Travel / Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by tolajay: 8:23am On Dec 23, 2021 |
It's a tricky but simple situation. Normally, the Trust would say the COS won't cover your dependent. What they mean is they won't provide accommodation, flight and visa fee and other pecks to your dependent. However, you're allowed by law to bring your partner and under 18 kids with you. Hence, there's a place in the COS that states that it covers your dependent. That means, they can apply for dependent visa but not entitled to any peck from the Trust. Usually, the Trust will certainly tick "Y" as in yes for the clause that says it covers your dependents. If it doenst, you can discuss it with Trust. So, relax and watch things upload. Organised systems like the NHS and UK are always open to dialogue on any issue. Hope that helps clarify the issue. emmas2k570: 1 Like |

Omo, the matter tire me oooo. Thank you. Meanwhile, how often do you advise the change of transmission oil? Last I changed was in July. The dipstick level still looks fine. Collione: |

I did the reset after the oil was changed. It was back to 100%. Mileage was at 200500, now it's at 202200. Oil grade was 5W-30 SEA, Performance Plus. DMechyy: |

Sure, I reset the counter to 100%. Used Performance Plus Oil. The degradation happened so fast. Collione: |

With this, I presume it's cheaper using a Nigerian card abroad than getting pounds at black market rate from Nigeria. erico2k2: |

In/Expensive is relative. What's your budget? After deciding your budget, you can run a search on Google for "hotels in Ikeja". If your budget can't pick the ones in Ikeja, then do "hotels in Oshodi". They're both surroundings to GRA Ikeja. ybahrbz91: |

My oil life percentage got to 0% really fast, and I have only driven like 2000 miles after changing the oil in September. In fact, it's now at -50. But the oil level on the dipstick is still much but thw dashboard oil life percentage is already low. Must i change the oil ASAP? Your thoughts please Collione luvinhubby, kingreign, heavenlybang, presegs |

Nothing much. After getting a job/COS document, apply for a visa and state that you have a dependent. Not sure if stating that you have a child matters to some employers. Your under 18 child has to apply for a dependent visa, just like you. See details here: https://www.gov.uk/health-care-worker-visa/your-partner-and-children EniEye: |

Hi guys, UK Visa office just sent me a mail requesting Police Clearance Certificate from the Republic of Benin because i schooled there years back. For those that schooled outside Nigeria, were you asked to get police report from another country? If so, how did you get the report, especially, the Republic of Benin? |

What type of visa? Anyway, Google can direct you to the UK Gov page with the requested info. Elvisfruit: |

In his defense, poverty as used here isn't the lack of material possessions but of mental and thoughtful thinking. If so, it'll be akin to foolishness as you've highlighted. Kobojunkie: |

Interesting. But I seek some clarification about your last paragraph. Does it mean you won't accept or respect anyone who isn't a Christian or without the knowledge og God? Righteousness2: |

It's a terrible thing. Age is not barrier to this: both old and young are guilty. Many people are hypocritical, looking to appear good before those they consider better/richer than them. This untrue nature of theirs is why they won't be better. You don't MAKE IT by faking it. By the way, I'm not sure "money-monger" is apt for the description above. Please check the dictionary for that. isaiah4life: |

Have you ever been respected or disrespected based on what you have or don't have? In my residential area, I noticed that people greet me in a special way whenever I'm driving, but the degree of enthusiasm drops once I decide to walk. At the banks and companies, security officers usually give people special treatment because they flaunt car key or affluence. But for "keys in the pocket" crew like me, they look down on us until they realise we have cars too. In church, some people practically inflate the respect they accord me. I get pretty worried by such act of ingenuity, low-balling, sycophancy, plastic-humility and money-worshipping. Needless to say, na poor (mentally and materially) people dey do these things pass. It's sickening. Too many Nigerians are money-driven and regard people because they have money, regardless of how they get it. This is one of reasons many do/will do anything just to make money. We have no value for values. No premium for principles. No consciousness for content. No cheering and craving for character. For one, I detaste being "regarded" for what I have rather who I am and my content and value. Please share your experience of when people regarded you simply because you possess something. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigeria is a joke. At the heart of this tussle is revenue generation and territorial control. All the state actors involved care less about the citizens and what becomes of them. Ponder on this: Is a piece paper needed to validate a marriage OR a marriage validates a piece of paper? Not too many would grasp this. |

Nah! Mental robustness is never gender-specific nor biased. I've seen, spoken and worked with loads of smart and thoughtful ladies. My wife is a daily pointer to that. You go still do Christmas for me nau. Klass99: |

What a thought! So, the only reason you gave birth is so they can run errands for others? Omo, this country no dey go anywhere with the "quality" of thoughts and ideas I read on this forum. Our development is way beyond political pandering but the quality of minds we have in the citizenry. ayubaski: |
