Wiseandtrue:Are you stylishly lamenting about the nuisance you have been urging on? Na so civilian JTF take start - hitherto terror apologists began fighting for their own survival and liberty. |
The question is why did a democratically elected Governor feel the need to flush out miscreants, terrorists, and insurrectionist from Oyigbo? If your terrorist bunch did not create a nuisance to the society there, would the constitutional state have a need to assert its rightful authority? And since that was done, Oyigbo has known peace and every man has come to realise he cannot terrorise his fellow man with dictates that did not emanate from the constitutional and recognised government. Wike needs to share his Oyigbo restoration blueprint with the SouthEast governors to restore democracy and human rights in that terrorised region. Only a foolish government will be afraid to ruthlessly deal with animals who themselves have no regard for human rights. Your true pain is that your terrorist group was ruthlessly uprooted from Oyigbo and by extension Rivers State. However, not without collateral damage, just as the ESN activities in the SouthEast has also come with its own collateral damage. This in itself shows all that IPOB and ESN can only guarantee a worse version of Nigeria with the Biafra it is peddling. |
Are they going there to confirm that nothing that will incriminate them on past judgements delivered in their favour was found by the security agents? |
Penguin2:AdeniyiAr9, listen to this guy. On another matter I will advise otherwise, but on this matter he has said it all. |
First child is Churchill after Churchill Olakunle. 2nd child is Godwin after Godwin Maduka. Very sycophantic parents. |
seunmsg:Buhari is sleeping. |
Equity15:The money I will give out this month end can buy me 2 new Lacoste polo shirts that I last bought in 2019, as wifey has barred me from such luxuries. I deprive myself enjoying the money I have worked for only to spend same on the legion of the needy. |
Equity15:CC: Idamond My Facebook, WhatsApp statuses have been dormant for many years. I don't upload pictures or congratulate wifey on birthdays or post lengthy sophistry on wedding anniversaries, or comment or like posts on Facebook unless it is very necessary like condolence messages for people I shouldn't avoid. All just so I don't reignite my existence in the consciousness of people who feel they must always depend on others. I ensure I live within my means, and even when I had little income in my early work days, I never showed any interest in the money earned by my family or friends who were better paid. Maybe it is pride, but it is pride everyone should have to help curtail the nuisance of dependence on others. As for picking calls I do not have in my contacts, maybe on a ratio of 1 out of 20, while notorious contacts I already know are kept calling till they get the message. Happy New Month on WhatsApp? guy I no dey reply am. But do these cunning measures of mine eliminate the nuisance of begi-begi? It only help to reduce it, as there are people begging at every interpersonal interaction these days. If you avoid the friends and family at the home or social front, can you avoid the security and cleaning staff in the office? Despite all my measures, many still consider me a cheerful giver. You can only console yourself that you are the one in a position to be assaulted by their needs, rather than you being in a position to be assaulting others with your needs. Don't let them pull you down with the burden of their bukata. They are everywhere lurking around, looking for Simon of Cyrene to bear their cross. |
Was there ever a rule that every region must have the same number of states? Ideally SouthEast should be 2 states. |
SRAROFDAVID:I believe the problem lies in the victim mentality and persecution complex of the Igbos, coupled with a clannish survivalism. The Igbo must introduce a tribal perspective to everything, as it is their only way to rationalise what response is required to an event. You will not be begged to join national aspirations, so worry less about tribal motives and agenda, especially when you know you will also suffer the consequences of the undesired status quo. |
SlayerForever:The writeup is very clear in its attempts to trivialise a national issue with Igbo revisionism. If Igbos have faced police brutality since the 70's, all Nigerians have faced police brutality since independence. That you failed to launch a national discourse over the specific events of police brutality in the SouthEast, should not prevent you from keying into one that was launched on behalf of all Nigerians over killings in the SouthEast and other parts of the South. Lastly, you cannot now begin to sorrowfully regret your failure to make the most of the National discussion that escalated on the subject last year. Besides your foolishness to suppress the protest in the SouthEast, you cannot suppress the fact that inspite of your failed efforts of suppression, details of SouthEast police and SARS brutality did come out to the fore of the National discussion. |
SlayerForever:The writeup itself is dancing about the issue and pulling the usual victim mentality we have come to know the Igbo for. Police brutality is not an Igbo problem. SARS brutality is not an Igbo problem. Both are national problems. |
Not once during the global endsars movement last year was police brutality in the east brought to the front burner. But here you are talking about endsars. Are you doing right by your people at home? Or you think the world starts and ends in Lagos. If you claim it was right and just that the End SARS protest did not gain a foothold in the SouthEast, can you then claim that it was wrong and unjust that the End SARS protest failed to bring your SouthEast SARS issues to the front burner of the national discourse? This is very confusing and contradictory. Besides, Awkuzu SARS got a lot of national mention to the point that the most notorious SARS personnel absconded from his new political appointment with the Anambra state government and disappeared forever since. |
SRAROFDAVID:How does that explain the false and absurd narrative that SARS protest should not concern the Igbos, then claim that Igbos suffer from the same SARS without any concern from the other tribes/regions in Nigeria? The arguments are so contradictory, and only seek to perpetuate the victim mentality that has become an entitlement of the Igbo in every national discourse. |
SlayerForever:Just as SARS wahala happens everyday in all of the South and Police brutality happen everywhere in Nigeria So why do Igbos have to pull the ethnic card on a national issue? |
Is Awkuzu SARS a yoruba problem? The protest was to end SARS and police brutality, so why is the writer making it look like any Igbo who participated was doing so in support of another region's problems, as opposed to a national problem fully experienced by Igbos anywhere in Nigeria? |
PrinceOfLagos:You are obviously ignorant and you needlessly exposed your need for education. Education is not free, but knowledge abound freely on the Internet, so stop shaming yourself. |
PrinceOfLagos:Has Tinubu ever ran away from America? Don't confuse Tinubu for Atiku. |
Asgard73:I had to bring your post here from the Gbenga Daniel visit to Tinubu thread, where you made the above comment. |
IPOB has given her a share of the Biafran national cake of agony. Is IPOB still appealing to UN and US and EU? Soon, even the IPOB members in US and Europe will be ashamed to identify with the terrorist group. |
Fahdiga:I'm doubtful I've ever liked your comment before. Certainly, that girl is a poster child for all that wrong parenting could possibly produce, right from her origins as an unwanted pregnancy that was terminated unsuccessfully. |
What is the name of their village(s) in Lagos? Or any waterway they sail as fishermen automatically become Ijaw waters? When they are done sailing as fishermen, which tribal land do they return to? |
Same NwaAro has been supposedly killed by ESN in Onitsha. Coincidence or IPOBic style of human rights? |
Both PDP and APC should grow some shame. Both parties failed Nigerians. |
Some flags can never be brought down. It is also time for Nigeria to live up to positive expectations instead of the worst fears. |
Wow! I never knew a topic could make front page hours after being created, despite not having a single comment. As for Mary Remmy, indeed you owe no one an explanation on how you choose to style yourself. You are an employer of labour and have created opportunities for many in the movie industry. Ignore irrelevant feedback that would not improve your vocation. |
Not much to be happy about. Our successive governments continue to fail in their duties to the citizenry who are now victims of an independent Nigeria. |
This is the freedom currently enjoyed in Biafra. The freedom to mandatorily support the will of IPOB. |
caracas:I repeat, by what recognizable authority is IPOB insisting it must have it way? Who is IPOB to demand for anything on behalf of Igbos who already have a recognised constitutional and democratic leadership? |
helinues:Can you imagine the brazen audacity of these terrorists and their sympathisers soon to become victims? |
