Politics / Re: No Foreign Pressure On President Buhari To Drop 2nd Term Bid – Presidency by TheUbermensch: 5:54pm On Aug 14, 2018
The idiots above me tho'.

Even if there were pressures do you expect APC to own up to the fact? They'd deny it of course.

So there's nothing noteworthy here.

true. It's not advisable to root but it gives you more control over your phone

What control do we want again?

Isn't android free enough? Why do we abuse privileges? Nothing stops Google from making android like iOS.

We can change fonts, themes, manage data effectively, accessibility is topnotch.

What more could we possible ask for?

I won't take that literal.

The church is the body of all Christians you see.

So I feel he means keeping in touch with one another.

But if you're telling me redemption is not guaranteed unless you go to one building every Sunday morning then you're not in the right frame of mind.

So many abuses in churches today. the sanest thing to do is to maintain a distance.

Lol. Story story! Daura conspired with Saraki and Ekweremadu to play that drama we watched that day! How's that hard to understand by discerning mind? This is most likely a writeup to whitewash Saraki and present him as unawares of what he scripted. It'll not fly. The duo have always been friends - friendship in crime.

This is very funny.

The thing is the more Osho does things like this the more he paints himself as the enemy. Why make so much trouble about this? Fine Saraki doesn't want to step down. In a couple months time fresh elections would be conducted and.. oh oh oh. I see now. Baba Knows it's impossible for APC to win votes like they did the last time.

This is the point those shouting about constitutionality refused to take into account. According to our constitution, Saraki and other decampees lost their senate seat the day they decamped to another party. Since Saraki is the latest advocate for the constitution and our democracy that they say is in danger, we should all tell him to democratically vacate his seat in accordance with the constitution. An artificially created r-APC that already signed up with CUPP or whatever that contraption is called did not make it mpossible or impracticable for APC to function. So, there is no justification whatsoever for the defection.

Lol.

If Tambuwal defected and nothing happened, I don't see why Saraki's case should be different.

Celebrities / Re: Olamide Shades NBC As He Releases New Song, Titled PUNA by TheUbermensch: 2:25pm On Aug 12, 2018
QuietHammer:

Their songs lack lyrics?
By definition, lyrics means the words of a song so if I like I can say "nigga, nigga" all through my song will still have 'lyrics'.

Also, there is this word called "Genre". You should look it up. Examples of music genres are blues, jazz, raggae, hip pop, highlife etc ...and other merged and sub-genres.
My point here is that you shouldn't expect to hear the core characteristics of blues in hiphop. In the same vein, if your sanctimonious self wants to hear about the virgin mary then you shouldn't listen to blues, pick up an album of Tope Alabi and have a nice time.

Hip hop or pop is fundamentally a genre meant for entertainment. I for one don't want to be dancing away stress then hear someone singing about the second coming of Christ. There is a time and place for that. This is the reason why 'nonsensical' and lighthearted words are used. If I want to dance to religious songs I'll do that in the church or at home.

Again sir, these sort of songs "without lyrics" as you've wrongly said are meant for clubs, parties and entertainment when words which would cause the listener to pause and reflect would be counterproductive.

Don't thank me.

Do you want to be unfortunate? Please let me know if you do so I'll know how to proceed.
Happy Sunday.

This is poppycock.

There is Hip-hop and there is trash.

Olamide of Rapsodi, YBNL, Street OT, was hip-hop, not these rubbish he's releasing these days.

I can't believe anyone in their right senses would celebrate mediocrity and would be grandiloquent while at it.

Politics / Re: "If You Can, Impeach Saraki Legally" - Ben Murray-Bruce Fires Back At APC by TheUbermensch: 6:42pm On Aug 11, 2018
Lol.

They say barking dogs don't bite.

It has always been in the effect of people who'd strike deadly to say very little. You can't change anything by boisterous claims. You don't win sympathy that way.

So I have never taken Adams serious at all. He's only crying and trying to gather unnecessary sympathy. If he had any sense he'd retire to the background and plan ways to legally and successfully impeach Saraki. That doesn't include paying jobless people to come on nairaland and praise this administration.

Like Bruce said "if you can, impeach Saraki legally". There's no too much talk there. Carry out the necessary procedures and stop defaming the man with any little opportunity you get.

This is 2018.

I do not understand why getting voters card should be so tedious. Remind me again why we need quarter of a billion naira against next year elections? It's even easier in some African countries and some douchebags would have the nerves to call Nigeria the giant of Africa.

The process of getting the PVC is intentionally tedious. It's a way to keep very busy people off. .

Also what's the point of getting a PVC in a country where elections would still be rigged?

We should just accept that Nigeria has failed in every ramification and doesn't even deserve to be called a country.

So you have stolen your parents phone this morning to comment nonsense again as usual. There should be age limit on Nairaland for people immature like you. Have u ever met the local govt chairman in your area? but this guy has met a lot of dignitaries as you can see. HE HAS CONNECTIONS IN NIGERIA MORE THAN YOU and yet you choose to insult yourself. cow brain

Someone once said that the only thing important than winning gold in the Paralympics is having arms and legs.

He was recognised because of his disability. Nothing special there. It's not something that should give anyone sleepless nights or make you hurl insults at someone.

And it's funny how you'd accuse someone of immaturity when you're clearly the immature one here. You're hurling insults at someone over somebody who's not aware of your overly unnecessary obsequious existence. Don't you suffocate from too much butt kissing?

First of all, let me say it is quite encouraging and motivational to many kids out there and here.

Taking or wanting this to happen in Africa we must change some of our mentality.

To be frank with you, alot of parents would scold their child who is taking a lot of time with a laptop than their schoolwork or even wouldn't want his/her child to have it.

Because there is this perception with africa parents that children learn alot of negative things with it and also waste their time.
They choose to criticize a child with a phone or laptop disregarding what the child is learning.

My point is we should allow the kids to explore also with making sure the kid isn't going a perverse way like fraud and all manner of illicit exploration.

According to the post, the kid start at the age of 5, many parents wouldn't let their kids have such privilege of having a laptop or a phone.

Another thing is environment

if you are in a place like nigeria, it is very slim to be like that kid.
At the age of 9, taking about ios, javascript, sql, injection, web development is more like talking garbage to an illiterate Nigeria parent. No support and no encouragement.

Also, availability of material, money and understanding people.

Another point is the perception of "you must go to school to make it big"

this is with Nigeria parents, they won't encourage you when you are having an idea of creating any internet stuff.
If this kid were to be a Nigerian, i can bet, the chance of being what he is today would be slim.

The thing is your environment and your culture.

If you want to be like this kid or someone great like bill gate or mark zuckerberg, in Nigeria here, you must go contrary to how people view things here.

All this many talk onto another person matter.

How much have you gained with this write-up?

Back to Saraki. There is a reason, there is a political lexicon in Nigeria called the " Banana Peel". The Banana peel is for everybody, and Saraki is not excluded from slipping too.

Chuba Okadigbo and Adolphus Wabara knows what that means very well.

Political Prostitution( changing parties) have consequences.

Especially if you gained leadership position(s) through your former party. If the APC have the majority, and feel they need leadership changes, then it is within the confines of the law to remove Saraki.

It is nothing personal, but politics as usual.

You probably didn't say the same thing in 2014 when Tambuwal defected.
