Beorn1:Are you saying it's not possible/probable, or it shouldn't be spoken of at all? |
beyedew:You're welcome. I've retaliated too ![]() |
ICONS, please do not be carried away. I repeat do not be carried away. There is a likelihood that Prince's 20% supporters might switch to Ozor cos of the ethnic commonality. As unsavoury as this motive might appear to be, it remains a possibility and this would be highly risky for Laycon. So we need to double our 41% votes as soon as Laycon is up again. |
topboss1:That doesn't really matter. What will make Ozo's 27% (in four) to be more significant than Laycon's 41% (in six) is if the total number of votes cast when Ozo was up is extremely significantly higher than the total number of votes cast during Laycon's time. Specifically, the total number of votes during Ozo's time must be at least 1.52 times the total number of votes cast during Laycon's time for Ozo's current votes to carry more weight than Laycon's. Unfortunately, we don't have the facts to confirm the total number of votes. However, logic dictates that 6 housemates should have a higher total number of fans than four housemates. So it's really difficult to push the narrative that there were more votes during Ozo's time. The other pointer is then to find a common factor during both eviction processes for comparison. In this case, Kiddwaya since he was up against both Ozo and Laycon and it can be reasonably assumed that his votes over both instances would be relatively stable (has Erica's support in both instances, or even less support from Erica's fans during Ozo's time). Given this, we can compare how Kidd fared against Ozo vs how he fared against Laycon. The resounding margin when up against Laycon speaks for itself. |
beyedew:Try to understand mathematics. When 4 housemates are up, it gives opportunity to poll a higher percentage than when 6 housemates are up. E.g if only two housemates are up, the winner will definitely have over 50% votes. The percentage of win is expected to reduce as more housemates are up for eviction. Based on the above, for Laycon to have polled 41.4% when 6 housemates are up is a much astonishing feat than Ozo who polled 27.7% when four housemates were up. It does not matter how close Ozo's competition were. To put this in perspective, when Kidd was up against Laycon, Laycon topped him by 25% (bear in mind, many Erica fans voted for Kidd cos the DQ had not happened). When the same Kidd was up against Ozo, Ozo only topped by 3%. It's Laycon's to lose. |
MSGAMBLE9:Don't mind them. It's a case of recency bias. I think this season had more interesting housemates than pepperdem gang despite the lockdown limitations. By the day 71 I'm sure that we'd pass page 8000, which definitely shows there's more content this season. |
Awwww, Ndi 5.62% is gone. |
WOW KIDD is gone!!! |
Nilknarf:But it appears way more people watched this season than last season. E.g last season which lasted for a whole 99 days ended at page 6500 thereabout on Nairaland on the final day. However, this season we re already hitting page 7000 on just day 56 (a whopping 43 days lesser). So you can also say that this season has been more engaging. There were also complaints that last season was boring during the season itself, so give this season some time after it ends to really evaluate how engaging it has been. |
I'm still at a loss as to how Threebear changed dramatically from his mostly objective, relatively polite and insightful comments all season long to a monstrous troll all in the space of one day. Can someone please fill me in on what happened to let all hell loose Cos it's now like there's a mental aspect to the gbas gbos from Threebear as the guy is just scattering the bullets at anywhere, anyone and anything in sight like a regular lady handling an AK47. |
lightangel65i:Don't waste your energy, it appears that girl is incapable of holding a sensible discourse. All she's seeing is rape, rape, guys, rape, guys, guys, rape. All the rational scenarios you are painting to her is just flying through her empty head. |
Nengi is annoyed that she missed some of her lines during the suits presentation. Ozo is consoling her telling her not to take it too serious. |
vickydevoka:IMHO, Neo, Kiddwaya, Laycon and Vee were the best individual performers on the night. You guys need to understand that suits is the hardest to interpret of the lot due to the witty wordplay it entails (not so much of gra-gra) and it also requires a bit of legal specialist knowledge which the other performances don't. So when you put all these factors into consideration, I think Neo aces it. But Vee was the most natural (effortless) actor, and host of all the housemates Kidd was the most expressive. Laycon just ticked all the boxes. No weaknesses noted. |
It's like I just noticed that Neo is more handsome all round than Ozo. |
Men. It's like Neo was born to do this thing. The guy absolutely KILLED IT! Composure, poise, voice, inflections, eloquence he damn killed it. I'm officially in admiration of him. I remain a Laycon Stan. |
She's only saying this because she got disqualified. It doesn't mean the votes are rigged. But she's kind of insinuating that all the high number of votes she recorded were pointless since she was eventually disqualified. She's still pained obviously. |
This Ofori looks like the black lightning guy on Netflix series. |
Bibidear:Tomorrow's showmax wager presentation |
DICKstractor:Although I don't agree with killing the tortoise, the second part of your comment reminds me of the Tortoise folklore (where he said his name was "all of you" ) I read when I was a kid. Thanks for the memory! |
decatalyst:Because the important instrument looks like a fellow snake na. |
Some of tonight's highlights: After announcing the winners of the Patricia task, some housemates went to the garden to reflect while Laycon, Triky and Vee went into the room to rehearse. At the garden, Neo was wondering if he could adopt a new strategy (Plan B) to the game to endear himself to viewers more and ensure he stays up until the finals. Ozo tells him that it doesn't make sense to abandon plan A that has kept him up till now and adopt an unproven plan B, so he should just continue to be himself. The others agree with this. They also say that they were shocked by Katrina's eviction so early in the game, as those kind of toxic characters have historically stayed longer in the house in past editions. Some of them also expected Lucy to have lasted longer in the house due to her controversial nature. So they were kind of surprised by the unpredictability this season. Kidd says he weirdly looks forward to Sundays (evictions). So they move on to talking about how they'll handle life after the house and connect with each other. Nengi says she'll zone out everything that has happened within the house in the house ( I consider this to be a shade at Ozo who was by the way moping beside her at the time she made this statement) and start a whole new journey outside the house. Camera after a while pans to Prince who was eating eba and egusi soup. It was quite funny (some would say disgusting) the way Prince was moulding gigantic morsels of eba and eating it in bits after dipping it into the egusi soup. In general, Prince appears to be a bit withdrawn throughout the evening. Laycon, TT and Vee are catching fun during their rehearsal. Nothing much to report on. |
Iamgrey5:I pray so. |
KingAzubuike:Most likely. |
Vianna:Well, maybe because you haven't been a beneficiary. I hear it gives the most orgasmic feeling ever ![]() |
Demnan:Wow, didn't know this. Somehow, he still got to make it. Looks like God's really at work in his life. |
MhisTahrah:So many reasons. 1. With the online audition, applicants would have had several chances to perfect their presentation before sending the final clip to the organizers. For a physical interview, you only have one chance to prove yourself thereby making any mistake more costly. 2. Online audition boosts confidence more than a physical audition. 3. Due to the highly uncomfortable logistical stress of attending physical auditions (i.e jostling with tens of thousands of candidates all day), a Laycon (and other HMs) might not have even been encouraged to apply in the first instance. 4. Different selection criteria might be used in a physical audition from an online audition. |
Dannyxy:Don't mind them. After Erica was DQed, they claimed that Laycon could not trend on his own again. But Laycon has trended effortlessly everyday since she left. Meanwhile, during the earlier part of the show when Laycon was massively trending, they were like trending on SM doesn't matter as its not votes. Bunch of obfuscated fellows. |
Have you ever thought of the fact that we would most probably have been talking about a different set of BBN housemates if Covid 19 had not struck and auditions were conducted in-person rather than online?? i.e most especially Laycon would almost definitely not have made it through. |
Brubembem:But he is saying the truth nau. Even Erica herself during on of her meltdowns told Kidd that she knew that he was treating her non-chalantly because she sold herself to him cheap and didn't really make him chase her. Now try to deny that. |
Tonnyray:Walahi You are wicked!!!! ![]() |
Erica's fans are living in delusion. I understand that you need to keep your fave in good light so you gats come up with any kind of defence whether unreasonable or not. The latest is to attack Lucy's personality to water down her comments. Unfortunately, the saying goes that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, the truth is established. Praise and now Lucy have revealed that Laycon did not lie against Erica. Dora, Ozo, Vee and Neo all affirmed during their Diary session that Laycon was not the cause of Erica's woes/DQ. When the truth keeps staring at you right in the face and you choose to ignore, then you are living in delusion, just like a mentally challenged patient. This is regardless of your natural instinct to jump at your fave's defence. When Laycon was simping after Erica, many Laycon's fans put his matter into prayer. They owned up to the fact that Laycon's attitude was not socially acceptable, condemned it, and were collectively relieved when he overcame the irritable display. So, Lucy, Praise and the other HMs that lived with Laycon cannot all be wrong while you believe you are right. Well, I also believe that I am richer than Dangote nau. On a lighter note, someone said that if you want to know if your girlfriend has Erica's spirit, give her Gordons and watch her performance ![]() |
Frank65:While you may have some valid points, the difference between Laycon and Ozo's cases is that Laycon was shooting way higher above his class and comfort zone by going after Erica. He actually dared to do what other more physically endowed guys could not even attempt to do, which is a plus already. A rejection was expected and not surprising at all. On the other hand, Ozo had all the necessary tools in the physical and mental box to handle Nengi. Unfortunately, with the way he naively handled the chase after Nengi, his supposed strong points have kinda been laid to waste and instead of him to change strategy, he appears to be flogging a dead horse. Well, time will tell whether he'll be vindicated eventually, but I really don't see that happening. I believe Prince still has a higher chance of bedding Nengi than Ozo. Kidd? definitely yes. Nonetheless, there are other more valuable things to achieve than chasing a woman. In these areas, I think Ozo holds his head proud. |
