flosk: Hi people,
1Please is there any one who did nysc with gtbank that has been able to get a reference letter from them
Please it is urgent?
@Newmum0615
2.I also did a graduate trainee programme with a multinational but when i got the reference letter it was not useful see below.
3.My husband's eca with the redeemed bible institute didnt get a positive evaluation because wes claimed that the college is unrecognised so he is back to only bsc and he wants to apply for eor with BC.
4. I have 2 or more degrees with a good ielts score but work experience is my issue.
a. I served with gtbank during nysc( but the hr guys are proofing difficult)
b. The multinational i worked with as a graduate trainee gave me a work reference which i already posted.
c. Other places where i had worked were for 3 months, 4months.
d. My birthday is 22nd june. e. If i have just 1year experience, my crs will be 442
Please any help or suggestions are welcome
Thanks The letter looks good to me. It contains all the required information, non? Maybe I'm missing something? 442 as CRS score also looks good to me at least till September when scores will start their end of year ascent. Get in the pool ASAP because of tie breaker and your birthday. Or is there also some reason I'm missing why you haven't already entered the pool? Since 442 would have long gotten you an ITA. |

Joyce2020: Good evening everyone. I am studying for the ielts writing test on Saturday using jay and ielts Liz . Now jay says to put in the introduction a statement like '' This essay shall discuss.....' And Liz says not to do that as it is overused. Pls those who have aced ielts did you do anything like that? When Jay wrote ielts he scored 6.5. I think based on this fact you should go with Liz for essay writing (I love Jays letter writing template). |

Anthonyo15: TMA LATEST DEVELOPMENT
TMA 1 Opening date: 5th June, 2018 Closing date: 26th June, 2018 12 midnight
TMA 2 Opening date: 27th June, 2018 Closing date: 18th July, 2018 12 midnight
TMA 3 Opening date: 19th July, 2018 Closing date: 14th August, 2018 12 midnight
BOTTOMLINE:
1) Students can now only read and do their tmas, no printouts
2) Only a TMA will be available for a student at a time, following the timelines provided. This means that no TMA is open-ended.
*You must do your TMA within that period or risk a zero mark for that TMA*
3) You must attempt TMA and exams to receive an end of semester grade for every course registered. This is a standard rule for university.
4) Ideally, a student should pass both TMA and exams to receive a pass mark for the course. Therefore, students shoukd endeavour to do their TMA themselves as TMAs prepare students for their final examinations.
5) A student is expected to study the course materials, do TMAs and assignments in the course materials before attempting the online TMAs. Therefore, one (1) question will pop up at a time for student to attempt before the next question will pop-up. Where the student is not able to attempt for example, question 1, he/she could click *NEXT* to move to question 2 and so on.
6) There are three TMAs per each course registered by a student, a student is expected to attempt all. Each TMA has 10 test items(1-10)

Kolabyk: Good day all,
I have a big challenge regarding RSA letter of reference. I made a request for a letter stating the usual information as required for POF but my pension manager replied with the attached.
...so i was wondering if this letter is fit for purpose.
Have you considered asking them to address a letter to you containing the required information? If you're the addressee then it's not third party disclosure anymore. |

Favoured2505: I don't even understand being a good writer. I have always been a good writer. I know because my essays were always read in class and in the Uni too because I always got good grades for my reviews. I wrote IELTS way back in 2012 for something I was pursing. My writing score was 8.5. Today I got my IELTS result from BC and my writing score is 6.5. I am very sad and because I am sure , I am going to ask for an EOR. My result from IELTS today has discouraged me from the trust I had in this process . Ouch. Sorry about your 6.5. Like they say, ielts likes humbling us. It's because I've jumped and passed that I'm here blowing grammar about good writer or not. I am a big fan of remarking, Afterall ielts jay scored 6.5 when he wrote. Twas upgraded to 7.5 following remark. shae we've even seen someone get upgraded listening here? but BC remark with their 12 weeks is something else so Don't take the decision lightly. |

iPopAlomo: I don't entirely agree... My 1st and only IELTS... I answered both writing question on a single sheet... yeah... I saw people demanding for extra sheet and my liver cut... because I didn't finish the second question per se... halfway through I realised I was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy off point... I erased everything and started again... couldn't go through as the next thing I heard was pens up... Alas! My writing turns out a 7... and it was rough... everytime I thought about it... I'll tell myself... The 1st essay was perfect nah the second one get comma... realistically... was expecting 6.5...
p.s:
Most times... extra sheets gets lost in transit... In other words you're agreeing that one has to be terrible to score a 6.5, considering you still got a 7 with an incomplete essay... Was it essay or letter you did not complete? You know they're not mates in scoring. I don't know about the Indians, but we're having a serious grammar challenge in Nigeria. It's now proving difficult to find articulate newspaper articles. Everybody now knows how to phoonè but basic rules of grammar have been lost. We're not yet talking of autocorrect and spellcheck o... |

Claire40: Your 1st essay saved the day. Since it was perfect, you probably got either 8.5 or 8 as your score in the first essay, all you then needed was 6.0 or 6.5 in the 2nd essay, for example(6.0+ 6.0+ 8.5)/3 = 6.8 which becomes a 7 after rounding off.
Writing more gives the marker avenues to award more marks to you because you will use a wider range of grammar and words. It is only counterproductive if you cannot write error free because you will simply be giving the marker reasons to deduct your marks. I'm sure I wrote more than 500 words sha. I stopped counting when I got to 250. Cos during practice could write 250 on one sheet, but in exam day also filled front and back of extra sheet (Covers face shyly) not recommended to write long and boring or long with errors. No need to make examiner angry lol. But if you're a good writer, I'd say go for it. |

Newmum0615: The bolded is not entirely true sha. I always used the sample answer sheet during practice. I and hubby, and we never used extra sheets. We both got a 7.5 in writing. That some people used extra sheets does not mean they are always writing what makes sense. I knew from constant practice that I always wrote between 270 to 290 words. I never used extra sheet. It's not a deciding factor. I had time to count my words during the test and it was 286. No extra sheet. @LeakPlug, try and give yourself extra time during practice to count your words. If you do that constantly, you'd soon know when you have gotten to at least a 250. Your handwriting cannot change in size overnight naa. At least, it worked for me. If you are sure you got to 250, ask for a remark. Tiny handwriting squad (aka People that they can't spy from ) very important reminder that everyone's case is different and personal on this journey. |

LeakPlug: I'm sure that I hit the required words, just scared because of what I have read from this forum about IDP. Bros if you have the 45k to risk go for it and stop relying on others' experiences as we all have different destinies in life. But when you say you're sure, how sure are you? Cos something I noticed when I wrote is that very few people took extra sheet, meanwhile it's quite difficult to hit 250 without extra sheet. Apart from practicing with official sheet beforehand to know how many pages I needed, I actually counted my words in the exam Hall to confirm I was above board. This last paragraph is not necessarily for you, just my belated contribution to the discussion on Nigerians' writing scores. |

LeakPlug: IELTS (12 May), 1st attempt.
LRSW, 9,9,8,6.5 So heartbroken, MOD-IDP why? I am already tired. Prepared for this test like mad. Don't even know what to do at this point. If you're sure you hit 150 and 250 words, Please remark if you can afford it since it only takes about two weeks. But follow up your request by mailing IDP midway to ensure your script gets to Australia. You can get details on contacting IDP by searching the thread. |

I paid for the first two only (N14,350). So once you get the SMS, you go pick up. By the way, try to go with the exact amount.
