What matters the most is a list of ministers ready to make a remarkable change. It's mere triviality to be upset over the timing of their appointment.

The upset is about the nonchalance of those in power in keeping with promises and timelines that they set.

This is a simple matter that is the exclusive preserve of the Presidency, yet they have failed their own target.

So if Buhari had not been proactive to employ the law to curtail the same delay he practiced, the Tinubu regime would have told us that Buhari took 6months to nominate Ministers, so we should not be in a hurry?

Dele Alake is known as Mr Strategy. What is strategic about making a promise and still being the one to come out later when the promise was due to claim until the President exceeds the 60days set in law, we should not complain?

Ministerial screening should be anytime from next month so that by that time, government must have understand the extent of the subsidy removal.

Infact, I suggested some weeks ago that the money saved from the subsidy should be kept for 3 months, FiRS collected highway Tax in the first 6 months, if you add all those together for 3 months, there should be something reasonable in terms of local generated funds to cater for the effects of the subsidy removal without borrowing

We must always hold the government to task over little things, else they would fail over more serious matters that would have dire consequences.

There is no dire consequence yet to the lateness of the cabinet nominations, but it shows the nonchalance of the government to keeping with their promises.

These 2 failures of the infant Tinubu government are close Aides and Senior Advisers who promised Nigerians in March 2023 that we would see a marked difference in the Tinubu administration, as it concerns the readiness of the Tinubu government to hit the ground running in terms of forming his national cabinet.

They both individually set a timeline of 30days ahead of the 60days timeline signed into law by Buhari, who ironically is the 6months late comer that did not want his predecessors to be like him.

Today is day 54. Today is also 24days overdue for the serious government standard they set. Dele Alake has suddenly gone mute. Bayo Onanuga has no official role in government yet, but we know he is a close confidant of President Tinubu.

A government that has proven to be unreliable in its promise over a simple matter of cabinet nomination, despite the many months of post election transition, and is now struggling to meet the lawful deadline of 60days, cannot inspire confidence in even its most ardent supporters.

This begs the question, how prepared is the Tinubu regime to tackle the serious and complex problems we have as a nation, if it cannot attain a simple milestone set by its own top officials for a mere nomination that is the exclusive preserve of the Presidency?

Are we on another roller coaster ride where indecision and delay is the order of the day?

Is Tinubu "shocked" that his ministerial nominations are yet to be released by himself?

He said, “I told you in an earlier interview that it didn’t take Asiwaju more than three weeks to form his cabinet as governor. That was as at that time. I think 60 days is even too much. A month, maximum, is enough for any serious government to form its cabinet and put a structure of government in place after the swearing-in.”

His position was re-echoed by the Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga.

Although he declined to give details, Onanuga distanced his principal from some names of possible cabinet members being mentioned in the media.

He added, “What I can assure you is that even if the list is not ready on the first day, it will not take Asiwaju more than one month to put his cabinet together. He definitely will not wait for 60 days to assemble a competent cabinet.”

Nigeria fuel at unstable N620 which can easily go back to N510, is at dollar value of $0.80.

Why is it so hard for you lots to accept that the totality of Nigeria is all the states which happen to be 36 and FCT.

Even a primary school child know that Nigeria since 1996 is composed of 36 States and FCT.

States and FCT is a description for Nigeria beyond electoral matters. The AND has always been there to describe the FCT in conjuction with the 36 states.

So concerning the issue of national spread in elections where the totality of Nigeria is concerned, it must refer to all the states and FCT.

That is because FCT is not a state for Nigeria to be referred to as 37 States. So it must always have the conjunction AND between the 36 states and FCT as the totality of Nigeria.

For the purpose of the national spread, the winner of the majority or highest votes, must secure 25% in 2/3 of Nigeria, which is 2/3 of all the states and FCT.

If the electoral condition of 25% was to be applied individually to only all the 36 states, and individually to the FCT, there would be a comma before the AND (all the states, and FCT), or it would be stated as a separate sentence.

That is not the case.

So the AND represents the togetherness of all the 36 States and the FCT, just as every child knows that is the total composition of Nigeria.
