Odidigboigbo:Majority will always have its way in a democracy. Did Tinubu die even when his candidate was rigged out of the Ondo primary, and the party organ that should be responsible clearly admitted the irregularities only to be overruled by those (Oyegun) who wanted to have their own way? Did Tinubu's candidate go to another party to contest because Tinubu is more friendly with the President than Akaredolu? If you like scatter your party that has not done anything significant to fight corruption, Nigeria will be better served. Nigerians can do away with APC like was done to PDP. |
Odidigboigbo:Who is the single man Buhari would have danced to his tune by being an efficient party leader that did not condone anti-party activities and illegality like the caretaker committee? Who is that single man amongst the many party leaders who are irritated by Buhari's weakness and fickle nature? Did Tinubu's candidate go to another party to contest the Ondo election while Tinubu was still supporting Buhari, while Tinubu marched that candidate to Aso Rock because he is closer to Buhari than Akeredolu? You said a governor who refused to inaugurate a full state assembly and was also disqualified by his own party, went to meet the President and de facto leader of his party to let him know his next plans - decamping? So what has this good party leader achieved now with all the rancour in his party, while he is likely weighing on what matter to change his mind on? |
cktheluckyman:I have always bemoaned Buhari's lacklustre approach to his party's affairs, right from Saraki's betrayal of his own party and his disenfranchisement of his fellow APC Senators in their first legislative act to elect principal officers. Meanwhile, Buhari was sleeping while APC legislators were waiting for him at Aso Rock to commence the meeting to discuss on the candidates to support. What manner of party leader who is President would allow the opposition hold the Deputy Senate President role in a legislature where his own party is the majority? |
mach7:Indeed |
El Rufai is courageous and factual about the whole nonsense going on with the APC leadership including the presidency. Buhari lacks the capacity to manage a political party. He should have never involved himself in the leadership crisis, because he only made the crisis turn into anarchy. A president who would welcome his own party member (Amosun) to come sell a governorship candidate (Akinlade) of another party after he decamped from your own party due to losing out in the primaries, is not a serious party member. This was the same way he was receptive to Obaseki who was going to contest against Buhari's APC. Saraki saw he could mess with Buhari without any repercussions, and he did so by betraying his own party to become Senate President. Buni and his cohorts have also seen how pliable Buhari is. Any serious party member would be irritated like El Rufai is. Buhari is an unserious party leader. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for Buhari to kill corruption as it is still a pandemic in every level and office of government. |
DominusPrime:Did PDP give ASUU the monies agreed to since the OBJ regime? ASUU vs FG matter is not a political party debate. |
Oluwatobike:You mean 2019 not 2015. You mean the Atiku that lost his own polling unit in his village? The same Atiku whose loyalist like Saraki lost his ward, LGA, and state, with Buba Galadima not securing more than 3 votes for PDP in his own polling unit? You are the one not truthful to your self. You are delusional if you think Atiku won outside the SouthEast and SouthSouth. |
Rugaria:You are the shameless one here. He was implying that Soludo who is now in charge of the State had alerted the EFCC to the financial indiscretions of his predecessor, but being the defensive clansman that you are, you did not disappoint when needed to put up a show of shame. Shouldn't you be happy if indeed it was Soludo who pulled the strings with the intent that his own regime must recover all that have been stolen by the Obiano administration, despite belonging to the same party? |
richmanrichard:Exactly! Hence the bad blood between her and Bianca. If Bianca could not have an Anambra senatorial ticket, why should Mrs Obiano have such opportunity? Or did you not read the news from last month when Ex Gov Obiano said his wife would represent Anambra at the Senate in 2023? The same Obiano that prevented Bianca Ojukwu. |
This might be related to the plan by Obiano to have his wife be a Senator from Anambra in 2023, while Bianca who was married to Ojukwu who was from Anambra and founded APGA, was denied that opportunity and reminded that she is from Enugu. Meanwhile Tinubu's wife who is not from Lagos became Lagos Senator by virtue of marriage to a Lagosian. Also Senator Grace Folasade Bent who is Yoruba became a Senator from Adamawa by virtue of her marriage to an Adamawa man. |
Congratulations! Now no more excuses why Anambra did not become better than Dubai or Doha in the year 2030. We continue to claim we need technocrats in charge of our political affairs, as though all who have ruled different states in Nigeria since 1999 are not largely technocrats. Many have had the privilege of living in the Western world and draw from their better exposure, yet they prefer to launder Nigerian funds to attain a better livelihood in the Western world. By 2030, we would see what Soludo's solutions would achieve for Anambra, if he would have the will to be different than the lot. |
Odin13:Always proudly indicate your are a hopeless PDP supporter, so that all can see your wailing is strictly partisanship. If your PDP got anything right in 16yrs of power, strikes, fuel scarcity, epileptic power, terrorism, corruption, free fall of the Naira etc, would have been properly resolved in the country. APC would never have won the presidency. You should spend the rest of your life begging Nigerians for mercy. But even mercy said no. That is how hopeless the PDP is. |
Odin13:Power to the people in terms of what political party? Isn't that a PDP slogan? So a PDP political hack is so obsessed with an APC aspirant? Wonders shall never end. |
Odin13:Stop masking your fear with infantile threats. Tinubu, whatever might be his flaws that is synonymous with any Nigerian politician that has held any elective or appointed office, just received a massive national boost but all you still see is the shadow of Yorubas that your father set as a standard to catch up with. I am yet to see you promote your own candidate since you started wailing over Tinubu's presidential aspiration. Or is your candidate waiting until it is zoned to his/her polling unit before he/she will begin to campaign among party members who are going to be the delegates for the primaries? All those standing on Tinubu's mandate, and the rascals who have elected to stand on his manhood without balance, do you have your PVC to make your vote count or will you lose your balance and fall before the mandate is actualized? |
Where is the news in this tale? I was waiting to see the set of conditions, instead I saw a rehash of what is already known that Tinubu provided Atiku a platform to run and his plan to be his deputy was not actualized. |
talktimi:Did you read the fishbone story or you just read the headlines? If you read it and you comprehended the details, you would understand the connection with this particular report about his BP which still points to a frail health that could not recover from the surgery he had due to the stuck fish bone. Stop letting ignorance deceive you. |
Some conspiracy theorist will never agree to be enlightened. They will rather wallow in ignorance while forming woke and mouthing all manner of rubbish about deepstate or New World Order or assassination, over the death of an obese DIG with frail health who could not overcome the trauma of the surgery he had. |
A sad tale of zero maintenance culture for a national landmark. Hopefully, Lagos State government will be able to restore it and better manage it. |
True observation. |
YorobaPIGS:You can imagine the chaos in a world populated by your type? A news report has shed more light on the circumstances that led to the death, yet you are disgusted by the knowledge and would rather wallow in proud ignorance? |
papamalik:He did not die while eating the fish bone. The fish bone was only an incident that led to surgery which then led to a frailty that resulted in his demise. Read the news and stop reacting to headlines. |
betshopagent:Was your response really necessary as the right response to an inference made from the information available? Better you focus on betting than logical thought. |
“His health was so fragile because he was obese,” said the source, “and he tried his best to manage it, for example with the standard bed inside his office that enabled him to rest at short intervals whenever he felt weak.”He was certainly no longer fit for the job. |
Tochj:Are you saying Aguiyi Ironsi as Commander-in-Chief and Ojukwu as military Governor of the Eastern Region, also invaded Niger Delta Republic that was declared by Adaka Boro and subdued a sovereign state that only existed in Adaka Boro's head? Why did an Igbo ruler of Nigeria deny Niger Delta Republic its sovereignty, since you assume any group of people can just wake up and start claiming their own region of the country is now sovereign? Who is the hypocrite here? How does a separatist region (Biafra) of a country fighting war, compare to a well established country (Ukraine) fighting off foreign aggression from its bigger neighbour? Stop being emotional and start thinking rationally. |
Emergingnation3:Igboman remember your past and stop being a hypocrite who condemns national unity when an Igboman is not the one in federal power. |
Bobloco:I disagree. Such decampments have always been challenged in court. Most hide under the fact that their previous party was under crisis and factionalised. |
Was there a different constitution when Ortom decamped from APC to PDP with the Benue governorship? |
Emergingnation3:I am only reminding you Igbos of your despicable hypocrisy. |
Emergingnation3:The same way Aguiyi Ironsi and Ojukwu let Niger Delta Republic of Adaka Boro stand alone? |
If he boasted that he will rule for only 4years, the same jobless Reno will claim that as evidence that he is not fit. Reno should face his PDP aspirants and let APC face their own. I find it absurd that partisan hacks of one party are more interested in the details of a presidential aspirant of another party. What then will they do if the aspirant actually becomes the candidate of the party? |
I feel your pain Seplat will be the new Oga of Famfa this one no be media vuvuzela on Forbes, Alakija with all her years in partnership with ExxonMobil she is not buoyant to acquire Exxon assets in Nigeria ![]() Cc forgiveness:
What has your news report got to do with the Yoruba Alakija?
