I have assisted someone here getting his police report. I will gladly assist anyone here, but when it concerns money. Lailai, I can't. I can only give tips. @Staggerlee. There is no need to swear. @Samtol transferred the R4,000 to the Capitec Bank account for me the following money and I paid him N88,000. There's no point dragging a dead horse. I needed help and came here. He offered to help and did. I only came back to appreciate him. |

Thanks to @SamuelUMOH, I successfully paid the R4,000 yesterday. I paid into the account provided on Tuesday night and the recipient in SA got the funds on Wednesday morning. Rate of Exchange was also good. R1 = N22 |

Please I need someone to help me pay R4,000 to someone in Johannesburg while I credit the person's account in Naira. I am willing to credit the Naira account first then the person can pay the beneficiary the Rand equivalent. We will agree rate of exchange. @femiaction @staggerlee @samtol4 or other peeps in the house, kindly help. |

Aro007: @ Tokyobulls, Seems you know alot about the uber driver's expectation. DO you by any chance have an idea of the car owners expectation? Partner's earnings depends on the car and the driver. A sound car with a hard working driver can earn between N80,000 and N150,000 as gross income. To earn more, you need to study and understand the peak periods and ensure your driver drives during those peak periods. You also need to study different places in Lagos and ensure your driver is smart enough to see where demand is. Different areas will surge at different times and most of these surges can be predicted. |
Business › Re: Detailed Guide: How To Register As An Uber Driver in Lagos by TokyoBulls(m): 9:54pm On Feb 14, 2016 |
I am a partner with Uber Lagos and I can understand the concern with earnings. However, I believe things are not as bad as painted. Uber drivers get more trips than any other drivers I know in Lagos. Most of my drivers do more than 8 trips in a day and some do above 12. Demand dropped significantly in January due to many banks, starting with GTBank, blocking all Uber transactions which made it difficult for people to request. Uber responded by adding cash option and many riders are back on the platform. My least driver did 8 trips yesterday and no driver has done less than 6 trips today (Yes, today is Sunday and Valentine may be contributing to the high demand) but generally February numbers are good, much better than January. Average earnings in December was N172,000! For those who will rather wait, it's absolutely fine but I don't think airport taxis earn anything close to Uber drivers. These guys even struggle to give you N30,000 per week. |

misayada: Pls clarify, is Uber in Abuja? I would need more details as I am interested, provide details. Thank you I did not find Abuja on their website. Abuja is on the radar for 2016. The GM for Uber Abuja (Bankole Cardoso who was with Easy Taxi earlier) has been recruited and partners are aware so they can start preparing |

naijacutee: It's quite straight forward:
- You need a car 2008 or newer - You need a driver to drive it - You need a smart phone - You need insurance for the car - The driver needs to undergo training with Uber and sit an exam - The driver needs a Lagos State Drivers card
Everything you need to know, including how much you should expect to make is covered here: http://www.mrpepe.com/startups/how-to-make-₦250000-a-month-driving-uber-taxis/ Uber Lagos no longer takes 2008 cars. The condition is now 2009 or newer. |

cuteonline: Please can you share what the average income your car/driver makes in a week/month? Top 20% drivers earn about N120,000 to N160,000. Average is about N80,000 but some drivers earn less too. Most drivers earn 20% of the net income to partners |

Diamond1960: 1. Please has the ban been lifted on ATM withdrawal in the Rebulic using Naira Master card? Can we now withdraw from south africa atm with our Nigeria cards?
2. Please I want to know if it is good for me to convert my naira to dollar here in Nigeria and latter change it from dollar to rand when i get to the republic.
3. And what is the maximum rand some one can carry along when travelling that the law enforcement will allow?
I need your view on it..... Thanks.. 1. I just returned from RSA on 3rd February and I could not use my GTBank Naira Mastercard to make cash withdrawals and when I called the bank, they said all ATM cash transactions are blocked within Africa for all GTBank cards. However, I was able to use it across POS for payments. 2. Remember that you lose some money to BDC every time to make currency conversion. I always prefer a maximum of one currency conversion. The BDC on your extreme right at MMIA changes Naira to Rands (1 Rand = N20 last time I checked). 3. You are allowed up to $5,000 or equivalent as BTA or $4,000 or equivalent as PTA. R 50,000 is the limit for SA. |

I applied for visit visa and VFS told me I do not need a new visa for this travel. I travelled yesterday and am now in Johannesburg. The visa is valid as long as you are not staying for more days than initially approved and you enter before expiration. Thanks @femiaction for your assistance. |

Tolujoseph: So my question is who takes the car home after the days work; Uber, The Owner, or The Driver? Depends on your arrangement with your driver but Uber never 'takes the car home'. I have some cars with them and all my drivers take the cars allocated to them home. The car is insured (comprehensive insurance is compulsory on Uber) and all of them have car trackers on them so I do not need to panic. |

It is rare to get your visa processed in 3 days but it happens; it happened to me in July when I picked my passport up the third day. Please go to VFS and get your passport and hopefully, it will be good news. |

konnektwitbabs: Hello House,
Please my brother wants to apply for 3months visa and when he gets to South Africa, he will apply to a school.
The question now is:
1. Can he apply directly for his study permit in SA or he must come back to Nigeria?
2. If he can apply there in SA, how much can it cost and what is the processing time? (maximum number of days for processing at most).
Thank you all This can't and won't work. He needs to apply for his study visa while still in Nigeria. He can travel on a visiting visa and return to apply for study permit or wait and get his study permit in Nigeria before he travels. |

People in other states can join but Uber is currently in only Lagos and Abuja so the cars can only be registered in Lagos and Abuja. |
