Atiku has gone to disgrace himself in America. |
Tinubu on the lips of every patriot and rebel alike. |
Electorate:I have already compared the current prices. Ghana fuel at average of 14.5 Cedis at current dollar value of $1.26. Nigeria fuel at unstable N620 which can easily go back to N510, is at dollar value of $0.80. |
Electorate:This is the problem that you have that I have highlighted, for which you seek to create anarchy with lies and outdated information. If it was not an APC government, you would be OK with things as they are now, claiming we should sacrifice for a new Nigeria. |
Ghana Cedis is about 11.5 to $1. And you say fuel was sold as at 6months ago for 13.23 Cedis which is about $1.20. What is $1.20 in Naira at official rate of 774? N929 Is fuel in Nigeria up to N929 which is what it would be if buying fuel in Ghana with our Naira? Besides, your pricing information is from 6months ago when Nigerian fuel was around N200. Who is to say if fuel in Ghana is still 13.23 Cedis? The information online is that it is averagely now trading for 14.5 Cedis, as it continues to fluctuate just like Nigeria's. |
Electorate:I have verified that it is 6month ago, so stop using the outdated past to fool yourself in the present. |
Electorate:Dude don't disgrace yourself any further. I will school you here and make you look silly. I repeat that you are quoting a source that is 6months ago. A lot has changed in all those countries fuel price and dollar conversion rates. |
Electorate:If he is a well known APC slave, you have become a well known liar who wants to create chaos and anarchy. You are quoting a report from 6 months ago as your basis for creating anarchy in the country? Was Nigeria selling fuel at N600 6 months ago? Do you know how much it now cost in Ghana or any of the countries you copied carte blanche from your outdated source? Do you think the conversion rates remain the same? I work in the Oil industry and I will soon give you a complete and current conversion rate against the US Dollars for all the currencies you listed. I will leave you to do better research on what the current cost price itself is in those respective countries. |
Who told you 13 cedis is N487? Why do you lots like lying to make Nigerians hate Nigeria? |
samuel051:Why is it so hard for you lots to accept that the totality of Nigeria is all the states which happen to be 36 and FCT. Even a primary school child know that Nigeria since 1996 is composed of 36 States and FCT. States and FCT is a description for Nigeria beyond electoral matters. The AND has always been there to describe the FCT in conjuction with the 36 states. So concerning the issue of national spread in elections where the totality of Nigeria is concerned, it must refer to all the states and FCT. That is because FCT is not a state for Nigeria to be referred to as 37 States. So it must always have the conjunction AND between the 36 states and FCT as the totality of Nigeria. For the purpose of the national spread, the winner of the majority or highest votes, must secure 25% in 2/3 of Nigeria, which is 2/3 of all the states and FCT. If the electoral condition of 25% was to be applied individually to only all the 36 states, and individually to the FCT, there would be a comma before the AND (all the states, and FCT), or it would be stated as a separate sentence. That is not the case. So the AND represents the togetherness of all the 36 States and the FCT, just as every child knows that is the total composition of Nigeria. |
Zombies have no reasoning. Imagine lazy youths above already declaring their support for only 60+ year old "youths", while already rejecting an actual youth party like they rejected YPP. The way some reason, you would think that Peter Obi was not a political prostitute who would desperately hunt for ticket to fulfill his live long ambition that he must oneday become President of Nigeria.

This is a commendable decision. |
jmoore:Are you saying your brain is impervious to factual analysis presented in the argument? Why not give a table of a unit price of PMS for all African countries, so we see if the Nigerian price is one of the lowest or one of the highest in Africa. Already, we know ours is the lowest amongst our closest neighbours even as far West as Ghana and Ivory Coast. |
chukel:I have not decided if it is worth my time or the alternative forgone. |
I see no tension reported. |
Djoel:Are you admitting that David Hundeyin's brand of journalism is all about witch-hunt? He will stop sniffing Tinubu’s pants in favour of a Zimbabwean fragrance? |
Gondonu:I hope it is not the case of performing within a small space and little task, but not meeting up with the demands of higher responsibility as it plagued Fashola, whose notable performance as Minister is a mockery when compared to his trailblazing work as Governor. This is same Tinubu whose close Adviser reminded us that it took only 3Weeks to have his Commissioners appointed when he was Governor of Lagos State, and further promised that this time he would do it under 1 month as suitable time required by serious government. What is happening is a serious self indictment. The Tinubu regime has become its own worst enemy. Speaking with one of our correspondents on Friday, the Special Adviser to the president-elect, Mr Dele Alake, disclosed that it would not take Tinubu up to 60 days to assemble a team of competent hands for his government.https://punchng.com/tinubus-cabinet-ready-30-days-after-inauguration-alake/ |
OriOko88:On this matter of appointing ministers, he has lost the plot. This is a lost battle for renewed hope, but the war ensues. For the sake of Nigeria, we must not lose the war for renewed hope. |
ebenezry:We are watching keenly and closely. Whether Tinubu or APC like it, we must get the renewed hope they promised, whether they have it or not. Imagine something as simple as nominating a few Nigerians that have already been born, becomes a difficult task of looking for beauty in a country where the beautiful ones are not yet born. |
This is truly shameful. We now have to be thankful to Buhari for ensuring no matter how slow and inefficient the Tinubu government is with the ministerial nominations, he cannot, he cannot exceed the 60days that the new law stipulate. Buhari ensured that no government will come after him and be like him that required 6months to make a decision that could have come in 2weeks. Today is day 53. 7days to go. 23days overdue going by the serious government rule of Tinubu's own close advisers. Hit the ground running is now fully confirmed to be initial gra gra charade that successive Nigerian governments have put up typically in their 1st month in power. |
joyandfaith:Not Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti, but his older brother, Prof Dr Olikoye Ransome-Kuti who served under the Babangida regime during the HIV-AIDS pandemic era (late 1980s). |
We are still waiting for what is now 23 days overdue as per the 1month standard of a "serious government". |
mrvitalis:I don't need to know anything about Economics to know that a winning team who managed to grow the economy of Lagos to be the 5th largest in Africa, is the best team that is accustomed to achieving results. |
OfficialAPCNig:Hardship that we all knew would come once subsidy is removed. |
mrvitalis:The Economy is Tinubu's strong point. That is his Joker. Tinubu is Nigeria's first President who is a Finance technocrat and expert. That would have been MKO Abiola, but for the aborted 1993 election. He has his team from Lagos who are already the best there is in Nigeria considering their output for Lagos State within the context of Africa. Even the current Director General of the Budget Office (Ben Akabueze) and the former FIRS head (Babatunde Fowler), are part of this Lagos gang of economic experts. So do not be surprised if the economic roles you allege, are truly totally dominated by the Lagos gang, regardless of their respective states of origin. This is the era where Naija is now Lagos. This team have done it for Lagos while other states were sleeping. They are the best suited to do it for Nigeria. |
mrvitalis:While the news report is still very specilative for the names and roles mentioned, where exactly in the report did you read a Yoruba name as Minister of Health or Works as you have claimed? I would recommend that the Minister of FCT be given firstly to a SouthEasterner or secondly to a SouthSoutherner. It should not be the exclusive preserve of Northern politicians. In the 1st republic headed by Tafawa-Balewa, all the Ministers of Lagos where from the North. Yar'Adua and also Ribadu. |
seborrhic:Adeoye Lambo is the popular Professor of Psychiatry. Eyitayo Lambo who was Health Minister under Obasanjo, is an Economist who majors on healthcare systems. |
FreeStuffsNG:You are right about Prof Eyitayo Lambo, who was Health Minister during Obasanjo's 2nd term. He is an Economist whose body of work centered on health economics and health management systems. This is similar to the criteria used by most American governments to appoint health ministers. Even when they go for career politicians for the role, they settle for those whose political advocacy had centered on healthcare initiatives. He earned B.Sc. and M.A. degrees in economics and a Ph.D. degree in operational research applied to health systems. Professor Lambo taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Universities of Ibadan, Ilorin and Bendel State, 1974 to 1992.[3]https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyitayo_Lambo |
It is not weird by the American standards we love to copy and want to relocate to. Any profession can become any kind of Minister or Commissioner. Only the Ministry of Justice is exceptional because same Minister/Commissioner serves as the Attorney General who sometimes has to appear in court on behalf of the government. If I was President/Governor, I would never appoint a Medical Doctor as Minister/Commissioner of Health. I could appoint another medical expert like Pharmacist/BioChemist/MicroBiologist or even a Biologist or Food Scientist or Nutritionist as Minister/Commissioner. I would tackle health from the proactive standpoint of healthy eating and living. |
Imagine the person without credibility promising on something as complex as subsidy removal and palliatives as he previously promised and failed on something as simple as ministerial nominees.
