Do you own a 2008 (or newer) car in good working condition in Lagos or Abuja and are looking to earn up to N100,000 per week by putting your car on Uber platform? The same car that currently gulps your money and is easily taunted as a liability can become an asset. You can drive the car yourself, hire your own driver or use one of our hired well trained and professional drivers. Are you a current driver with a valid driver’s license, Lagos State Driver’s Institute license, excellent customer service and a good knowledge of Lagos and/or Abuja? Are you currently employed but possess these qualities and want to earn more? You can earn up to N120,000 monthly by becoming one of our private Uber drivers. Great thing is you decide your working conditions. Interested persons can send emails to UberLagosSpectre@gmail.com and UberLagosSpectre@yahoo.com. Kindly share broadly. Thanks |
olujaidi:The owner gets paid ALL the time. Payments are via direct debits from source and the driver only gets to see payment breakdown. |
larion:Thanks for your post. We know and understand your concerns and will address them now. First, we do not work for or represent Uber Lagos or Uber Abuja. We are a public liability company with all necessary documentations. We are a business and currently have business interests in Uber and are scaling up significantly from 2016 so are looking for more cars in our fleet. We do not have a registered business mail yet and apologize for this. Second, you can talk to Uber directly as a partner and have your car with them, track your car with your own driver. This is possible and encouraged. Third, we gave 3 options concerning drivers. You can drive the car yourself, you can employ a driver yourself and we can give you a trained driver. We have partners at Uber who double as drivers and Uber does not have any issues with this. |

lalabu:There's no reason to pay 160K to agents. Apply normally and request for express service if you need the visa urgently. You do not need any agents to process visas. The requirements are there and you can arrange your documents yourself. |
femiaction:I hope we understand the issue here is not that they did not pay for their hotel prior to arrival at O. R. Tambo. I have travelled from Lagos to Johannesburg five times this year and never paid for my hotel prior to arrival at the hotel. The issue is that they used a THIRD PARTY to make the hotel reservation. Hotel reservations are allowed and you do not have to pay for it upfront. However, it must be done DIRECTLY with the hotel. I have scanned and attached the official South African Visa Requirement for all to read and keep. This should answer all questions around the requirements. Look at No. 7 for hotel reservation.

meagainstdem:Another possible scenario is that your wife applies with your statement of account with the kids (I hope they will take them as her dependants since she is also a dependant on you) so that she can start processing her application before yours is approved. Yours appear much easier. |
princebaby:There are several stylists in SA, but I do not think it should be hard to find a job in a salon with good experience. However, you must ensure you stay in a big city with opportunities and your papers are right. Do not go on a tourist visa of 3 months and stay put. You need work permit and residence permit. |
meagainstdem:You do not have a lot of issues but I see a lot of slow or no action on your part. What you and your wife need are study visas for PhD and MSc and both are processed at the RSA embassies in Lagos and Abuja. If your kids are minors, they can accompany you to RSA as dependants and you do not need to get a school for them yet (by law). However, getting a school for your kids is not difficult so do not make it look like a mountain that wants to eat you up. You are being a bit slow in my opinion. For your MSc and PhD applications, you need more than a month to process study visas and your resumption is January. Get your acts together and submit the application. For your wife, you need to convince the embassy that you are able to pay the bills for the family AND her education bills. Therefore, your application will have to reflect sufficient funds to take care of a family of 4 (Assumption: 2 kids, your wife and you) and pay tuition for MSc for your wife. In case you do not have sufficient funds for this, you need to get your wife and kids to come to you as dependants and your sponsor need to show they will be responsible for funding. You can then start your PhD first and your wife can start her MSc later. |
omo100:Please spill it Sir. |
VFS Lagos has now officially introduced Accelerated Processing Service and they charge N35,000 per application such that it takes only 3 working days and the processed application is back at VFS or sent to the applicant via UPS. This what what some of us used to enjoy free of charge by ensuring all documents are correct and by being friendly with those guys. Chei!!! N35,000 ![]() Also, they have also introduced Delivery Service pan Nigeria - N2,650 for Lagos. I have a feeling that this will become compulsory in the future. VFS definitely wants to make more money and possibly (note that I said possibly) the number of applicants is reducing and they need new initiatives to make more money. |
yinksob002:This is not advisable. It is better to be there in person. |
olusolajoel:He doesn't pick calls. He hardly reads WhatsApp messages. Link clicked but I doubt if it's real. |
godownson:By law, you are required to carry the cash because there is no way immigration will be able to ascertain that there is money on your debit or credit card. If you have up to $500 or its equivalent in rands, I believe you'll be fine. I have visited SA 4 times in the last one year and I always prefer to change Naira to Rands at the aiport and back to Naira when I return. Converting from Naira to Dollars and then Dollars to Rands and doing same on return will make you lose money. Withdrawals from ATMs in SA will also make you lose money to taxes and HEAVY bank charges. |
Internetboy:SA Visas are processed only in Lagos and Abuja. |
adebayo111:Ticket depends on the airline but it's usually around N120,000. You can use South African Airways, Arik or Kenyan Airways (connecting flight through Nairobi), but from experience, the best is SAA. BTA is about $500 (or equivalent in ZAR) but most times the immigration guys do not ask. |

@GodspowerAutos: I have a budget of N2M for a car and I want to know my options. My choice brands are Toyota and Honda. I do not want a Corolla or a Civic. Thanks |
Kellogg Co (K.N) is setting up a joint venture with the African arm of Singapore's Tolaram Group to bolster its breakfast and snack food offerings in West Africa. Kellogg will also pay $450 million for a 50 percent stake in Lagos, Nigeria-based Multipro, a food sales and distribution company owned by Tolaram, with an option to buy a stake in Tolaram's African unit. Tolaram Africa Foods owns 49 percent of Dufil Prima Foods Plc, the maker of Indomie noodles, Minimie snacks, Power oil and Power pasta. Kellogg said it intends to develop snacks and breakfast items for the West African market through the joint venture. The world's largest cereal maker will also get access to Multipro's distribution network in Nigeria and Ghana, and potentially in the Dominican Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Ethiopia. U.S. packaged food companies are increasingly looking to expand in emerging markets as customers in their biggest markets such as North America increasingly prefer cheaper private-label foods and cook more at home. Kellogg acquired a majority stake in Egyptian biscuit maker Bisco Misr for $125 million in January. |

Send me a mail via private message and I will get you a lawyer (FREE OF CHARGE) to pursue this case. You seem to have a good case but let a lawyer take it up for you. |
Are you selling a Corolla or a Camry? The ad and the second picture are talking Corolla while the first picture is that of Camry. |
How much can I get a 2013 Honda Crosstour from Cotonou? All inclusive. Delivery in Lagos |
Best is between Amaechi/Akpabio. Both have done very well for their states in 8 years. Worst is clearly Seriake Dickson. |
Sources: http://abusidiqu.com/jonathan-cannot-win-2015-election-asari-dokubo/; http://thecallng.com/2014/12/jonathan-cant-win-2015-presidential-election-dokubo-asari/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter; One of the biggest supporters and kinsman of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has declared that the president has lost the support of his political base, the South-south and the South-East owing to the failure of his government to deliver on its promises. Dokubo-Asari, at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, said that it would be tough for Jonathan to win the presidential election in 2015 if he decides to run based on the poor showing of his administration. He said that his decision to speak out was for him and others who are ardent supporters of Jonathan not to be blamed for his failure in 2015. He said: “I want to start with an Ijaw proverb, which says: the eyes watched its seven children to death. Instead of advising them, it was just looking at them until they died, while the mouth talked its only child to life and success. “We have continued as Ijaw people and the entire Niger Delta and South-South to support the presidency of President Goodluck Jonathan, but a time has come when silence cannot be golden. “We mainly speak out in issues that are very critical to the survival of our people, the survival of the people of the South-South and the South-East, which happens to be the political base of Goodluck Jonathan. “Jonathan is surrounded by very greedy people who are only in the Presidency to enrich themselves at the expense of Goodluck himself. “This brings us to another Kalabari proverb, which says: where there are elders, a goat cannot be allowed to deliver tied to a stick. “If we don’t talk and we continue to brush it aside, tomorrow we will be blamed and people will say: Mujahid Dokubo-Asari was around when Goodlcuk Jonathan was president and he didn’t talk. “Them I will be an accomplice and accessory after the fact…. “It is alarming because the South-South must have its uninterrupted eight years tenure, which is constitutional. “But with how things are going under Jonathan’s watch, we are afraid that we may not be able to have our eight years tenure because there will be no magic about it if it is going to be one man one vote.” Dokubo-Asari said he will continue to speak out despite the fact that he had benefitted from Jonathan, adding that one of those causing trouble for the President remains the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godsday Orubebe. He said: “I have benefited immensely from Goodluck Jonathan with my stake but benefit alone is not enough to make me to keep quiet when the period is very challenging for our people. “So, some of us are tempted to ask this question: why are all these things happening? “Why has the President allow some ministers like Godsday Orubebe to continue in government? “Everyday people die on the East-West Road. “If Orubebe is incompetent as he has shown himself to be, he should be removed. “Nobody voted for Orubebe. “And why is Orubebe so important to the President that he can’t remove him even in the face of his obvious incompetence and several allegation to corruption? “We feel very ashamed and embarrassed. “Orubebe was one of us. “He was attending meetings with us, sleeping in the ground with us, entering night bus with us and we nominated him to be appointed a minister. “We have gone to him and complained to him that we don’t like they way things are going in his ministry and told him that if the President leaves in 2015 without the completion of the East-West Road, we are finished. “And the man keeps telling us there is no money. “When IBB (former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida) was there, there was money. “When Abacha was there, there was money. “When others were there, there was money. “How come the money disappeared when Jonathan got there? “Jonathan and orubebe will account for the death in the East-West Road.” On the face-off between Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dokubo-Asari said there was no need for it. He said that no matter what Jonathan feels, he still remains a beneficiary of Obasanjo’s large heartedness. He said: “First, there was no need for Goodluck Jonathan to disagree with Olusegun Obasanjo. “I don’t like Obasanjo. “I don’t like his face. “I hate him. “But he was instrumental in bringing Goodluck Jonathan to power. “And the greedy people around Jonathan have not managed him enough to the extent that the President and people around him will allow Jonathan to disagree with Obasanjo openly “And if you check, all the people who supported Goodluck Jonathan and fought to bring him to power, have openly disagreed with him. “What was the cause of these disagreements? “These are the questions we want to put to the president. “Some people say Obasanjo is manipulating Goodluck Jonathan, that is why Jonathan is disagreeing with him and we ask: what has Goodluck Jonathan’s government achieved to show that it is a departure from other governments that have existed since 1956? “For us, nothing has changed. “It is still business as usual. “So what are the advice that Obasanjo gave to Jonathan that were so difficult for him to fulfill, that made him decide to fall out with Obasanjo? “Obasanjo was instrumental and manipulated the process that illegally removed Diepreye Alamieyeseigha as governor of Bayelsa State and installed Jonathan as governor, made him vice president, fought for him to become acting president and also fought for him to become president of Nigeria. “Apart from Obasanjo, there are so many people who supported Goodluck Jonathan, some have been pushed out by those who were not there to give him any support, while some others are trapped and they cannot talk. I have a feeling that Fulani man Buhari would have done more for Niger-delta than Jonathan has done so far Jonathan has done nothing for Niger Delta actually. It is getting more and more difficult to support him, the second niger bridge is another issue. Even his allies are denouncing him. What a shame! |
Ambode still leading but with Dr Kayode Hamzat coming closely behind and Ikuforiji next in Lagos. Nasir El Rufai leading with Asiru coming behind him in Kaduna. We are here waiting |
The recent territorial interests and call for an Islamic Caliphate, similar to by the Islamic State by Boko Haram has drawn a lot of attention from Nigerians and in a meeting yesterday, a Nigerian journalist based in Dubai, UAE and with close links and contacts with Boko Haram and their 'charismatic' leader, Abubakar Shekau, Ahmad Salkida reveals the ideologies of these brutal and heartless extremists and you will find these but consistent truths about Boko Haram and the war against insurgency in Nigeria eye-opening: 1. The ideological Boko Haram under Abubakar Shekau has moved from being a Jihad group such as al Qaeda to a Daula (State) and they believe that it is Allah who gives them territorial conquests so no compromise and no going back. In this light, they will continue to attempt to take more Nigerian towns and villages. Mubi is the second largest town in Adamawa State. Sources say they will attempt to move into Yola, Adamawa State capital in two days and, unfortunately, they will prefer to die in this conquest than retreat or refuse to make an attempt. 2. There is currently no cease fire agreement or any other form of negotiation between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Boko Haram as they are Nigerian Constitution (which is tantamount to treason and is democratically impossible). However, they are willing to exchange the 219 #Chibok girls for the release of over 2,000 of their soldiers. They gave the government of Cameroon a similar condition and when the government released about 200 Boko Haram suspects, they released the hostages to Cameroon, keeping their promise. The FG does not need a negotiator for this swap deal to happen. However, to release captives does not mean a cease fire. It does not mean negotiating an end to the conflict and we must understand this clearly. 3. Boko Haram will not retreat from Mubi, Bama, Gwoza or any of their 'conquered territories'. According to them, to forsake Sharia is (Kufr Al-Akbar), and this implies the Nigerian Army needs to see this as war - a war we must fight and win. We need to recruit competent and skilled soldiers who understand insurgency, terrorism and are willing, able and ready to defend the sovereignty of the Nigerian State while carrying her flag in his heart. 4. Danladi Ahmadu, who claims to be working with the FG on peace settlement and cease fire negotiation with Boko Haram has nothing to do with Boko Haram as a group and does not have any established connection with the leaders of the sect. The name Danladi in the first place, based on Boko Haram doctrine is Kufr, the name means someone born on a Sunday, which to them is apostasy. They are not negotiating and will not negotiate a cease fire agreement or broker a peace deal. 5. Against popular belief by Nigerians, installing a Sultan (for instance) as the leader of Nigeria and all Nigerians converting to Islam will not end the Boko Haram war. Their grouse is with the institution of democracy and the way of life of the Nigerian people - they have as much discontent with regular Muslims as with Christians. They want only their brand of Islam, they want to rule their 'caliphate' and have all 'unbelievers' converted. This is a clear indication of their disillusion. This is the reason Nigeria must fight now to end this insurgency. 6. Boko Haram is well funded and their major initial funding came from what they call 'Fai'u' robbery. Between 2010 and 2012, Boko Haram members carted over N500M from banks during these robbery attacks. They also engage in extortion, small scale and high profile kidnapping and ransom forms their biggest war chest. Non-combatant or inactive members also contribute proceeds from their businesses and they get contributions from like-minded Jihadi groups like AQM. A large chunk of their weapons and ammunition were seized from the Nigerian and Cameroonian soldiers. 7. There are (unconfirmed) possibilities of a smaller group using the name Boko Haram to carry out political killings and kidnappings, but the Boko Haram sect that kidnapped #Chibok girls are not and have never been interested in Nigerian politics as they are more inclined towards the global Jihad movement. They hate anything and everything in the current construct of the Nigerian socio-political environment - education, politics, civil service, entertainment, etc. Now, I believe you have a better understanding of Boko Haram. Nigerians and the Nigerian government need to see this war against her sovereignty just as it is - WAR. Boko Haram will continue to move to gain more Daula (State). They got Mubi, Bama, Gworza and now are moving for Yola. We must stop them from gaining any more territories and get back all the territories they have to protect Nigeria and Nigerians. I PRAY FOR STRENGTH, VIGOUR AND CREATIVITY FOR THE NIGERIAN ARMY IN THIS QUEST AND CONQUEST and I am very positive that the Nigerian people will win. We will plant the Nigerian flag proudly in MUBI, BAMA, GWORZA and all over Nigeria once again. LONG LIVE NIGERIA. LMAyedun: My point exactly, both APC & PDP are both looters.Having corruption charges is not the same as being corrupt. Anybody can be charged as corrupt. The court decides who is guilty. Do you remember one Olabode George that the court charged and convicted and the President granted pardon? Sounds familiar? |
