Good afternoon E-family.

One of my reference letters omitted full-time and 40hours per week.
I just spoke with a staff at HR and he said he will include 40hours per week, but can't include 'full time' as it isn't their format.

Will the letter be okay without 'full time' ... ?
Yes

Hello guys I wanna ask just one question just one simple question , I don't ve IELTS yet and I don't ve WES evaluation yet, but I heard that one of the criteria for selection is also the longer you ve been in the pool. So can I go ahead to create a profile for myself without the IELTS especially then when I ve finally gotten. It I edit and input scores. Or is it that IELTS has to be ready before I create profile at all
Read the first post on page 137 to understand why you shouldn't fabricate ielts or wes info with hope of editing your profile when you later obtain them.

HELP PLEASE!!!

A dear friend desperately needs a PGD (in any course at all) to upgrade her points for Express Entry. From the comments here, it seems NOUN is closed for the year and although the form is still up on their website, nothing happens when I click 'Apply'.

Someone here mentioned PGDE from National Teachers Institute. It seems theirs is still on. Please does anyone know how soon one can get the result once one is done with the programme? It's a race against loosing points via age. I got my PGD result from UNIBEN years after I finished my programme...I don't want that to be her lot.

Please any recommendations of schools with quick results will be highly appreciated.

Make una help us abeg.
Do a nairaland search of travel section 'nti transcript' or 'nti eca' or national teachers institute transcript' so you can see what others have posted on this.

Also search for 'ACCA F1 F3' the knowledge may come in handy.

If you don't know how to do nairaland search veg page zero for instructions and if it's not there ask Google 'how to do nairaland search'

What to expect for medicals in Abuja Clinics, Amazon Street, Maitama.

The fees are s follows:
Adult - N48,000
Child (below 10 years) - N10,000

When you get there:

You'll be asked to fill a hospital registration form for you and each member of your family. You'll be asked to pay N7500 each for registration.

Anyway after the forms, they'll take a digital photo of you and your family each. Then send you off to the nurses for vitals. They'll send you to go see the Dr. She's a female Dr. She'll do a check on you and review your vitals. Then she'll send you off for blood work and xray.

Your blood will be taken then you go for the chest xray.

From there you go back upstairs and complete your payment if they split it for you. You'll be given consent forms to sign and given Information sheet to upload to your application as proof of medicals.
1. Paid only registration fee for my two year old. So his total cost was 7500.

2. Paid the balance money after seeing doctor and before going for lab / x-ray. Urine test is included in the lab tests.

3. After blood test, x-ray is same basement area. I made mistake of going back upstairs to ask where x-ray room is.

4. You can drop your email address at the lab if you want a copy of your result.

5. It's important to have an idea of the entire process beforehand and direct yourself accordingly, the ladies at reception were not helpful. It would have taken forever if I did not already have my nairaland compass.

6. I was overtly tested for HIV, syphilis and something else I can't remember. There was no gonorrhoea, no hepatitis, no tuberculosis test.

7. The doctor did not bother isolating my eyes for the reading test. However, she examined both my eyes during the physical test.

8. The doctor, nurses very nice, efficient and professional. Receptionists, overwhelmed, inefficient (was actually attended to by trainees) and so borderline rude. Lab attendant and x-ray lady, efficient and professional with no extra niceties.

9. The x-ray machine is big, scary, and talks! Make una no laugh me sha but I was like Eze goes to school when the bed started lifting to carry me inside the machine. Thank God the attendant warned me that it will talk... Na so I for jump run comot When the loud robotic voice talk say make i breathe lol.

10. Enjoy your Saturday!

Hi,

I have my B.Sc. transcript evaluated by GCE. Do one need to still evaluate my transcript again by WES?

Can I ask GCE to send my transcript to WES instead of asking my UG institution to send it to WES?
Thanks for reading page zero, but it's just the start point. Step two is to follow all the links provided there.

You can use GCE if it's on the list of evaluating agencies approved by IRCC.

If GCE is not on the list, then pick one from the list and visit their website for their requirements. WES for one requires your transcript in an envelope sealed and stamped by your institution.

In the spirit of DIY, you can kickstart your PCC process officially here http://npf.gov.ng/character/

Register and print out the slip, then go to Police State Command for 'biometric capturing'. I guess if someone does it they'll have leverage when bargaining for the PCC.

I was only asking cos I am travelling to Kaduna so I wanted to be sure that I don't need to rush back to Lagos to do the Biometric capture within that period if our PPR comes in after July 31st.
There's vfs in abuja. Two hours away from kaduna and you can even go by train cheesy

But do they really do HIV test? Or we are looking at it from the angle that there is need to disclose it to the doctor because it will be a misrepresentation not to?
It is impossible that they won't do HIV test. While HIV is not a death sentence, AIDS is a very serious disease and also very expensive to treat.

For someone who's already properly managing their HIV status, they had better disclose at the point asked by the doctor. Besides, it will be easier to challenge inadmissibility if you have records that you've been managing your status for years, you've had zero related illnesses for years, this is the drug you've been taking and how much it costs, etc.

If you feign ignorance and wait for medical test to discover your viral load, it will be more difficult to prove that your case can be managed below the cost threshold.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a possibility of them rejecting anybody as a result of having a positive to HIV? Spouse & child are Negative.
Search Canadavisa Forum for this or ask google 'Canada immigration medical inadmissibility HIV'. Also search google for 'new policy medical admissibility Canada immigration.'

You have to prove that the cost of your drugs and treatment won't exceed the yearly limit. It used to be tricky because while ARVs are heavily subsidized in developing countries, they can be pricey in the developing world. Fortunately, there was a recent increase in the yearly limit (it was tripled) so PLWH (especially with low or undetectable viral loads) should have it easier than before to scale the inadmissibility hurdle.

Thanks. Was it a chart you were told to read from? and how did you cover your eye?
Input 'canada cic medical inadmissability' on Google and read up on whether being blind in one eye can hunger your application or not. Trying to hide a medical fact during your medicals is not the best approach. Even if they don't isolate each eye, you ought to disclose to the doctor anyway.

Good day all. Thank you for the good work so far. I took time to read good portions of parts 1-3 and this but I will be grateful if my question gets answered.

I am 32 years old and a lawyer and hubby is 36 and an Engineer. We both have no Masters. I felt he should be the primary applicant because

1. My university grade is not so pleasant though i made a 2:1 in law school (I don't know if it is a factor)
2. It would be easier to get his transcript from unilag than my school in the East with the attendant logistics.

So he registered with WES yesterday, paid and got the code, he has also paid for the transcript with his school today.

i stumbled on a post here now that a law degree is given the same score as Masters and they advised the lady who is a lawyer to be the primary applicant. I also discovered that with my age, I should be able to gain higher scores than him.

My question is that is it possible to cancel the WES process he has started and get a refund? If i am the primary applicant, will he need to verify his certificates with WES later in the process to justify the WES expense incurred?

Answers will be appreciated.

Thank you
