The Abia state commissioner of information said that T.A. Orji is to Abia state what Nelson Mandela is to South Africa.
He said this on radio describing T.A.Orji as a liberator of the people of Abia state. He blamed the current condition of the state on the former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu and his mother who held the state under spell.
The commissioner said what T.A.Orji is doing now is laying a good foundation for future governors of the state.


Listening to this commissioner comparing T.A.Orji to Mandela was like a big insult to the people of South Africa and those who know the life of Nelson Mandela.

The problem however is that some women dont want to start off with reasonable beginnings but they want to start right at the top of the scale, closing their eyes to all other vices that the man may have. They also forget that as you want him, so will a thousand other women want him too and so you are fighting infidelity battles amongst other things even before the ring goes on

Why not pick a hardworking man of integrity who has good prospects and build your way up the ladder together. He will even respect you more for that.

He told his members that tattooing their body or even undergoing plastic surgery is not a sin before God. He said a lot of people misinterpret a scripture in the bible which is supposedly against body art and enhancement. He said getting tattoos and plastic surgery is an individual decision and has nothing to do with God.

What are your thoughts on this?

Few days after she was released from kidnappers den, Nollywood actress and Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Nkiru Sylvanus got married to her long time heartthrob secretly, yemoja can exclusively revealed.

The man who swept the actress feet is the media spokesman of Vice President Namadi Sambo, Mallam Umar Sani. Our sources revealed that the wedding which held two weeks ago was given a media blackout and attended by handful of family members.

Yemoja gathered that the wedding was made hush-hush because of the media attention that greeted the kidnapping of the actress and because the VP’s media man has a wife already which will make Nkiru his second wife.

Nkiru Sylvanus was kidnapped by some gunmen in Owerri on Saturday, December 15, 2012 and demanded a ransom of 100 million naira for her release.

The actress was released about a week after, though there were unconfirmed reports that a ransom was paid.

One of the Vice President’s Spokesman’s friends confirmed the marriage and told yemojanews that, “it is not for public knowledge”.

We learnt Nkiru and Umar Sani had been dating for a while and it was Sani, who got the political appointment for the actress in Imo State.

“Umar Sani and Rochas Okorocha are close friends. Umar facilitated Nkiru’s appointment in Imo State. You know Nkiru is from Abia State and not Imo”, our source declared.

lekanolas: Following the shortage of office accommodation at its secretariat, the Akko Local Government Council in Gombe State has converted some of its conveniences to offices for staff.

Chairman of the council, Alhaji Adamu Jani Bello, revealed this during a the visit of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s to Akko Central State Constituency.

He said the council is submitting a proposal for the construction of a wing of the local government secretariat in order to address the current shortage of office accommodation, which necessitated the conversion of some toilets to offices.

The Chairman appealed to the governor to provide the council with adequate office furniture and equipment to create a more conducive working environment for optimal performance of staff.

At Akko West State Constituency, the people reminded the governor of the persisting lack of potable water in the area, as they currently get their drinking water from ponds.

According to the member representing the constituency, Hon. Danazumi Adamu, the governor should urgently consider the extension of the greater Gombe South multibillion naira water project to the area to save the people from rampant diseases associated with poor and unhygienic water.

Other requests included the construction of roads to transport agricultural produce, electricity, health facilities, primary and secondary schools and the upgrading of others and creation of employment opportunities for the youths.

Responding, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, promised to work with chairman of the council, SUBEB, MDG’s and other stakeholders to tackle the problems.
