Unibenstudent: So what is wisdom to u, wisdom is following the trend which constantine coined, constantine the Roman pagan emperor was the one who changed the glory of yeshua to Jesus
Your moniker says unibenstudent.
Firstly, you are disgracing Uniben alumni with all you are writing here.
Secondly,you're a student.Do you know what studentship means?It means studying,researching,analysing......

.....before spewing trash!

Lanreylan: Chai chai why do you failed to read between the lines for goodness sake? Can't you read or you've comprehension problems or what exactly is your condition?

If calling you a lost sheep is an insult, then I am simply following Jesus in that aspect because he also called people lost sheep.

But even in the general sense,do you yourself follow Jesus?
Jesus believed and worshipped one God,I believe the same. You believe in trinity.
Jesus bowed in his prayers,he never dance kurukere and azonto in churches, you do and I don't,I bow in my prayers.
Jesus never clap hands and beat drums in his worship, you do and I don't.
Jesus performed ablution and taught his disciples the same, you don't do that I do.

So who's following Jesus? You or I?

You can decipher the meaning of 'removed' into anything that suites you, that will always be your problem and never mine.Just remember that not everyone has the same thinking as yours.
Now you're showing the kid you are. What sense is there in what you just wrote now?
Looks like some nursery rhymes..

Allah will remove you from fire meaning distance from fire. Are you satisfied now?Don't bother quoting me again.I have agreed Allah will remove you from the fire distanced from it.
Islam › Re: Sorry Dad, I Quit Christianity For Good by thorpido(m): 6:44am On Sep 10, 2014
Lanreylan: I am simply following Jesus in the bible,a product of his words in this aspect.
If calling someone lost sheep is an insult, then I will gladly accept that I was schooled by christ in that aspect. He also adressed people as such and other names like 'A' generation of vipers',etc.
I am not twisting anything here, the explanations are clear enough for those who choose to learn. You can be an antagonist with a closed mind, that's always your problem and never mine.
You don't follow Jesus,you follow Muhammed.Big difference.
You're calling a spade a working tool.Even simpletons can see it clearly.

'Removed from' is simple enough.
A spade is a spade.......whether closed or opened mind.
Islam › Re: Sorry Dad, I Quit Christianity For Good by thorpido(m): 9:46pm On Sep 09, 2014
Lanreylan: Says the lost sheep. You can choose what you like, that's not my business. The Qu'ran says in Surah An-anbiyaa 21:101-103 -Verily those for whom the good has preceded from Us,they will be removed far therefrom (Hell)
.They shall not hear the slightest sound of it (Hell) while they abide in that which their ownselves desire. The greatest terror on the Day of Resurrection will not grieve them, and the angels will meet them, with the greeting:"This is your Day which you were promised."
Is that my own definition of removed? Bye
I won't reply you with insult.I know you are a product of what you've been taught and how you've been taught.
I was only showing you what is obvious which you tried to twist.
Islam › Re: Sorry Dad, I Quit Christianity For Good by thorpido(m): 8:43pm On Sep 09, 2014
Lanreylan: I am still looking for the word 'inside' in that verse.Removed simply means an abstract distance, check your dictionary and stop making false claims.'Whosoever is far distanced way from hell had indeed successful' that is meaning of the verse.Stop cooking nonsense.
I'm intrigued by how you worked one of the definitions of removed to favour your argument.Distanced from is not applicable in this case.
Removed as used in that verse means to take away from the position it previously occupied.Like when you say the cup was removed from the dining table.

I kind of wonder......why put them in the fire in the first place to later remove them?
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris Dont Know The Bible... by thorpido(m):
Simon Peter was mentioned as having a mother-in-law that was sick and got healed. The others were most probably married even though it was not mentioned. The reason is because the jews usually didn't make much mention of women.

However,I listened to Pastor Chris' words and I conclude that instead of making things better between him and his wife and seeking reconciliation,he seems to want to escape by using some bible scriptures.
Family › Re: Why Do Moms Prefer Their First Sons? by thorpido(m): 6:20am On Sep 09, 2014
First sons are usually like their crown especially when it's a first born except that child turns into a rebel.
It's usually not like that with first daughters.A lot of times they are even cat and mouse.
Family › Re: I Am Having Second Thoughts Concerning My Wedding by thorpido(m): 8:21pm On Sep 08, 2014
For you to have agreed to marry him and even start wedding preparations,i believe you must know him enough. You sure can tell if he is stingy or not.

Depending on what part of the country you are marrying from, some things are set out and you already know what you are buying as the man.For instance i bought the rings, the gown and paid for the cake.I also had to meet requirements on the list.
You and your fiance ought to have discussed at length what and who to buy what.Marriage is not only a man's responsibility. You ought to work together.
It's not everything you also discuss with your family.
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jews Reject Jesus, Why Should An African Accept Jesus? by thorpido(m): 7:56pm On Sep 08, 2014
plaetton: Initiated into the Jesus cult?
Jesus was born a jew, lived a jew and died jew, according to the bible.

So why are you, an African, initiated into the Jesus cult that the Jews have shunned and rejected?

Let me ask again, Are you smarter than they? Are you privy to some secret, that they, the Jews, are not privy to , and have been blind to for 2000yrs?
Initiated doesn't necessarily mean a cult.It means to be brought into or be part of a new beginning.I thought logic also studies.

I already answered your other question. It's a question of if you can see or understand the answer.

In other words, I am good, and others have the capacity to be good without the bull.shire of Jesus.
So why does any thinking African need Jesus.
You don't understand but there is a difference.
The initiated know the difference

plaetton: Jesus promised you eternal life after you die, right?

And why do you think you deserve eternal life?
What have you actually done with the few years you have lived so far?
I mean, what is your plan for eternity?
I have eternal life NOW.It's not something I will receive when I leave the earth.
I do not deserve eternal life.I received it from God as a gift.
I have lived making a difference to the world around me.Turning people from bad to good, lifting up men and being an encouragement to people.
I'm living in the eternal life that God has given me and walking in righteousness until I see Him.

kreamidiva: One thing i know about most of us Christians is that we live in absolute denial.

Things are going wrong,u are seeing it with ur korokoro eyes and u are still making excuses quoting the Bible. That all will be well.

I just distanced myself from a lady who came to give me reasons why i shouldn't separate from my abusive and cheating husband. When i narrated most of my experiences to her,she was screaming. Then after screaming, she would say "but nne,it's not the will of God for u to be separated from your husband. He is your husband, bla bla bla...".

Well,i know my Bible well enough to understand that God Himself was speaking and said "it is not my wish that you perish" and He went ahead to say again "I know the thoughts that I have towards you. Thoughts of good not of evil to bring you to a future and hope".

God has given us the wisdom to take appropriate steps especially when we are in the situation that isn't His will for us.

The blessings of God maketh rich and ADDETH NO SORROW TO IT!
It is well with you sis.

A week without your husband is like hell.Well that is your own case.
There are couples who don't live together for one reason or the other and they manage it.

I already stated her grouse is that she does not get quality time with him and rightly so.He ought to meet her demands more.
They were together before but as the ministry grew, she moved to head and supervise the church in Europe.

I no be their family member and I no dey C.E.I do follow their ministry however.

You have every right to feel the way you do.Trust if lost takes time to build again.
Have you sought avenues to make your husband change? From your post it seems as if he is unrepentant.

HIV and veneral diseases are real. For your sake and the sake of your child, you'll do well to keep yourself safe from your husband infecting you.

Move on with your life if the situation cannot get better.

I wish to know how your courtship was however. Was he this way before marriage?

MissSlimbody: D person u quoted didn't say she was abandon, but i'll say she was abandon.
Wat kinda marriage is dat, dat i get 2 see my husband twice in a year?
So, if not 4 those programs (higher life n IPPC) d wife n children won't see him @all.

If Pastor Anita asking 4 him 2 spend quality time with her n d kids is immature, den i also want 2 be immature.
I have already clarified my position on this.I quoted the guy because he gave the impression that they didn't see for those 16yrs but he clarified it in his subsequent post.

I only made mention of the two occasions but they obviously would even see each other more times than that.HE HAS NOT BEEN SPENDING ENOUGH TIME WITH HER.I agree with this and that is the woman's grouse.

By the way, there are couples whose spouses live apart and have done so for years. How they manage that is an entirely different thing.

lanrefront1: I said he has lived away, lived apart from his wife for sixteen years. Of course any normal person know they of course will be seeing during the sixteen years. And the wife did say those times are very few and far in between.

sorry, I disagree about quality time...this is more than that..... for reasons best known to him, he tactfully abandoned his wife....there is no other name for it. would your own wife take this. why can't you guys yell yourself the truth.

this arrangement is not a new thing.... there are many business men and successful men who favour this arrangement....they send their family to UK or US while they live the life of a bachelor in Nigeria....but even these guy-men spend a whole lot of more time with their wives than Pastor Chris
ok then.

Is it during the meetings that he will relax means snuggle with his wife and just relax and be silly?

Na wa oh
I already said he didn't spend quality time with her.I was just correcting the impression that they didn't see for those 16yrs.

lanrefront1: His wife needs his love and attention which stubbornly refused to give for more than a decade, and not prayers and more prayers.

In order, all the concerns she raised were merely due to her immaturity and foolishness. I now understand the hell this woman has been going through.

The question which begs answering his, why would any man talk less a man of God who is Pastor Chris insist from living continents away from his wife (and children) for so long that the years piled up to a total of SIXTEEN.
I'm quoting you just to put this right.Rev.Anita has not been away from pastor chris for sixteen years. They do see though he may not have been giving her quality time. There is a Higher Life Conference in London every year and Rev. Anita is always there in attendance. There is the IPPC conference in Nov. every year in Lagos,Nigeria and Rev.Anita is present.I don't know where you guys got the idea she has been abandoned for 16yrs.This is the kind of bad press he speaks about.

NB.I'm not defending him and don't attend Christ Embassy,I just don't like rumours.
Family › Re: Why Do Some Christians Condemn Divorcing A Cheating Partner. by thorpido(m): 6:56am On Sep 08, 2014
God does not want divorce because He expects love and forgiveness to rule marriages. However, divorce is permitted on grounds of adultery. It's practical because it puts the health of the partner at risk and ruins so many things.

Divorce is not the first option but if after periods of trying to make things work and there is no change, divorce can be the last resort.

jamalee: @thorpido. Why we Africans are so crazy about religion? Before Christianity and Islam in this continent, we are all Idol Worshippers and the whole World at large. Let me use Nigeria as a case study; we all worship idols. And during those day, there's trust, children obey their parents, we are contended and okay with what we have, we eat healthy foods and take natural fruits, no AIDS, STD, Ebola, etc. Those days, anybody that commits adultery would be stoned to death so the rate of commiting adultery is minimal. Food Sellers would leave their foods in junctions and put the exact amount they want to sell it. People will get there and eat and leave their money on the table for the Food Seller. When the Food Seller get to the junction in the evening, she will pack her plates and her money. Thesame procedure is also applicable to all the Commodity Seller. Now, what is happening with that trust? It has been lost. Rate of commiting adultery now is very high. Sugar mummies and Sugar daddies everywhere include Sugar sons. They will post that stupid offer on the internet like this; My name is Mrs. Lagbaja, I am looking for a young guy that is good in bed and satisfy my sexual want. Thesame thing goes for the sugar daddies and sugar sons, too. I'm not through yet. But I will continue by tomorrow.
Time is changing and has changed! The decay in the world had nothing to do with religion. It's a dying world and decay is inevitable.

Why are we Africans crazy about computers and the internet? Was it not the oyinbos that brought it?We should have rejected it since it was the oyinbos that brought it.
It's not about what is brought but how it is used.

Christianity is not a religion though many do not understand.Jesus brought eternal life.No prophet made promise of eternal life neither could they give it.Perfect christianity is faultless.

stevecantrell: All that restriction of fluid doesn't work from my observation of cases like that. If you go to bed with an empty bladder, your kidneys continue to filter your blood in your sleep.
You will produce at least 30 mls of urine in the first 3 hrs of sleep - enough to wet the bed with.

A lot of people recommend the alarm clock method but it fails after a week or two.

The best thing to recommend is that the man trains his PC muscle. With a well trained PC reflex he will be able to block the flow of urine out of his bladder while asleep.

He doesn't even need to be aware until the pains of the contractions wake him up. He can then get up and void in the toilet.

Works well for all ages 6years upwards.
Training the PC muscles is good. However,a combination of different things work better.
Urine production continues during sleep but it is significantly reduced so reduction of fluid intake is still advisable.
