TonyeBarcanista:You have changed. You use to research issues well before you write or respond but these days, you sound like the self-appointed APC information officer. Where and when did Dasuki admitted that Jonathan approved $2.2billion for arms? Provide the video link please because since the "media trial" commenced, Dasuki has not said anything unless the lies and propaganda published by the same set of government propaganda machines. Kindly provide the links to the video where Dasuki admitted your above assertion sir. The last thing I heard on National television from his lawyer is that the truth will come out in the open court ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJtdZ41IHwQ). You are also aware that Metuh allegedly said the same thing that we should wait to hear his side of the story in the open court. Bros, many of us love you especially your unbiased and intelligent opinions but lately sir, you have changed with the change. Hope you have not been "visited" too? Edited Even if you look at all the charges in court, no mention of arms money except private expenses of PDP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrAkRuPd45I&spfreload=10 |
It is time this economic team humble themselves and consult the former economic team to assist them or give them some clues on how to do it right. Things were still well managed then. Lastly, APC talks too much, they should talk less, it is not every thing they should call press conferences. Every signals from the government affect the economy. |
I can imagine what the police are telling the illiterate mothers who are not aware that the government has changed. They might have told them that the drama is over, they are in charge now. Mission completed afterall "you all no that your children are not trully missing. What are you still dojng in Abuja? |
I can imagine EFCC telling Metuh "Confess, I said Confess that you collected N400M". It is not the case of the accused to prove that he has committed an offence, it is the duty of the prosecution to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the accused actually committed the offence. Though confessional statement, coukd assist the prosecution but not sacrosanct, courts have severally discarded confessional statement if it is not truly confessional. It is shameful at this stage for the Efcc to be asking Metuh to disclose how much he collected or relying heavily on his statement. Does it means that he was just arrested to help them get/establish the offence to charge him for? What happened to other facts they have before arresting him? For me, looking at the way the money was distributed for election purposes, I am beginning to think that no arms money was missing. Where is all the fund PDP raised during presidential dinner fund raise. I guess this government just want to give a dog bad name to see something to hang it. They link PDP's campaign expenses to Arms deal to get people's sentiment and sympathy, no wonder they are afraid of charging them to court. |
In his personal account or company's account? |
akagson:That I closed my eyes to cross the express Road and nothing happened to me is not a licence for you to do the same. Omode bu iroko, o n boju w'eyin.....(a child abused Iroko tree and looked back thinking it was that day it will falls on him) |
Was he asking the question to mock some people praying against death in 2016? If your faith does not agree with what other believe or do, leave them before you provoke the anger of their God. (some will still get angry with this post). Guess what? Only the fools says there is no God. |
Good reasoning. This are the reasons why most of us are saying that the executive can not continue to break laws to uphold the law. They are breading anarchy. |
olalat:Thank you and have a sweet night. |
He is seeing well now....thank God. At least he is free now to talk since he was not made the Attorney General he was eyeing, the reason he sold his conscience and turn blind eyes to all the evil in the land. The next person I expect to give President Buhari good advise also is Pa. Sagay. You shall know and say the truth and the truth shall set you and many free. |
JaredNomak:That is the reason most of them left GEJ PDP, they hate orderliness. During Obasanjo's PDP, it was whatever/whosover ASO ROCk anointed that will win (do or die) but during GEJ, your vote must count. Hence they all left to form APC. |
akwaowoudo:Was there violence in Ekiti? No. Were the elections in Ekiti and Osun peaceful? Yes, very peaceful. Soldiers are robots, they obey the last command, whatever you see them do, is the order of the C in C. Their order, I guess, APC must win let us stop "PDP corruption" by all means by stopping them from holding any political office. |
godoluwa:Falana that is used to doing that is now blind. Why? He is a member of APC. That is why I remember Gani Fawehinmi everyday |
TonyeBarcanista:Not comparing them, how can I? It is like equating death with sleep. My point is, if you tie maize to your waist, you make yourself fowls' age mates. He that must eat cockroaches, must be ready to suffer belly aches. |
I know Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi will not allow any government suspected to be corrupt to organise any party for him. The reason is to avoid getting caught in this kind of mud. |
GGetting serious |
BOWOTO:It is not illegal structure. The shops were constructed by government many years ago and sold to the present owners. This new government gave them two weeks notice to quit middle of last year December which expires 31/12/15 and the shop owners refused on the ground that the notice is short. I was told the union leaders were arrested. I advised my client to remove his goods because this government is not used to obeying court order or follow due process and will demolish the shop at midnight or you will just notice strange fire but he said the shops are concretes roof. The government or contractor wants to build new shopping complex. Came on the 31st December to demolish it, were resisted, they went back, came again, were resisted before they finally surrounded the place with soldiers, police, KAI, lastma and the eventual demolition. |
Caveat: I am not holding brief for anyone. I support the war against corruption but my belief is that you cant break the law to uphold the law. Let me educate some of you who are supporting the style of this government. The APC led government knows that they cant win the cases of criminal conspiracy or stealing against most of the people arrested so far if they go on trial because most of the noise they are shouting here can not stand in any court of justice. Our courts are courts of evidence and not courts of sentiments or propaganda. Evey matter must be proved beyond reasonable doubt and once there is a little doubt, it would be resolved in favour of the accused because it is better for hundred criminals to evade justice than for one innocent man to be punished. The procedure in our criminal justice is that, you can accuse anybody for any crime and on the day of arraignment, all he needs to do is to plead guilty or not guilty. The court will not take or listen to his defence on that day even if he screamed that he is innocent. The court will grant him bail if the offence is bailable and if not bailable, he would be remanded in prison custody pending the determination of the case. You can imagine how long that will take before the final determination of the matter. Yet he is innocent. The prosecution will open and prove his case after which you will open your defence. It is at the end of the trial that the court will determine that the prosecution did not/was not able to proof the case against you beyond reasonable doubt. Then the matter will be dismissed and the accused acquitted. Before then, 1) your freedom would be taken away before you perfect your bail, 2) You will be embarrassed and labelled thief and corrupt person or criminal. If you follow the trend of this government and the previous PDP government, you will observe that they hardly conclude any matter successfully in court and this government can not win most of the cases they are charging these PDP men for. The reason they refused to allow many of them to enjoy the bail granted by competent courts. Le us examine few of them DOKPESI We read that he was accused of receiving money from NSA for publicity and the money was labelled part of the arms deal scandal. The truth of the matter is that there is no way the government can win the case against Daar Communications or its directors who were not government officials for the contract it entered with the government independently and executed. Whether the money was stolen should not be his problem since he was not working in the office of the NSA or an elected or appointed government official. Many of us that run companies or those of you that are contractors, how many time have you asked any company you are supplying or working for about where they got the money they used in paying you? We dont ask question (presumption of correctness) because that is not our concern. Your business is to execute the project and get paid. We all know that AIT carried out the image laundering of the government and PDP during the election, infact, the main reason he is being prosecuted. Anybody the government wants to keep out of circulation, all they need to do is to accuse you of receiving or alleging that they traced money to your account from the NSA office. Have you even asked the states Governors how they spend their security votes? If you are given the details of all that receive money or got paid money from security votes, you will laugh. The reason why many people receive money from the office of the NSA and the question should be.....the money given to them, were they used for the purpose? For Example, If I dont like Seun or barcanista's faces again, all I need to do to keep them temporary out circulation is to write a frivolous petition to the office of the IG or my division Police station that they are threatening my life and further made an attempt to kidnap my wife. They will be arrested and I will insist that the matter be charged to court. it only at the trial that they will tell the court that I was lying but before then, they would have spent some days in Kirikiri before perfecting their bail and after perfecting their bail for threat to life, they would be rearrested again for kidnapping (The new style in town). Life example: I was in court one day, A young man was brought to court and the charges were 1) possession of firearms, 2) Attempted murder, 3) Threat to life. This guy was remanded in prison for about 2 years and every adjourned date, no IPO or complainant in court. On that day the magistrate asked him what happened. The guy said he is a tiler, he worked for one rich man but the man refused to pay him and after many attempt to get his money he sent a text message to the rich man that if he continue to refuse to pay him "oku a sun" (Person go die). After receiving the sms, the rich man tricked him to come and collect his money, on getting to his house, he was arrested by the police, on getting to the station, the police brought out a black nylon bag that contained a gun and alleged that it was his own and that was how he saw himself in Kirikiri and wasted 2 years of his life without any trial. The magistrate struck out the case that day. I can tell you that there are many people in detention for things they know nothing about. Dasuki has not said anything in all these allegations, all he said was that we should wait for his defence at the trial to see revelations. I just hope he has something reasonable to say and for all condemning those accused "agbejo eti kan dajo, agba osika ni" (It is only the wicked that judge or condemned based on one sided story). This arms scandal will not finish because it is a good alibi to get people's sentiment to accuse anybody of corruption. The same way Buhari name appeared on the SUV and £300k gates is how many names will still come up, if we can accept Buhari's defence, we should also give others the benefit of the doubt. Our laws say every accused is presumed innocent until. Whatever you permit will increase. It will soon get to your door step. |
Since Bokoharam is "technically" defeated, NA needs something to keep them busy hence creating another monsters. The same way NPF and NA handled Yussuf, Bokoharam leader matter and the result is where we are now. Security hardware contract on my mind. |
I don't think any reasonable people would be against the fight against corruption but the mode and style of our president. You can break laws to uphold the law and nobody knows it all. That is only one judge presides at High courts but because, he can know it all, three justices priside at Appeal courts while five at the Supreme court. Buhari can't know it all and decide who is wrong and right. Nemo judex in causa sua (you can be a judge in your own case). The executive has accused, the Judiciary should be allowed to decide. |
I sympathize with APC too. You cant go far if you hate criticism. It helps you to do better on your mistakes. |
We know it was for those that always wanted to hear sweet promises. For me, I know APC is good at making promises it never plans to fulfill. It has never fulfil any and can't see any plans or policies on ground to fulfil any. |
nogames:...they are practicing theocracy like us abi? The system of government then was not democracy where you have parties with different ideologies but monarchical and theocracy. They won't be accused of getting involved in government BC they were simply playing their roles. The oracles of God. The system here is different. |
I know you won't expect Oga IG to tell us that he is creating a window to raise money for himself and the consultant but will hide under "we are fighting crime". The same reason FRSC changed plate number and can't remember if crimes have reduced. Nigeria leaders are genius, they always identify opportunities. |
That journalist that asked Buhari the questions that got him exposed as a dictator would soon be arrested by DSS for collecting brown envelope from Dasuki. Guess you still remembered how baba looked at him yesterday before asking him whether he was a lawyer. That guy should watch his back, even me too. |
Ok |
Modified APC finally got another seat in igbo land. Ask me how? Otti will soon decamp from Apga to APC. The message here is Alex Otti will dump APGA. Remind me when it happens. |
luvinhubby:Even if proven to be innocent, Buhari will still not release you. If you are discharged PMB will recharge you again and again until you technically spend the years for the prison term in detention. |
onatisi:The only things PMB was fully aware of are the trials of Dasuki and Kanu and the disobedience of court orders by DSS. Every other things, he does not know and all you hear is "I think......" |
735i:Now you see the reason why Kanu gladly applied to remain in detention rather than stand his trial because he believes the government will not obey any court order even if he win. Buhari does not believe in rules of law. Stop blaming the DSS for the disobedience to court orders. Buhari is involved |
