Is it not better the father quickly reconciled now, before its too late. How can you be watching the growth of your baby boy through the social media only when you are in the same town?....just thinking. |
This woman also did same for a family in my fellowship not long ago. Took the parents and the baby to India. All expenses paid by her. May God bless her more. |

Staircases are essential part of our homes that we often overlooked. The staircase can add to the aesthetic appeal of a building and can actually be the most interesting part of a building interior if properly done and made to look so. Stairs can be majorly divided into Curve and Straight stairs. Which are also subdivided as listed under and more as technology breeds innovation. Stairs can be made of wood, concrete, steel and in some cases cable glass etc For the straight ones below. 1-Straight stair with landing halfway-This type takes more space but you can rest after climbing half of the stair comfortably before you continue to climb see pics below——— http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2019/03/18/staircases-styles-and-types/ |

Feasibility study is a process of evaluating the pros and cons of a project, the possibility of getting it right before commencement to avoid losses. Hidden dangers and positive benefits are expected to be looked at in feasibility studies to allow clients to make informed decisions. It is usually done mostly when your building project is for commercial purposes. Below are some key benefits of conducting a feasibility study: • Improves project teams’ focus • Identifies new opportunities • Provides valuable information for a “go/no-go” decision • Narrows the business alternatives • Identifies a valid reason to undertake the project http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2018/05/14/importance-and-factors-of-feasibility-studies-in-building-construction/ |

Labour productivity is simply the output generated by your labour force at a specific time. Labour is one of the most important factors in building construction and affects the overall costs a great deal. Productivity is the outcome of several interrelated factors amongst are 1-Time- During construction the time allocated should be followed, working overtime causes fatigue, though it initially result in increased output but contuining overtime will lead to increase costs and reduced productivity. An employee works effectively for 3.5 hours of his 8 hour shift. Break time should be observed to refresh and shouldn’t be more than the allocated time, usually 1 hour. 2-Scheduling-Planning the time and comprssion of tasks will give a better output , reduce the time of works completion especially when done effectively in a record time. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2018/04/28/factor-affecting-labour-productivity/ |

1) Location The location of a building inadvently contributes a lot to the high/low cost of building. The Nigerian case for class has a long way of affecting cost of building generally, especially Lagos. What happens in our urban areas is class segregation, a case whereby you were once poor and fits for the slums and outskirts or other areas that are less prime, and suddenly your economic purse changes, the first thing that happens to an average Nigerian is to relocate. Why? because he believes that is where is class is, the only place fits for his children’s education, his business e.t.c There is the general belief that when you move among the high and mighty yourself, you get more connected to where money is, and the probability of getting contracts is there. But people fail to realise that you can connect to anybody and makes friend more easily in today’s ICT age without relocating. Hence you see when a place is designated as Government Reserved Area, what usually happens is the influx of the rich and this turns even a terrible and non-developed land atimes to prime lands overnight just because of class and oppressive nature of the rich. The building artesans/workers ends up charging more when you are building in those area because of the influx of moneybags. So you will end up spending more money and you won’t get the land cheap either. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2007/10/08/factors-that-contributes-to-cost-of/ |
Buying a land under dispute is virtually everywhere but most common in crowded urban areas where most land have being sold. One of the first method is to ask people living around the area about past history of people that have once shown interest on the land or those that have once paid for them, what happened to them when they started work on the land? did they suddenly faced oppositions or everything just collapsed on their head and they have to live the site entirely? these are what people living close to that land can tell you about. The engagement of competent lawyer to do a thorough check on the documents of the land is essential to avoid falling into such problems. Lawyers do a thorough check on the land and legal history pertaining to the land. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2007/10/08/how-to-detect-land-under-dispute-and/ |
Collapse of buildings is not new to Nigeria, neither is it only peculiar to Nigeria, however that will not stop us from taking critical look at the situation and finding a solution to it. Collapse of building though can happen to any kind of building but the casualty of multistorey buildings can be so terrible. The collapse of storey buildings in Nigeria, especially in Lagos usually goes along with it attending casualties which can be more than 20. But what really motivates multistorey buildings. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2007/09/28/causes-of-building-collapse/ |
Many Nigerians abroad have been defrauded back home trying to build a house. The stories of bitter experiences are everywhere, but often time, the main cause of the problem is you. yourself in the diaspora, that always wants to eat your cake and still have it and at the long run you end up losing so much. Nigerians, no matter how civilised have consistently finds it difficult taking right channels in their endeavour and this is causing a lot of problems. Building a house at home can be as easy, as going to the supermarket to shop, however you have to pay the price through proper channel and save yourself from heartache or you pay the hardway and God help you don’t end up loosing your money altogether. Money is easily lost in overdependence on relatives and friends alike. When you entrust your money to these people because they are close to you, is good but if you’re unlucky to have the very terrible relations you may be in trouble without knowing.. Family ties will prevent you from taking legal action against them. These are what you must do to avoid these problems. (1) Let Professionals Handle your Project: This is where many a lot of people get it wrong and uptill now are still lauguishing in ignorance. People believe contracting the professionals will increase your cost of building, this is absolutely untrue, though at the surface to you layman, a professional charges so high an amount of money, he stretches you to the point of investing a little beyond your budget and you’re wandering why you have to spend several thousands of naira to a man that will only come to your site, look for a tree to sit under, stays for 30 minutes to 1 hour in your site and is collecting all the money. Ask those that have faced the repercussion of not consulting professinals the evidence are dotting the landscape of Nigeria. Paying for the professionals is not a waste but you are paying for him to save you money unknowingly, not clear to you. Yes, at the face you look for quacks, they charge so low to get the job done, you are not bothered with peanuts you paid them, guess you’re seeing yourself as being smart, but wait for just two years and see what have become of your house. You’ll start spending so much more correcting errors of the quacks and it has to be may be till when the building finally collapses. There are houses in Nigeria, that you have to paint every 6 months for them to look okay, yet some have stayed for 10 years without repainting and still looking better. What of the cracks all over your houses, how did your quack respond to challenges on site that were not initially there. If rain fall what becomes of your house? many and more of what the professionals would have stood on their ground to make sure you have a befitting house, unfortunately everybody sees one as a thief. One of the safest way is to engage the services of notable Architectural firm in the country, yes they will charge more, but they have a reputation to protect and won’t run away with your money. Building and construction companies that are very good are in the country, why not engage their services. (2) Don’t Send down all the Money at Once: Sending lump sum to your closest relatives may afterall be your undoing. A naturally nice person may change on the sight of large money, he would have committed the crime and used your money for his personal gains before blaming the devil. This become even easier since you are not there to monitor things yourself, all he has to do is to send pictures of a beautiful house somewhere to you. If you delay a little, the worst that will happen is just a little rise in your price but you’ll have had enough chance to cross check either by you coming home or through other friends as third party before investing heavily: also create artificial scarcity, there is errorneous belief that people abroad has a lot of money to throw around. (3)Crosscheck and don’t allow anybody to bamboozle you into buying or paying for anything when your mind is not thoroughly cleared about it. (4)Find a time may be once in a year to come home and monitor the progress of your building. It is two ways if you are impressed with what you see it may encourage you to work better and the other way round is to get discouraged, and this will give you the opportunity to take stocks and make the necessary steps to achieve your aims. (5)Your property documents are what you need and will stand proof of ownership in case of legal tussle or private incursions. If Government, then they should be able to pay you compensation. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2007/09/27/nigerians-in-diaspora-house-building/ |

Getting your project done at the stipulated time can save you money and contributes to the success of the building team. However, there are steps you have to take from day one. Purpose of Building– Right from the purpose of why the building should be in place can gear the contractors towards achieving the time frame set. Imagine a building that must be ready at a particular time for an event a building that loan has to be paid on and starting also within a time frame. So is important clear cut reason for the building and expectations on the part of the owners and contractors must be met. Scheduling– You need to allocate tasks with their time frame for starting and completion , the allocated time for some tasks can go on together . All these will be in place, on a scheduled document you will need to work on and make available on site. It also helps to monitor progress of work and when lagging behind, steps to take to recover the time lost. Plan-The plan of the building must be ready on time and before the start of the project all necessary documents should be in place, this will save you from unnecessary ammendments due to unclear plan that is yet to be concluded. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2017/04/25/keys-to-finishing-your-building-project-on-time/ |

Due to ignorance some clients go for a very low fee at the expense of quality. Unknowingly at long run you will ends up spending more for engaging an unqualified/ unverified tradesman or builder . using less qualified tradesmen will cost you much more. In other words this topic highlights the importance of getting a professional to handle your building project. http://buildingcontractorsecrets.com/2017/01/04/effects-of-bad-workmanship-on-a-building/ |
