I've read your back and forth exchanges with with a couple of commenters up there with utter disdain , it's counterproductive and will in fact do more harm to you than good - will only get you offended and upset( which is the ultimate aim of some of these trolls anyway) , mess you up your mental health, and may even make you to feel disinterested about the thread. Travel / Re: Canada Hype And Travel Rush: Here Are Things You Need To Know by themaestro08(m): 6:18pm On Jan 11, 2021
Most of what you typed up there is misinformation at best and outright lies at worst which absolutely can easily be debunked.

The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating.

It's not deception, it's real. It's a decision a lot of people took and down the road they are thanking their stars they took the bold step. Now let me debunked your lies one after another cool

1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list.

The same Forbes published its list of African billionaires 2020 and you know what just four Nigerians are in the list out of twenty - Africa has just 20 people deemed to be called billionaires, while on the other hand, Canada alone has 44 billionaires shocked, twice that of Africa plus four. And its important to know that majority of these Canadian billionaires have foreign ancestry or are immigrants.

Nigeria with a population of 200+million has just four billionaires while Canada with 40million has 44 billionaires. Do the maths, connect the dots and stop being delusional.

And should we talk of the fact to make a fortune in Nigeria one has to make strong connections and cut corners, be neck-deeped in corruption practices and so on.

The vast majority of prospective immigrants aim of emigrating is not to be on Forbes list, neither do they aim to be millionaires, all what they are after is a good and effective system that rewards hardwork.

Source: Forbes, Wikipedia.

2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this.

Of India more than 20 million diaspora population more than 3/4 of them are in Western countries. Only few of them are in Africa due to numerous factors such as political instability and so on.

Source: Wikipedia

However, Despite Nigeria being way populous than Canada, the latter has way more middle class and millionaires than Nigeria. The vast majority of Nigerians are poor, the rest are struggling, the middle class are not even up to 5% of the total population.

3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour.

Again total lies. Nigeria ranks pathetically poor in ease of doing business index, close to bottom I think. Of the excelling countries 2/3 are Western countries. A start up company is much likely to thrive in a developed country like Canada than Nigeria due to obvious reasons.

4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived.

For a start, you earn way higher in Canada for the same job than in Nigeria. BTW, people look at the bigger picture when emigrating, its not all about money, how about a good system that answers 70-80% of your prayer point? I mean a fair and just system, where a child of a nobody can become somebody without connections? You only get that in a developed country liked Canada.

5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth.

It's not all about kids. Oneself matters and the easiest way to go about it is by dumping this shit hole cool

. 6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime.

Again a fat lie, the crime per capita of Lagos is way higher than New york, heck, its not even comparable.

7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check.

Last time I checked, America has more than 17 million millionaires, 614 billionaires and tens of millions of middle class cool.

The average American can afford the basic like decent healthcare, good education, basic tech gadgets, enjoys world class infrastructure and so on. Whereas, the average Nigerian is pathetically poor, barely afford 3 decent meals a day, manages a meagre salary and so on.

8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons.

To put the likes of Chile ,Brazil and Kuwait in the same pedestal with Canada in terms of quality of public services clearly shows you know clue what you are talking about.

Canada is categorized as a highly developed and a high income country whose quality of life is considered topnotch whereas the countries you mentioned are at best newly industrialized countries and at worst developing.

9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US.

When making comparisons you compare apples with apples not with oranges, to do otherwise is height of bias and double standard.

Wages are different likewise cost of living. An average Canadian earns 4- 5 × what an average Nigerian worker earns. That should sink in.

10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world.

You may think you drive home some point but truth is almost what you typed is gibberish and lies which can easily be debunked. In your effort to sound knowledgeable and wise you end up showcasing yourself as a dumb and unintelligent fellow. The earlier you wake up and smell the coffee the better for you.

my fellow Nigerians, whoever have the means to leave this country do so without hesitation. Unfortunate people like this guy will try to concort lies and half truths all in a bid to discourage and twart your plans, NEVER GIVE THEM THE CHANCE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

You're trying so hard but in vain to absolve our leaders of blame, typical of APC supporters, I guess that's the new narrative APC propaganda machine is selling to it's followers.

Leadership is everything in a society, leaders ensure that the institutions and systems works and punish violators as a deterrent.

The FG used its powers to close land boarders and people complied even though they don't like it.

Nigeria leaders since the 80s to date have failed, stop giving them excuses.

Institution aren't strong without people.
When people are resolute the institution will even become stronger.

when Buhari came out and got some judges arrested to preserve what is left of the judiciary,no be una dey cal am tyrant?
US and other countries institution were not strong on book,it is the people that put their feet down and said it must work.
Do we have that kind of resolution ? No
it is not how much you earn that makes you to be corrupt or not to be corrupt.
People in NNPC,CBN and other top government agencies earn more than enough yet they steal.
Some earn less at LG council and they did not steal Kobo.

My wife never fast track her NIN reg,she went there like every other person, but the forms were hoarded until someone told her that she won't get it done even if she comes 200 times except she paths with money.
it is the same stories all over the country

One of your undoing and biggest problem is you easily make baseless assumptions which is not cool to be honest.

So if a President arrest a judge I will labelling him a tyrant? Ridiculous! Besides, what clause in the constitution gives a president the powers to arrest a judge? What happena to separation of power? What happens to government Anti-corruption agencies? Do you even have a clue what you are talking about? angry, I doubt!

Besides, which resolution are you talking about? You think All Americans are corrupt-free and honest? Spoiler: the greatest con artist in history (Joseph Weil) is an American. In America you have the good and bad as in every country, but there are laws that governs and checkmate people lives - the authorities. If one commit an offence they will be arrested and charge to a Court of law, later they will get appropriate jail time according to their offence - no bribing, maneuvers or bending the law, why? The institutions there are strong and fit-for-purpose. While in Nigeria and other developing countries one can easily bend laws to suit them.

It astound me how you failed to grasp this simple concept

We are saying the same in different way and format, unfortunately you were even waiting for me to break down it for you completely.

The so called strong institution EXIST in Nigeria,it is the people that made them weak, Yes the same common man who claimed to be a victim of the system made the system handicap.

I will cite few examples for you here and if you still want to contend that i wish you good luck.
NIMC was set up for everyone to get on it for proper planning and security, your Common Man who claimed to be a victim are the one in charge of operations, they disabled the system to make people queue up so they can fleece them,it is on record that those who are getting NIN pay nothing less than ₦2k, my wife paid ₦5k to have it done, this was even before the directives.

You can't get Nigeria passport with ease, even for those of us who have been on our 4th cycle of passport, renewal is always war,Drivers licences won't make it out until you grease palms.
Are you paying to Buhari family or the governor's family? it is your brother and my sisters who decided to set up barricades for their fellow country men to make things difficult and we all think the system will work or the institution will be strong?

Police is a very strong institution, those officers are Nigerians, they got employed and were given training and pay salary, try and have anything to do at the police station, you will be required to pay bribe.

All facet's of our life is riddle with corruption, are all these facet's populated by political class?
China you referenced is able to develop to that point because their leaders are AUTHORITARIAN ditto United States government, try and do anyhow and see what will happen within seconds,if such a law should be promulgated here or anyone trying to enforce it una go come out for twitter dey protest.
i don't know your age,but if you are old enough to witnessed Buhari regime as military president you would have an idea of what I am saying.

Go and check how Nigerian ran down South Africa,go to the US and see their reaction towards Nigerians, European Nations have special laws and ways of deali6with us when compared to other African Nations.

Yes our infrastructural development is not good enough, but the little we are managing are been destroyed or vandalized at any slightest provocation,Check how many people were sent to bankruptcy during EndSars protest,How about public amenities that were destroyed?

Citizens of Those countries you intend to run to do not support evil, they protect themselves and the Institution, that is why the whole place is progressive and peaceful.

Nothing will change until when we change our ways.

You are still revolving round one point - inclusive institutions.

Your analogy of your wife fast-tracking her NIN card underlies this perfectly. You see, In Germany or Switzerland or any other developed countries, you can't cut corners, even if you do its gonna be tough, difficult and perilous. There are institutions saddled with the responsibility of holding Office holders accountable and responsible for their actions. Besides they are well paid and well taken care off. A US police
Officer earns more than a commissioner of police of a state. It tells you more, and more importantly corruption is seriously frown upon in societies.

Former south Korean president is currently serving 23 years jail time for abuse of power and gross misconduct. Unthinkable in a developing countries particularly Nigeria. Why? Very weak institutions.

I can go on and on but I think you should understand where I'm coming from.

Dude what are you talking about? A lot of commenters up there have give good arguments, superior to yours, but surprisingly, you still are not getting the point.

The simple answer to your initial question is quality of life - Money is not everything, that 3m that looks huge to you is nothing compared to the topnotch quality of life you get in a developed country.

However, as someone said(in this thread), "inclusive institutions" shapes a country, and is primarily what makes or break it. Take it or leave it". It is well known fact. There are lots of podcast and books by experts explaining this phenomenon among them is "why are some nations rich" by the BBC world service, experts compared Norway with seria Leone, why is the former rich and the latter poor? There is a town in North America called Nogalles, half of it is in Mexico while the other in USA, the disparity in wealth and quality of life between these two sides is striking - the half in US is more prosperous, safer and offers more opportunities while reverse is the case for its southern side. But Why? Despite them sharing same culture and traditions? It all boils down to good institutions which oversee and govern the lives of people living in that particular city/ country.

It has little to nothing to do with individual character as you insinuated (totally wrong), far from it, nor religiosity.

I hope you get my point.

Please go back to school, I don't have the strength to start schooling a stark illiterate. Also learn to read and understand properly before dumping your frustration on me.

I never said pills weren't effective I said taking them excessively can lead to harmful side effects. I even gave you a particular drug which is clearly written that you mustn't take it more than twice in a month. Meaning regardless of how many times the girl has sex in the month the chemical components of the drug she took once or twice, can sustain her and eliminate the sperm cells deposited in her vagina.

Sometimes fear can make some girls ignore the warning and take more than the required dosage, thereby exposing their womb to possible damage.

Some worm medicines are like that, the instruction written clearly is that you take it every 6months, that's the required dosage, taking more than what is written will definitely lead to complications.

Next time learn to read. It won't cost you anything.

The mumu say "worm medicine" cheesy, I am convinced beyond doubt you are a fool, an ignorant MF. For the umpteenth time your ignorance is appalling and repugnant. Learn before speaking, it will do you a lot of good.

[s][/s]You said it's 91% effective. I asked you to name any contraceptive drug that's 91% effective you can't.

Stop issuing out advise when you can't back it up with proof.

Those things are tash. Taking a drug to kill a sperm cell in your womb is as dangerous as drinking a full cup of salt to cure stomach ache. Of course the salt solution will work at first, but when it becomes constant, the side effects will be distastrous, that's how the contraceptives is. It definitely will work but when it becomes a routine, your womb becomes weakened and unable to retain a pregnancy.

That's why some of them like "Azurette" will clearly tell you to take it once or twice in a month. Cos they won't be held responsible when you loose your womb due to overdose [s][/s].

After pill and plan-b one step are highly effective. You are literally a fool(no apology) for saying things you know nothing about. Educate your ignorant ass, save your energy and never in your dumb life quote me to say rubbish .
