My birth story

My edd was June 19, but on June 12 I woke up with lower abdominal pain which was bearable, on the previous night my mother in law had told me that she will like to teach me how to make liquid soap, so we went to the market in the morning to get all the ingredients and we start the preparation immediately when we got home, it was there I was feeling uncomfortable again but I don't informed her about how I was feeling and this was around 12 pm.
When we finished the soap, I went to sleep and around 4pm my sister called me that she is coming to greet me at inlaws place, I woke up to meet her and we entertained her, we were gisting about everything but I was in pain and was adjusting myself every time but no one knows how I was feeling.. She left around 6pm, when she left the pain become unbearable again and i now told MIL how I was feeling, this time I could not stand, sit or sleep again, so we called the doctor on phone but he didn't picked up so we decided to go to the hospital so that he can give me pain reliever.
When we got there, the doctor was not around and the nurses called him.. They checked my file and saw that I was close to the edd, they checked my BP, baby's heartbeat and everything check able, then one of the nurses asked if my bag has been packed I was like yes that why do you ask, she said because I was in labour, I said en en in my mind I was like so this is how labour used to be then it's so bearable... They told mother in law to go and bring my hospital bag, I was so happy that finally I was going to have my baby today, so by this time the pain was now intense then here come the doctor, when he saw me he just said they should give him glove to check me and after checking he was like whao, she's 8cm already...
I was happy on hearing this and he said they should give me drip so as to hasten the contraction, it was then I now realize what the true labour meant, I squeezed the hell out of Doctor cloth anytime he came around, the burglary, the drip stand and anything I could lay my hands on..so they ruptured my membrane and everything was as if I was going to die, they now prepared me to delivery room, hmm doctor said anytime you feel like pooing just push with all your strength, the push part was another work for me, not just getting it at all and I was so exhausted and doctor said he don't want to give me tears ooo but with the look of the things now he don't have any option so that the baby won't be stressed up, so when I felt the contraction again then with all my strength and the little tears, my cute prince screamed his lung out around 8 pm and I felt so relieved...
So I was dressed up to ward and to my surprise I meet my aunty that have left since and I asked her how she got to know she said it was MIL that called her back and she was so surprised cos I didn't show any sign that I was in labour when we were gisting..

PS : i'm sorry it took me so long to submit my bs... Na the vigilante stress cause it an, please over look any gbagaun in this write up, I'm not good at typing.

MY BIRTH STORY.

So iknew it will be cs bcus of d previous surgeries.
I was sheduled for June 12(37weeks).
Got to the hospital in the morning around 9am with my hubby and mother but i wasnt prepared for the theater until about 11am. When i got to the theater,the surgeon said its d spinal one that will be given to me so that i can be awake through out the process but i refused oh and insisted that i wanted the full anasthesia so that i will just wake us and see my baby but he said thats an old process and besides,it weakens the baby as it immediately takes effect! I still insisted until the matron came to beg me that dont i want to see my baby first(na so my head reset o). So i agreed for the spinal one which wen i was given i dint feel it immediately until about a minute later.

They proceeded around 12:20am and gbam,from my ribs to my toes were numbed that i could not even move my toes(oyinbo sha). By 12:38pm,i felt the pop out of my uterus with my Ds screaming his lungs. Matron cleaned him,brought him to me,i saw the most cutest baby,kissed his head and said to him "welcome,God bless you". He was taken to my people at the ward and iheard them all shoiting and praising God! I couldnt be more happier...!

By 12:50pm,i was wheeled out,saw my hubby(meanwhile,he ran away from the hospital when the nurse came to prep me and only came back when he was called that ive been wheeled to the theater. Gosh,dat man can fear for africa wen it has to do with hospital). He laid his hand on me and prayed for me.

Na so my eyes they shine shine o,wey i no fit sleep again cause 2hours later the spinal effect began to wear of,that was when i began to feel THE REAL PAIN! God,women are Blessed o!!!

We are still in the Hospital sha. Hopefuly we'll be discharged on Thurs bcus me,im tired of this place already o jare. Though,its private hosp and their services are good.

There goes my BS,hope i tried bcause im not good at written narative. Lol...

My prince charming made his grand entrance on the 6th of June. This pregnancy has been smooth so far. But due to the previous pregnancy with DD via C-section,I started experiencing pain at the incision site as the pregnancy progressed. When the pain became unbearable I complained to my doc.He told us to watch if the pain persisted and becomes unbearable then he will need to give steroids to aid baby lungs.Steroids was administered at 32 weeks when the pain persisted. He then scheduled me for the procedure by 35 weeks. But I was believing God to get to 37 weeks cos I couldn't imagine giving birth to a preterm baby couple with the fact that I was running my Msc project. Fast forward to June 1,i went to the clinic and met with the doc he then gave the 6th of June for the procedure to be carried out in order for us to be on a safe side. As God will have it I was admitted on the 5th of June and on the 6th the procedure was successfully carried out and my DS was brought out weighing 2.9kg.Wishing all the remaining June mama's and all pregnant mama's safe delivery.

Tnx Able cappo. I will bear it till tomorrow morning and will go straight to the hospital. Though the contraction is like 30 to 20minute apart. But it's bearable.

My pregnancy was the roughest to say the least....after a 12 year break....with an EDD of July 26, I was just counting down and could not wait for all the preggie symptoms to disappear!! My hubby and two daughters aged 14 and 12 were my strongest support ever.

I moved to a new country just last week, resumed June 1 and luckily hubby came along to settle.me down. Only for the second jigijigi to occur throughout this pregnancy to take place two nights ago and low and behold, my waters broke and I poured all night.....I was crying all through and hubby blamed himself all night for initiating

Fast forward to yesterday morning, reported to the hospital that had been recommended to me in my new city of abode, and for the scan to reveal that there was little or no amniotic fluid left o....inmediate management was to bring my baby out ASAP...at 33 weeks plus 2 days o.....via CS as they didn't even want to risk a vaginal delivery to avoid trauma or infection to baby. Despite my being a medical doctor, I cried myself silly and have been worried all night about possible complications of delivery at this stage including the possibility of a NICU stay for baby and my fear of CS as my first two were vaginal at 37+ May I advise at this point not to let too much Google mess up our heads.....I read up the good, bad and ugly and was scared silly . I was given steroid shots to aid baby's lungs and also commenced on prophylactic antibiotics and CS scheduled for 1300 hours today. To God be all the glory my people, following start of surgery, baby was our in roughly 3 minutes and yelled his lungs out. On examination by the receiving paediatrician, we were informed he had a fantastic Apgar score of 9, all was good and there was not the slightest indication for NICU stay for even a second....my people.....I was shedding tears on the surgery table of gratitude to God for His mercies indeed last forever

Baby is sleeping peacefully right now, I am still on an adrenaline high and wide awake....what more can I ask for an early 40th birthday present?

yes oo, i read it online is possible especially when your edd is close. please teamie go to the hospital straight away. you are the only that knows how you are feeling. supernatural delivery is your portion. another June mama heading to favour room.

On Tuesday the 6th, I was in bed, and then all of a sudden I felt wet, so I quickly rushed to the bathroom, and then I realized my water had broken and it wouldn't stop trickling down, but no contractions. Hubby was out of state, so in order not to get stuck in the house, I quickly wore a sanitary towel, took my bags and drove down to the hospital, which is about 5mins drive from my place. I checked in at about 7:30 pm and started feeling mild contractions afterwards, the doctor did a VE, said I was 4cm, and asked me to go to my room and to call him if I needed him. Shortly after laying on my bed, I started feeling the real bad boys every10mins, and then 5mins, and then came the urge to poop, so I called the nurses who led me to the delivery room, and after 5 pushes I became tired, the doctor said I had to push hard one more time, because he didn't want the baby to be where he was at that moment, as it was a dangerous place for him to stay, I don't know where the strength came from when I heard that, but i gave a crazy, bad ass push and  at 9:22pm I had my juicy 4.4kg baby boy with his cord wrapped 3 times around his neck, the doctor removed it and then he began to yell his lungs out , I couldn't stop smiling. In all, 
I thank God for a smooth pregnancy and a pretty neat delivery, and also thank you mommas here for knowledge shared, love you all.

Hmmm, the only mama that joined us in June.

i saw mucus plug with blood on d 4th of june around 5am. weneva I urinate I continue seeing blood but my DH said since I'm not having contractions we should chill at home and watch it. later I started having contractions but not strong, I called a nurse she said it is better I go to hospital for proper monitoring since I'm bleeding. I got to d hospital past 10pm, the doctor checked me and he said my cervix is closed but he won't allow me to go home since I've seen show. he checked me around 5am and I was 4cm dilated, I was checked again by another female doctor around 12 pm she said I'm 5cm, that was when serious prayer started o, I was commanding my service to dilate fast. when d doctor on night duty came, she came and checked me around 5pm and I was 8cm dilated, she said I must give birth in the next two hours and her wish was stamped by God. I entered delivery room at 5pm and she passed d drip and gave me injections which oxytocin was among, i don't know d name of d rest, that was when I started shouting 'I want to poo' she came to check me again I was still at 8cm. she called DH to go and get one injection, she injected me on my laps that was when d urge to poo didn't stop at all. it was terrible. I pushed 3 times and d baby's head came out a bit, she was having cord around her neck , d doc cut d cord and asked me to push again and d baby came out exactly 7pm, she didn't cry at fast d doc had to beat her and she cried. I was just shouting 'thank you Jesus'. This is d experience of a first time mum. I give glory to God.

my dear, so i heard too that pineapple causes contraction which is why it is avoided during early pregnancy, walking they said helps the cervix to open fast. a friend of mine trekked a long distance at 38 weeks and she gave birth the following day. just my point of view sha

My dear, am not even feeling anything again, praying for labour to start next week Saturday. Have not started taking anything because DH is not around only thing I do is normal walk every night.God help us.

I won't forgive the PHCN pple,after preparing mouth watering zobo,they decided not to give us light,everything just spoil like dat,dat was 2weeks ago when I was 38weeks,am 40weeks now,no sign than tightening of my stomach which am not sure if it is braxton hicks or contraction(second time mama o),I have appointment with my doctor tomorrow morning,all I know is that it will end in praise.

i just lost my mucus plug this evening and av bin aving contractions 15-20 minutes apart.tomoro is my ANT appointment and i relly wish to catwalk into the favor room with swagg and not waste much time at all.

mama nneejima, thank GOd nothing happened, God gave u this baby nothing will happen to him or her, but mamas, abeg lets stop that was how this person lost her baby, that one lost her baby, dnt let us create fear in her mind, is only God that protect u can register in the best hospital with t he best consultant and they will make mistake, but when is in God's hand u are secured. But here is for pregnant women dnt let us create unnecessary fear in our minds, none of us will loss her baby or babies, babies alive, mother alive plenty money. God bless us.

let them monitor you closly but if your Lo is more than 2.3kg you are good to go. God is with you. dnt be scared .
