You can ask people to help you with a job and be willing to start something no matter how little the pay is.
There are people facing tougher times than you are.Keep your head up

Do you pray before making major decisions in other areas?
Just asking.

There is a perfect person for every man or woman. However, marrying that person depends on if you follow His guidance and direction.
As a human being, you have a free will to choose whoever you want who may not be God's choice for you.

Do you mean that you can endure the pain as a man also?
why not?My body would have all the necessities for birthing a child.

^^^Low level thinking of the average Nigerian man and woman.

The man himself was a product of poor parents.I can imagine how his own parents must have been.
Nairaland General › Re: Can Men Endure The Pain Of Child Birth? by thorpido(m): 7:19am On Nov 06, 2014
The body of a woman was fashioned for childbirth. If that of the man was fashioned that way,he would bear it.
I once did a filling of my tooth without anaesthesia. So painful, yet I endured it.

horseshit!
pounded yam is the same everywhere. do they even have taste? it's the soup people enjoy, not the pounded mould.

if the soup is grade A, whatever you eat it with would go down well even if it's a ball of cotton wool. help your wives to help you.
I don't see any difference with it but I just keep hearing people say that.I guess the 'african men' will always want the mortar.
Family › Re: Family Tips For 'lazy' African Women. by thorpido(m): 11:34am On Nov 05, 2014
Hey,I heard the yam that is pound in the mortar is sweeter than the poundo machine one.Can anyone confirm pls?
Family › Re: Pls I Need CLARIFICATION! by thorpido(m): 3:09pm On Nov 04, 2014
If quite a number of people have told you that, then you should really look inwards cos it just might be true.

It doesn't matter how you were born or how life was growing up.You are here now.
Make the best of your present situation.Your education is going on fine and God has been helping your mum to pull through.Keep working hard to graduate with good grades.

Not all men are bad, matter of fact there are many good ones.Your dad is not a standard for men.You will need to understand and imbibe this else it will affect your relationships with the opposite sex.You don't want to end up like your parents do you?

Family › Re: Why Do They Ask This Question On wedding Day by thorpido(m): 9:06pm On Nov 03, 2014
If there is any objection, the priest should actually place the wedding on hold till it is sorted. It's not just for formality but you won't find anyone objecting most times. My sister's friend's wedding was stopped because of it.
The priest even asks the intending couple if there is any reason why they think they should not be joined.

Family › Re: I Don't Love My Husband Anymore! by thorpido(m): 7:04pm On Nov 02, 2014
What attracted the two of them to each other in the first place? What was their courtship like?
Marriage does not end with the wedding ceremony, you have to nurture it.What efforts has your aunt made in keeping the love burning?
A lot of times, men can become engrossed in work because they have to provide financially for the family but conscious effort should be made to give attention to your spouse too.
If he places friends and family above her,it means they were not friends when they married.

Marry your friend. It's important in marriage.

where in the bible is it writen that sex outside marriege is a sin? Answers with reference
Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me:it is good for a man not to touch a woman.Nevertheless,to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband(1 Corinthians 7:1-2).

Intimate desire is not a sin.Putting it into action outside of marriage is what makes it a sin.

what forgiveness!!!!! who told you he was never there for the young man. I read an interview not quite long when the son was talking about how he spent time with his father during his school days ...
I have read series of interviews where he stated that his father wasn't there for him.The funds for his training as a video director in SA were from his hustles. He had an interview early this year where he said he just started developing a relationship in the last five years. He grew up with his mother. They may have reconciled along the way but he has stated in many interviews that his mother and his hustles made him.

I'm sorry, but you did read read where in my statement I said I wanted to terminate the pregnancy but he refused saying he's got plans? Abandonin me when I needed him most? If he isn't wicked, why would he do such?
Your boyfriend treated you wickedly but you have to realise there are guys who accepted responsibility in similar situations and stood with their partners.I want you to erase the notion that men are wicked. It won't help your future relationship.
This guy abandoned you when you needed him most and chickened out for whatever reasons. He ought to have gone through it with you.
I keep saying pregnancy prevention is the responsibility of both sexes. There are many things to do from knowing your safe period to using contraceptives.
Family › Re: .. by thorpido(m): 3:35pm On Nov 01, 2014
Please cut the crap about men being wicked.Didn't you hear about unprotected sex and its consequences before you started having it?Were you not loving it then?

Your boyfriend didn't treat you well and like a lot of guys like him, they get to a stage it starts to burn them.Seems your boyfriend may not be having things going well with him. It's okay if he wants to meet his son and wants your forgiveness.
However,if he says he wants a comeback, you need to weigh all things.Really,I think you should have moved on already.Unfortunately, you have not tried to find love again and that's why you are in a dilemma now.
Celebrities › Re: I Wish Clarence Peters Is Not My Son--- Sir Shina Peters by thorpido(m): 11:56am On Nov 01, 2014
He's saying all these now,yet he wasn't there for the young man when he was growing up.
I hope he has sought forgiveness and made up with him now.

The romance was not in the 50s.Clarence Peters should be in his early or mid thirties.

Well maybe he is not!

Chillisauce:
sometimes the gifts are placed on the table. But very small gifts like pen, sweets. The main ones are hidden.

At bolded, what kind of reprimand would you give.
In the case of the suitcase, if he was caught, he would have said that he thought it was his. These people are something else.
I would have spoken loud in such a way as to attract attention and people would have become involved. He would still stick with his story that he thought it was a gift but he would have been embarrassed no doubt. Some people would have taken note of him too and kept an eye on him.

Two years is enough spacing if you want more kids. However, your comments show there's a deeper issue btw you two.
Family › Re: Is Love A Decreasing Process In A Marriage by thorpido(m): 5:27pm On Oct 31, 2014
What love and what is love?
Many profess love but don't really know its meaning and its actions.
True love in marriage grows. It may not be a butterfly-in-the-tummy kind of love.It 's a love that grows with responsibility and fellowship.
You can study 1 Cor.13 to understand more.

@11mts, you should have introduced some other types of food like cerelac, pap, tea and even some solids.
You can still keep trying different things and you will find out what she likes.Bosom milk is not enough at this stage.

If you attend an exhibition and indeed there are gifts offered, shouldn't those gifts be offered by the exhibitionists?Do people just help themselves with gifts?I think that guy should have been reprimanded right there.
If people need to take anything,I think they ought to always ask and not assume they can take it.They ought to be reprimanded or given appropriate punishments.

You're obviously not communicating with your wife.As a man with two female kids,e be like say you wan quick score boy?
Your wife obviously doesn't want a pregnancy now.How old is your last child? You guys should talk.
