Type and send the soft copy to them to print themselves rather than you printing for them to sign. |

Better stick to the one you can backup with better evidence. Let's avoid making assumptions about others. Nobody knows it all. Besides its not even such an incredulous discrepancy. Who no go no know. |

Kemzyebony: Well maybe for writing he shouldn't be used , but for speaking he helped me a lot especially the PPF method thingy. I always recommend ieltsbuddy.com for writing tips...my opinion sha, worked for me. PPF is the best ever, and Jay scored a 9 on his speaking test. His letter writing is also okay. Don't know about anything else. Though the other instructors have not written ielts so we don't know what they'll score if they do... |

drdams: Many thanks.
Dats another 100 dolls mehn! okay. People are spending thousand of dollars for 2 or more certs. It depends on your score sha, if you'll have a very high score by the time you add masters, then no need to hurry. But if you'll be coasting 430s or 440s or even 450s (scores are usually high at year end and no one knows if they'll bother coming down next year), then do your best to beat the tie-breaker by diving as early as possible. |

Have you read page zero of this thread and followed all the links therein? I recommend you do so. Evaluate your bsc and write ielts, then enter the pool. Subsequently you can evaluate your MBA if you need additional scores. More answers embedded. drdams: is points to be gained (from MBA) significant? yes b. can I proceed to result verification before writing IELTS.? yes c. which out of WES, et al is cheaper with efficient servicr delivery? you can visit their sites one by one and check their prices. then read people's experiences on this thread and candavisa forum to get their efficiency ratings.

Thank you as I await your response. The question will be there until you answer. You can even log out, travel to Jerusalem and log back in. The question will still be there. But you cannot see the next question until you answer the one you're seeing. And you will not see it again after you answer it. |

Luce: @ifeoma77 please disregard the pm I just tried to initiate; I'll just ask my question here.
My Wes status has been stuck on "we are evaluating your report" since the 18th of May. My estimated completion date is this Friday 8/6/18, however I'm trying to project the possibility of it being ready between today and tomorrow morning. So my question is this, is there any other stage between this stage I'm at i.e "evaluating your report" and the completion of the report? For instance, a "we are authenticating your report" stage ( I feel like I saw that somewhere) or is it still probable that I might get the report at least 2 days ahead of schedule? i.e. Today/Tomorrow. A day or two to completion it changes to something like 'final review' |

AyubAlam: I guess all depends on the actual equivalence which the people in this forum will receive after completion of F1-F3, and not what I believe or not
We still have an unsolved part of the puzzle which is to know whether the people who got one semester equivalence has done this Foundations in Professionalism module (FiP) or not. Hope we can reach at the root of this issue soon. Just out of curiosity, what's your nationality and do you live in Nigeria? Please don't take any offence at my big nose. |

happytbaby: Note the 'should', also note that FD rate depends on volume, I still see rates (not my money o) at about 15% currently while TBills are doing about 9 to 10%. Methinks your volume is low in the economic theories that apply to Nigeria, MPR is 14% so most banks PLR will be 14+. Lending rate is usually PLR+ and FD for the top 1%customers is usually PLR-. (For the rest it's a fixed rate with room for negotiation) Theory 2. It is actually more profitable to trade in TBills, Foreign Currency discrepancies etc, than through theory 1. So banks focus on their treasuries to bring in the money. However, marketing teams are still very much hooked on theory 1 because that's where their profit as a team comes from (plus bonus, plus promotion etc. It's all about spread and high loan recovery rates. Funny enough the average marketer is not properly trained and so doesn't know this. they just run around trying to meet target without understanding reason for target). This is why I'll be very surprised if any marketer gives you 15% in a conventional Nigerian bank when you're neither dangote nor Nestlé (who have huge loan portfolios with the bank and are also generating significant transaction fees). I don't know much about MFBs, but I hear they give loans out with flat interest. So giving FD rate of 20% per annum shouldn't be a big deal to them. Anyway, person can never know everything plus the rules change everyday. We're derailing the thread sha. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Tojued: 7:06pm On Jun 01, 2018 |
happytbaby: In all countries, fixed deposit rate should be higher than TB for two reasons.
1. Tbills are technically risk free. The obligor is the federal government, if the FG defaults on its obligation....its mostly unlikely. So in order to invest in FD, you musr have additional return to compensate for the additional risk. A bank can go belly-up, FG shouldn't. 2. TBills are tax exempt instrument so you cannot compare the interest rate directly. The applicable interest rate for FD =rate (1-tax in percentage). WHT is charged at 10%, so the applicable rate = rate on FD *0.9. It is the result from tbis calculation that you compare with the Tbills rate to determine which is better.
Of course whenever the tbill rate is the same as FD, go for the tbills. Nigeria is exempt from this economic theory. |

threadstone: Hello, I will have said tbills but right now the interest rates favour fixed deposits. Good thing is you can withdraw your funds anytime. In which country is FD rate higher than t-bill rate? Nigeria or Canada? |

flosk: Cic has a direct link to the hr in gtb. If the dates on my notarised letter don't match with the response of gtb hr when contacted by cic, there will be issues. Something similar happened to some gtbank staff last year and cic banned them for 5 years (their supervisor did a notarised letter for them which didnt match with that of the hr response Yes cos service dates in GTB won't be up to one year. NYSC is one year, but one month is spent in camp/ settling into PPA and service year ends one month before the documented end date. So longest time you could have spent in GTB is 10 months. What did you do immediately after December 18 2012? Did you by any chance go and work in one of your uncle's companies? Also, any possibility that the break between 2011 and January 2012 can be interpreted as unpaid maternity leave? |

flosk: Requesting for a new one without noc 1111 is not the issue but the real issues are:
1. The job description doesn't match any noc (can you think of anyone 2. The one year as a total is split between 2 periods( ie 1 month in 2011 and 11 months in 2012. Now I see what the issue is. January 16 to December 18 is 337 days, short of a year by 30 days. You must have at least one year, in the last ten years before you submit your electronic application for permanent residence, of continuous full-time work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in a skilled occupation listed in Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the 2016 version of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC). |

flosk: I don't know why the hr officer put noc 1111. I'm just seeing that. Where did they get the idea to provide NOC for you? Wetin concern them concern your NOC? Do we use NOC in Nigeria? Can't you request them to edit that out of the letter that it's inaccurate information? Otherwise an LOE should cover this, that we don't use NOC in Nigeria and the person who wrote the letter is not properly informed and so put a code that doesn't match your job duties. Only the applicant can determine their NOC, even the people in charge of NOC will not impose any NOC on you. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Tojued: 9:25am On Jun 01, 2018 |
flosk: What was in the letter didn't match any Noc plus the year I entered, they discovered i was pregnant so i spent a month in 2011 then they told me to come back and join the next batch in 2012. You can check the letter for clarity. I read the letter. If you've not applied yet, it's a matter of working with the info the letter has provided. According to the letter you have more than one year work experience. Keep working at finding an NOC that can work (intensify prayers so Newmum can be ministered to on the matter). And enter the pool with your 442 as soon as possible. Just my opinion sha, the case looks simple to me. Like I said earlier maybe I'm missing some background info. |
