proffemi: Smile. We have many problems, but corruption is the one problem that undercuts ANY effort to solve other problems. Beyond fighting corruption, we need evidence that our president is able to headhunt great minds and give them the "space" to perform. OBJ was a better headhunter than GEJ. However, GEJ has not done shabbily in that regard either (I'm looking at you, Minister of Agriculture). Unfortunately, with corruption still enthroned, all their efforts have been akin to water into a bottomless pit. I believe GMB would also be a good headhunter. Combine that with my perception of him as a man with strength of character, I'm leaning in that direction (that's just me, mind you).
My problems with Buhari: I fear he could be sectional in his outlook. While I do not doubt his street smarts, I wonder about his ability to express himself. "Islamization" (whatever that means) is not one of my fears (would you bet that under GEJ, the entire north would not be lost to insurgents in 4 years?). Also, the North-South issue does not matter to me (when are we going to grow up as a people?!).
All the best as you make your choice bro! Buhari will never be in a position to fight corruption even if elected, instead what would happen is that government under him would be fictionalized. He would be a captive, just like Abacha, of some young Northern elements with king-size grudge against the liberalization, privatization and commercialization initiatives of his predecessors. |

If a job is offered to you tomorrow would you ask your employer to meet your school for your certificate? Are you not expected, as a mentally sane person, to have certificate your original with you? |

Politics › Re: Buhari Certificate Saga An Assault On The Military - Lai Mohammed. by Themandator: 10:49am On Jan 03, 2015 |
Onmason: In my considered opinion,1.Has the military denied being in possession of Buhari's certificates?
Answer : The military or any other institution can't be with your originals... Abi when you apply for job na your original you submit to your company... No be photocopy you give your employer?
2.why is the military mute over the allegation Answer: they have spoken in line with answer to your first question
3. Can Buhari lie against the military with impunity? Answer : his lie if it turns out to be lies is against the state and shall be dealt with accordingly
4. Could this be one of PDP's usual desperate and despicable political manoeuvres? Answer : maybe but the best way to end it is by presenting it to INEC as required by law
5. Is it possible for Buhari to have risen to the rank of General (acclaimed one of the best, by an independent international entity of no mean repute), without having an O'level certificate?
Answer: considering our past few yes. A photojournalist with NNPC from the north once emerg3d the MD of NNPC Warri.... In the past anything was possible if you came from the right region and ethnic group
6. Is it not blatantly CHEAP to dwell on ordinary certificates when we know that paper qualification is DEFINITELY not enough to make a good leader? Answer :submit a bill for amendments to the electoral act to abolish any form of paper qualifications as part of criteria for elective office... For now, it is a requirement
7. Does gej's Phd make him a leader to reckon with? Answer: this is a subjective question.. To me it makes him a leader to be reckoned with
8. Could Sambo have ACTUALY lost his certificates to fire?, when? Where? How? Mind you, in the case of FIRE one cannot make enquiries or maybe you should enter fire and ask it some questions! Nobody can LIE against the Nigerian institutions ry with impunity. The fact that they have not responded to the claim or delayed to respond to such a weighty claim should send the biggest slowpoke THINKING. For goodness sake, are some people so unfortunately daft? Chai! Answer certificates are issued by institutions who are the custodians. So long as the institution is known and the records are available, Sambo is good to go, besides, he must June course Mates.. Finally, Emotions beclouds reasons... Keep a hold on your emotions as it is a major disqualification for greatness and leadership |

CaliOsi: Some Nigerians are just funny, all through the year(2014) electrical supply was nothing to write home about, now that the election is about to come, suddenly electricity is now stable. Be wise!! I don't wanna enjoy electricity only during election periods, I want to enjoy it all through the year! The time for CHANGE is here... Power supply is getting better because the government is doing something about the power grid.... Endeavor to keep PHCN staffs as friends.... I was told by one that we are yet to enjoy anything..... Work is going on to be completed by March on some power lines and that calabar North has been rerouted to a new power station in the East while the southern part is to be hooked to the new itu station.... A substation at tinapa is to be fired by March upon completion of work on the grid |

Here in my area of calabar [Scanobo] there has been a very remarkable improvement in power supply.... This is an area that used to go for days and even weeks without supply.... I still have 300 litres of pms stored in my house.
Now we now enjoy upto 18hrs.... Confidence that there always be power supply has increased.. |

Saw larimo: For me, Whatsapp is a simple and easy-to-use app, readily available as long as your contacts use whatsapp. Its level of security is fairand privacy is reduced. However, you can block numbers, which makes it interesting. Presently no calls available. BBM, is know for its better security and control because it was built for organisations. A bit more complicated with its PIN system. Messages can be retracted.
I prefer Whatsapp for its simplicity and ease. Once they introduce the calls module like BBM or viber, they would win completely! Even without what you mentioned they have won in the social media war.... Direct download from playstore alone is over 500,000,000. |

You don't know Akwa Ibom state.... And you imagine that OPEC chairmanship is Buhari's for the asking... And even at that, the chairman can unilaterally withdraw oil supplies huh.... The position of chairman of OPEC is not that of a sole administrstor... Not a task force. Next time you try to simplify a conundrum like oil price think about the relationship between Saudi Arabia and United States of America. |

Sacramento4real: if you are a Deltan or resides in Delta state, then you should be abreast with the latest happening in the state. There has been a cold war between the Former governor,Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Governor Uduaghan.I put it to you that its not out of love for the Anioma or Delta north that Uduaghan had insisted that the next governor of the state should come from that senatorial district. If it was,why did he dumped Tony Obuh, his anointed candidate at the last minute and projected an Urhobo man in the person of Mr. David Edevbie?Yet all these while,he has insisted that Urhobo shouldn't produce the next Governor. All these while,Uduaghan had wanted to destroy the political structure of Ibori. He knew those politicians that are dire-hard supporters of Ibori. He never wanted such people to be the next Governor. He went as far as bribing the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) with 1 million dollars to support an urhobo Aspirant,in the person of Mr. David Edevbie at the die minute,Cause he is not a member of the Ibori's political family. But trust the Urhobos, they knew all along his plans. They showed him that they aren't fools.Though some of them voted for his aspirant, some others voted for Senator Okowa.iT was from his London prison that Ibori was making calls to his loyalists to line up behind Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.Uduaghan's aspirant came a distance second.Uduaghan is an ingrate who needs to go to jail.As it is now,he is politically finished in delta state. He can no longer contest any election in delta state again. He has no support base!No political structure! No good will from even his own itsekiri ethnic group.I put it to you that Ibori has the interest of the Anioma at heart even more than Uduaghan. Why did he opt for an Urhobo aspirant at the dieing minute? While he dumped the Anioma people,Ibori picked them up.So now,who should be considered to be a man of equity between Uduaghan and Ibori? In a free and fair election,Uduaghan cannot win a senate election. He is so unpopular in his state.Even his ethnic group has told him the the Ibori's administration favoured the more than his own.So what are we talking about. When your homssejects you, what do you expect from outsiders? Even when Ibori supported Uduaghan, Okowa defeated him but was prevailed upon to allow him run....His compensation was his been made the ssh |

It all started after we observed Subhi prayer. After the prayers, I decided to brush up what I read the previous night since I'm having exams by 9:00am. Upon opening my book, I heard a very loud gunshot and before you say jack, everybody was out of the hostel.
Some even had fractures and other injuries during the escape. We all thought that they are going to kill us like they did in Gubja. but fortunately and unfortunately, their target was Mobile police base.
The boys succeeded in penetrating the base where they killed many people, though some of the mobile police ran away from the base and escaped with us.
Let me make something clear, honestly and sincerely, Boko Haram are better armed and motivated than our men in arm, because even from the gun sound, one can identify our gallant men and the terrorists. They attacked a mobile police base in their hundreds from different directions.. With military assault rifles... It is different from been better armed than our security forces |
