with one of them

1) One man who struggles with low self esteem recalls that his father paid very little attention to him, and that the attention he got was often hurtful. He sill struggles with feelings of failure and the thought that no matter how hard he tries it just isn’t good enough.
His father on the other hand felt that he was motivating his son with positive criticism “for his own good”, and that his lack of affirmation was to keep his son from becoming proud and arrogant. “All I wanted was to help him be the best that he could be. I know my standards were high, but the world is a tough place and I just wanted him to be prepared”. Although his intentions may have been good, the damage he caused would take years to overcome
Education › 3 Times 1+1 Is Not Equal Ti 2 by tobechi20(op): 11:46pm On Jun 13, 2017
As is commonly known, viewing the same thing from different perspectives often alters that thing. One time, someone cited 1+1=2 as a “fact” that remained unchanged regardless of perspective. However, it really demonstrates the malleability of facts.
For instance, consider these four true expressions of 1+1:
1. 1+1=2
2. 1+1=10
3. 1+1=11
4. 1+1=1

The first is the normal arithmetic expression we learned in school; however, what we often overlook is that it uses just one type of numeric language called Base 10. Thr

second example expresses the same thing but uses a numeric language called Binary. It’s even more widely used than our recognizable form because it’s the language of computer

The third expression assumes that “1” is a shape. Imagine adding one spade to another to get two of them. We can express it symbolically as ♣ + ♣ = ♣♣. This is frequently the first “language” used to teach children arithmetic.

The fourth expression is a bit more difficult to see but is frequently used too. Consider the statement that one man plus one woman equals one couple. Another example would be a
single drink which we make by adding
one part A to one part B. Consider as well that one period of sunlight and
one period of darkness equals one day. In these examples each “1” in the equation represents a unique item. In other words, they each represent one of something different rather one of the same thing as in the other three perspective

Thus, this exercise helps to train our minds to search for different perspectives and to demonstrate the importance of not just looking at the facts . . . but how they are i

fact, it is now an abnormality to not have had sex. People are frowned as ‘ sad’
and ‘ unfortunate’ even in adolescent age if they have not had a sexual encounter. ‘When and what was your first sexual experience’ is a question the celebrant is asked on his ‘ birthday’. It is so bad that even in some ‘ Christian’ circles, it is deemed impossible for a man to live his life without having sex. To an extent, why shouldn’t this be believed when the sexual perversion is so rampant that it has permeated every single institution? But it really gets worse and is something to be pondered upon when the institution that is meant to give a ‘ Divine’ answer to the true meaning and purpose of life itself and offer ‘ salvation ’ to citizens of the world who have lost their way are now viewing the world through ‘ carnal human’
lenses. As a Catholic I have heard my fellow Christians who are non-catholics look at the vow of celibacy with suspicion at the very least and most times outright attack, not ‘believing’ that this is possible even with Grace.

Why then do we get surprised when we start hearing about sex between men or between women when sex between a man and a woman has become so old-fashioned because it has been used up and all its peculiarities have been explored to the ‘fullest’? Why do we get agitated when some of us decide to choose who to enjoy the experience with? Why do we seem disgusted when we hear that a man or a woman does not prefer a sexual experience with the opposite sex, is not interested in being involved with the same sex either, but is more interested in lower animals, I mean, that has not been largely tried. Or should you think it out of trend that others having run out of trying the above options from a one-sided perspective are jumping at the idea and embracing the opportunity to try it from another? Even as we speak, I am sure many frustrated citizens of our world have put on their thinking caps for newer sexual experiences.

Could it be God....huh
I was inside Keke today when a woman was sharing the testimony of a boy in port Harcourt who stole the mothers two hundred naira to play Naijabelt yesterday and won twenty four million according to the woman.
According to the woman, the mother of the said boy sells AKARA and she was saying that this is how God gave this boy favour in other to take the family out of poverty. She said that God is a divine planner. He planned and arranged it that this boy will through Naijabelt win the ransom that will take the family out from poverty forever.
My question.... Can God involve in a miracle per say that involves sin because the money the boy used to play the game was stolen.
Will God involve in Naira belt Even though he works in a mysterious way?
Could it be God??

But @op, what if I tell you that you're so wrong, will you agree?

Aren't men supported when they cheat on their women, with excuses that men are polygamous in nature? But when a woman is found cheating on her man, won't the heavens come down on her?

Aren't men supported when they beat up their women with the excuses that women possess acidic mouths and thus should be dealt with by her husband? But when women decides to defend themselves against physical abuse, what do you men say............lots of BS of course!

See, the truth is, the society favours men more than women, therefore, a woman need to be strong in every ramification to be able to fight against whatever that do not go well with her, that is why it's advisable for women to...........
~have the minds of their own!
~be financially independent!
~be emotionally stable!
~be knowledgeable and wise!
~be exposed positively!
~be fearless!
~be heard!
~and then, know their limits!

Once a woman attains all these, it would be difficult for such a woman to be oppressed, which you men conclude as arrogance, whereas it is not!

However, if you still feel that the society favours women more than men, thank God for science, it is now possible, you can change your gender!

The power of women feminist obrtlook
I was listening to a radio programme the other day about a man whose girlfriend rejected his wedding proposal after dating for four years. She refused to give a tangible reason for refusal prefering the duo to continue dating.
I was shocked when phone calls came in trying to defend the woman choice.
“It is her choice to make her life as happy as she can” said a female caller.
“May be she has been through assault in and doesn’t want to continue.” Said a male caller.
The Society has a way of excusing ladies for their action
I asked my colleagues if it were a man who dated a girl for four years and quit for no tangible reason.
” he must be irresponsible or scared of commitment “said one.
“He must be a womaniser.AFter giving her false hope for four years? That is inhumane.”.another echoed.
Isn’t it possible th
at he backed off due to oppression
and unhappiness too?
Ladies get away with more bad behaviour than guys.they aremore powerful than guys.
The human race is like a computer system with ladies as software. The hardware Is visible but software is more powerful.
The men can keep fooling himself of his strength while women keep pretending to be weak
By pretending ,they make men to automatically, unthinkably and foolishly rush to their rescue.
Men are quick to give a female a lift but reluctant to assist their fellow guys.

i can find many faults in religion but yet to find one about God.
when religious leaders commit atrocities,we should hold them responsible and not God

i have seen lots of debate trying to discredit and disproof God. All arise due to our limited knowledge of him. No religion truely and totally knows all about god.

God doesnt want to be totally known. He doesnt reveal all of himself. The more a servant knows much about the master, the tendency to loose his respect for the master.

let me start by telling everyone that i am a christian. Reading the bible has been part of me since i was able to read and write.
I love to reason and ask question
while reading the bible, there are many parts that makes me want to question if the events actually took place .

The story of job stands out top. It seems odd to belive that after casting satan out , God stil organise a meeting where satan attends.and even grant the evil one a request.

The creation story also strikes my mind. Who accepts a story without a withness.

Adam and sin apple story is another one that makes me wonder if the story was just a parable.
