boynigeria:11. So true! I told my best friend I'll like to get married before I'm 28 if I have my way and his first response was ," Kaycee, you dey mad? No rush enter nonsense o!". 14. I lost a family member three years ago and my friend's only way of showing empathy was for us to go have a drink on his account. GUYS...WE CAN BE SO WEIRD! |
derrick333:No, he's Ronaldo. |
cococandy:@Cococandy @Mizmycoli: I think karma is about justice/retribution - the results arising from our actions or inactions on this terraforma. I know a lot of folks would dismiss it as just figments of the "warped" imaginations of religious adherents but the fact is it isn't. Even atheists can't dispute this. According to one of Newton's laws (of motion),it is stated that ," For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction". Simply put (in this case), for every ACTION there is a REPERCUSSION. THIS IS PURE SCIENCE. |
lordhugo:Finally, you 'ran' faster than TERRY G! |
You meet each other online, you hit it off. You chat at length about everything and anything. You start ignoring every other person to focus on your conversations. You both find each other physically and mentally appealing. Your curiosity becomes heightened. "I need to meen the son of Mark in person". "Mz.Nelly seems to complement me". But the son of Mark isn't making the moves so you decide to take the bull by the horn. My missy was subtle about hers. She's a 200 level student in my school so after weeks of chatting online and on the phone (we met on my school's Facebook group), she asked if I'll be attending UniUyo bonfire night. I said 'yes' and she told me she would too though her friend wouldn't so she'll be all by herself. I read inbetween the lines - it was a subtle invitation. She is quite egoistic so I know having to ask me out wasn't an easy task. I took it from there. Long story short: we met, held hands and had our first kiss. We've been dating since then. |
buygala:Admit it dude, it's either you both are starcrossed or you are 'friends' who benefit each other more, SEXUALLY. |
daviyjones:@Alberto2k: Son of Obahiagbon? Just carving a niche for myself. @Ronald4lif: While at it make it a point of duty to learn a word or two daily. @Daviyjones: I certainly wouldn't elucidate further on every mini psychoanalytic detail I suppose I've observed about the personas behind every moniker in this section (even even I had all the time in the world to spare). Suffice to say, I am not a stalker and wouldn't want to come accross as one. Top of the morning to you all. |
I'm keeping tabs on this thread. For minutes on end I was cocooned by the directness of the words I read in your diary. |
MzNelly:Luckily for you, mother nature has beckoned. It's been drizzling all evening and I've had to make do with the monotonous sound of rain drops dripping into a porcelain plate just outside my window (even though it's been soothing). Mother nature, why has she called me yet? Still expectant. |
MzNelly:Intimidate? Humour me but I have this inkling you'd try to hold your own against mine and still not do a piss-poor job while at it. P.S: I modified my immediate previous post to satisfactorily (I guess) answer the question. |
MzNelly:We (you and I) have been communicating well-enough, haven't we? Luckily for me, I am close to females who aren't fickle and whose level of reasoning shoots past the half-way mark so that in itself truncates the possibility of any communication gap. Romanticism might me learnt but never bestowed. I suppose my expression of endearments has and would still have the same effect as the sun kissing the petals of a rose into unveiling at dawn - gentle and heated but elucidating a response gesture from the reciept of my endearments. |
missclasssy:About the highlighted: Good to see that you took the correction on the other thread. To Orijin101 and his friends: Why despise anyone whose command of the anglo lingua is above yours? You can't blame your bibliophobia on we sesquipedalians, can you? I'd rather a troll (according to you) whose use of syntax, semantics and spellings are up to standard than a 'non-troll' who truncates all of the rules of (type-)written English language. Find a valid reason to dispute her comment(s) but not on the account of her being grandiloquent. |
MzNelly:More often than not? Positive. I reckon acquaintances find it peculiarly amusing at first but with time they accept it as commonplace. Then again, what's the essence of perusing the English lexicograph if it doesn't reflect in one's vocabulary? |
MzNelly:That question smirks of irony 'cause, like my moniker suggests, I am MARK's son. Just out of uncurtailed curiosity: Who is Phillip? |
MzNelly:Missy, what has this son of Mark opined in his previous comment which neccesitated your exclamatory reaction? Wasn't it elucidative enough? |
What's the criterion for adjudging their posts as hilarious? Tosyne2much's posts smirk of sarcasm but not necessarily hilarity. Ronald4lif comes off as a guy who broods more often than not. His brand of romanticism is borne out deep ratiocinations as against spontaneity which is the basic requisite for making hilarious comments. Alberto2k leaves one undecided since he juxtaposes his hilarity with anti-societal assertions but more often than not his posts are hilarious. |
GEJ till Buhari changes his bad accent! |
Hate if you will, cast aspersions if you like but one thing the whole country can't deny is: UYO ROCKS! #iRepUyo #MostPeacefulCity #TouristAttraction #ProudlyIbibio #ThePromiseLand |
Faithte:Ironically, being an indigene means you'll have to put in extra effort to gain admission. In UniUyo, judging from the number of applicants over the years, economics is a competitive course. I suggest you should get for yourself copies of UniUyo past questions or contact me if you deem it necessary. Cc: VictorMike IamNanas C |
Vectormike:An average of 230 or thereabout should get you admitted though over the last 3 years the number of applicants for comp. science has been on a steady rise hence the competition. |
IamNanas:Scoring at least 200 in the PUME would definitely get you admitted. |
Mhizizzy: No. Negative. I am he whose unbridled bibliophilic attachment to lexicographs and literary compilations birthed via the anglo lingua has always been eternal. |
EroticAngelina:Partly due to the unintelligence of SOME female partners whose hapharzard ratiocinations cannot birth mutually-beneficial ideas/decisions and hence leaves the man fixatedly juxtaposing his earlier resolve to officially partner with her on andro-foolhardiness which inherently leads him to liberate himself from the gamo-shackles thereof...in extreme cases. |
APC...! SHAME...! |

prettythicksme:No one is terming you a "broke babe"; afterall there are "runs girls" from rich homes. The questions are: Have you not been demanding money from men you? What do you offer in return? Is it not sex? |
prettythicksme:You both expect/demand money from guys you date/sleep with. You both exchange sex for money, only that you hide under the charade of dating to do so. Tell me you haven't demanded money from the men you've dated. |
bukatyne:How about Jada_Pinkett who ruined her marriage with her infidelity to Will Smith? |
prettythicksme:Because you've not been caught doesn't mean you're smarter. Hypocrisy is when a university girl who expects monetary reward from guys she dates calls another a "runs" girl. |
nma24:Yes missy, Pinkett and Anthony. That act ruined Pinkett's marriage to Will and Marc's to J.Lo |
StealthIdeals:Nice story...Scratch that- brilliant story! In addition to what Thronekid opined, I think you should work on your use of imagery- paint pictures with words. I call it lexical realism. Be a wordsmith - manipulate words that strike a cord or two with the readership. I especially like to employ pun. You know, make the reader pause to mule over a phrase till he experiences his 'eureka' moment. Nonetheless, this a beautiful story |
