Petyprincess: You know what? I'm your low-key fan - a silent reader and a huge supporter of your rhetoric. However, one thing I want you to understand is to always say less than necessary - KNOW WHEN AND WHO TO IGNORE. I've read your back and forth exchanges with with a couple of commenters up there with utter disdain , it's counterproductive and will in fact do more harm to you than good - will only get you offended and upset( which is the ultimate aim of some of these trolls anyway) , mess you up your mental health, and may even make you to feel disinterested about the thread. We've seen this play out time and again. You should not reply anyone - some people here are nothing short of trolls, and the best way to put them in check is to not feed them with the attention they desperately seek. Enjoy your stay in Mauritius, and keep us updated as the days goes bye, stay safe and good luck. 3 Likes |

Travel / Re: Canada Hype And Travel Rush: Here Are Things You Need To Know by themaestro08(m): 6:18pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
Most of what you typed up there is misinformation at best and outright lies at worst which absolutely can easily be debunked. The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating. It's not deception, it's real. It's a decision a lot of people took and down the road they are thanking their stars they took the bold step. Now let me debunked your lies one after another 1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list. The same Forbes published its list of African billionaires 2020 and you know what just four Nigerians are in the list out of twenty - Africa has just 20 people deemed to be called billionaires, while on the other hand, Canada alone has 44 billionaires , twice that of Africa plus four. And its important to know that majority of these Canadian billionaires have foreign ancestry or are immigrants. Nigeria with a population of 200+million has just four billionaires while Canada with 40million has 44 billionaires. Do the maths, connect the dots and stop being delusional. And should we talk of the fact to make a fortune in Nigeria one has to make strong connections and cut corners, be neck-deeped in corruption practices and so on. The vast majority of prospective immigrants aim of emigrating is not to be on Forbes list, neither do they aim to be millionaires, all what they are after is a good and effective system that rewards hardwork. Source: Forbes, Wikipedia. 2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this. Of India more than 20 million diaspora population more than 3/4 of them are in Western countries. Only few of them are in Africa due to numerous factors such as political instability and so on. Source: Wikipedia However, Despite Nigeria being way populous than Canada, the latter has way more middle class and millionaires than Nigeria. The vast majority of Nigerians are poor, the rest are struggling, the middle class are not even up to 5% of the total population. 3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour. Again total lies. Nigeria ranks pathetically poor in ease of doing business index, close to bottom I think. Of the excelling countries 2/3 are Western countries. A start up company is much likely to thrive in a developed country like Canada than Nigeria due to obvious reasons. 4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived. For a start, you earn way higher in Canada for the same job than in Nigeria. BTW, people look at the bigger picture when emigrating, its not all about money, how about a good system that answers 70-80% of your prayer point? I mean a fair and just system, where a child of a nobody can become somebody without connections? You only get that in a developed country liked Canada. 5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth. It's not all about kids. Oneself matters and the easiest way to go about it is by dumping this shit hole . 6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime. Again a fat lie, the crime per capita of Lagos is way higher than New york, heck, its not even comparable. 7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check. Last time I checked, America has more than 17 million millionaires, 614 billionaires and tens of millions of middle class . The average American can afford the basic like decent healthcare, good education, basic tech gadgets, enjoys world class infrastructure and so on. Whereas, the average Nigerian is pathetically poor, barely afford 3 decent meals a day, manages a meagre salary and so on. 8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons. To put the likes of Chile ,Brazil and Kuwait in the same pedestal with Canada in terms of quality of public services clearly shows you know clue what you are talking about. Canada is categorized as a highly developed and a high income country whose quality of life is considered topnotch whereas the countries you mentioned are at best newly industrialized countries and at worst developing. 9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US. When making comparisons you compare apples with apples not with oranges, to do otherwise is height of bias and double standard. Wages are different likewise cost of living. An average Canadian earns 4- 5 × what an average Nigerian worker earns. That should sink in. 10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world. You may think you drive home some point but truth is almost what you typed is gibberish and lies which can easily be debunked. In your effort to sound knowledgeable and wise you end up showcasing yourself as a dumb and unintelligent fellow. The earlier you wake up and smell the coffee the better for you. my fellow Nigerians, whoever have the means to leave this country do so without hesitation. Unfortunate people like this guy will try to concort lies and half truths all in a bid to discourage and twart your plans, NEVER GIVE THEM THE CHANCE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This Op must be high on Daura gworo, the same shithole you are defending is the same one where doctors will expect you to carry a bullet or knife wound and go to a police station to get a report before they begin to treat you if for some reason you are attacked. Please leave the people that want to leave the country alone, for everyone that decides to leave there are some moving the other way to Nigeria. |

Rossntti: Nonsense! Is this the reason why you are always on travel section 24/7, disparaging White people and their countries, discouraging prospective immigrants, making fruitless arguments and striking back senselessly at anyone who oppose your idiotic views and opinions? All because of a shanty town that can't even boast of clean tap water or even stable electricity? Initially I took you seriously but I've realized how much of a fraud you are. Solatium: One of your undoing and biggest problem is you easily make baseless assumptions which is not cool to be honest. So if a President arrest a judge I will labelling him a tyrant? Ridiculous! Besides, what clause in the constitution gives a president the powers to arrest a judge? What happena to separation of power? What happens to government Anti-corruption agencies? Do you even have a clue what you are talking about? , I doubt! Besides, which resolution are you talking about? You think All Americans are corrupt-free and honest? Spoiler: the greatest con artist in history (Joseph Weil) is an American. In America you have the good and bad as in every country, but there are laws that governs and checkmate people lives - the authorities. If one commit an offence they will be arrested and charge to a Court of law, later they will get appropriate jail time according to their offence - no bribing, maneuvers or bending the law, why? The institutions there are strong and fit-for-purpose. While in Nigeria and other developing countries one can easily bend laws to suit them. It astound me how you failed to grasp this simple concept 3 Likes |

Solatium: You are still revolving round one point - inclusive institutions. Your analogy of your wife fast-tracking her NIN card underlies this perfectly. You see, In Germany or Switzerland or any other developed countries, you can't cut corners, even if you do its gonna be tough, difficult and perilous. There are institutions saddled with the responsibility of holding Office holders accountable and responsible for their actions. Besides they are well paid and well taken care off. A US police Officer earns more than a commissioner of police of a state. It tells you more, and more importantly corruption is seriously frown upon in societies. Former south Korean president is currently serving 23 years jail time for abuse of power and gross misconduct. Unthinkable in a developing countries particularly Nigeria. Why? Very weak institutions. I can go on and on but I think you should understand where I'm coming from. 4 Likes |

Solatium: Dude what are you talking about? A lot of commenters up there have give good arguments, superior to yours, but surprisingly, you still are not getting the point. The simple answer to your initial question is quality of life - Money is not everything, that 3m that looks huge to you is nothing compared to the topnotch quality of life you get in a developed country. However, as someone said(in this thread), "inclusive institutions" shapes a country, and is primarily what makes or break it. Take it or leave it". It is well known fact. There are lots of podcast and books by experts explaining this phenomenon among them is "why are some nations rich" by the BBC world service, experts compared Norway with seria Leone, why is the former rich and the latter poor? There is a town in North America called Nogalles, half of it is in Mexico while the other in USA, the disparity in wealth and quality of life between these two sides is striking - the half in US is more prosperous, safer and offers more opportunities while reverse is the case for its southern side. But Why? Despite them sharing same culture and traditions? It all boils down to good institutions which oversee and govern the lives of people living in that particular city/ country. It has little to nothing to do with individual character as you insinuated (totally wrong), far from it, nor religiosity. I hope you get my point. 5 Likes |

It boils down to which suit you best. Keep in mind there are many contraception pharmaceutical companies out there and quality differs. |
