Point of correction, Lebanon is not Arab. Same as Iran is not Arab. |
I will increase the capacity of our prisons to accommodate as many Nigerians as possible. This is because the majority of Nigerians have resolved that they will never let go of corruption. |
“They started fighting about tribe. I am not certain about this but I think the reason he (GTB) is fighting is because of tribe. I don’t know exactly what his problem is.Mr Innocent Chukwuma, you are the one who has always given this case between a bank and a single customer, the tribal inclination you have just reiterated again. Are you not the same person who while being arrested by the police concerning the associated matter of document forgery levelled by GT Bank, that your wife exclaimed that "is it because we are Igbo?" Or do we easily forget the tribal attack your PR people waged against GTBank with the plan for all Igbos to close their accounts with a Yoruba bank? Face your case with the bank. It does not concern any tribe, except of course, the clanish by nature cannot now resort to republicanism. |
Maybe he did nothing for her after publicly requesting that she meet with him, after her grace to grass story broke earlier in the year. |
true2god:You need rehabilitation from your delusion and Trump induced zombism. |
I would have called it nepotism, but I see it as having an eye that can be trusted, considering the function of that office to the success of the development strides/programmes of the Governor. John F Kennedy appointed his own brother as Attorney General of the US, on the firm command of his father, who wanted to ensure that his son was making the right decisions and also protected by the social conviction and smarts of the younger Robert F Kennedy. |
I reckon Avuru will take over. Shebah + Platform = Seplat. Shebah has had his turn, time for Platform to have his. |
Rather tell us why you did not implement the report. |
So he made his money through deceiving people to buy Yaba bend down select? Why would I want him to deceive me now with Lagos shirts claimed to be London? I see nothing to applaud in deception. |
alphaNomega:Oboy eee! Dem plenty. Nigerians are fantastically corrupt. If you know how hard it is for those earning over N1m to pay security guard or house maid more than N30k monthly salary. That is a robust topic itself. As for my discipline, all are in Engineering. I will withhold information on my institutions. |
Theunbothered:Dude I understand your point, but have you also considered that the system too is broken abroad, where high cost of education has made academic training prohibitive to their own citizens who refuse to indebt themselves, hence they depend on cheaply trained doctors from Africa who are too happy to get such pay without the baggage of student debts? There are a few winners in this matter who take the benefit of both Nigeria (cheap education) and abroad (better pay), but there are losers both in Nigeria and abroad. But the consumer abroad enjoys the benefit if they are ready to pay for the service. |
kowalsky:Congratulations! You have won yourself the award of "who has the most swear words". A competition for the gutters. |
kowalsky:I would like to think this is how communication is done by those who are not ignorant? Like an uncivilised barbarian? You are truly a product of Nigeria that remains unrefined, despite your best efforts, it follows you like smoke that cannot be hidden. I restate, I never contributed to your sufferings and frustrations in life. Like I already opined, the anonymity of the Internet provides bliss. |
kowalsky:I am sure you enjoyed free education while I paid quality Pounds Sterlings from my own sweat to get my education from Universities in England and Scotland. Yet, I'm the ignorant one? The anonymity of the Internet is bliss. |
Mason360:Dude, the only reason students abroad subject themselves to student loans is the reward they intend to obtain from the qualification, despite not being able to afford the cost. So while Nigeria cannot even grant student loans, the government would rather bond those who require free education. If the Nigerian would stay put in Nigeria, to earn cheaply from cheap education, there would be no need for such bond. You and Ngige are still saying the same thing, even though you think you disagree. |
kowalsky:Your type should only be arguing at beer parlours where bottles are thrown freely. Stop being a child of hate and mediocrity. Stop being a fool who dances to the whimsical tunes of crass politicians. Stop being a daft, easily manipulated bastard.I am too civilised to engage you inside the gutters, considering that I am not remotely responsible for your life frustrations. |
kowalsky:When you are done hyperventilating, you would realise that whoever wants cheap education and cheap service delivery, should never complain about poor remuneration. I work in the Oil industry having previously worked in Telecoms. I know what the likes of cheap Huawei did to the service industry in Telecoms, by providing the telecom operators cheaper services that resulted to poorer staff welfare, and for their competitors like Ericsson, Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent etc to stay afloat, they also had to overhaul their staff compensation strategies. Same thing cheap Indians and Chinese are already doing to the Oil industry. Lastly, are you ready to adjust to the tax rate of the Scandinavian countries you have so glowing mentioned that offer free education up to the tertiary level? A Nigerian earning more than N1m monthly is still bypassing his electric power meter so he can get to pay N10k monthly, while his actual bill should have been N30K which is still very affordable. |
Ade3131:I am sure I suffer as much as every other Nigerian regarding the shortcomings of our successive governments. Iike I opined, it is not just a medical sector issue. It is prevalent across all industries in Nigeria. We continually lose our human resources that are cheaply trained, to societies who have made education very expensive but with good rewards. Ask yourself why that Doctor or Engineer dit not struggle to be admitted to Imperial college or MIT, but was instead satisfied with the affordable education at Unilag where yearly tuition is not up to $100. Yet that same Unilag graduate wants a $100,000 salary in the US where his colleagues are still paying the student loan for the same medical or engineering degree that got them the job. If any Nigerian considers himself deserving of the better pay abroad, he/she should also ensure that the qualifying degree was obtained at the cost required for such abroad. |
oldtruth:I am saying in Nigeria you can be poor and still afford to go to the university and graduate debt free without any form of scholarship. I am also saying the societies we lose these set of Nigerians to, have their own citizens continue to pay student loans from the same salary we enjoy with them, having acquired our own qualifications in Nigeria without such debts. Those 2 statesments above are facts devoid of emotions. Those who have so benefited from the merits of the cheap education in the Nigerian system without the demerits of poor pay, while still benefitting from the merits of good job pay abroad without the demerits of very expensive qualifying education, are the winners while the losers are those who do not navigate across the 2 existing systems at the right entry points. |
I partly agree. Nigeria has become a training ground for professionals who would benefit other foreign societies. This is not just about Doctors but all professionals in Nigeria. We are mostly trained for "free" in Nigeria, then owing to the poor remuneration in the country, many who are already gainfully employed here resign to go take up job offers abroad, without having to take student loans like their peers abroad who are still paying back from their salaries. We work with them in their Google, or Microsoft, or Apple offices, in their law firms and hospitals, unknown to us that the salary we enjoy, they use to offset the student loans that got them the degree. We just earn the same salary as them in their country, and have no student loan to worry about. In Nigeria, you can be the child of a cleaner/janitor and pass through university with a lot of discomfort, but without owing a penny by the time of graduation. Abroad, the child of a janitor without a scholarship (academic or sport), is only in the university doing similar janitorial work. |
Why the apology? If I had the opportunity to meet Buhari or Osinbajo, I will go with trailer loads of records of government incompetence and also solutions to those incompetence. I will rather avail myself the opportunity of directly making my opinion known to them, than protesting or lamenting aimlessly on social media. |
Dartilo:You mean the same general populace that has already been subjugated with terrorism by IPOB? |
Why is IPOB concerned about a particular political party and trying to de-market it in favour of another political party? Is Emma Powerless now the spokesman of a political party participating in the Anambra election? |
PrinceOfLagos:You remind us why the black man has refused to progress in civilization and logic. Your education is a waste. |
Penguin2:You mean the Igbos have no purpose or ambition of their own? How pathetic. How miserable it must be for you, whose only ambition in life is to play catch up with the Yorubas. Your kids will surely inherit your anti-Yoruba obsession as their sole purpose in life. Shameless clansman. |
Emergingnation:Was it Fulani that killed Udala or Akunyili, or burnt down the house of the rich man who was tagged a saboteur? Was it Fulani that destroyed the goods of women who dared to display their wares when the almighty terrorist IPOB had declared a sit at home? Was it Fulani who shot a man in the leg for daring to disregard the terror called IPOB? The non violent IPOB only fool themselves like you. The evidence of their terrorism abound. |
These people are clowns. A terrorist group dictating what happens in the lives of free born men. The cowardice and subjugation in the SouthEast is repulsive. |
Emergingnation:He will come stronger with Biafra flag? And you think on that reminder of the kind of terrorists he is, the government will proceed to release him because his supporters are slaughtering the moderate Hutus among the Igbos? Your delusions are fully emerged. |
adamsmith914:I know that my children will grow old reading about the terrorist Nigeria captured from Kenya and how he is still paying for his crimes in prison. |
adamsmith914:No crime with agitation if it is within your right to demand for it. But a single individual forcing himself as the leader of a people who have already freely exercised their right of franchise to democratically and constitutionally elect leaders, should not be allowed to rest in peace being a terrorist. |
ajumma:They think the government has forgotten how the rabid animal did not honour the terms of his bail, while even causing more upheaval in the country, before he ran for his dear life while calling on Igbo youths to come and face the army him and his parents had already escaped from. Kanu is a closed case. He will spend the rest of his life chained to the floor, while he continues to humbly beg for human rights that his supporters have never accorded anyone who do not submit to the dictates of their terrorism. |
Fahdiga:When he was free on bail and setting up BSS when he is not a government and also promising his followers Buhari's head, or as a fugitive of the law giving instructions on where and who to destroy and kill during the legitimate End SARS protest, was that Kanu's way of stabilizing the zoo he wanted to burn down? Tribal sentiments aside, Kanu is a rabid animal that needs to be put down to spare the loss of useful Igbos like Dr Chike Akunyili. Kanu's destiny is to inflict sorrow on the Igbos. Woe betide him forever. |
