We read that President Buhari is planning to convey emergency economic conference. I felt many us could suggest ideas that could save the country from the present predicaments and ideas to move us to the next level. Let us contribute and write our suggestions here, who knows someone somewhere may read it and use it. My suggestion: I suggest that the CBN should reduce the interest rate because our products can't compete internationally with goods from countries with lower rates. The price of our goods can also be competitive locally if manufacturers have access to funds at lower rates NB No APC and PDP or PMB vs GEJ matter here o. Let take this matter serious? |
WhatsApp the popular cross-platform messaging service, has decided to cut support for a number of those platforms. That includes all versions of BlackBerry OS, including BlackBerry 10, by the end of 2016. WhatsApp will also end support for Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1, Android 2.2 and Windows Phone 7.1 by the end of the year. From the WhatApp blog: While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don't offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app's features in the future. This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp. If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp.The company said it was making this decision so it could "focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use." If you're using WhatsApp on BB10, what do you think of WhatsApp's decision? Source: http://m.crackberry.com/whatsapp-end-support-all-blackberry-versions-end-2016?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

bewla:Nigeria is already in a serious crisis, unfortunately, our press will not tell you. Everything buy-able has gone up. The inflation is higher and biting. |
I used to buy a rim of A4 paper at N400, but when the dollar issue started, it moved to N900 per rim. Yesterday, I sent my Secretary to buy one rim for me, I was surprised when she returned empty and said it is now N1,600.00 per rim. I have been thinking about the implications of this since yesterday and it dawn on me that people that make photocopies will suffer it more especially the students because the cost of handouts, term papers, assignment, projects and seminars will increase. Imagine photocopying at N50 per page. As for me, the clients will pay for it because the price of letter writing, quit notices and briefs will go up. |
Either of these two assumptions will happen 1) The FG will soon withdraw the charges against him but asked him to withdraw his case first before settling the matter out of court. 2.) He withdrew it to refile it, he might have noticed some errors in his processes. Whichever reason, they will settle the matter against him out of court. |
K9Uneet:You just did dear, you used probably 20kb data posting this. Trust me, I won't post any comment on these their jokes. Guess what? I just did. |
When there was artificial scarcity of fuel and blackmail from oil importers last year, it was this same man that saved Nigeria. I believe he has something to offer and only needs government backing. |

Good news for |
TonyeBarcanista:Though, GEJ testimony is critical to the case but the Prosecution is at liberty to call any witness it desires, no defence can compel the prosecutor to call or not to call any witness. In legal palace, Metuh was only trying to use that weakness and the importance of Jonathan testimony in this case to get justice. But based on the facts before the court, there is a presumption of correctness on the contract saga until the authorising officer (GEJ) comes up to deny it. Till then, NO CASE SUBMISSION. |
TonyeBarcanista:It is not the duty of the defence to proof that he has committed an offence, it is the prosecutor that must proof beyond reasonable doubt that the accused has indeed committed the offence. Like I earlier observed here, EFCC has not been able to establish that Metuh has committed an offence. So sad but that is our laws.. |
Icecomrade:The main reason why she does not want to press charges was because she is yet to recover from the accident case. Nothing is free with the police. |
TheGoodJoe:Bros, read the news again, you will understand the intention of the guy and agreed with me that PM news did not capture the story accurately. In his statements, he said a man double crossed him when he was going into the estate. OK? When is a person likely to suspected of stealing a car in an estate, is it on your way out or on your way in? He was stopped by one eagle eyes man, who suspected the way he was driving out of the estate that stopped him and asked the gate to be locked and while they are still interrogating him, Flora call came in and he lied that he was on his way home from wherever before the man collected the phone from him and informed Flora that he should come and identify him. It was then she informed them that her car was missing. PM only concentrated on Val story for whatever reason. We were all shocked when we saw the news online yesterday because Flora was not willing to press charges nor the publicity. |
TheGoodJoe:This is what the boy said from the same news “After driving the car round Ajah, I was on my way home at about around 8:00 p.m. when I saw Madam calling my set. She asked me where I was and I told her and she said I should come to her house, that I was going to take her somewhere...." Madam called her to take her somewhere with the car she has original keys with her and he drove away with duplicated key without her consent? How lame? |
TheGoodJoe:That is what you read from the news. Hope you read from the same news where it was stated thatbhe does not work on Sunday? Guess you also read where the woman stated she parked the car when she came back from the church from the same PM news. It is a free world, you are free to believe whatever you want. You are an adult and responsible for your action and believe. "I was on my way home when madam called me to come and take her somewhere...." Madam called her to take her somewhere with the car she has original keys with and her and he drove away with duplicated key without her consent. How lame? |
None of the above. I go for Christian girl (a child of God). There can't be fake Christian, it is either you are a Christian or not. That you refer to a fake is a proof that she was never a Christian. Finally going to church or Church girl does not make you a good marriage material. |
adeaks:Judges are first lawyers. They can still be friends, and could still belong to the same club, play gulf, etc together. I hv many of my colleagues that are judges, prosecutors, we are still friends, though may oppose each other in court. It becomes evil when we use such relationships and friendships to pervert justice. |
nickxtra:Efcc did not release the call log, Sahara reporters did. |
Icecomrade:I am an insider, the news is not a full reflection of what happened. The truth is that when Flora discovered that her car was missing from where she parked it, and after searching for it for some minutes by asking neighbors, it was then that somebody suggested that she should call her driver. Before then, one good Samaritan who also lives in the estate instructed the security men to lock the gate when he suspected the driver by the way he drove recklessly in the estate in an attempt to take the car away. When he was stopped, then her madam's call came in, then he lied he was on his way home before the man collected the phone from him to inform Flora that she should be coming to the estate gate that her car is with the driver and should come to identify him before it was now discovered that the car they are looking for was removed by the driver without her consent with a duplicated keys. The Valentine's story was the driver's story to escape and attract sympathy to distract stealing accusation. He was just taking the car away when he was caught and not that he was returning it. While this was going on, RSS men came, the madam said she does not want to press charges but the RSS men insisted on taking him away. He would have been released but his family insisted that the madam should give them the 50k to bail the suspect which she said she can't give them. Last December, the driver hit and broke about four people's leg and condemned the car she was using before. The case is still in court, the madam spent so much money to settle the victims/case before this driver's attempt to steal her new car that she bought in January this year to replace the one he damaged. |
Read your Bible. Tithe is from your profit not from the capital. When you tithe the seed/capital, you have nothing to sow. |
Iroh88:I picked only one thing from your comment and the thing is that Buhari will persecute and prosecute you if you dare to disagree with him even if you are right. |
Ok, the ultimate search is still on. |
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up... Job 22:29. This is the heritage of the righteous. |
GudluckIBB:I don't know if you are a Lawyer but from a simple criminal procedure, every crime must be proved beyond reasonable doubt. Once there is any little doubt, the court must decide the case in the favor of the accused. That is the position of our laws not sentiment or media trial. One of the mistake of Efcc is to bring a witness who confessed in court that Metuh gave him a contract and he carried out the contract successfully and another saying he did not eat or turn his statements and an attempt to tender unsigned statement. |
GudluckIBB:How is that a crime? I have some investment in shares, real estate etc and people are managing it for me. Does that make me a criminal? Did you also observed where one of the witnesses said Metuh had no dealings with Dasuki and the 2M dollars is not from arms money and no documents from Efcc to back the allegations. |
That is what a smart lawyer or law student will do in the instance case. Like I earlier observed, Efcc has not linked Metuh to the alleged crime in all the evidence and witnesses called. |
When I said Buhari does not have budget and National Assembly to audit his spending as Military head of state and that he may be corrupt too, some people wanted to cut off my head. A lot happened in the dark and the reason he censored the press then and wants to do now. This was my contribution yesterday. If we are allowed to investigate all that happened before the Buhari second coming, you will agree with me that all the people that are in APC today are the problem of Nigeria. |
Caseless:at times, I feel like responding to some post here but at times, something inside of me will tell me not to bother because 1. No matter how reasonable the reasons in my post may be, they cant reason. 2. They are kids and jobless and more so, the victmim of the problem we are trying to correct. 3. Blinded by tribe and religions 4. Are employed even to criticise and counter anybody against the present government even if it is their own personal thoughts. 5. Are beneficiaries of the fraud thus compromised their reasoning. 6. They know that what I am saying is the truth but too weak, corrupt, compromised and shameless to admit it. 7. Finally, they are victims of a wise saying that says "A fool will say, I have made up my mind, dont convince me with the truth". My dear, I worked with Nipost for about Six years, served and lived in the North for 15 months and by the priviledge of where I served, I slept and visited all the Local Governments in Yobe state except Buninyadi, I even visited Machina, met the governor, Bukar Abba Ibraheem, related with many government officials, confered with a chieftancy title in Daura. Please whatever an epilepsy man tells you about heaven, believe him because nobody has gone and come back like him. Take final notice, I am an ijebu man and a proud Nigerian. Nigeria can be great if we see things and say it the way it is notwithstanding our selfish benefits. |
You cant understand what she is saying until you work in Federal government agencies where mediocrity is promoted on the alter of tribe and nepotism. Like I said yesterday, many Northerners, (Few of my northerner friends are hard working) even in their states do not work yet collect salaries (Remember yesterday's story where 30 drivers collect salaries over one working car). Let us call a spade a spade, we cant grow as a country if our appointments are sentiment, religious and tribal based. As an insider, our leaders need to wake up and stop pampering our brothers from disadvantaged states on mediocrity. |
When I said Buhari does not have budget and National Assembly to audit his spending as Military head of state and that he may be corrupt too, some people wanted to cut off my head. A lot happened in the dark and the reason he censored the press then and wants to do now. Guess what, the world has changed. |
