rossniti: If you had a working brain, which you don't, you would realise that corruption, like drug trafficking, is a RACKET that involves multiple players in multiple countries, who facilitate the moving around of money.
This is why when the US govt goes after drug gangs, they don't limit it to US based mules, who are often the small fry. They send special agents to Colombia, Mexico etc, to fish out the heads of the networks, and take them out, or drag them to the US for trial etc.
UNTIL WE HAVE THAT SAME APPROACH TO CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA, you will NEVER end that problem here.
Until you grow the balls to tell the big banks and big shots in England, France, Switzerland, etc to STOP ENABLING CORRUPTION IN AFRICA, you will keep being STUPID. I actually wasn't expecting you to put an intelligent discussion, like I said earlier, you always resort to name calling whenever your views are challenged which to me says a lot about you as a person. . The fact that you resort to insults validates my concerns Your insults won't/never change anything. If any it will only solidify my/our stance on you that you are nothing but a filled space with nothing to contribute in a logical conversation. I won't stoop low to banter words with you. But know that your disgusting attitude is annoying Af. I am not fighting with you neither do I want such. The earlier you desist from making senseless and ignorant comments about Nigeria and Africa the better for you. |

rossniti: If only these slaves we call Nigerians had your common sense and dignity.
Imagine. The person that is HOUSING your money is coming out to shout "corruption" to make himself look good, while throwing his local errand boys under the bus, and Nigerian dumb slaves are taken in by such elementary deceit and gross hypocrisy. Disgusting. Is it just me or has anyone observed for long how this guy goes on about every thread spewing rubbish, and sounding as if he is the know-all and only pure and original Nigerian in this country? To what end? Do you really think you are more Nigerian or patriotic than most of us? . I've noticed with disgust how you are quick to counter opposing arguments often with unwarranted harshness, even as far as labelling people racists or slaves just for disagreeing with you. What do you hope to archive with this uncivilised behaviour? That said, I am glad this MP gave us a glimpse about how Gowon milk our country dry and loot its resources to far away London. He is among the many crooks and hoodlums we called past leaders who have achieved their mission of bringing our economy to its knees . An investigation revealed $400billion was stoled from Nigeria coffers between 1960-1999 The earlier people like this guy realize Africa problems and particularly Nigeria problems are it's leaders and bad governance the better for us all. |

Neddstark: Gowon was removed from power in a coup while he was in Uganda. What time did he have to loot half of the central bank and come to London after his coup? Why didnt the government of Muritala request the funds transferred to London. There is no way that money that huge will leave the shores of Nigeria and not be noticed by the succeeding government. Also, he came back to Nigeria and nothing was done about it. I am not defending nobody. This UK parliament man was probably a child when this thing happened. We need strong proof to verify this actually happened. Verbal assertions is not enough. We were sure of what Obasanjo did. We had proof of what Abacha did. So let the proofs come out. In a bid to sound smart you end of coming across very ignorant and naive. So because the MP was probably a child when Gowon was miking the country dry means it nullifies what he says, right? |

Afikoo: Good morning Nairalanders. I sure know you all fine. I am writing this with heavy heart. I know we have super rich people here who rose from poverty to riches. This life isn't balance. Done with school. Been working as security administrator in my church and I earn 80k. I have beenplanning on getting married. Have met my fiance Parents, they were happy. I have engaged her she is happy. All of a sudden the elder brother who isn't around is angry that I haven't spoken to him about my intention. I have earlier tried his line severallly and it isnt going through. Had to chat him and he told me I am not serious that I should grow up. A bullet in my heart. Her mum has suddenly changed and is accusing me for not calling her always. This whole drama has gotten into my babe now she is talking about us suspending our marriage plan and try improving our income. (she is learning a skill)
I am fed up. Have suspended everything now. I have tried everything since I left school last year to improve my income. Apply for jobs here and there. Is just not cutting in. Please, share your experience on how you were able to get out of this average life as a Nigerian. Advise me and others still struggling to rise up. You can recommend jobs for me. I studied history and Diplomatic Studies. Have some certification in Leadership and human resource. Trust me, I can deliver on anything legal. I have the capacity, but haven't gotten the opportunity. Patiently reading. To be frank with you, she isn't meant for you. Just so you know doubling you current income may not even be deemed enough by her and her people. Go and get another girl and leave her alone. All that crap they gave you all comes down to $$ and they won't hesitate to toss you if a guy with a deeper pocket come knocking. The earlier you get this the better. |

ZIINI: You're right brov Other peoples talk should not determine someone's relocation But while reading the thread to me is like the man his exaggerating so I just wanna confirm . You know some people give us false info cause we ain't in their country and we don't know what's going on.you're correct anyways thanks ✌ You are like me(I ask truckloads if questions before making any move, to avoid stories ). But all in all, I think Canada is a fantastic country, and if you are stuck in Nigeria looking for a country that worth a bargain, look no more. My only issue with Canada is the harsh winters |

maternal: Just curious, do people pay bills in naija as well ? We do. But there is a difference , and the difference is: Canada; you enjoy what you pay for as public services are usually of high quality, e.g stable power, topnotch health care, decent infrastructure and so on. Nigeria; you hardly get the value of what you paid for as almost everything is substandard and mediocre Though no place is perfect and both countries have their pros and cons, I won't hesitate choosing Canada over Nigeria anyday, anytime. |
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Threatens To Sanction CNN Over Lekki Shootings Report by themaestro08(m): 2:52pm On Nov 19, 2020 |
BafanaBafana: The proof that the massacre took place is that CNN reported it. Very funny I must say. Even the haters aka Trump lovers are now cheering CNN. There was shooting at Lekki toll gate, no doubt about that, but the question is, who was killed? There has never been a time in this country where people are killed by the government and no family or friends can come out to say they were killed. This is the defence they put up when we ask them to tell us who was killed. Curious individuals even contributed money as reward for anyone who can come up with at least a verifiable identity of someone killed, all we hear is that the government also wants to kill them. Same people who were forcing the Buhari is dead and Buhari is a clone theory down our throats now wants is to believe that some unknown persons were massacred by the Nigerian government. You know the Nigerian army are notorious for carting away with dead bodies after brutalising them to avoid being implicated? Right? |
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Threatens To Sanction CNN Over Lekki Shootings Report by themaestro08(m): 2:50pm On Nov 19, 2020 |
rossniti: Shut up. Why do you trust CNN? You actually think they care about you? Mumu slave people. Go and watch their so called video evidence, and there is still NO EVIDENCE of soldiers shooting people at Lekki. No use una brain. Mumu slaves. You are literally the biggest fool I came across today . Who told you CNN and other giant media outlets like BBC, Aljazeera etc, doesn't have news reporters and correspondents worldwide? Your ignorance and stupidity reeks to high heavens. However, not even your ancestors can change the fact that the Nigerian army gruesomely massacred peaceful protesters in lekki on the 20th of October 2020, its on record, even Wikipedia published an article on it. The earlier you free yourself from bias and hypocrisy the better for you |

People especially girls should be careful about who they meet secretly. Your family members should be aware of all your movements pls. Mumu prophecy by an unscrupulous cleric believed by a gullible being. This is all shades of wrong |
