I think having one head is not smart, because when he takes that head for routine maintenance he doesn't have access to the head that moment thereby making him senseless. Proper scheduling of maintenance to when it's least needed will help. How much is minimum wage?!
harryobi: Dear forumites, I seek your help to identify and solve a problem that has caused me so much heartache and loss of money. I have a Nissan Murano 2005 . Last month, the car started a strange behaviour. Mind you I have maintaned the car as appropriate. While driving it just showed break on the dashboard and stopped.
I did all to start it but no way. After it cooled down it started though with another batter (mine has died). Since after that day, no matter the amount fuel in it, the car will always off on the road one (the ignition will still be on) . Once you off and on the car, it will not start again till i get to my destination but it will surely off again on coming back.
I have spent so much trying to solve this problem.
Help me please!
Thank you.
Providing a list of job done/ parts changed will help. State your location, someone that can help scan and diagnose might be close to your location or do a Google search for mechanics in your state. Run a scan, read up on the codes, possible causes and known solutions. Gather the 3 fuel pumps you have at the moment for whoever has capability to scan your vehicle do a pressure test on each so as to install the best when vehicle problem is solved. Please stop guessing and throwing parts at the car. Good luck.
I doubt the shared platform with Nissan statement. I hustle read that it will have the ladder-type frame, which is the same kind of frame Nissan Navara has. But I don't know if it's design patented by Nissan...
hodusglobal: They have the right to do what they did to you. Because there are too much crimes everywhere in the country. But only the error which they did is for not saying "Sorry for taking your time" after they have finished with you.
No they don't. SARS means Special Anti Robbery Squad. Did they present a search warrant before jumping in? No.
Were they working on the case of a stolen vehicle that looked exactly like his? May be not.
bee4un: I've never set my eyes on the fuel filter and so, I don't know what it looks like. I actually got to know about it (fuel filter) when I asked them to list the items that made up my bills during the last service.
Ask him for the exact location and that he should bring out all the ones he has removed before.
honmusa: Nothing is beyond repair but make sure you know what u are fixing and the cost implication so that u use that to get a good bargain with the seller. You need to be guided by a professional diagnostician to help you scan the vehicle as a whole and advice you accordingly. If you are in Lagos and u need a professional diagnostician ,call autologic @ 08061166316
pato405: Bro, an electrical technician and I have opened it and inspected what could be the cause. A bulging capacitor was clearly visible and we changed it and also one of the resistors. After the changes made, the charger still REFUSED to work. Up till now that I type these texts, the guy is still battling with it even though I have given up. He said he wasn't giving up because he enjoys challenges of such and although I have given up on it, he pleaded that I allow him take a more in-depth look into all components - something tells me he'll never be able to resolve the problem as these chargers are mostly China products designed not to last beyond a year! You need to see the grammatical blunders on the manual, guy, you'll gasp for breath and pass-out. Our posts on this forum is sufficient evidence that they are all shambolic contraptions from mediocre technologies not built with rigor or ruggedness. More than 60% of first generation participants of this thread who successfully built the local inverter set-up (including me) all have the same experience with these chargers.
I'm interested in your suggestion, that we could, on this thread, also focus on exploring alternatives e.g just as we adapted the common office UPS for inverters, we could also start brainstorming on what components of the UPS could be changed to enable it charge higher capacity batteries (as opposed to the 7.5H inbuilt) i.e enabling it through local modifications to charge 100AH and more.
Communicating in English is not a measure of intelligence sir. Our power supply suffers alot of fluctuations which subjects how fragile the Chinese mass produced items to highest abuse.
mrruns: Hi all. Pls I hv a few questions; 1. With solar charge controller already inbuilt, can hybrid inverter supply AC (Alternative Current) power directly to feed appliances WITHOUT battery bank?
In other words, if battery bank supplies DC power to d inverter, now converted to AC feeding appliances, can solar panel (DC) power also feed directly to hybrid inverter, after having converted to AC to power appliances WITHOUT needing battery bank?
2. Apart frm d label or sticker pasted on d body: A) are there other indications to differentiate between mono and poly solar panels? Since label can be deceptive.
B) are there also ready ways to know d true Watt, label or no label?
3. Does solar panels also have 12v and 24v? Or d traditional connection of 2pcs 12v in series is d way of achieving its own 24v too?
4. While already mounted and used for a while, but due to one reason or d other, if solar panel is left unused for a period of time, does dat damage it, or affect it in any way? If any, what is d considerable period like? Ref. to leaving battery unused for a while
5. Is there any rule guiding d distance to maintain between solar panel and d roof while mounting? Or can it just be placed right on roof and screw down?
Thanks for sincere and mature response.
Stiill waiting pls
1. I don't think so, because absence of battery means circuit is incomplete, and normal charge controller set up won't supply DC to inverter if Inverter only is connected to the charge controller without battery.
2a. The crystal shape of cells vary. 2b. Measure output current and voltage under direct sunlight with a multimeter then multiply.
3. Yes, each cell produce s 2v and they have various combinations to provided needed output. By the way output voltage varies with level of exposure to sunlight.
4. No. Expected lifetime is 25 years.
5. Yes. The greater the distance the greater the diameter of cable recommended.
All your questions have been answered before in the thread.
naijacutee: I don't understand why people are being bitter on this thread instead of playing the game. When Uber has a surge, you turn the app on. If Taxify is offering higher rates, you drive Taxify. If you get a good job on Ogataxi, you drive Ogataxi. What's the problem? These conpanies only care about their pockets and you should too.
That's the beauty of a capitalist society - put your effort where the money is, not in hurling insults that don't bring money.
Ask if the battery has ever been changed. What's the total distance travelled in the vehicle lifetime?
But I realized that the condenser is in front of the radiator.. And the 2 fans are just behind. Would the be any provision where any of the fan would blow the condenser in front... I realized my in-law put a little fan in front of his condenser.. Although he uses and xterra and it has just one big fan for radiator.
Besides I don't use the AC when I realised it was overheating
Some cars are designed to have both fans side by side (between radiator and engine) while some have one on each side (in front of and behind condenser and radiator).
Nissan Micra 1997-2001 Nissan Almeria 2000-2001 Toyota Starlet 1997-2000 Toyota Corolla 1999-2002 Mitsubishi Colt- 1997... Just look out for hatchbacks, minis and portable saloon cars between 1997 and 2001/2002
I use a Mazda MPV 05 model. On a given start you could hear the fan rotation loudly when the car is idle. (Two fans in normal positioning behind the main radiator) But if I put on my AC... The temp will step up say after 30 mins and when I turn off ac/ no matter how high, the temperature will come down Questions: do I need to have a additional fan for the condenser alone? 2: could my gasket be burnt and need change. ( I have had overheating issueing a couple of times due to wrong wiring of fan.
1. No, one fan is for radiator and the other one is for condenser. They have been connected to run directly at start up if the AC is not left on and car starts while its still on. 2. The usual indicators of burnt gasket doesn't include the above operation conditions.
Make it 3,000km for engine oil and filter change if running on mineral oil. You can make it 5,000km on synthetic oil. Transmission oil (if automatic) change in 50,000km intervals.
legendsilver: OK, my mechanic just confirmed to me that one of the six plugs died which then resulted to the increased fuel swallowing but he has got it fixed. He also said the output pipe has no leakage, so lemi sojourn to another journey and see how far it drinks fuel. .thanks for your support
Please record total distance covered during the round trip, top speed, acceleration and braking patterns to be sure it's not just you expecting too much economy from that car. I won't be surprised if your car is just fine. Congrats on the new ride.
