Below is the summary of the debate: On security, Kwankwaso, Abiola, and Okowa spoke out of point on the Kaduna train attack. The question was specific, instead they spoke in general about their manifestos on security. Only Obi addressed the question directly as to how he would've responded to that particular attack as Commander in Chief. I liked Kwankwaso's comment that no one can win the election by running on tribsl and religious sentiments. Dino Melaye's question, not surprisingly, was a jibe at the APC but he directed it to Obi, probably because APC was not represented. Kwankwaso of course hit the APC for their absence. And Obi drew an applause the way he tackled Dino's question, even though the rules forbade applauses. In their responses to the corruption claim of bandits that politicians steal and also appropriate for themselves national security structures, only Obi was clear about his position as an uncorrupted person in office. I'm from Delta. Okowa of course lied about taking development to oil producing communities to reduce insecurity. He didn't. I live in Warri. His drawback was that he was standing as proxy and spoke for himself instead of Atiku. A panelist, Jibrin (or Jubril?), raised a question about 6m arms in the hands of bandits. Such statements baffle me. Who went to count them? Abiola shocked me when he said that the National Security Council has not met since 1999! So what does that constitutional body exist for? Talk about wasting resources! Obi dazzled of course when he addressed the number of policemen and its gross inadequacy. The man has an impressive knack for facts and figures. The fact checker upheld his claim as true. A claim by Abiola was debunked by the fact checker buy he stood his ground. Kwankwaso didn't fare too well under fact checking. Okowa didn't present facts that needed checking. On the economic issues, Obi was clearest on what he intended to do to deal with the listed ailments. He spoke first and others latched on to his points by and large. Obi frequently speaking first tended to make the proceedings one sided, in my opinion. On Jubril's worry that the billions candidates are investing in their campaigns would mean an attempt to recoup their investment when they win, apart from saying the PRP was not investing billions, I really didn't understand Abiola's answers. Kwankwaso did not address the concern either. He simply said the issue didn't apply to the NNPP. Obi adopted that of course. But the reality is that billions are being spent. Okowa reiterated that. Question is, how will they be recovered? He didnt address that. It is becoming increasingly obvious that Tinubu would not be attending these fora. Either he has nothing to offer or he lacks confidence. Either way he's not fit for the high office of President. Another unavailable president will be a disaster. On process, I think applauses should not be banned. They're the only way to acknowledge good points and assess the candidates. Secondly, one minute is certainly not enough to do justice to any question. Time keepers appeared to be out of sync with their job. Finally, known national ruffians and rascals like Dino Melaye should not be allowed in these fora. They just can't keep themselves in check. They're disrupters. Obi had to call him to order when he interrupted proceedings to allege that certain questioners in the hall were 'Obi people.' Every candidate had his supporters in the hall. He obviously came to the townhall with an agenda. He's a disgrace. Overall, a good outing by the Arise TV. #copied |
ur vote is just 1 tinubu doesn't need it...goan sleep..[/quote...and there are millions of us with such 1 vote; I'm sure Tinubu still doesn't need them. In fact, Nigerians deserve the kind of leaders they get |
I was exploring my whatsapp settings recently, and I got to the language settings with the hope of changing to any of the three major nigerian languages; I was shocked to find only Hausa listed. Does it mean that Hausa is now the only Nigerian indigenous language recognised globally? I'm confused and worried. Guys, what do you say?

The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has reinstated 129 public primary school teachers, unlawfully sacked by the state government between 2011 and 2019. This was made known by the executive chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. According to him, the State Executive Council (SEC) had approved that a total of 129 officers wrongly dismissed by the Oyo State government between 2011 and 2019 for reinstatement, subject to agreeing not to demand for arrears payment for the period they were away which the state converted to leave of absence. Adeniran appreciated the governor for his kindness and selfless consideration in administering the pacesetter state. He said that the recent reinstatement of the state’s 129 school teachers was a symbolic achievement that could not be neglected. “This is a plus for the education sector. “Apart from being an addition to the dwindling numbers of teachers in the public primary sector, thousands of family dependants who have been subjected to untold economic hardship due to the layoff of their breadwinners will now have a new lease of life,” Mr Adeniran said. He, therefore, called on teachers in the state to reciprocate Mr Makinde’s gesture, through a commitment to duties and redouble their dedication to work. https://www.intelregion.com/news/oyo-governor-seyi-makinde-bows-to-pressure-recalls-129-school-teachers-sacked-unlawfully/

Medical experts in the house, kindly help with this question. How long can it take an unburied placenta to totally decompose after delivery, if the parents didn't bury or dispose accordingly? I am aware of a case where the parents just left it in a sealed plastic containers, only for them to find bloody liquid and some small figments after 18 days. Is there a cause for worry? Kindly help push this to front page for larger audience. Thanks. Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44 |
Praxis758:No offense meant please, but do you know the meaning of frugal? Frugal means to be thrifty, i.e. not extravagant. I guess you had another word in mind, may be brutal. |

I have been here bro. It will drain you emotionally. My story was similar to yours except that we work in different departments. She is a Top-level Manager while I am a Mid-level Manager . Our romance story started effortlessly. I guess she's been noticing and appreciating my dress sense around the company; also, people talked about me being very sound at what we do, and I guess that was the attraction. She's in her mid 40s, a couple of years older than I am. She gave the green light and to be honest she was irresistible. That's how we clicked. It started so beautifully but after some months, she started acting like she was my superior and would want to order me around. Initially, I was doing it for "love" but after a while, I saw she was taking advantage of her office seniority. She's also better off financially though, but at some point I started standing up to her bossy attitude, and that's the beginning of the end......... Let me not bore you with the several regrettable situations that came along. I thank God that I still retain my job sha. Women ehn! Hmmm! Office romance get as e be o. So @OP, I will advice you resist the urge and just maintain a healthy friendship with her. |
Cristiano Ronaldo at Man Utd: Goals, assists, results & fixtures in 2021-22 Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United in the summer was undoubtedly one of the biggest transfer stories in the world of football. As such, the Portugal international's performances for the Old Trafford club during the 2021/22 season will be under the microscope as the world awaits to see whether lightning can indeed strike twice. After a summer of constant speculation over a possible transfer move, Ronaldo ultimately left Juventus to return to Old Trafford 12 years after his initial departure in 2009. The 36-year-old remains one of the most prolific players in world football, with his return to England causing United fans to dream of their returning hero leading them back to silverware. Ronaldo, though, was unable to lift Juventus to achieve Champions League glory during his three years in Italy and some have questioned the merits of United’s move given the forward’s huge pay packet and age. Whatever happens, the performances of Ronaldo are set to be a huge talking point during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign. Ronaldo made his second debut for United against Newcastle on September 11, 2021. It was a dream day for the Portugal star as he scored twice in a 4-1 win at Old Trafford. He made his first Champions League appearance of the season on September 14 against Young Boys and scored a goal. However, he was frustrated to be denied a penalty and was later substituted, with 10-man United ultimately beaten 2-1. And Ronaldo continued his incredible start to life back at Man Utd by scoring for a third game in a row at West Ham. The veteran equalised in the first half from close range in an eventual 2-1 win. Ronaldo sat out the EFL Cup defeat against West Ham on September 22 as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to give him some much-needed rest ahead of a busy period ahead. He returned for the Premier League fixture against Aston Villa at Old Trafford and for the first time since his return was unable to find the net as Solskjaer's side slipped to a shock 1-0 defeat. However, Ronaldo bounced back in emphatic fashion in the Champions League clash against Villarreal on September 29. The Portuguese legend dispatched the ball home deep into injury time to clinch a 2-1 win at Old Trafford. CR7 was surprisingly named on the bench for Man Utd's Premier League fixture with Everton. He would eventually come on just before the hour mark, but was unable to inspire the Red Devils to anything more than a 1-1 draw, with Sir Alex Ferguson caught on camera questioning the decision to leave the forward out. Ronaldo was back in the starting XI for an away match against Leicester in the Premier League, but was unable to find the back of the net as Man Utd lost 4-2 away from home, a result that piled pressure on Solskjaer. The pressure was eased in the next game, though, as Ronaldo crowned a brilliant comeback with a winner nine minutes from time against Atalanta. United had trailed 2-0 at half time, but Ronaldo headed home to win the game 3-2. Ronaldo's next match was a humiliating experience as Man Utd were thrashed 5-0 at home by Liverpool in the Premier League. Cristiano had a goal disallowed in the second half. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job in danger, Ronaldo eased the pressure on his boss by scoring a fantastic opener in a 3-0 away win at Tottenham. He also grabbed an assist for Edinson Cavani. As if he hadn't done enough for his manager, Ronaldo then stepped up with a brace to spare Man Utd's blushes in a 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the Champions League group stages. Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Premier League Player of the Month for September, while Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has won the Manager of the Month award. Ronaldo has claimed the Player of the Month award for the fifth time in his career after making a fine start to his second spell at Old Trafford. He scored five goals in six appearances - including three goals in the league in September - to win the award ahead of Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger, Allan Saint-Maximin of Newcastle, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Watford's Ismaila Sarr. He scored twice on his debut against Newcastle at Old Trafford, and followed that up with a goal during United's dramatic win at West Ham. Reacting to the news, Ronaldo posted on Twitter: "Proud to be elected Player Of The Month among so many great players in the Premier League. "Thanks to all my team-mates at Man United, couldn't have done it without them. Let's keep working hard and the results will come!" Ronaldo's team-mates have spoken of his impact off as well as on the pitch, with Jesse Lingard saying: "He's been brilliant. "He's brought so much to the team. The leadership factor, he wants to win in training, he wants to win in games and he wants to win trophies, which is the main thing. He's great to be around to watch what he does. "You can learn so many things from him. He's one of the best players in the world. To have him back home is perfect for us at the moment. "He's really humble. He's a positive person. To be learning different things off the field as well as on it has been really good. I think he can really help out the team this season." To start with, there is no such expression as 0/0. It does not exist, or better still, it is indeterminate (to use appropriate mathematical term). Now, on the right hand side, why did you apply difference of 2 squares to the numerator but then decided to factorise the denominator? Because, if you hadn't done that, you would have ended up at 1/1 giving you 1 as the result on the RHS. This goes again to prove the inconsistency and indeterminate nature of the expression on the LHS. In summary, you haven't proved nothing! You have only played some pun on the figures. These are the kind of jokes we play back in school. A case of saying 1+1 = 10, if you work in modulo 2. It's all for fun but not necessarily correct. |

Amotolongbo:You obviously know little or nothing about education. The teacher has the duty of assessing both the cognitive and affective domain of the students. It is his duty to pass appropriate and correct judgment on both. However, in reality, the form teachers are usually asked to make comments on the affective domain of a child while the principal comments on the cognitive domain based on the academic records of the child. |
Mr Sam, I must say I appreciate your sincerity and high level of professionalism. I was a bit skeptical initially, but then decided to take the risk. Your work ethic is unparalleled. I hope we could partner in some way in future. Once again, thanks a bunch. I am the guy you helped with the SDA publication from Ib. |
slawormiir:Your living legend has not scored a single goal from Open Play in the Champions League this season. All his 4 goals have come from the penalty spot. |
Northurmate:Your ignorance and hypocrisy stink to high heavens. Are the southerners in the north killing their hosts and destroying their means of livelihood? If you can't answer this question, then keep the f**k shut |

wakaman:The point you're missing is that only the Hausa/Fulani wants the continuance of the entity Nigeria. Everybody else wants out |
This is the fault of PDP's 16 years of bad governance! Femi Adesina, over to you. |
HBB1:Full grown adults have been dying from various illnesses ranging from cardiovascular failures, asthma, cancer, MALARIA, and all sorts of seemingly mild illnesses. Speaking of Immunity, there is no known vaccine against malaria world over. So, I don't understand as you implied. In any rate, I hardly argue with people here, and my point is not to discredit the existence of covid 19 and the accompanying death. I only quoted you when you apparently implied that adults couldn't have died from malaria, stressing that they must have died only from Covid 19. No hard feelings bro. |
HBB1:You can check online sir, which disease has killed the most number of people worldwide in the last 100 years. Emeritus?
|
HBB1:You mean full grown Nigerian men have never been dying before the outbreak of covid? This your logic is illogical sir. |
