Good one MMA queen, but have you thought of taking it further by giving reasonable credit facilities to uber & taxify drivers, for car repairs, I think you should be able to work out something with uber/taxify. For instance your company could grant N100K credit line for each uber/taxify driver, which must be settled within 5 months. Uber/taxify would for interested partners/drivers reflect 20k negative balance every start of the month in the drivers app, and remit the money owed to your company over a period of 5 months or less. Everybody wins partners are sure that genuine parts are installed given the car better mileage on the road & thus avoiding downtime, uber/taxify are happy as more cars are on the road, riders are happy as the issue of cars breaking down on trips becomes a thing of the past; partners are happy as cost of maintenance is spread out and more manageable with the added bonus of top notch warranty, drivers on hire purchase can meet their targets, your company radautoworks/carquest would see reduced inventory holding cost, your staff's would have little idle time. In short everybody is a Winner!.

Drivers that find it difficult to maintain car properly.
Some will remove the genuine part, sell off and replace with inferior
Some will fix cars to top notch conditions and sell off immediately.
We have poor records and terrible people in this country.

I was in ibadan to fix a lot of vehicles in a single location yesterday. The owner is a die hard repair/rebuild Fan, he has 20year old cars running better than toks (all thanks to Gazzuzz) But it comes at a great cost. I will open a thread for one of his vehicles which I will be fixing in my workshop soon. It's a 2004 Hyundai sedan, present Value of vehicle is about 200-350k. fixing vehicle will cost about 400-600k full body interior, paintwork,engine repairs suspension, a/c work.

Owner presented with the possible realities, but insists on a repair since I'm the one doing it.

His Reason is simple. Same used car (toks), same mileage, would have unpredictable repair costs, he would rather bite the bullet than replace the car.

IT all depends on your perspective, your pockets and your priorities.

The fuel issue is nothing serious, just that smaller 1.6 and 1.8l engines consume lesser amount of fuel.

2005 Accord is a God car, about the same body size as camry of same year, the 4 cylinder engine is better, and ensure to change ball joints before they give way.
Overall, it's better than a Toyota Camry of the same year.

Most 4 cylinder cars are I4s and not V4s. The letter signifies the shape of the engine block.
Fuel consumption is dependent on a lot of things, starting from engine size

The engine in the camry is a 2.4l engine, which means higher fuel consumption than those I suggested.
Also, it's a big car, hope you know how to drive well already.

This is under probability as people like you end up buying cars on their last lap with faults well hidden under lots of cosmetics and accessories. Marketed by hawkers/dealers who have been in the sales of cars before you started making money/ saving up.

You fail to understand that there so many reasons why people buy a car, it's not always about how good economically or otherwise the car is.

The primary purpose of any car is to safely take people and goods from one point to the other. Comfort level is dependent on how much owner can afford at point of purchase and to keep it top notch.

Sincerely speaking there is no sense in actually fitting a car with a non stock stereo system if you have actually taking your time to go for a car with a good sound system.

You say this because you think you are more sensible than the manufacturers who create different trim levels and even leave option for buyers to select specific preferred accessories?
Vehicle tuning and upgrade is an industry, a booming one.

So please let's stick to the topic of giving advice on car brands with good sound systems based on experience, and not advice on the durability or quality of the car I should be the one to decide that. I just need the car to pass the sound test first

From examples of cars you've been in, You don't sound like one who can afford cars that come stock with the best sound systems you dream of.

You made alot of sense I have been in a lexus 330 it was not a base level I did not enjoy the jbl that much I have to say that it packs a lot of tweet and didn't have that sweet spot very discomforting to the ear when it was extremely loud. Because I am very sound sensitive as a music lover

I would keep that in mind. Let me see if I can get more votes for honda in other to decide. Eod is one vehicle I fancy too especially because it's cheaper than most other brands in its category. Now coupled with the fact you claim it has a good sound system it just might be a catch

By the way, it's easier to create the sound system that fits you in any car than to create the perfect performance car.

IMO the best stock sound system I experienced was in a GL450 I think.

My 2012 Honda accord overheats but only when it is raining. I had to change my radiator cos I thought it was leaking yet the problem persist. I can drive all day without issue but within 5mins of rain, the temp begins to rise.

Anyone experienced this? what can I do pls? The mech said I need to replace my fan but the same fan works when it is not raining.

i've always done the following, not sure if it's 100% correct but it seems to work:
-disconnect both battery terminals
-connect the leads together for 5 minutes or so
-reattach to battery
-turn key to on position, but don't start it. leave for 5 minutes or so.
-then start the car, but DO NOT touch the gas. let it idle for 10 minutes.
-then drive.
