The Airline's account of what transpired differs from what was reported in the complaint filed on behalf of the affected passengers. Time and more counter accusations would indicate where the truth lies and who was the victim here - the 10 passengers or Air Peace. I noticed no mention was made about the delay that resulted in the late arrival in Nigeria. Also no mention was made about paying a No-Show fee on the missed flight for the eventual flight booked as was claimed in the complaint. |
eagleu:There is nothing disingenuous about a rational opinion I made, while stressing then as I have still stressed now that it is good this was done to a notable personality as it is being done to regular passengers, so that it gets the attention it deserves. You wrong a passenger by delaying his feeder flight such that he misses the connecting flight despite a 30min window of possible boarding. Then he should still pay you a No-Show fee for the missed flight that you caused? Why the airline will want to cheat a passenger who has the clout to fight back is quite absurd. Why regular Nigerians who suffer same treatment and lament their powerlessness to fight for their trampled right, but now suddenly take a fellow passenger as the villain because he is royalty is the reason why I never worry too much about the lamentations of the poor. The facts of the matter was already laid bare in the report, yet most are telling the passenger who is the victim to go fly his own private jet and quit disturbing the peace of those who will fruitlessly lament the same situation if such had happened to them. |
Maxymilliano:Dude, this matter should have been settled in favour of the 10 customers at levels way below the Chairman Allen Onyema. There is nothing new to Airlines delaying a flight that serves as a connection flight for passengers who have suffered delay on the feeder flight due to the same airline. In this case as reported, there was a 30mins window that could have allowed the 10 passengers make the flight even when the gate had been closed. I like that this was done to a notable personality and that it is being taken up to the right channels, so that the positive resolution can be of benefit to all passengers who suffer for the failures of the airlines. |
RenaissanceGuy:Why should the paying customer, whether royalty or peasantry, be denied the services paid for due to the failings of the airline? To add to that, you then charge the customer for a No-Show that is your own fault? It seems the airline really know the type of people that populate Nigeria, hence their continued daylight disregard of consumer rights. |
Maxymilliano:This is not about Allen Onyema, this is about Air Peace and all airlines who pass the burden of their failure on the customer. Why must a customer pay a No-Show fee due to the failure of the airline? Unfortunately, from the comments here so far, the Airline is not at fault as the customer should have no rights. Also, the customer must never make complaints about any business entity owned by an Igbo? Since it is an Igbo company, some have suddenly realised that flight delay might be necessary for the safety of the passengers? Very shameful tribal handicap. |
Truthisunique2:I am French. |
Truthisunique2:You are only putting a spotlight on your tribal insecurities. An Igbo man cannot make a decision without tribal considerations. Anyone expecting an Igbo to be rational or objective in a matter where all parties are not Igbo from the same village and clan, is akin to searching for snow in the Sahara. I ask you again, how is a customer who has been wronged by a corporate entity and seeking for a just redress, become a tribal matter to display Igbo insecurities? |
Truthisunique2:You shut up. The customer, whether Emir or Peasant, has every right to seek redress. Maybe in Igboland or Biafra, customers would never have rights, but my only happiness is that your clannish approach to every matter will continue in your future Biafra because it is in your DNA. An Owerri man dare not demand for his rights in an establishment owned by an Nnewi man. Or an Aba man dare not accuse an Enugu public official of corruption, it will turn to a case of "is it because I'm Enugu?". |
Truthisunique2:What is wrong with Igbos in this country? How is this a tribal matter? Can't you ever be objective and rational over any matter? Do you know how many times I have found myself in similar situation with airline failure burden that is passed on to the customer. When will you cure yourselves of this envy/victim mentality that is a tribal pandemic? |
Maxymilliano:What is the root cause of the delay? Why should any passenger miss a connecting flight due to the delays caused by the same airline, despite still having a 30mins window on a local flight? Then the effontery to charge a No-Show fee? With air fares now doubled, the customer must still suffer for the failures of the airline? Airline scheduling failure is part of operational protocol? |
I don't want to believe that an airline will be so stupid and careless to do to a 1st class traditional ruler what they typically do to helpless customers. The 1:10hr delay on the international flight is due to the Airline. There was still a 30mins window to make the local connecting flight, but airline refused. The number of passengers (10) in that situation was substantial enough to force a delay if required. The real insult is actually still charging a No-Show fee for their own incompetence and failure. I hope the Airlines can continue to trample on the rights of influential citizens who can fight them back until there is sanity to be enjoyed by all. |
That citrus and poultry farm she owned around the Agege area of Lagos is now redeveloped as Abimbola Awoliyi Estate, in the Oko-Oba Abattoir axis of Agege before Abule Egba. |
JOemmy:They have Scottish ancestry from the paternal side, while the maternal side is also mixed. |
Josh64:You are teaching PR to somebody who is also on a PR hustle? Her PR hustle only served as a pedestal to another's counter PR hustle that is more successful. Her own PR thread got owned by the opposition. You are the naive one between the trio. |
redPUSSY:It's seems you are upset that your own propaganda only served as a pedestal for his own more successful propaganda? If you are a paid media hand like he is, your employer will certainly not be paying for your fruitless effort. |
It's like the whole family wanted to catch a glimpse of a future President before he becomes inaccessible. Oduduwa707:Tinubu killed Funso Williams, yet the PDP federal police at that time was investigating PDP governorship aspirants in Lagos for the crime, at a time Tinubu was the sworn enemy of the highly vindictive Obasanjo who was the President and Commander-in-Chief? You just hide behind the anonymity of the Internet and say rubbish that even the Williams family will never say, yet when the long arm of the law touches you, you begin to stammer. |
JohnSin97:LOL Johnnyessence the paid media hack. Imole de okunkun parada. What a clown. |
Lanretoye:Hahahaha! |
The most important matter in the case of this boy. Since he got home having been contacted by the school to come pick up a sick child, what healthcare did the parents provide their son for the days when he was still alive? It seems it was spiritual care. |
socialmediaman:That is a question for PDP to answer. Remember that the then federal government was PDP (Obasanjo regime), and the investigating police is a federal institution. If I remember correctly, Seye Ogunlewe who was Minister for Works, and Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro who were both of the PDP were investigated by the police over the murder. Funso Williams was an aspirant in the then upcoming PDP gubernatorial primary when he was assassinated. Seye Ogunlewe and Misiliu Obanikoro were fellow PDP aspirants for the party's gubernatorial ticket. Williams' family later moved over to support Tinubu's Action Congress, whose successful candidate, Fashola, later appointed Funso Williams son as an aide, and renamed Western Avenue to Funso Williams Avenue. It was very typical for political murders to occur in PDP during the period of 1999 to 2007. |
I find it hard to believe the Kanu chained to the ground in DSS cell and begging the whole world for his human rights, is the same Kanu who was boasting that he can decide who lives or not. A typical African power drunk terrorist. |
Asgard73:You seem to have missed the part that a 75yr old Atiku goes to Germany for his medicals. Or that matter does not interest a hypocrite? |
Because, 1. Osinbajo's principal (Buhari) did not give him the freedom to run the government like Obasanjo gave to Atiku from 1999 to 2003. Till today, Atiku remains the most powerful VP we have ever had, because others would not make the mistake that Obasanjo made and learnt from it when he had to be begging his vice to allow him run for a 2nd term. 2. Osinbajo's principal did not come out to accuse him of corruption and chase him with EFCC like Obasanjo did with Atiku. 3. America did not indict Osinbajo of laundering funds into US through a girlfriend turned wife like Atiki has been accused. 4. Osinbajo did not put public funds (PTDF) in private accounts of himself and cronies like Atiku. 5. Osinbajo has not boasted that there is nothing wrong in enriching friends with his influence as a future President of the country. “No; that is not true. We got a letter from America in June 2006, listing a number of people to be investigated; Atiku was one of them and that letter went straight to the EFCC.https://www.nigerianeye.com/2013/09/obasanjo-attacks-atiku-accuses-his.html?m=1 |
Sahara Reporters will always sell their own assumptions and imagination as news. It seems all their insiders no longer give them information with hard facts as it used to be during the Yar Adua and Jonathan regime? Now they just add 1 + 1 and call it 11 and rush to publish suppositions instead of facts. So just absence from a few meetings in Lagos is the evidence that Tinubu has travelled out for medical reasons? Same suppositions that made them conclude he had travelled out to France during the EndSars protest, only to be ridiculed when the man showed up in Lagos. |
Blessedassuranc:My like that work with facts vs your like that want to force a skewed imagination on others? Ok Tinubu is 90yrs old. I hope your bitter soul is appeased? |
Blessedassuranc:This is not a beer parlour where anyone can make claims without fact. |
Blessedassuranc:Only an idiot will insist he/she must define the age of others without any fact. Are you sure you are well? |
Blessedassuranc:You should be asking the PDP National Chairman. |
Even the PDP national chairman has already confirmed that Tinubu was one of the youngest Senators in 1992, when he (Iyiorcha Ayu) was the Senate President. |
Even PDP national Chairman is confirming that Tinubu was one of the youngest Senators during the 3rd republic. By saying he was barely 30 was an exaggeration that still underscored that he was younger than his peers in the Senate, yet very instrumental to Iyiorcha Ayu's successful run to become Senate President in 1992. With the contacts that Tinubu has, don't be surprised if the PDP chairman might be his planted mole just like the Lagos APC group that recently decamped to Lagos PDP to do inside damage like previous Lagos PDP spokesmen (Wale Ahmed) and Chairmen (Moshood Salvador). When it is time for the governorship, Jimi Agbaje will come out from the doldrums to play his usual role of lame duck PDP candidate, while for the Presidency the PDP national Chairman will play his own role to reward Tinubu for his past good deeds. I think Tinubu's gift is foresight. He seem to be able to predict who can be useful in the future and build lasting relationships with them very early. Weirdly, those who have a problem with Tinubu being 69yrs do not have a problem with Atiku being 75yrs. |
Nigerians have grown beyond this trick. A blackman leave power he has been seeking for over 30yrs as a political prostitute? He must surely ask for the customary 2nd round. |
He thanked her for ignoring the "naysayers" and for sacrificing all her endorsements and influencing jobs to birth their son.No wonder many healthy females employ other healthy females to have their children through surrogacy. Just like those who refuse to breastfeed their babies because of a breast that must still fall. Thanking her for leaving her endorsements to have another child after 13yrs? This ugly low self esteem dude really worships his beautiful wife. Secretly, he thinks himself unworthy of his wife, and was still caught napping by his wife when he was sex chating an old acquaintance a few years back. That is his foundational problem. |
