I totally agree with your submission. Oshoala not getting goal scoring chances isn't surprising really (can be annoying like you opined), but I also think it isn't peculiar to her. Geyse also experiences the same though she tends to experience it less.

You'll notice Oshoala is trying to adapt by sometimes dropping deep and going wide. It's largely to ensure she's also a part of the play. It can be frustrating if you are on the pitch for a long time and hardly ever touch the ball.

But like I said, they aren't doing it because it's Oshoala (even though I concede she gets less of the ball than Geyse), I think it's a Barcelona thing. Their strength is that anybody can score, so they'll rather move the ball around, sometimes purposelessly till they can score goals. They top 9s are somewhat there as a distraction.

Their strength is also their weakness cause I believe it will bite them when they meet a very good team, or when it matters most. It's the reason they lost to a very compact Bayern in the second leg. A careful look at thier goal stats for the season will show this. Barcelona has 13 more goals than the second placed team Levante, yet none of their players is currently in the top 10. Also, 4 of their top scorers have 5 goals, 3 are Wingers/Midfielders.

That's the perfect way to build a team, if you ask me. A team should shouldn't be built around one goal scorer for efficiency purpose. One injury to your top scorer, them the whole team goes bust and start struggling for goals. If you doubt me, ask PSG who lost Katoto. Even Lyon are not in their best in terms of scoring goals with Ada out injured as well as some of their goal scorers.

Barca on the other hand lost 3 players that could give them at least 50 goals a season among them even in their worst form (Putellas, Lieke Martens and Hermoso) last season, yet they haven't slowed down or gotten affected in terms of scoring goal. Infact with yesterday's results they set another UWCL goal record last night by scoring the highest goals in the group stage.

As good as other teams are, they can't loose those three calibre of players in their team and not get rattled. Putellas alone had over 35goals last season.

This Barca femeni team is like Pep's Man city, they will always score shit load of goals, with or without a top CF like Halaand or Aguero..The team is simply built to be self sustaining.

Concerning Asisat, she gets enough chances every game to at least be on 15 goals at this stage of the season. But she's been wastful. Last night alone, an Oshoala of last season would be on hat trick before 40 minutes with all the chances she got. She missed before she had her two goals, as well as after.

Some strikers in other teams don't have the benefits of having the type of support she has at Barca and they are outscoring her.

Probably psychological.

Hand has physically healed but the trauma of the injury is making her not to fully commit herself so that the injury won't reoccur. It's all in her head, and she needs some psychological help, or else it will take time for her to fully heal the mental aspect.

Same thing happened to Luke shaw after he broke his leg. Man was physically fine but he wasn't 100% mentally since then and usually play half heartedly. He even started gaining weight at some point.

The club not yet terminating his contract means that they(club hierarchy) are holding up for him and are working underground to help him out of the shit. Even if they don't want to sack him, the should have at least reassigned his squad number , but they didn't. Meaning that they are a little bit confident he's coming back.
