Omedic: For online degrees, stay away from US or Canadian schools. I'm not sure but there is a caveat on this on the CIC website.
For Canada: •you must have studied at a school within Canada (foreign campuses don’t count) •you had to be enrolled full time for at least eight months, and have been physically present in Canada for at least eight months. A Canadian degree, diploma or certificate must either have been earned at an accredited Canadian university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute in Canada. Distance learning counts, but only if it made up less than half your study. This is not a caveat on online study. It is a caveat for claiming points for study in Canada. You can do online course with a school in Canada but you can't claim points for studying in Canada unless... |

IFEAGO: Good day guys, well done to you all on the valuable information shared here. Please I have a challenge, got this mail earlier today;
My passport had 9 months validity as at the time I submit my application (AOR: April 4), I also attached and submitted my wife's current and old (due to the stamps) passports. I'm asking because passports with less than 6 months validity are not being issued in state commands of Nigerian Immigration Service, what do you guys suggest I do please? Thanks in anticipation of your response. 'If you have not already received a new passport, please provide us with a scanned copy when it becomes available.' |

TTS123: Good day house. I got a PUM from Accra Visa Office yesterday afternoon, and two minutes after I got a recall mail for the PUM. Has anyone experienced this before? And if yes, what happened thereafter?
NB: Decision in my profile is still 'Approved'. IF I were you I'd contact Accra. What if the recall was done in error or the person recalled and forgot to send the replacement mail? |

Is it ok if I apply as married before ITA, then proceed to get married when ITA comes around so as to provide the marriage certificate? At the time you're applying as married before ITA, will you be married? Your answer to my question is the answer to your question. |

mumzt: Good afternoon everyone. Have you visited page zero of this thread and followed all the links? Improve your ielts to band 9 or 8.5. Did you do any diploma those days of JAMB frustration? If yes, evaluate it. If no, get a second certificate such as NOUN PGD or ACCA foundation certificate (don't know much but it has been exhaustively discussed on this thread). With band 9 and two or more certs you'll be around crs 430. This score will possibly drop by five points on your next birthday. Now let's think outside the box. Do you or your husband have any sibling who has head and is younger than 30 years? Sell this canada idea to them and assist their migration as much as you can (both financially and morally). When they get their PR status, then you get extra 15 points and enter the 440s where ITA is more certain. It's a long term plan but if you can immediately and simultaneously kick-start a sibling's journey alongside your second certificate quest, by this time next year you should have your ITA in hand and your COPR latest December 2019. This is in my opinion your cheapest bet, and most beneficial in the long run. Another option is PNP which can give you 600 points. You can visit the nairaland PNP thread. Then again, Australia's migration process is less age discriminatory than canada's so visit the Australia skilled worker thread to reconsider that option. |

jamela: Hi vcole, I saw your reply to someone about using NYSC for work experience. I have contacted my ppa for the letter and they asked me to send the details for it. Now I understand from your reply to that post that it's best to use the NYSC official dates i.e camp date to date of ppa on the cert to get 1 year. Did you have to include your nysc cert as supporting document to this effect?
What did you do about the salary part? My ppa only paid N5000 a month as it was in government. Do you think this would affect my application as regards the normal expectations for NOC? Read up page zero of this thread and follow up all the links on that page. |

Jadel03: Foreign transcript: #50,000
Local transcript: #9,000
Admin charges: #1,000.
Please note that if you did Diploma or DFP, you will pay extra #50,000 (foreign) ,#9,000 (local) for them to process that as well. This is official extortion sha. 100k just to get records of studies you PAID for. It's a service that should be free, or at most available for a token. I find it very unfair that it has been converted into a source of revenue. Later the VC of that school will say Buhari is bad. But I divert. |

LausDeo: Hello everyone. I always learn new things each time I read this thread. Thanks for all the information. Please does anyone have an idea the exchange rate the Canadian embassy uses to calculate proof of funds. I was planning on going with my wife but now she is pregnant. That means I have to cough up additional 4000CAD according to CIC requirement. I want to know so I can decide whether to change her to non-accompanying. Lol POF will be required for both accompanying and non accompanying family members. Congrats on the upcoming addition. It's good news don't worry money will come. |
