It is not ego at all but a kind of laziness. I saw this type of laziness clearly with a man who has two cars, he uses non for business except to run errands for his wife who does food business. He assist her truly with the business but y'all know how better their finances would be if he gave someone one of the cars or at least uses it for uber. Then I payed attention to the way he assist the wife and I saw even though he is helping, most of his work in the kitchen is mere busy body because he can't handle the kitchen work efficiently like the wife plus there is this limit to what a man can do in the kitchen before the public as far as our society is concerned. At the end of the day bulk burden is on the woman who is now looking way older than the man from too much stress.

Some people are naturally laid back, if you don't push them to get on the road they don't seem to know how to pull themselves up when they lie flat on the ground but can do very well when they are helped up. I can bet someone helped him with his first job.

What your sister need to do now is to expand the grinding business for him and let him man it with the way someone already suggested on managing the finance. Because if he is left alone he won't just pick himself up.

More importantly now, your sister should watch out for which of her kids is laid back like the dad because that is where his mum failed. He can do chores because he was assisting his mum and she was comfortable with just that, today that is all he can offer because his hustling spirit doesn't switch on its own. She would have pushed him to do those chores and hustling young boys starts with especially outside the home. So this is what your sister should look for and start doing early else history will repeat itself. Early traits to look out for in these set of lazy People is that they like doing things at their own time which is usually late, they stay indoors too much, they rise up late etc let your sister maximize the little he can do because there exist the ones that are altogether useless.

It is very feasible even if you don't know how. One can invest, get insurance and contribute to an education fund for less than N7500 monthly. And I'm assuming that his employer will have already included him in a pension scheme. A family already used to spending 20k-30k on home expenses monthly would not need to have a multimillion dollar investment to get back that amount as profit. There are also dozens of ways to slightly supplement that income to survive.

I did something I really regret. My wife and I have an amazing marriage, 2 years of marriage and we are blessed with a 7-month-old baby girl.

She is 28 and I almost 33. Last Saturday I got invited to go out by some of my work friends , I got home late 2am, so madam wasn't happy. She was yelling at me, throwing hands and screaming at me. I ignored her and left the room to the living room but she followed me and I asked her to leave me alone but she kept going which made me angry.

I took the back of my hand and gave her a slap on the mouth. She cried out and held her face and started crying and her lips was bleeding. I didn't intentionally hurt her, I just wanted to calm her down since ignoring her was not working. I said sorry, and I was literally on my knees begging her. I tried to hold her but she refused.
The rest of the night was me repeating apology or i didn't mean to hurt you. She ignored me . She went into our room and locked the door.

She was in there for a long time and the next morning, her mother and older brother was at the house and she came out of the room with her and our baby stuff and she said she was leaving me for good. I told her how sorry I was but her mother told me to get out of their faces and they left the house.

I feel so ashamed and I've never done anything like this before and I never thought I would. I don't want to loose my wife and baby. I need both of them back. Should I attempt to contact her?

There is no point rationalising or downplaying what happen cos she bled from a split lips as a result of the force you expended when you slapped her. When admonishing someone you love deeply, i doubt you can expend such energy to the point of blood flowing. She won't just forgive that easily especially coming from someone she loves.
