The juxtaposition is troubling. "Positive violence"? More like 'sinful righteousness'. Oyinbo yi sha! Lamasta: |

You practically missed the intent of my post. It's simply to advise folks on doing research and analysis before investing. Merely investing or jumping on coins without research could burn other people as well. millennialaku2: |
Valid position Momentarily, BTC is the trailblazer. But ETH will outperform BTC due to use-case and adoption. nihilistjnr: |
How una dey get mind to put money for coins wey una no get any fundamental investment basis on? Una dey do this thing like gambling or game of luck. Na wah ooo! millennialaku2: |
There's nothing weird about it. In fact, it is a normal thing to do if they also had a public wedding event. If people witnessed the joining together then must witness the disjoining. Bvlgari: |
None! Considering the inflation and Naira devaluation trajectory, I'd advise you open a USD dorm or Eurobond account and be saving your money in dollars. It'll be more valuable when they're ready to use the fund, compared to Naira that would have been devalued and the inflation rate skyrocketing. Savings account is actually shavings account. Keep your gaze on the 26th of this month or max, month end. It's almost here. You can't help but wait till they're ready for it. Best wishes. DELSEY: |
Quite appalling. But I do believe that people decide the life they want to live by their actions and inactions. Many Nigerians are (un)consciously comfortable with their status. They may complain about it, but they do nothing about it. Many MINDS in Nigeria have been preconditioned to believe nothing can work, it's hard to make money, and one day e go better. While a few are investing all (MIND, MIGHT, MONEY and TIME). HOPE and PRAYER are no strategy to exit poverty, moneylessness and lack. To earn more, learn more (valuable and in-demand skills). Do you know that new millionaires and billionaires have emerged through this "hard times" of our country? Political governance has failed Nigerians, now is the time to advance our self-governance principles to achieve all we want to be. Best wishes. ojesymsym: |
Truly, the economic state of the country is frustrating. However, HOPE isn't a strategy for escaping poverty, lack and moneylessness. To earn more, learn more (valuable and in-demand skills). Our people must learn to upgrade their minds, improve their skills and do more resourceful and money-spinning career. It starts with the mind. Did you notice that most of the people earning below 100k who have commented here, pegged everything on the God/Grace? That's yet another problem...Over-religiousness that doesn't improve their financial or career status. I believe in God but nothing is impossible to him that believes. So, quit religion, embrace spirituality, smart and hard work. Fact: Things won't get easier for the country anytime soon. Hence, people must think ahead and grab on-demand skills. Another point is that singles (male and female) must learn to calm down and be financially independent before considering marriage. Enjoy your life before engaging anyone in marriage. Marriage no be beans ooo. In all, both the government and the governed need a new orientation of roles, rights and responsibilities. Best wishes. |
Economies and societies are not run by good intents and promises. The current structure of Nigeria will mess anyone and everyone up, if not revamped. Nigeria is currently built to fail. So, it matters little if we have the best of brains in the helms of affairs. Pastor Tunde should know this. |
Leadership or governance isn't gender-biased. Nigeria is currently built to fail irrespective of who governs. If you bring the world's best brains to govern this present Nigeria, they will be messed up. The foundation is faulty. Until we get to ground zero, nothing will change. So, get ready for more devastating happenstances without commensurate state intervention. saphiere: |
And una say make Buhari no run comot? Baba know say he go get water for hin medical procedure, make e no go lead to another story. Honestly, these news are depressing. Nothing exciting about this country. The first thought that came to mind on seeing this headline, how I must leave Nigeria by all means. |
Do you have a best friend at the moment? If yes, then you're simply wasting your prayer momentum. Marry your best friend, except he's not good enough to be tagged "best friend". Bola146: |

Okay. The points, just as yours, are subject to empirical research. At the stage, everything na opinion and speculation. Perhaps another government agency could launch a deep dive into the causes of the decline. Data is key. edoairways: |
Possible, unempirical, reasons for the decline; 1. Constraint in retrieving misplaced/stolen SIM cards due to the NIN brouhaha. 2. Low disposable income and inability of Nigerians to buy card. The country get as e be. 3. Switch to internet-enabled calls and communication, largely linked to point two above. 4. Social bonding and interaction is on a decline due to a myriad of unpalatable socioeconomic and political realities in the country. 5. Please add your own. |
This decision shouldn't be based on the money offer but a combination of other factors. First, what the nature of the Lagos and Ibadan job? If it's an oil and gas or multinational coy with prospects, then stay in Lagos and work your way through the ladder. If you operate within the tech space or any sector that supports remote work, then Ibadan is a better choice. In Ibadan, you'll have ease, peace and affordability while you sanity to advance your skill, network and networth. Think holistically Think about your sanity and future. |
