Chatter has it that they recruit only from the armed forces and police. I believe they pool staff from the Foreign Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Oga, I very much doubt those your stats. Considering Nigeria's GDP per capita is almost 4 times Rwanda's, it's impossible that we have double their poverty rate. I never tire of pointing out how hopeless this country is, but let's not start spinning fantasies about other countries.

The supposed Nigerian wealth is not spread around.

Far better how? Do you realise the majority of Rwandans are poor villagers who live without enough food or electricity? The op is deceiving you. Rwanda is trying but they are not in Nigeria's league at all.

I beg to differ sir. Only 39% of Rwandans are poor. Only 30% of Nigerians are not poor. Plus our government is needlessly wicked and corrupt on all the different levels. Rwanda is not as corrupt a society as Nigeria is.

Nigeria has a long way to go, it's not just our large economy that will make life worth living here. Are our police officers effective? Is public service working? Are our many cities neat? In these areas Nigeria is playing catch up to Rwanda.

And Paul Kagame is a visionary leader. Who wouldn't want to live in such a place?

The highlighted text just did it for me. This is my number one consideration whenever I'm assessing any location for its liveability. I'm in love right now and would surely try to visit Kigali in the near future.

By the way, which Nigerian town or city, do you reckon, comes closest to having a semblance of a "general mood of tranquility, restraint, and soberness"? It used to be between Calabar and Abuja, but both cities have been corrupted and are now ridden with crime and insecurity.

My best bet now is Abakaliki, but then, who knows anywhere better?

As Agbaletu said and I concur, you'll not find any city in Nigeria with a general mood of tranquility, restraint, and soberness. It's just not a Nigerian thing. The closest I have seen in Nigeria is Jos which is a bit calmer than other Nigerian cities I've been to. Yet it is as unsafe and insecure as other Nigerian cities.

No think am o. Rwanda is far ahead of us, we just have a bigger economy due to our monster size. There was this BBC Hausa report that I once listened to, the reporter said Kigali has more beautiful neighborhoods than even Abuja. He further said many world billionaires have homes there or come for holidays (don't know how true but he mentioned Bill Gates). He said the general mood in Rwanda is that of tranquility, restraint and soberness unlike Nigeria's riotous and boisterous nature.

Many young Rwandans are well educated, even more than their peers in Nigeria. Average Rwandan I've come across speaks French and English and then their language.

I like to inquire if there's anyone in the house who's somewhat familiar with Panam Percy Paul's songs, there's this very album titled "Nigeria I Love You",with singles like Christabel, Jesus Is The Rock, Learn To Love, Living In The City etc I've for a very long time searched every Gospel Music outlets around me to no avail. I can't even find any of the songs online. Those days,I would listen from a cassette player... I should think my dad bought the audio cassette around 1990 or so.

So if there's a proud owner of this album CD/cassette, kindly borrow that I may burn/dub. I wouldn't mind sending my address so you could have it mailed kindly to me.

God bless you all.
My regards to Ayoku777 & Malvisguy212

I don't know of you've found it. Please if you have let me know, I listened to it in my childhood and I'm searching for the cd version too. If you haven't let me know so that I'll share with you when I find. Blessings!

Retaining their name and winning elections is very possible in Nigeria. Bitter truth.

Nigerians have short memories. All PDP needs to do is to retire their current players, sign younger suave players and get a youngish chairman.

Let the current PDP guys leave the scene, you'll see it what will happen. The problem with PDP is not the brand, it's the people that are it's current face.

I believe Tinubu was given the title Jagaban Nupe at Bida in Niger State, somehow this title became popular and some kind of identity for Tinubu. Jagaba is a northern title derived from the front runner in a traveling caravan. The leader of the caravan is known as Madugu. ( Madugu Uban Tafiya).

Best answer so far. May I add that he is was given the title at Borgu Emirate, New Bussa not Bida
