That's the phrase I've been looking for. It boosts their ego when two women fight over them.

Men are usually the hunters. To have women chasing or fighting over them is something new and it excites them. It heightens the ego. It's a thing of pride for men to be called players and having two women fighting over men places them on pedestals most were unable to reach in their teenage years when girls took the pleasure of rejecting them.
Well,I'll say boys can get trips when girls fight over them.I don't think it will be an ego booster for 'men'.
Most men who cheat want to keep it discreet talkless of having a confrontation ensue when the wife finds out.
It's the 'boyz-2-men' who may have their ego boosted this way.

I think there's an orgas..mic sensation men feel having women fight over them.
A classy woman would never embarrass herself. Even if I were this stupid to attack a mistress, I would hire people to do the dirty work for me rather than soil my fingernails in a bid to 'confront'.
Na wa.How many men do you know who 'enjoy' this fighting over them?
There are many men who don't have the kind of outlook you think all men have.

In as much as this will hurt you,it's not enough to throw away the marriage.
What kind of work is your wife doing and in what way will educational qualifications affect it?
You have to move forward from here.If possible get her back in school.
Family › Re: Should Fathers Request For Paternity Leave? by thorpido(m): 9:15pm On Oct 29, 2014
Lagos state civil servants are to be granted 10days paternity leave.
Paternity leave is welcome if it will be used for baby care.

That's okay.I was expecting someone of your age.You guys should make the commitment and ensure you stay together.
Family › Re: My Relatives Are Gossiping About My Pregnancy by thorpido(m): 6:17pm On Oct 29, 2014
You wouldn't expect them to be jumping for joy that u're pregnant at this stage.
Rather than gossip,I would expect them to sit you down and analyse the state you have found yourself and the pros and cons.
You're SA so I can't say much about you getting pregnant at your age but this would not have gone down well with Nigerian relatives.
Since you say he is getting married to you, just go ahead with the plans and make the best of it.
If I may ask how old is your guy?
Family › Re: Can Two Dark People Make A Bright Skinned Baby? by thorpido(m): 6:48am On Oct 29, 2014
It's possible.Depends on your family history like someone said.
There is the dominant gene and recessive gene.If someone in your lineage is fair, your child could pick that.
You are more likely to have dark complexioned babies however.

What can you do about it?Nothing.
Just raise your kids well with good self-esteem and healthy.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are Christians Allow To Date? by thorpido(m): 9:15pm On Oct 28, 2014
The original definition of date means to go out with a partner.Nothing wrong with that because it's an opportunity to know each other.

Dating from the Nigerian context means freedom to kiss and sleep over in each other's house. This is what is not allowed.

I do talk to him about how i feel and he always promise me he isn't doing anything 'stupid'. But he never stops there is always someone if not more than one on the side.
I used to have my own friends before i got married but he was always complaining about them even though they are people i talked to him about before. I stopped taking to almost all my old male friends just to make him comfortable. Now i only have very few female friends and we dont even talk all the time or about everything. I know i could keep my own friends but the thing is if he gets to know he would not like it and he is going to give me a lot of trouble over it.
I want to keep peace. I dont want to do the same thing im complaining about, but that is what he is doing, doing exactly what he used to complain about.
your guy is a 'smart' and selfish guy. Most cheats try to keep their partners within limits because they know how the game is.
That's exactly what your husband is doing.Only you know why you married him.
I'm afraid it's his game and not yours. He's either going to retire and make things better for you or you will have to live with it.

Romance › Re: Why Do Muslim Girls Like Christian Guys More Than Their Fellow Muslims by thorpido(m): 11:04am On Oct 28, 2014
numericalguy:
Check yourself and the people you hang out with. Because I know Christians are the most sexually ravaged people the world over. HIV/AIDS is highest in Christian dominated areas. Alcoholism, prostitution, lies, armed robbery, yahoo-yahoo, drug-pushing, cultism, etc are their stock intrade. Even the few Muslims that are involved in all these social vices were initiated by their Christian friends.

Even the poster's argument should convice you that Christians have sold their soul to the devil when the only thing their so called "men of God" can offer is sexxual apeal. Little wonder their is so much moral bancrupsy in the churches nowadays, even big name pastors have not been left out with scandals on the pages of newspapers evryday.
I would have ignored this but it reeks of so much ignorance and bad belleism.
Indeed, muslim populated areas are the most peaceful and free of vices.
Examples,the northern Nigeria,Syria,Afghanistan,Iraq etc

Ignorant and confused Femi Aribisala. He forgets or rather is ignorant that some scriptures were for record purposes and to learn from and not instructions to follow.
Just like some messages of Jesus, there are parables.

No wonder the bible say,'.............with all thy getting, get understanding(Prov.4)

You say you feel like you are married to a stranger?I'll tell you the truth, you are.
I really don't know how long distance relationships work but they have a disadvantage in the fact that you can never really get to know each other well. Most times,it's a gamble.
I don't know how old your husband is but he's not mentally ready for married life.He still wants the freedom to mingle with ladies. He may not be physically cheating but he is emotionally.

What to do?Keep discussing with him about this and how it makes you feel. You will need a lot of patience too.
Family › Re: Can She Accept Him Him Just Like That? by thorpido(m): 7:14am On Oct 27, 2014
You can meet someone for the first time and have that conviction in you that this is someone i want to settle down with. However, there has to be a period of getting to know each other.
She can accept to date him.It doesn't mean she accepts to marry him.

Yes.Understandably, not everyone in church is perfect and there will be cases of unchristianlike behaviour in some members, the leadership can stand out.My leader(pastor) has a high level of integrity.

^^ Thorpido, should a child this critically ill be at home? Or be able to br.eas.t.feed?
Sometimes if the child is stable(meaning the child could just be on medication),they could discharge the child until the parents can raise funds for the surgery.
The child can still breas.t.feed if not too weak.

My father and we're at loggerheads because I refused to.buy him alcohol. Though I later bowed to the pressure but I always felt I sinned.
You didn't sin.Not that alcohol and cigarette smoking is good, but we need to understand the concept of sin as christians.
I dnt have the time now but I can deal more on this later.

No.

It doesn't. Not by a long mile.

That video tells me nothing. Except a mother asking her baby if he wants to eat - and do you honestly think this tells people anything?

Where's your brief introduction telling people why you've created this video (your cause for the appeal)? Followed by the sick child receiving an echo? And the interview with his doctor re-confirming the seriousness of his health? Then you ending it with a brief summary of what's been achieved so far, what needs to be done and by when? Followed with you (or whoever) zooming in on his paperwork, etc?
@olu4life.It's a good thing to want to help a friend, but he must become more involved himself.
A good video will show all that Efe stated here. That's what authenticates this post.
By the way,if I may ask, where is the child? Is he in LUTH?

It is not a sin.Morally,it could be wrong but it's not a sin.

If you are fed up of the feeding bottle, then you can start to put it away and get him to take food more.
However,my opinion is to let him be and over time,he will outgrow it himself.

Do you spend too much time alone?
Get busier outdoors.Get into activities in school if a student or church groups. Also try and get involved in sports.
Try and do away with porn materials, internet, mags, videos etc.

Above all pray. There is strength from above.

Sorry I'm just replying.I haven't used this particular one but I know it's the normal ORT in sachet just like the others.
Pour the whole sachet into a litre of water, that is two 50cl bottles of ragolis. You will give the child a few drops like every two minutes and you do that until the stooling stops. You have to finish that bottle of mixture for that day or you dispose of it and make another one the next day.
