I see where you're coming from. Makes perfect sense too.

This case really isn't a one person job. Catcata had really done well, bless her...but going forward it would be helpful if a medic on here can take up on babyosisi's suggestion. At least they'll know the right questions to ask.

Is there a way this doctor's number could be passed on to Babyosisi? Thorpido is another nland medic too. If two or three of our medics could co-ordinate a conference call and speak to this doctor, the picture would be so much clearer.
I'm sorry I've been busy and I've not been able to follow up on this thread.
Efe,pls what's the current situation now?Is the doctor's no available?

You don't have to fear for your daughter and nieces. They don't need many men.
Just the few good ones.

We name okonjo, Dora et al because they had husbands who worked with them as a team until they got to where they are/were.

On the other hand we have men who won't encourage or let their wives further or even finish their education. Of course they always have "good reasons" for such decisions and 'woe' betide the wife who decides to go ahead and do otherwise.even though they might be the next kema if given the needed support.

We can blame the other party as much we like, but the truth remains that just as there are rude and obnoxious women in existence today, there are also men with fragile balls who everyone has to be careful in dealing with because everything seems to emasculate them. It has to be their way or they feel they are not being man enough.
You are right on point.it's about a balance.
Incidentally, there are four classes;the weak women, the strong women, the weak men and the strong men.
The strong men don't have a problem with the strong women.I guess Op speaks more about the weak men who have to deal with the strong women. It might be a long thing!

Y'all are still missing the point. Nigerian women good or bad are strong women, the wise among them know so much more can be achieved by their strength, you and I already know this but the question is do the men need to look inwards?
As I said before, you are what you attract.
The men who are on the same level with good strong women don't need to 'look' inwards, they are inwards already.I'm afraid the men you intend to address won't even look.

There's nothing wrong with strong independent women. The examples you gave were strong women.
However, did you look beyond just the public image they exhibited?
These women worked WITH their husbands. They organised their programmes along with their husbands.
The problem with the ladies of nowadays claiming to be strong, independent women is that they come off more as rude and obnoxious and selfish just to prove they can do their own thing.

Do a bit of digging to find out how Dora Akunyili's husband was in her programme.Do the same for Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.These are strong women.

What level is she on as a student? If she is almost through with school and is studying a good course,I don't think that should be a problem. If you would have to support her in school, you have to consider that and the financial implication.
Marrying from a not too financially strong family is not a problem except the family will expect you to take care of them. There are families with such expectation when you marry their daughter.
There's not so much difference in height between you two.She has the average height of a woman.
Deal with your family with wisdom, not fighting them.I hope the girl is of good character. You should bring her around and let her warm her way into their hearts.

If not, your husband may just be trying to limit you.

If it's stressing you this much, you might have to let it go.
Are there other things you could occupy yourself with if you quit?
However, jobs don't come easy so I'll say you still hang in there.

Most importantly, work on your mind.Ease the stress.

Family › Re: Will You Seek Your Spouse`s consent Before Sending Money To Your Parents? by thorpido(m): 8:02am On Nov 08, 2014
It depends on how you handle finances in the home.If you both pool money together and operate a joint account or you run a budget, then it's only right that the partner knows you are sending money.
If however you meet up with the expenditure in the house as a man, then you don't need permission to send money. However, your spouse should still know you are sending money.
Family › Re: Views: Headship Of The Family by thorpido(m): 9:46pm On Nov 07, 2014
Lol at ladies who are avoiding the word headship but still implying it.
What's wrong with headship? It doesn't mean someone who makes all the decisions in a family or lords it over the other partner.A good head obviously allows others to make contributions and even take responsibilities.
There can't be a vacancy of a head in a home so someone is the head definitely.

I understand some women have decided to wear the shoes and keep their men under them.

Hmmm.Couples should stick together even in times of trouble but sometimes fear takes over and self preservation takes precedence.

bukatyne:
95% of married people are not married to who God destined for them angry

God can even tell you the Musa is your destined husband and you refuse to marry him. He will not force you ke.

There is the perfect fit and good fit. If perfect fit dies, there are still a lot of good fits
You're right.
DBestDoc:
[/b]

What if a person's predestined spouse dies before attaining adulthood, does it mean that the other living person will die single or spouseless(if there is any word like that grin)?
Destiny means it will happen. That means the person's spouse will not die until they have met.If a man is destined to graduate from the university,it means he will not die before graduating.
Yossykit:
dont mind him jare. No biblical basis for dis, It is just a church doctrine. One can marry whom he or she love but only in the lord(christian) according to apostle paul.
'Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL of God(Romans 12:2)'.
Did you notice that there are 3 levels in God:the good, the acceptable and the perfect. If a man makes a choice that is not evil,it's a good choice.Sometimes you can make decisions that are acceptable,God allows you to.
However, the highest level is when you fit into the perfect will.

A good biblical example was when God told Moses to speak to the rock and water will come out.Moses had become angry and instead of speaking,he struck the rock. You know what?Water still came out!
It was not God's perfect will but it was acceptable.
