ojaysam25:An half-baked incoherent analyst dey feed you with lamba, you are saying it's schooling. Was that how your smart teachers back in school used to lie to you? OJS you are way better off than to gobble up Kingcall's lies just because you find your self on the same anti-Messi divide. He is telling you Copa is nothing and has never produced Ballon Dor. Pls ask your friend how Rivaldo and De Lima won the Ballon D'or based on their Copa wins in 99 & 97 when both did not go far in UCL or in any other non-league continental tournament those years. Or did Kaka, Copa 2007 winner, not win Ballon D'or same year? For over 30 years, Copa winner has produced more Ballon d'or winners than Euros winners. And that's the fact that Kingwhatèver, your supposed schooler, does not know and will not tell you. You're smarter than this bro. |
OJEEMAH:On point. CR is so selfish and will do anything to ensure he surpasses Messi (fortunately he no fit) even if it means teaming up with past enemies. Do you think he truly cares about Man utd, someone that was ready to sign for their arch-rival if not that they rejected him and Fergie came to his rescue. Will Messi ever consider to sign for Madrid? That's how you know a player that is truly integrated with a club's values. Ronaldo is only at United to advance his personal ambitions and will abandon them once things begin to go south. He also loves to mask his unfaithfulness with long motivational quotes to deceive his gullible followers. |

My guy carry go nothing do you. Sorry I'm just seeing this. |
obonujoker:Yeah true, I remember you said you inherited a school. So una be bonafide proprietor wey dey enjoy . Well a word of advice - Pls use some of your Messi-time to monitor your workers the more and you'd see how way more successful you'd become Sow gini? My guy, we are reaping 7th Ballon D'or this December while you people be harvesting Instagram D'ors & tap-ins upandan. We're cool with that bro .Meanwhile, I hear your Pendu devoured his favorite meal yesterday complete with the usual elements ![]() |
obonujoker:Well-done sir. But face your work squarely na and leave Messi alone before you start accusing him again of being responsible for any lapse at work ![]() Messi that has only played 2 and a quarter games in the French league, how e go tire am? But the French league match fixtures are annoying sha. Messi will miss PSG's league game this weekend again because he would still be playing for Argentina same day. Though to be honest, the fixtures had been set prior to season starting cos the league authorities never envisaged Messi will come to Lique 1. If they knew, they would had shifted all PSG's fixtures after the international break to Sunday. I expect you guys to start criticizing Messi and opening threads upandan again for him not playing the PSG game. It's in you people's blood ![]() |
anorexicmuster:This is not true. The DC enterprise especially has an agenda to promote LGBT & Feminism in their contents for all age-groups. On DSTV channel 301 (Cartoon network) there's this program DC girls of something that has Wonderwoman, Super girl and some other female superheroes. This program is not age-restricted and I was shocked to see blatant kissing between the ladies, some of the characters were talking about boyfriends and expressing romance! Kids of even less than 5 years old watch channel 301 all the time. DC legends series, although age-restricted, brazenly promotes lesbianism & bisexuals. DC's Supergirl series promotes female supremacy as Supergirl is projected as stronger than Superman in the series. It's obvious DC is on a catch them young spree and they are not hiding it at all. |
obonujoker:All of you don become Lionel Messi tracking devices U see news from "yeyenews" blog and you come dey masturbate on top fake news because na about your arch-nemesis. Anyway, no surprises seeing that you yourself are a joke ![]() Meanwhile, tis been a while I heard from ya. How have you been bro? |
ddippset: You gat no chill bro. That was ddiiiipp! |
OJEEMAH:Lol. Wetin man go do na ![]() But that TransG requires more than school o. Shehe needs deliverance plus opening skull surgery ![]() |
Kingcalls:Sighs.. Benzema & Haaland exploits last UCL while very good still falls below what Messi did in UCL 2019 terms of total number of goals, and quality of goals against tough opposition. Never mind other scintillating non-goal displays Messi did which these players can't even match. Haaland exited at the quarter-finals. Benzema had less than 8 goals. None of them had the kind of outstanding performances Messi had against Man utd, Liverpool, Lyon and Tottenham in 2019. For someone who claims to watch football since long ago, your submissions are ridiculous. When Rivaldo won Ballon D'or in 1999 after not making it into UCL quarter-finals with Barca, what do you think was responsible? His 1999 Copa America win of course. When Ronaldo De Lima won Ballon D'or in 1997 without getting anywhere in UCL or even winning Serie A, what did you think was responsible? His 1997 Copa win of course. Kaka won Copa & UCL 2007 and was Ballon D'or winner as well. Did you even know that since year 2000 only once has the Ballon D'or winner ever come from the team that won the Euros and your guess is as good as mine, that was Cristiano in 2016 so why dont you say it was when CR won Euros that the tournament was hyped as a decider for Ballon D'or winners. 2000 - Figo won B'Dor despite Portugal's elimination at Euro semi-finals. 2004 - Shevchenko did not come from Greece 2008 - Cristiano certainly did not come from Spain 2012 Euros did not produce Messi You are simply a poor student of history who does not even know how to debate logically. |
Kingcalls:Hate has blinded this one to the point of complete irrationality. A statement that Messi made way back in March 2020 when Jorginho wasn't even in the picture is now attention-shifting? You go school at all? Guy abi na babe, you are already in the market-square if you don't know already ![]() |
Kingcalls:That must be a joke right? Like Ronaldo winning Euro 2016 is lesser than Lewandoski winning Bundesliga 2016 ba? The issue I have with you is that you are very insincere in your arguments making it an absolute waste of time bantering with you. Who ever told you that Messi won 2019 B'Dor mainly because he won La Liga? FYI, 2019 UCL played the major role in Messi's Ballon D'or win over Van Dijk. Even though he didn't win it, Messi was outstanding in 2019 UCL as he was highest goal scorer (12 goals) and he had several outstanding knock-out games where he almost single-handedly determined the outcomes with spectacular goals i.e against Lyon, Man utd and first leg vs Liverpool that brought him critical acclaim. In fact, if he had not scored that majestic free kick against Liverpool at the Semifinal which was the tipping point for many of the voters (e.g Mourinho), he most likely would not have won the B'dor over VVD. The La Liga trophy was just a minimum base, the main factor was his UCL exploits. Lewy on the other hand simply did not have the same kind of impact on UCL Messi did in 2019. If you deny this, then you are simply confirming that you are irrational. No player has ever won the Ballon D'or solely on the basis of local league exploits. There's usually outstanding performances in either the UCL/UEFA Cup or an international tournament that augments their case to win. |
Kingcalls:Messimerizers are on this thread because the conversation is about potential realistic Ballon D'or winners of which Messi is among. The real question is why are you here when your fave is not even in the conversation? Why chooking mouth inside wetin dey above the grade of you or your fave if not just to hate on a likely winner as usual ![]() Messi deserves it because he had a good balance of individual contributions (Over 50 goals & assists in 2021) and trophies (Copa America & Copa Del Rey) where he was the main contributor to winning those trophies (best player in both competitions). Lewandowski has slightly better individual stats than Messi but doesn't score high in the area of trophies or impact in high value competitions (Copa america is considered more significant than Bayern's annual Bundesliga celebrations) (Also didn't have any outstanding game in the UCL to boost his sole Bundesliga fireworks). Jorginho scores the highest in trophies won but is embarrassingly low on individual contributions. I mean this is someone that was regularly subbed of the Italian team at the Euros and almost cost them the title with his missed penalty. In the UCL, Kante, Mount, Havertz and Giroud were the main drivers of Chelsea's win during the campaign. So on the balance of it, Messi should win the award and there is nothing pained haters like you can do about it. |
NaijaDonCast:My point is not that a defender cannot win it. The koko is that anyone (whether striker, midfielder or defender) should not win it simply because he was part of trophy-winning teams without being individually outstanding. At least, Cannavaro won the second best player award at the 2006 world cup for his outstanding defensive displays at the tournament, so his Ballon D'or was not without some form of justification (though Zidane would have won it if not for bad behaviour). Meanwhile Jorginho does not have any outstanding individual recognition displays at Euros or UCL. So he shouldn't even be close. |
Topmaike007:Lol, your agenda is glaring as a Madridista. But we all know that it was Iniesta, Villa, Xavi, Puyol, Fabregas, Busquets, Pedro that were the main drivers for Spain's World cup 2010 and Euro 2008 & 2012 win. That a mere handful of R.Madrid players were part of the story does not take away the fact that it was Barca's players that wholly defined the era of perhaps the best national team of all time between 2008 - 2012. Very convenient that it also coincided with Barca's reign as perhaps also the best club team of all time. |
oxygeng:True, although for the most part Spain played like the stronger team, just that they lacked a world class finisher like Benzema. UNL still remains a formalized friendly tournament though. |
This Jorginho agenda is ridiculous and I think it's due to the social media age we are in that is making many uninformed persons to put pressure on him to be in the conversation. Someone that doesn't even deserve to be in the 30-man shortlist IMO. He lost penalty for Italy and could have been responsible for his country's exit at the Euros and did nothing spectacular for both teams. Is that how low these agendists think the Ballon D'or has become? Let's even look at precedents and they are plenty: 2012 Juan Mata - won UCL with Chelsea and Euros with Spain. Won Chelsea's player of the year award (2011/2012). The baba no even make the 23-man shortlist let alone top 3 Ballon D'or nominees. 2014 Mesuit Ozil & Sammie Khedira - Both won UCL with Madrid and World cup with Germany (with Khedira scoring 2 goals against almighty Brazil in a 7-1 Semi-final demolition) - Both of them no smell shingba at Ballon D'or podium level 2008 Gerard Pique - Won both UCL for Man Utd and Euros for Spain. Yet would never even make a 100-man list for ballon D'or nominees that year ![]() 2002 Roberto Carlos - Won UCL for Madrid and World Cup for Brazil and actually scored blinding goals in both tournaments, yet man did not even make top 10. 2000 Makelele - Same story as Roberto Carlos only that his national honours came with France at Euro 2000. You guessed right, he was watching the Ballon D'or ceremony from home like you and I lol. 2016 Pepe - Even though we know he wasn't going to win it over Ronaldo, at least based on Jorginho's law he should have made top 3. But as you well know, he didn't even make top 3 for Madrid let alone globally. Same as Contreao. 2018 Varane - Won World Cup for France and UCL for Madrid with stellar performances. Still did not make top 5 Ballon D'or list With plenty precedence wey dey above, how Jorginho own come be. Most of the above players even had way better individual contributions to their teams' successes, yet them no smell am. Make Jorgendists go and sit down abeg. |
OJEEMAH:OJ, as in I don't understand this Jorginho agenda o? It's ridiculous and I think it's due to the social media age we are in that is putting pressure on him to be in the conversation. paulolee:I agree. Garcia did not change the direction of the pass to Mbappe so it should still have been considered offside. It is what it is though. Congrats to France, it's not easy always coming from behind to win against tough opponents. |
Give that little man the Ballon D'or now! Just look at how imperious Messi was earlier this morning against Uruguay. He was simply majestic, scoring a goal, creating numerous chances for teammates, dribbling through opposing players anyhow, testing the keeper with good shots, driving and dictating the midfield, all these against a tough opponent at 34 years old! Someone else against this same opponent would be in the box waiting for tap in all day with no other contribution of note and then some dimwits would say such a mere goalscorer is better than a Messi that does it all? It's ridiculous! BTW, Pochettino needs to learn from Scaloni how to forge an excellent team chemistry into that PSG team. I never thought the day would come that people will say Messi plays better for his national team than for his clubside. But that's the case right now. Currently PSG is just a team of good individuals without team spirit and Messi has already noticed that. If they are to win the UCL, the battle of egos needs to be eliminated |
pu7pl3:Lol, you are smart. You smartly caught the sub I sent you and your ilk. |
He didnt say he was the best boxer in history but best boxer of his era. And we all know his era is one of the least competitive in heavyweight boxing history with him, AJ & Wilder as the key actors. In short him against heavyweight delawoods. Dont think he can beat Lennox Lewis or Mike Tyson in his prime. |
This is too gross to be in a children's playground. How will they be installing reverse cowgirl style in plain sight of kids? ![]() The creativity behind it though is intriguing. Having children slide out of the copulation toy-hole is symbolic, albeit inappropriate in that location. |

All those ones (Lippi, Sacchi) are Italos na. They will definitely support their own. Jorginho ko, Jorge Mendes ni ![]() |
Awesome01:Lol, Bros I know the guy's antics here. Nonetheless, even devviants can still deserve a shot at redemption. I was only offering him a long rope to pull to perhaps stop his fall into mental regression. |
devvy44:That was just an isolated case of over zealousness on his part. I was referring to Mbappe's inability to dribble around him unlike against Barca. |
I'm impressed by Spain's turnaround from a deadbeat team just a couple of years ago. The only reason they couldn't beat France tonight was the absence of a world class finisher in their midst like Benzema or Mbappe (who had a poor game btw but still delivered). |
Debroslink:True. While Koeman isnt the genesis of our problem though, he has accentuated the issue with his poor management acumen, the team simply has no spine. |
While Lewy had a good year individually, Messi also had a good year individually and capped it up with a stellar performance for Argentina to win the Copa tournament, while Lewy only won the dame Bundesliga Bayern had been winning for the past 6 years or so. Both players did not make any outstanding mark at the UCL, so the Copa win gives Messi the edge over Lewy in 2021 Ballon dor race as it carries more weight above the Bundesliga. Jorginho has just been lucky to be part of 2 winning teams in the same year. Without him, both teams would still have won their trophies. He is not even the top 5 best player in Chelsea or Italy let alone Europe or the world. |

Against Spain tonight, Mbappe did not have any joy against Eric Garcia. If it were against Barca, Garcia go dey chop grass anyhow like a disoriented goat. Even Busquet still bossed the midfield against Pogba & co. Something is definitely wrong with Koeman. |
OJEEMAH:I'm good bro . Twas just a high workload I was referring to. |
