You are completely wrong there. All reputable UK universities require a second class upper degree and a "postgraduate" diploma is simply a bachelor's level remedial program.
It is simply a means for those who have substandard results in their first degree discipline to update and refresh their subject knowledge.

You are absolutely wrong!!

Yes I do.

A friend of mine had a 3rd class degree and recently finished her MASTERS from one of the universities in the Uk, not forgetting she had a few years working experience (3 yrs) before applying!

Different universities have different policies; contact the universities you intend to study and see what they have to offer

@usetime,

I suggest you apply to as many universities as possible in the UK. Universities have different admission policies, especially for adults.

Do not let your third class degree put you off from progressing your career in Nigeria or anywhere else.

See list of recognised degree universities in the UK and links to their website:

wanna know if i can get admission directly into a master's programme
in finance/banking/economics
with this cgpa i gat. its really low . cgpa less than 2.0
i would consider postgraduates only if i can't get direct admission into
master's. but the costs of postgraduates and masters programme would too high !!
i'm talking of the u.k fees for international students.
will english tests scores help out. e.g toefl , ielts?
on the other hand , i'd like to know if a nigerian postgraduate diploma
would qualify me for direct admission into a master's programme over there . or whether i'd still be nailed for the 3rd class afterall.
then, if the worst comes to it - are nigerian master's programmes really
considered so inferior to their foreign counterparts in the international
scene -
since the paper is for job and career advancement - i may do naija own
if i'm bounced for visa.
just want a place where i can save time . 1 year masters. or 2 year masters + post graduate.
will a gmat test score + toefl / ielts enable me to enrol directly into a masters programme. really want to know.
i don't really care about the country - so far as i do the stuff in less time,
experience 24 hour electricity, can work and school,
low cost of living or affordable, high quality of tuition (world class)
please give feedback.

Yes, You can have your Master's done, with a 3rd class degree!

Some universities in the UK accept 3rd class without IELTS

I agree with Dayokanu on this issue, this was the same guy who stood by his wife for the 5 years she could not conceive, helped with the costly IVF procedure, donated his spermatozoa, rather than act like the typical Nigerian man and go and get another wife to replace her, NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, HE IS EVIL AND HAS MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF HIS GENUINE CONCERN ABOUT HIS CHILDREN'S SAFETY AND FUTURE

And like Dayokanu said, this should have been discussed whilst courting. Mind you if this story had been = My husband wants to divorce me or I want to divorce my husband because he wants to send the children to Nigeria, these two faced hyprocrites would have been the one preaching to the girl to go on her knees, cook his favourite soup, seduce him, blah blah blah and if all this fails, agree with him, he is the head, respect him, don't question his authority, blah blah blah

Big ups to Myjoe, Makayibbz, and ziga for setting the record straight. One would think everyone in Nigeria drops dead before the age of 21 from numerous diseases the way some ojuorolari here condemns the Country undecided

Kids like svosi are reasons parents should raise their children in the Western world rather than ship them off to Africa  at all. Asians in the Uk send their kids home from age 7 compared to Africans who wait till child is 11 upwards, as they believe that is the right age to instill discipline and looking at statistics, whose children turn out worse? Which race is always making the headlines?

And as for the daft bint comparing crime rate to that in Nigeria, is it not in UK that a child is either stabbed or subjected to a violent assault every 45 seconds in the UK by another child? Is it not in the UK that you can't send your child to the next postcode or street because he will be chased and shanked(stabbed) by his fellow children for tresspassing their territory?  Is this level of mindless violence available in Nigeria? And y'all can keep your head buried in the sand if you think this only happens in Hackney, Peckham, Stratford . . , undecided

I will try to be nice n’ gentle with you dear

Don’t be ridiculous!  angry

A couple tries so hard to have kids and eventually found a set of twins using' flash light searching thru a small hole ' (IVF), the parents should be much more closer to kids after going thru such an ordeal to have kids of their own!

I will give up my corporate job and take up a teaching job in the kids school, to always have them in sight; if i was the parent!

Violence in USA; people are being killed everyday, young, old, the young are sent to country home (Nigeria for proper upbringing  'cos Nigeria is a safe haven, no record of crime rate, no kidnappings, no cultist, and there’s value for human lives    lipsrsealed ) but the old (parents) stay behind?    undecided

@ OP,

Parents have the role of bringing up their kids in the best possible way; not the Grandmother. The Grand is just an interfering woman! Did she give her son (the man in question) to her grandma for proper upbringing when he was little?

Actually that is the only thing he or she does here. Either posting about platinum on this topic, or Another topic about this same platinum issue or the Auto section. The moderator here allowed him to paste someone's real names all over the thread despite removing the main controversial topic from this website. It is not really difficult to make connections but of course it will be named "baseless allegations" because someone is hiding something.

It seems someone is still looking for traffic by trying to get unwarranted attention undecided

Inspired,
First of all, I wish you goodluck in recovering your lost money.
But Are you trying to tell us that there was no other way to go about contacting her parents before putting up a young lady's name as a criminal on the internet ?
What you failed to see was that things like that could damage her life forever.
You posted her home address here if i remember correctly, posted her siblings and her mother too.
In order words, you smoked the Parents out of the holes to attend to you ? attaboy!.

You know, My stand from day one remains that there has to be better ways to go about things like this.
I remember asking if you contacted the parents and no one answered that question.
Then i also suggested legal actions which i believe was appropriate but some people were just Drinking and celebrating because someone is being brought down to zero. The reasons they gave was that she did the same to The Seeker. So much for "an eye for an eye"
Wow! How do we really plan to Rise if we wish other people to fall ?

Everybody is happy. At least there are loads of handlesto  rivet agaba with.

I did not want to say anything. I wanted to keep quiet  but I think like Saul said, my silence could be misinterpreted.

There are two allegations BB has been harping on and i have tried to address them before. I wanted to get a concrete evidence but I guess that is not possible.

1. I said she (BB) is jeny. Yes I said that but I accused her of that in the public. The accusation I withdrew also in public. If the mods can pull up the thread where Whitelexi was accused of being a serial flirt. I will point my posts out. For reasons she knows, I had stopped talking to her on YIM before then. BB I have not chatted with you again after the epistle you sent to me about london BBQ. If i said anything to you after the abuse on that thread, It was probably an offline and it was one-off. I do not keep YIM records. If you keep please bring it out. You said I said that you are Jenny on YIM again, what different does it make when I had said that on the forum.
As per getting Jenny to know I said something on YIM. I do apologise to Jenny for the mistake and also for repeating that on YIM.

2. She said I was talking to Damysa about Jenny.
This is the thread for all to see
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-467117.0.html

I referred to Jenny in not more than 3 posts. Unfortunately my posts have been removed with the curses that damysa and Jenny were raining against themselves.

In one of those posts I said 'Jenny again' or  Jenny in her element' or something like that.

In the another one, I referred to her as my ex-wife and asked  her that he should stop the fighting. It is possible I also advised damysa that she could not win Jenny in a  fight (not sure) on the thread. I remember her saying she would stop replying Jenny based on my advise. Everything I said on to Damysa was on the thread. I cannot remember saying anything negative against Jenny in those posts.

I do not know who Damysa is outside of that thread or nairaland.

Jenny posted immediately after two of my posts that referred to her. She never said a word.

I have asked Mukina to restore my post because they were harmless and  were deleted with everything that was related to the fight. I asked because I thought it would still be in the hard disk  like my eyecandy  thread  grin but she said deleted is deleted.

You can check my other posts in the thread and see how I was not advising the woman correctly.

Is this a case of ' give a dog a name and hang him'

I will appreciate it if you can accuse me correctly. If search well, you will find one that is a correct accusation. I am not in any way near perfect. You do not have to waste your energy formulating something that is not there.

I do not know it is a crime to have a different opinion.
