Thanks for the kind words. Your recognition of value speaks volume of your mental muscle. BTW, I am a HE on a daily course for improvement. Klass99: 1 Like |

After Thoughts 1. It's grossly irresponsible for anyone to have a child without proper planning (mental, spiritual and financial...) for themselves and the child. 2. Religious people must practice the details of their faith: God is orderly and won't do anything brashly. He that can't take care of his family is worse than an infidel. 3. Birthing without commensurate resources for the children is not suitable and sustainable for the earth. Overpopulation and its attendant effects are real and will continually grow. 4. Children are not a retirement plan. Parents should be the one to leave inheritances for their kids. 5. People aren't poor because they don't have money, rather because of the garbage in their minds. Poor people without money are the ones that justify their birthing spree, because their minds are shallow and unproductive. Supreme145: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Deconstructing age-long notions and traditions is never an easy task. For centuries, lessons on the "prime value of having children" have been un/consciously imbibed in most people's minds right from infancy. From the family circle to social, academic and religious circles, the teaching remains the same. Mind you, ours is a system where independent thinking isn't encouraged neither is inquisition, questioning and challenging ideas supported. So most people pace through life sticking to the imbibed notion of living life in a circle: Go to school, get a job, marry, give birth, work-work-work and DIE. No purpose, no impact, no legacy, no value... Some Christians believe that the bible injunction to "multiply and dominate the earth" means having uncontrolled birth. Well, Abraham never had several children, yet he fulfilled God's purpose of being the father of faith and is referenced in the story of activating God's redemption plan through Jesus. We need to wipe people's mind on everything they've been thought throughout their lifetime and reinstall model ideas for contemporary living. I recently asked a newly married friend, why she wants to have a baby and she said she wants to feel the joy of being pregnant and carrying a baby. Honestly, that response got me thinking about the thoughtlessness of many Nigerians on issues of life and future functionality. How do you hinge the future of child to your selfish ephemeral euphoria withoit having the required mental, spiritual, financial capacity to nurture the child to becoming a responsible social being? We can really do better with our choices as humans. But only informed minds can make informed decisions. Supreme145: 4 Likes |

Ogbeni, you're not a mature and thoughtful human. How can you slap another human, let alone someone you supposedly love, live with now and in the future? Apparently, you know and spotlighted a major cause of this whole brouhaha; you've refused to outgrow being a child and "mummy's boy". You're not fit to be married. Ask yourself this: How would you feel or act if you're the woman and these treatments are melted out to you as a wife? Per your last quote, marriage is easy and not challenging. The people involved are the ones that difficult, uneasy, immature and challenging like you. That's why you see some marriages working while others aren't, because of the people involved. jaksmillioniar: |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is Your Salary Enough In This Economy?, Get In Here Let's Discuss by tolajay: 4:13pm On Nov 04, 2021 |
The world has changed. Education and work would no longer be the same forever. Nigerians are not only competing for limited local resources but also global limitations. But it's better to go global than stay local. Way forward: train your mind. Shun excuses, discipline yourself. Acquire skills and play global. If you want to earn more and live about the Nigerian realities, then, think and act global. We're in a new era; traditional schooling and working systems are obsolete. The industrial age is inefficient. Tech and the quest for skills is disrupting our present and future. As it stands, Nigeria is in a race to its bottom. No developmental agenda, poor human capital, weak systems and institutions and more importantly, an army of "anyhow" citizens. One can live above these traps by being conscious and clear about oneself, developing capacity, character and consistency. Errrm...Make I chop, I dey come. |

After selecting the exam, I got to the part that says choose a test centre, where I inputed home address after which the closest centres to my address will popped up. Then i proceeded to the payment page. Best wishes. quivah: |

I think you've missed a step. You're suppose to choose a local testing company. MindHub requires a voucher, which i presume you don't have. I really can't vividly remember the process again but you need to choose an exam centre that is close to you here in Nigeria. then you'll see their contact details. Wait sef, is it NMC UK verification/registration you want to pay for OR CBT exams? quivah: |

From my research, the test isn't totally different from the previous one, just a little addition. You can check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKzLYBUxXf8 It has sample questions and insight on the new structure. Best! loriaidah: |

Hey! Not sure how you got to this page but confirm that you got here from PearsonVue's website. If that's the case, then use the same details on the billing card as the shipping info. Yes, you can use a U.S. card for payment or call the centre directly so you can pay in Naira and they'll book you. Hope that helps. quivah: |

Greetings Elders. Is there anyone here living or working in Dorset? I just got a employment offer but my estimation of the cost of living and accommodation seem quite high. Would like to have first hand experiences, compared to the generic reviews online. If you have or currently live/work in Dorset, kindly share your experience on working as a Nurse about to start a family. Thank you. 1 Like |
Politics / Flashback: The Morning After Nigeria's Independence by tolajay: 9:36am On Oct 02, 2021 |
Opening poser: Why did Nigeria's freedom fighters demanded independence in 1960? What was their vision for the country? Is this the Nigeria they fought to relinquish its control from British? -- Freedom is sweet but it comes at a prize and with utter responsibilities. 1 October 1960 heralded joy and jubilation for the amalgamated North and South protectorate of the Niger area - Nigeria became independent from its colonial handlers, Britain. It's been 61 years down the road of self-governance and internal-control, but is Nigeria better off on this track compared to the growth trajectory of the pre and neo-colonial phase? Can you imagine the mood and mode of Nigerians on 2 October 1960, the morning after the independence announcement? I did a reversed mental journey to capture the mood and mode of Nigerians on the said date, and all I see is the widespread scenery of pomp, celebration and ceremonies to bask in the euphoria of emancipation. Only a few Nigerians thought about the real task of nation building and the future. There was little or no thought, vision, plan, documentation on how to develop the country. Most key actors were engrossed with the quest for power, prosperity and public influence, neglecting the country's future to fate and divinity. The result of their short term thinking and festive mentality is here with us. For over six decades, successive governments have failed to deliver value. Citizens' trust is low, civic engagement and spaces shrink. The country continues to go down the road to nowhere. Why? Because the foundation was/is faulty. From the on-set, values and ethics have no place in our personal and national lives. The ills and dynfunctionality we see in Nigeria today, didn't start today but decades back, perhaps prior to independence, but 1 October 1960 presented the opportunity to rebuild better but we missed it and we are all a victim of that pivotal miss. While the 1960 error is already established with apparent negative impact, this is the time for us (YOU and ME) to rethink and redirect our personal, family, communal and national lives towards building not just a good NOW but a better FUTURE. What we do or don't will count for and against us in the nearest future, especially, on generations to come. We need to understand that our little actions count. We need to do the right things even when we feel like doing otherwise. We need to think of the impact of our actions and inactions on our neighbour and more importantly, the next generation. Ask yourself, are you laying a solid foundation and building right for the future? Would you be happy to expereince the Nigeria you're building or contributing now, if you could live forever? Let's not be overwhelmed or distracted by the moment. Let's live with the future insight. Think About The Future! |

Politics / Re: Banks In South-East Comply With IPOB Directive, Bring Down Nigerian Flags by tolajay: 10:10pm On Sep 30, 2021 |
IPOB is over playing itself. They've no sustained agenda for self-actualisation. Independence offered on a platter of blood can't be productive. Has IPOB ever held a consultation with lawmakers and federal government officials from the East? High-level consultations with crystal clear mandate will be more effective as against this streetwise approach. In the meantime, my deepest sympathy to all Easteners. 1 Like |
