. For example, it is common knowledge that a woman is expected to carry her pregnancy for a period of 9 months, after which delivery of the baby is expected. Nevertheless, there are recorded cases of women who require as much as 1 to 3 years before the delivery of their baby. When the previous occurs, it is regarded as a model; on the contrary, when the latter occurs, it is regarded as out of the ordinary.

Uncommon events are sometimes regarded as miracles. Miracles and their realism have been debated among religious and philosophical scholars. While some believe and uphold its presence, others frown at the claims that it exists, describing it as a mere plot to coax people into believing the doctrine of a particular religion. Interestingly, there are several recorded happenings which suggest that miracles abound amongst us on earth and it is indeed a reality. One of such is the case of Mrs. Okorie Esther.

At 43, Mrs. Okorie Esther from Anambra state, East of Nigeria was diagnosed of Mal-united tibia, plateau fractures and fracture of the left ankle. Her mobility was aided by the use of a set of crutches, which she ensured was always her companion, in order to move around, albeit so much in serious pains and discomfort. She had been booked for a total knee replacement. The doctors had advised that she should reject the only option that could ensure that she would walk again as a normal person. The advice from the medical doctors was necessitated by the fact that, at 43, she was too young to undergo that kind of procedure, and this could result in total loss of the use of her legs and their functions.

In an attempt to recover the use of her legs, Mrs Okorie had resorted to herbalists, who milked her of her money, guaranteeing eventual success. When she realized that this was yielding no tangible result, she decided to turn to God for a miracle. With the numerous miraculous healings that she had read about and saw on Emmanuel TV, she decided that her next and final port of call was The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, where she believed that with a touch from Prophet TB Joshua, she would be declared free from her terrible condition.
Like they say, let us hear from the horse’s mouth:

“My name is Mrs. Okorie Esther, I am 43 years old, from Anambra state but I reside in Abuja. I was a volunteer manager for the recently concluded FIFA U-17 world cup, Nigeria 2009. What brought me to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations is Mal-united tibia, plateau fractures and fracture of the left ankle. I cannot walk alone with my legs so I have to use crutches wherever I want to go. Just before the games, I slipped and fractured the distal of my ankle, both the tibia and the fibular. Prior to this, two years ago, precisely January 13th, after I was involved in a car crash and I was diagnosed of fracture of the tibia, and this very fracture before the games had caused a mal-united fracture of my tibia and I have been referred to Artemis Health institute, India, for a total knee replacement but the doctors there have warned me that the procedure is not ideal for a person of my age. They said that I am too young for the procedure and that it could result in a total collapse of the functions of my legs.”

Continuing she said: “I have gone to many hospitals and the condition has not improved. I have even visited different herbalists, but all to no avail. I remembered that I once saw how people were healed on Emmanuel TV; I have also read testimonies of people that were healed by God through Prophet TB Joshua. I then decided that this was the final destination for me to receive my healing. I have come from Abuja because I believe that God can use the man of God TB Joshua to heal me”.
Interestingly, before praying for her, Prophet TB Joshua turned to the large number of worshippers inside the church auditorium and asked a question. He asked: “Do we have anyone here that believes that God cannot use him or her to perform miracle at all? You believe that God cannot use you, you believe that there is no miracle, you find it difficult to believe that there is miracle – stand up”.

“I find it hard to believe that there are miracles. I don’t believe it because I cannot understand how it works” screamed a young man, who jumped out of the crowd with enthusiasm. “My name is Obachide Ani, a Nigerian based in South Africa and although I have been a Christian for a very long time, I am yet to believe in miracles because I don’t understand how it happens. That is why I find it hard to believe it,” he said.
The following conversation ensued between Prophet TB Joshua and Mr. Ani:
Prophet TB Joshua: What do you understand is her problem?
Mr. Obachide Ani: It’s worse, man of God.
Prophet TB Joshua: Go and meet her and find out the situation she is in; so that I can now reveal God to you.
Mr. Obachide Ani: Ok, man of God.
Prophet TB Joshua: Anybody can be used to raise the dead but to maintain that grace of continuing doing it is where the problem lies. You go there now and touch the woman.

You first of all ask for forgiveness and say “Lord, your mercy and favour is all I need”, Prophet TB Joshua continued.
Repeat after me “Thank you lord. Your mercy and your favour is all I need. Forgive my sins Lord. Son of David, have mercy on me and commit yourself to the healing of this sister in Jesus Christ’s name”.
You can now bend down and touch the leg.
Mr Ani offered the prayer and touched her legs. Prophet TB Joshua then instructed Mr Ani to hold her right hand and lay his hand on her head, praying to God to heal her. After praying for her, Prophet TB Joshua told the woman, “Woman, it is not this man that is working, it’s God – rise up”!
Immediately, Mrs Okorie, whose only means of mobility was the crutches, stood up and walked by herself. “I am healed! Thank you Lord”, she screamed. Joy filled the air as Mrs. Okorie shouted at the top of her voice, thanking God for declaring freedom on her life and ending the pains and suffering she had endured.
This miracle in the life of Mrs. Okorie Esther confounded Mr. Obachide Ani and served as a proof to him that indeed miracles abound in the midst of men, and that God is the same today, tomorrow and forever; He never changes. God can use any medium to express Himself to man and He chooses whichever vessel He deems fit, sometimes going against the expectations and criteria of man.

It is good to know that some people take their time to examine things in the light of God's words.

I salute Senator Agbo for his truthfulness and outright independent analysis of the Grace of God in the life of Prophet TB Joshua.

We have seen and read about the numerous works of healing, miracles, charity, reconciliation and prophecy that God has been using the Prophet to carry out.

I pray that God will strengthen Senator Agbo and increase the annointing upon the life of Prophet TB Joshua.

I have asked you this question before and i will ask again :

HOW MUCH IS TB JOSHUA PAYING YOU TO POST ALL THESE SCAM REPORTS ON NAIRALAND?

Sooner or later, all your scams will be exposed. You people have already started bringing yourselves down especially with that "woman delivers snail" advert that you posted a while ago.Do you think people are fools?I don't blame you. It's the desperation from a visionless economy that pushes "customers" to your "miracle church".

When will my people ever learn?
When will people start using their common sense?

When a Prophet is from God, there is only one thing that can be done.
Contact God and ask him to speak to you concernnig a Prophet that says he is from him.
God does as he wills and does not consult our understanding or intelligence to do as he wills.
If he has decided to use this man as a tool, then he would not ask anybody what they think or go through his educational qualification.

Let God be thejudge.
Religion / Prophet T.b Joshua Donates To The Needy by TheLight2: 7:46pm On Dec 31, 2009
PROPHET T.B JOSHUA,

REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO THE ACT OF GIVING

The spiritual awakening comes to the seeker, who is perfectly humble and "meek" and "poor in spirit." The quality of true humility is one of the indispensable fundamentals. Then we find simplicity, holiness and the renunciation of all desire for worldly wealth and pride of learning.

In an interview that he granted, Prophet TB Joshua said: If you meet people, and you are in position – you have to help,” He further explains, “You can move freely, and he cannot move freely. You are to do something. If you see people like that and you close your eyes, you are closing your eyes to blessing of God. If you are blessed and you want to maintain it, without being a good giver – you are deceiving yourself, you cannot maintain it. This is why you get there and you fall back.”

Christmas celebration of the year 2009 will surely be one to remember for the communities of Alaba-Rago and Agege home for the needy, Lagos State, Nigeria. Not much is known of these communities. However, they both have something in common: slum occupied by the poor. It was on this day that Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations and the Emmanuel TV team paid a visit to the inhabitants of these communities. The primary aim of the visit was to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition, the occasion served as an opportunity to carry out the act of charity and giving.

Prophet TB Joshua accompanied by The Emmanuel TV team, stormed Alaba-Rago with a truck-full of top quality rice. This rice is intended only for the deprived/underprivileged that reside in the community. The sight of the environment was appalling, to say the least. One had to wonder how the inhabitants manage to survive in such an environment unbefitting of a human being.

At a point, the Prophet approached a young man smoking marijuana, collected it from him and extinguished it on his jeans. He then spotted a hut full of young men. He entered and discovered that they were all puffing away at their marijuana. Surprisingly, he sat in their midst and started a conversation with them, telling them that he was their friend. The hut was practically jam-packed, with each person with the exception of Prophet TB Joshua holding a stick of marijuana.

Prophet TB Joshua shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them and promised to assist any one of them that decided to further their education or take up a trade. He then donated bags of rice to them.

At the Agege home for the needy, Prophet TB Joshsua wa seen lifting bags of rice on his head. He also donated loads of bag of rice to the blind and leper community. In addition, the sum of N300,000 was presented to the leader of the community.

Let a man have what he will, and do what he will, it signifies nothing without charity; which surely implies that charity is the great thing, and that everything which has not charity in some way contained or implied in it is nothing, and that this charity is the life and soul of all religion, without which all things that wear the name of virtues are empty and vain.

All the fruits of the Spirit which we are to lay weight upon as evidential of grace, are summed up in charity, or Christian love; because this is the sum of all grace. And the only way, therefore, in which anyone can know their good estate, is by discerning the exercises of this divine charity in their hearts; for without charity, let men have what gifts you please, they are nothing.

Nairaland / General / TB JOSHUA DONATES TRANSFORMERS TO NEIGHBOURING COMMUNITY by TheLight2: 7:16pm On Dec 24, 2009
One of the biggest problems ever present in the average Nigerian community is that of electricity supply. In most places, power supply is very epileptic, so much so that it cripples economic activities.

The government of the nation has continuously failed in its promises to deliver stable electricity supply to the people, and so the people have resorted to generating their private power via mechanical generating sets, which cost a fortune to acquire and much more to maintain. These developments create a big vacuum for those people who cannot afford to purchase their own generating sets as well as keep them running.
Worse still is the case of some communities which cannot boast of a reliable transformer to meet their electrical needs. Such communities are left in a world of their own; which is primarily a world of darkness and lack of access to electricity supply. In a bid to fend for themselves, these communities have to organise themselves to form a unit and thrive to pull funds in order to purchase their transformer. The realisation of the fact that these transformers actually cost a fortune effectively puts an end to their quest to acquire them. Finally, the last resort; which will only apply to those who are fortunate enough to have the opportunity is to appeal to well-to-do members of their community who can afford to purchase the transformer for them, and have the track record of philanthropic propensity.

The above scenario played itself out recently when members of the sleepy Bolorun-pelu neighbourhood of Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, came to thank Prophet TB Joshua for his philanthropic activities that have ensured that they would cease to live in darkness and enjoy the benefits of accessibility to constant electric light.
Thursday October 2009, was the day. Members of the community were greeted with a very loud sound that emanated from the electrical transformer at the entrance of their community. The loud sound signalled the disruption of regular electrical supply to the community. Immediate efforts were put in place to ensure that the transformer was restored to its previous functional state; efforts which ended in futility. At this point, the community leaders decided to table their plight with their benevolent neighbour, Prophet TB Joshua, whose characteristic charitable gestures have endeared him to many.
Originally, the community was using a single transformer. This was the primary cause of the collapse of the transformer, as it was unable to function for the community due to overload.

Representatives of the community converged at The Synagogue Church of All Nations to inform Prophet TB Joshua of their predicament and appealed for his support in their quest to purchase a new transformer.

Responding to their appeal, Prophet TB Joshua reiterated that he saw the community as his neighbour and would ensure that he loved them to the best of his ability and put smiles back on their faces. He promised to purchase two transformers for the community and ensure that they were both installed.
On Monday 21st December 2009, a large number of the community members turned out at The Synagogue Church Of All Nations to create a carnival-like atmosphere as they came to thank Prophet TB Joshua for purchasing and installing two transformers for their community. The spokesperson for the group recalled how the whole episode began.

He said: “My name is Adeleke Luqman ,  and I represent the people who have come here today to say a very big thank you to Prophet TB Joshua for making sure that we, his neighbours will never be put to shame and ensuring that we can boldly say to the whole world that we are neighbours to Propjet TB Joshua and the Synagogue.”
“We came here recently to complain to Prophet TB Joshua that we have been suffering from power supply for some time. This we did because in the past he has been the one that we always run to for help whenever we have any problem that is bigger than us to solve, and each time he would make sure that we go back home with joy.”

He continued: “When we came, we told him of our predicament and he promised us that he would ensure that we would not complain about transformer again. We went home happily because like I said, anytime we come to him to help us for anything he always tells us that we are his neighbour and anything that bothers us will also bother him, so he will solve the problem for us. For example, the last transformer that just got spoilt, he is the one that bought it for us and many other things like that.”

He concluded: “We have come now to thank him because now we are happy that the transformers have been bought, not only that, but it has also been installed and now we are enjoying our power supply thanks to the support of Prophet TB Joshua. That is why we are here today to say a big thank you to him and to thank God for his life. We are also living witnesses to the good things that God is using Prophet TB Joshua to do. Some of us are not Christians, yet he does not discriminate against us, he takes us as one of his own.”

At the end of the ceremony, Prophet TB Joshua instructed that each member of the community that came out on the day be presented with a bag of rice for the celebration of the yuletide. In addition, the leader of the community was handed the sum of N 300, 000 cash for the purchase of a live cow for the members of the community.

Religion / Re: Bishop Mike Okonkwo Acquires Private Jet by TheLight2: 1:39pm On Dec 18, 2009
houvest:

.Kunle, do you really think that the fact that you are still alive and kicking shows that God approves of your slander on men of God. Please do not mistake the longsuffering of God for your repentance for approval. I do not know whether you are a christian or not but I know that Christ's commission to the Church is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth and this includes doing it with all tools at our disposal including a jet plane. Bishop Oyedepo can preach in twenty different countries in a week and still be at Ota on sunday to teach his disciples because of the tool of the plane. This is even more urgent now that the end is near. Please do you really think that these men just want to belong to the class of men who own a jet? Won’t that be crazy at their age and standing in life. On the other hand do you think for fear of criticism or being accused of ostantatious living they should disobey heaven who provided such tools and gave them the commission? No way. Any man who is worth his salt can not be apologetic about what he believes in. You do not know the source of these jets but you are so sure they are from the tithes and offerings of their congregations which you and your group have been crusading against on Nairaland .I ask you; Christ's commission to the church is it to lead a crusade against tithing or sit on God's throne, releasing the list of the true and false men of God? On the matter of charitableness which you rightly advocate, Kunle do you have the resume of these men on that.? My little enquiries revealed that the records of many of them are oustanding but you emphasize on that to the detriment of the others, ie preaching the gospel, the same thing Christ told the pharisees. The gospel must be wholly preached not only one side of it. you cannot remove prosperity and emphasize only on humility and frugality nor remove holiness and preach only on blessings. In my 25 years of studyind the scriptures,
christian literature, church history and church activities , i have found people who were ready to die for a certain doctrine today and tomorrow, they are the chief propagators of the same doctrine they opposed like Saul of Tarsus. I have seen people who were adamant against tithing only to later change their views with better insight. i also opposed tithing at at some points in my life till i got better knowledge. I also have rad the testimonies of former devotees of T.B. Joshua who are now exposing the things they were made to do including trying to destroy the reputations of men of God as you have been doing in Nairaland. Obviosly there are fake men of God but you can not be the judge. They will also be exposed in due course.i urge you to try and accomodate others with different understandings of scriptural doctrines so that you will not be in a hurry to label them "common criminals", "false men of God" etc, in the process attracting God's wrath to yourself especially as you yourself and everybody else did not receive like Moses these scriptures directly from God and therfore are not experts in their interpretation. The matter of even proper translations from the original languages are another matter i do not want to go into here. I have read other post where other fellows appealed to you to backtrack. Many words are enough for the genuine seeker of truth but of course not for the proud or all knowing, or someone's tool or apostate or antichrist and i do hope that you are none of the above and that you are not engaging in these practices for fun but are a sincere seeker of the truth and salvation.
God's grace.

I cannot understand how and why you advisce people not to judge, yet you drag the name of a respected Man of God like TB Joshua into this whole JET talk.

very Funny!

Preach what you practise.
if you cannot defend your pastor or give explanations as to how and why he bought a PJ, then dont bother to make posts, afterall you are also a member of Nairaland and people have their right to say what they want,

Some how, it becomes cleare that it is much more easier to make a headline when TB Joshua is brought into the picture.

The primate never mentioned the name of B Joshua and I assume that whoever insinuated that he refererd to TB Joshua is obviously hitting bull's eye. The question then is: How and when did Coach Amodu give glory to TB Joshua? All he did was to testify to the goodness of God in TB Joshua's church.

Let us try to do justice and avoid dragging people into issues when it is not warranted.

Religion / Armed Robbers Surrender…receive Support From Prophet Tb Joshua by TheLight2: 9:22pm On Dec 09, 2009
“These are the people that scare you. They steal from you and terrorise you at will. Everywhere in the world, people believe their power. Even witches and wizards, some people don’t believe they exist, but armed robbers; everybody fears them.” These were the words of Prophet TB Joshua as some delivered armed robbers came out to give their testimony to the congregation at the live Sunday service held at the Synagogue Church of All Nations on 30th November 2009.
A group of six, made up of four males and two females came out to describe their mode of operation whilst thanking God for delivering them from the spirit of stealing through Prophet TB Joshua.

First to speak was Favour, a female, who got married to an armed robber and was introduced into the trade of stealing from innocent members of the society. In her own words:

“My name is Favour, a former armed robber. I got married to an armed robber who introduced me into the business of stealing from innocent people.”
Explaining further she said: “He (her husband) gave me a handkerchief which he got from an herbalist. When we enter into a bus, I will wave the handkerchief in the air and people will begin to fall asleep. When they fall asleep, the gang will then begin to rob them of their belongings”
She concluded “I was watching Emmanuel TV and I saw how Prophet TB Joshua was delivering some armed robbers. After watching and seeing the kind of support that he gives to them, I decided to come to the church for my own deliverance.”

Next was Marvis, another female, an informant to armed robbers and love-peddler. Hear her:
“My name is Marvis, a former armed robber. My friend asked me to come to Lagos, saying she would get me a good job. When I came into Lagos, she introduced me into prostitution. Along the line, I met a guy, who is an armed robber, who said he would like to be my boyfriend. He later told me that he wanted me to be acting as an informant to him and his gang of robbers.”

Continuing she said, “When I get picked by rich man, I will interact with him and in the process find out whether he is a rich man or not. If he is rich, I will then secretly disclose our location to my boyfriend who will storm the place with his gang and steal form the man. They will then tie me and the man up so as to avoid any suspicion on my side.”

“One day I was watching TV when I saw how Prophet TB Joshua was delivering some robbers. It was then that I decided to come to the church for my deliverance.” She concluded.

Prophet TB Joshua prayed for them and declared them delivered from the spirit of armed robbery.
In the same vein, the former armed robbers whose deliverance captured the attention of those ones who came out for deliverance came out to thank God for delivering them from the spirit of robbery. When asked how long they had lived in the church, they all chorused: Three weeks. Prophet TB Joshua instructed that each of them got financial support to the tune of N200, 000 and a holy bible.

A member of this group came out to thank God for saving his life. He narrated that a few days after his deliverance, he was called by a former colleague who invited him to join in a robbery operation, but he turned him down saying he is now a new creature. Explaining how that decision turned out to save his life, he said:
“After my deliverance, a former colleague of mine called me and invited me to join him in a robbery operation. I told him that I am now a different person as I have been delivered from the spirit of stealing. He mocked me and told me that after sometime I will surely get back to the job of stealing as it was impossible to just stop doing so.”

Continuing he said: “Some days later, I got information that all the members of the gang that went out for the operation lost their lives in the process.”
He went further to display to the congregation and the world that he was already a changed person, saying: “In the last operation that I was involved in, I stole a bag, which I thought contained money. On getting home, I saw that it contained a laptop (notebook computer), two ATM cards and some documents belonging to the owner. Now that I have been delivered, I decided to bring it to the church so that it can be returned to the owner”
Prophet TB Joshua promised that the bag would be safely delivered back to the owner as soon as possible.

Complete Sports can reveal today that top officials of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, are pilling huge pressure on Super Eagles chief coach, Shuaibu Amodu to include a few members of the Golden Eaglets team that won silver medal at the recently held FIFA U-17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria last month.
The NFF officials, Complete Sports gathered wants some of these players to train with the Eagles in Namibia and gather valuable experience that will come handy in future national assignments.

A decent source at the NFF revealed that Amodu was swayed by the argument put forward by the NFF top shots including Sanni Abdulahi Lulu who, Complete Sports recalls practically forced erstwhile Eagles manager, Berti Vogts to include some members of the 2007 gold-winning Eaglets team in Eagles preparation for Ghana 2008 Africa Nations Cup.

Two players, Sanni Emmanuel who emerged the highest goal scorer at the championships and the boy many Nigerians have labelled the ‘new Sunday Oliseh’, Ramon Azeez topped the list of players that will make the trip to Namibia.

Nairaland / General / Sani Emmanuel’s Triumph From Tragedy by TheLight2: 7:58pm On Nov 27, 2009
SANI EMMANUEL’S TRIUMPH FROM TRAGEDY
By shola OSHUKEYE
Source: The Spectator.
Volume 2, No. 82

In the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Youth Championship dubbed Nigeria 2009, Sani Emmanuel had the world in his soccer boots. He mesmerized opponents at will, and sliced through defences the way a hot knife slices through butter. He dazzled and made nonsense of defenders, scoring textbook goals. In all, he scored five goals in 221 minutes of play and won the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball as well as the Silver Shoe, through a dint of hard work and dedication to God, Emmanuel now rides the crest of fame and has become a toast from clubs across Europe.
But that is not news.

The news is that the boy honed his soccer career at a most unlikely place – the church, specifically the Synagogue Church Of Nations, where he is top striker with My People FC, a football club owned and funded by the church’s General Overseer, Prophet T.B. Joshua.
Emmanuel has since returned to the Synagogue where he lives. And last Sunday 22nd November 2009, he set thousands of parishioners into rapturous celebration as he stormed the sanctuary for a thanksgiving session. Former Zambian president Frederick Chiluba was among other eminent persons that rejoiced with Emmanuel, who dedicated his awards to Nigeria’s rising army of suffering youth, pledging to start a foundation that would help them become useful and influential members of the society.

Many wept for joy as the golden boy, who currently plays for Boden BK Football Club’s junior team in Sweden, narrated his rag-to-riches story. His father, Sani Unakhasor, from Edo State, was among the weeping crowd, and he too wept like a baby.

His tears were both of joy and intense sorrow. Joy for his son’s success and deep sadness over the tragedy that brought him, and later, his son, Sani, to the Synagogue. Though not rich, Unokhasor, a father of nine, and husband of two wives, was enjoying life in his little corner until tragedy struck.
One day, a hot argument burst out between both women, and in a fit of madness, the junior wife, who was then nursing a three-month-old baby, took a bottle, broke it and stabbed her senior colleague in the throat. The senior wife bled to death before she could reach the hospital. With one wife in a hospital morgue and another in detention for murder, Unokhasor’s life took a spin. There was an uncontrollable chaos in his family. Nothing he did ever worked. He could not cater for his children, and two of his daughters got married out of frustration. He wanted to commit suicide. He almost did, until he met Prophet T.B. Joshua.
Well, as they say, the taste of the pudding is in the eating.

Below are excerpts from Unokhasor’s heart-rending narration:
“My name is Sani Unokhasor. I’m form Edo State. I’m a widower. I married my first wife with happiness. We had no problem with child bearing when we got married. We had our first issue, a girl. The second one, too, is a baby girl. The third and the fourth are girls. I was confused because I’m the only son of my father. And my father is an old man. Well. I started worrying (about not having a male child). That’s what made me to go and marry a second wife. But as God would have it, my first wife took in before the second, and she gave me my first baby boy.

“In all, I have five boys, four girls, making nine. Then, the junior one has three boys, while the senior one has four girls, two boys. And there was trouble in my house every day. I didn’t know what to do. Should I divorce one (and retain the other)? I couldn’t do it because they both have children for me. Well, I started battling with them. I was at work one day, and the chairman (of the residents association) called me to say that my wives were fighting. I went out to settle them. When I got there, and as I was settling them, the junior one (broke loose), took (a broken) bottle and stabbed the senior one in the throat.”
“I started shouting, calling on people to rescue her. On my way outside to look for taxi, I removed her wrapper to cover the wound because she was bleeding seriously like pump (like a burst water pipe). Shortly after, she gave up.”

“I was crying (He starts to cry, ). I was crying. I didn’t know what to do. The children were crying, too. There was confusion everywhere. I decided to kill myself. But I couldn’t do it. So, I ran to the police station and invited the police. The police came and took my junior wife to prison. They took me to (the) police station, too.”
“Now, my junior wife was nursing a baby, she went to prison with the baby. The baby grew up inside prison. She spent three years there. Then, they asked me to come and take the baby. I took the baby home and began to nurse him. I suffered a lot to see that he survived. The problem was so much I decided to kill myself but I couldn’t do it. I felt that if I did it, who would take care of my children? That’s what made me to be patient. And I started suffering with them. Out of frustration, I gave out two of the girls, who were about 20 years old, in marriage. They married out of frustration and I continued to battle with the rest. Some of them couldn’t go to school again. They dropped out.

(Still crying, ) “To worsen my problem, my sons began to fight themselves: ‘Your mother killed my mother I will kill you’. It was hell. Then one day, my son (Sani Emmanuel) came home and began tell me about the Synagogue Church. I became convinced and I said, ’Let me go with you’. That’s how I managed to come here. I begged God to help me out of this problem. To eat was a big problem. There was no money to feed. Some of the children have gone to Abuja to work for people because there is no money. I cannot do anything to help them.”

At the height of Unokhasor’s extreme suffering, he found The Synagogue, through his son. Prophet T.B. Joshua restored him with an unspecified amount of money and Sani Emmanuel, whose mum was stabbed to death, had found comfort in the hollows of Joshua’s hands and had become an altar boy, living in the church and, for the first time in a long time, enjoying the world. Later he became a member of Joshua’s football club, My People FC.

Sani Emmanuel’s first invitation to the Golden Eaglets’ camp wasn’t quite successful. He was among others. But while his fellow decampees were sad and forlorn, the striker, who was born on December 23, 1992, moved on as if nothing happened. He even encouraged a teammate, Onazi Ogenyi, and took him to Joshua. Joshua counselled them and restored their hope by sending them to Boden BK Football Club’s junior team in Sweden. They excelled and eventually earned another invitation to the Eaglets’ camp. They made the team that won Silver in the U-17 championship that ended two weeks ago. Onazi Ogenyi, Sani Emmanuel and Dami Paul, the Eaglets’ goalkeeper, were celebrated at the Synagogue last Sunday.

Nairaland / General / Prophet Tb Joshua’s Comment On Kenya Vs Nigeria And Mozambique Vs Tunisia (world by TheLight2: 6:39pm On Nov 25, 2009
There have been false news reports in circulation about the comments of Prophet TB Joshua on the final round of world cup qualifying matches between Kenya vs Nigeria on the one hand and Mozambique vs Tunisia on the other.

In the report, carried on 14th November 2009 release of The Nigerian Tribune, and entitled: T.B Joshua Predicts Victory For Eagles, by Tosin Omojola, the writer wrote that Prophet TB Joshua had prophesied that Nigeria will defeat Kenya by 3-2 goal margin while Mozambique would beat Tunisia by 2-1 goal margin. Also, according to the report, the Prophet prophesied that the Nigeria U17 team, the Golden Eaglets would emerge victorious in their final match against Switzerland.
On the heels of the victory of the Super Eagles against the Mozambique team, Ambassador John Fashanu attended the Sunday service after to confirm the fact that the prophet had told him that the team would win the match by a lone goal. He ended the prophecy with a question as to what would be the fate of the team in the last qualifying round of matches.

Hear him: “So we are through and the question we will ask the man of God is how we are going to do against Kenya on the 14th, thank you.”

Prophet TB Joshua answered saying: “Wow, can you see the question my brother is asking me now, in the eyes of the world?

“The question my brother was asking concerning our game between Kenya, we don’t have problem with that, our problem is Tunisia vs Mozambique. We don’t have problem with Kenya – no matter what happens that day there is no problem. Your problem is Tunisia; Mozambique is not your problem again. Tunisia is your problem.”

Continuing, he said: “With God all things are possible. If you want me to just tell you the mind of God which I will not talk about, I can only tell you about you and Kenya – Don’t bother to think about that, but its Tunisia and Mozambique. The will of God for this nation is to go to the world cup. It is the hope that we are looking for. It is still possible, we can still do it – that we can do it will continue. That is the hope; with God all things are possible”.

Finally he said: “The will of God for this nation is to go to world cup”

In the same vein, whilst reacting to the teammates of Sani Emmanuel and Onazi Ogenyi, both members of the U17 team, who were to play the final match in some hour’s time from then, who had stormed the Sunday service with a large placard soliciting prayers in proxy for their colleagues, Prophet TB Joshua said:

“Why can’t you wait for them to finish the match before you start your testimony?

“Can you see the way they entered the service? Because they cannot hold it again.”

“They should go and sit down and fast and pray for their brothers, their brothers still have almost five to seven hours now, under trial. They should go and watch and pray. I think the whole members hear this. Join them in watching and praying”

It is obvious from these statements that Prophet TB Joshua did not specifically prophecy about the scoreline of the matches in question, but rather chose to interpret his prophecy in parables. A close observation of the parables will reveal the accuracy of the prophecy. In particular, the occasion of the Eaglets would have afforded the prophet the opportunity to be swayed by the pressure of the teammates and declare that the team would emerge victorious. He instead stood firmly and urged the teammates to “, fast and pray for their brothers, their brothers still have almost five to seven hours now, under trial.”

For the avoidance of doubt, the statements by the Man of God, Prophet TB Joshua are presently on the popular video uploading website; YouTube for the consumption of the public and the correction of the wrong impression created by the false news reports circulating round the internet.

Nairaland / General / Sometimes An Opportunity Is All That Is Needed by TheLight2: 2:49pm On Nov 23, 2009
The following is an account from my diary, Thursday 19th November 2009.

At about 9:00pm on 19th November 2009, after visiting my friend at Ijegun, I was driving to Mile 2 on the Ikotun – Ejigbo road when I suddenly observed that I had a flat tyre, just close to the Synagogue bus-stop, of the ever popular Synagogue Church of all Nations, the church headed by the controversial Prophet TB Joshua.

While trying to fix the tyre as quickly as possible so as to get home and observe my rest for the day in preparation for the next day's job and activities, I observed that a large crowd had gathered at the gate of the church. They were shouting at the top of their voices and hailing the hero of the recently concluded FIFA U17 world cup in Nigeria, Sani Emmanuel and his team mate Ogenyi Onazi. I had previously read an article and also an interview granted by Sani Emmanuel, where he declared that he was an altar boy at the Synagogue, and so I was not completely surprised. As the shouting persisted, I decided to have a close look to know exactly what the crowd was cheering at.

On getting there, I noticed that the two Eaglets were posing with some persons who were gathered inside the beautiful water fountain outside the church entrance, for photograph shots. The crowd's enthusiasm increased when the much sought after and highly criticized Prophet TB Joshua joined the gathering in the photo shots. On seeing the large crowd that was on the increase as the each second went by, the Prophet invited everyone of the crowd to come into the church premises and have an opportunity to see the boys live and direct.

Once inside the auditorium, the crowd continued to build up, as expectations grew. TB Joshua started interacting with the crowd and sampling the opinions of individuals concerning the performance of Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi in the competition. Those who stood up to speak were full of praises for the duo for their contribution to the success of the team. They also prayed for both of them to get the nod of top European football clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea Fc, Arsenal Fc, etal, and get signed into their team.

Then came the moment that all were waiting patiently for; Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi walked into the auditorium to join the ecstatic crowd. Dressed in the official playing kits of the National football teams of Nigeria, they both thanked the crowd for their support and prayers during the tournament, and asked for more prayers as they believe that there are still more hurdles to cross in the quest for the peak of their careers.

After the speech and greetings by the duo, Prophet TB Joshua thanked the crowd for their support and ordered that they all be provided with refreshment before they would leave the premises. Cold drinks were immediately served to each person in the auditorium. Just as we were all beginning to thank Prophet TB Joshua for his kind gestures, he dropped what was to be the biggest surprise of the day; announcing that every member of the crowd would get the sum of N500 before leaving the premises. The crowd went wild on hearing this and showered praises and prayers on the Prophet.

I went home with my N500, and the drink that I had. It was nice to have an opportunity to meet the duo just after they awed the world. And it was good to meet Prophet TB Joshua for the first time. I know that the money might not be a big deal for me, but I considered the people in the crowd, who perhaps had no idea where their next meal would come from, having the opportunity to get the sum of N500 just because they were fortunate enough to be there at the time.

Nairaland / General / A First Timer’s Account Of Prophet T.b. Joshua by TheLight2: 5:36pm On Nov 17, 2009
Until recently, I always thought that the best way to analyze issues is to rely on the information provided by “experts”, whose job it is to inform others, especially those who really do not have the time to do the investigations and groundwork themselves. It became clear to me that although quite reliable in some instances, there are certain prices to be paid by those who solely rely on the information of others without making any efforts of their own before forming an opinion on any issue.

I have been a Christian since birth. I have followed the word of God and read the Holy bible right from my early years as a human being. I remember clearly that in the book of Proverbs 8 vs 9: To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge…
The spirit of discerning is a vital one that God has promised to bestow unto those who are members of his kingdom and who crave the knowledge for the well being of themselves and their environment at large.

For a very long time, there has been a strong wave of attack on the person of Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, especially against his practices and doctrines. I have followed the commentaries of popular Christians in Nigeria and around the world at large regarding this man of God.
As time went by, it became clearer to me that the majority of those who are criticizing him seem to have a personal issue with him. They, in my opinion, turned the whole issue into an attack scheme, slandering and campaign of calumny. So I decided to ask the questions and try to provide answers to them. In order for me to do these effectively, it was important for me to visit the Synagogue personally and ascertain the true situation of things myself. I asked questions such as;
1. Is it true that this man does not use the name of Jesus in his activities?
2. Does he really preach the word of God and quote from the Bible?
3. How true are the prophecies that he speaks to members of his church and to the world at large?

On the particular Sunday, I got into the church premises at about 8:00am and was ushered into the church auditorium by the ushers as a newcomer to the church. I was directed to sit alongside fellow newcomers just beside the main gate entrance, under the gallery. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we were all moved to our seats for the day. I was asked to sit just close to the altar, where I could catch a good view of the man of God when he comes out for the day’s ministration. The service commenced with the opening prayers, followed by the praise and worship by the church choir. At about 9:16am, Prophet TB Joshua walked into the church auditorium. The first thing I noticed about him was the air of humility around him; he was simply dressed in a shirt and trousers. Next, was the answer to the first question, something which came to me as a wild surprise, thanks to the number of comments that I have listened to in the past concerning TB Joshua; he actually welcomed the congregation to the service in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

He immediately went into the sermon for the day, raising into the air a devotional material titled: WAREFARE IS NECESSARY, which he said was for our friends and families at home and at work. He started his message which was titled: I am a faith man. I was stunned as I listened to this same man preach the word of God whilst quoting from the Holy Bible, which he referred to as “The Only book that can transform your life”. It dawned on me, without any form of doubt that there was something supernatural about this man and his ministry. At this point in time, it was not yet clear to me what it was.

Deep into his sermon, he displayed what I still find only to be of God - the spirit of true giving. Widows and widowers, orphans, less privileged, physically challenged et al, were all
beneficiaries of the gifts of cash which he gave out to them on the day, all coupled with bags of rice and flour given to them as well. It was truly an opportunity for me to see for myself, those things that true critics will choose to turn blind eyes to.
At the end of the sermon, he started to speak to members of the congregation, specifically calling out individuals, telling them very private issues that concern them, sometimes even going as far as calling out their names. This was truly awesome. There was this particular man who sat just beside me. The man got the shocker of his life when the prophet pointed at him and specifically told him the problems that brought him to the church, he went further to tell him his date of birth, and the man almost went crazy with the surprise that he displayed.

What touched me the most was that problems that maybe people could not voice out but that had troubled them for years – were revealed by TB Joshua and then they were prayed for and ‘delivered’. I can only use that word because – the solution had come and it was a spiritual one – as TB Joshua himself says – the root of everything is spiritual. It is one thing to have a word of knowledge about someone’s life – something they have never disclosed to anyone – but it is another to provide the solution and see the follow up in that person’s life – I mean, freedom forever. It really made me think about what prophecy is meant for.
The service ended and I knew without any shadow of doubt that the end has come for those who have decided to carry out their acts of blasphemy against the works of God in the life of TB Joshua; at least in my life. There was no room left for me to harbour the wicked lies and deceit that have been constantly sown into the minds of the unsuspecting public, in order to tarnish the name of God in the life of the prophet. I have since asked for forgiveness of my sins from God and prayed that other people who are still in the bondage of this evil cabal will be set free in the name of Jesus.

I advice other people who are currently in the habit of forming opinions about others to desist from doing so and carry out their own investigations, especially when the involved issues are things of the spirit which can be confirmed by witnessing and prayers.
How come this man of God has continuously survived each bout of criticism thrown at him to become stronger? Why can’t his detractors hand over the issue to God to nullify the “powers” of TB Joshua if indeed they are false? Why can’t people allow the course of nature to dismantle the popularity of this man as has been done to previous false men of God?

More questions begging for answers.

Acts 5:38
“So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown.

Nairaland / General / Sani Emmanuel: Mvp Of Nigeria 2009. by TheLight2: 8:29pm On Nov 16, 2009
During the live service at The SCOAN on Sunday 15th November, members from My People Football Club entered the live service carrying a huge placard that read “Standing in Proxy for Teammates Sani Emmanuel 14 and Onazi 4”.

After thanking TB Joshua for his support of their team and for seeing their mates onto a club in Sweden and further onto the under 17 team for the FIFA world cup, they asked for the man of God’s prayers.

The response from the man of God was, “Congratulations”.

Indeed Nigeria, and the world congratulated Sani Emmanuel on being adjudged and awarded the Most Valuable player (The golden ball) and also the silver shoe award. Congratulations Sani Emmanuel!

The best is yet to come.

I would have been disturbed when the Eagles were down, but a friend had sent me the link to the news report that said, TB JOSHUA predicted that Nigeria will qualify. Although, it was hard, all I had to do was chill and see. Finally it paid and the team qualified like he predicted. To those who queried and called his name into the game, I hope you all will now come out to admit that indeed, God is alive and TB Joshua is one of his many true prophets.
Nairaland / General / T.b Joshua Predicts Victory For Eagles: My Comment by TheLight2: 7:20pm On Nov 14, 2009
For those who have not seen the news report, this is another opportunity to read it once again:

PROPHET T. B Joshua of The Synagogue Church For All Nations says the Super Eagles will emerge victorious in Kenya, with the 2010 World Cup ticket in their kitty.

The man of God renowned for his predictions, prophesied during the week that the Super Eagles would beat Kenya 3-1 while Tunisia would lose 1-2 to Mozambique in Maputo, paving the World Cup ticket for Nigeria.

Prophet Joshua, SaturdayTribunesports gathered, also predicted a weekend of double celebrations for Nigeria as he said the Golden Eaglets would retain the FIFA U-17 title by beating Switzerland in tomorrow's final match of Nigeria 2009, in Abuja.

It will be recalled that Joshua prophesied that Ghana's Black Satellites would lift the FIFA U-20 World Cup, Egypt 2009.

On phone to Silas Teteh, Ghana's U-20 chief coach, Joshua told the coach whom to pick for the penalty shootout win against Brazil in the final, saying some of them would lose their kicks but that Ghana was going to carry the day.

MY COMMENT:
THIS MAN MUST REALLY BE REALLY GOOD OR VERY BAD. TYHE NATION OF GHANA WENT CRAZY WITH DIVIDED OPINION WHEN IE WAS REVEALED THAT TB JOSHUA WAS ACTUALLY INVOLVED WITH THEIR U20 TEAM THAT WON THE WORLD CUP AT THE EGYPT 2009 TOURNEY. NOW NIGERIA IS ABOUT TO WIN THE U17 WORLD CUP WHICH IT IS HOSTING. THE SUPER EAGLES, WHO MANY THOUGHT HAD LOST THEIR OPPORTUNITY TO QUALIFY FOR THE FIRST MUNDIAL TO BE HOSTED IN THE AFRICAN CONTINENT, SUDDENLY BEAT THE KENYA TEAM, COMING FROM A GOAL TO WIN 3-2, AND THEN MIRACULOUSLY GOT THE RESULT THAT MOZAMBIQUE BEAT TUNISIA BY A LONE GOAL. WELL, I WAS STUUNED WHEN I READ THE STORY AFTER THE MATCH, THAT TB JOSHUA HAD ACTUALLY PREDICTED THAT THE SUPER EAGLLES WILL QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD CUP. THAT TUNISIA WILL BE BEATEN BY MOZAMBIQUE. IT WAS VERY SURPRISING WHEN I THEN DISCOVERED THAT THE STORY HAD BEEN WRITTEN IN THE MORNING OF STAURDAY 14 2009, THE DAY OF THE MATCH., BY TOSIN OMOJOLA.

GOD IS GOOD AND HE TRULY HAS SOME PROPHETS WHO HE HAS CHOSEN TO DO HIS WORK ON EARTH, INDEED, PROPHET TB JOSHUA IS ONE OF THEM.
Sports / Re: U-17 World Cup Final: Switzerland Vs Nigeria [1 - 0] by TheLight2: 7:07pm On Nov 14, 2009
The Eaglets will win the competition and then we will be able to do a double celebration.

My main concern is how the team will fare with the individual laurels. I expect Stanley Okoro and Sani Emmanuel to gun for the MVP. Their major threat will be Ben Khalifa of Switzerland.

For the Golden Boots, a goal for Sani Emmanuel, hoping that Borja of Spain fails to find the back of the net, will give him the Golden boot. If they both fail to score, then the award will go to Gallegos of Uruguay, while Sani Emmanuel will get the Silver Boot.
Nairaland / General / Fort Hood Army Base Tragedy: How Tb Joshua Was Involved. by TheLight2: 6:12pm On Nov 14, 2009
America, and indeed the world at large, woke up with a rude shock and awakening; news of the tragedy that occurred at the fort hood army base had been broadcasted worldwide. It has been some days after, but did America and American ever knew that somebody somewhere, who is the creator of the universe had seen the event beforehand and directed his mouthpiece, a prophet to speak to the America and warn her of the tragedy forthcoming?

During a recent Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke forth a prophetic message concerning an event that would take place in a super nation, at a place bearing the name, ‘Fort’.

These were his words:

“What’s happening here is a blessing to the nation and to the whole world. Like today, I have some message. This is not even Nigeria but a super nation. The name, ‘Fort’. We should pray for that name. It may be the name of a big company in the whole world but it’s a name. Pray for this name. It’s a parable because I’m seeing a strange person carrying something. But I said, “No, God, please”. We are praying for the whole world here and we keep praying for the whole world”.
On Thursday, November 5th 2009, a soldier carrying two handguns opened fire on fellow soldiers at the Fort Hood Army Base in Fort Hood, Texas, USA. 13 people were killed and 30 were wounded. Take note of the name – Fort. This was the name revealed by God Almighty to Prophet T.B. Joshua and pronounced by the man of God during the Sunday live service.

“This is not even Nigeria but a super nation.” The Fort Hood Army base is located in Fort Hood, Texas, USA – indeed a super nation, just as the man of God said.

“The name ‘Fort’. We should pray for that name. It may be the name of a big company in the whole world but it’s a name”. Fort Hood is the largest active duty armored post in the whole world and is the only post in the United States that is capable of supporting two full armored divisions.

It will be recalled that Prophet TB Joshua is renowned for predicting events that will happen in the future, accurately before they happen.

In the future, it is expected that people of the world will honour the words of God as spoken by his prophet and heed to the instructions so as to avoid such tragedy.

People can never stop being funny!

Let us assume, without conceding, that the water is actually sold. Let somebody call the phone numbers on the screen of Emmanuel TV or visit the official website of the church to get the numbers and then call them to find out how much it costs.

Better still come and "buy" it yourself at the church and then tell the world how much it costs.
Me, I got mine FREE OF CHARGE, FOC, and I can confidently tell whoever cares to listen that the person who started this thread is just a ridiculous liar, who has nothing better to do.
